I had a GBA back then, and back then, there was no rechargable battery. So when the battery died while I was there, it felt like the whole world ended for me. I wish I had a friend who stole from Home Depot and Walmart routinely. I saw someone's friend was like that on the RickRoll comment section and now I wish I had a friend like that.
I remember around 2008 my grandmother (bless her soul) had a gamboy and some tiger games and I picked the game boy if my 8 year old little mind got ahold of the tiger games I would be scared of that reality
Man. It really does feel like yesterday when I woke up at my friend's house from a sleepover, beautiful summer day, great breakfast, looking on the internet and seeing the AVGN posted a new episode. 9 years can come by and leave just as fast.
Holy Fuck! The RZone!!!! I got that one year for my birthday...I think I played it for 10 mins, before I decided to break it...for the good of humanity. Its gotta be bad when an 8 yr old thinks it sucks. I totally forgot about that thing.
"This tiger sure rose up to the challenge of its rivals. Had the guts, got the glory, went the distance, now it's not gonna stop! It's LITERALLY a Survivor!" is still one of the best AVGN quotes to this day
@@supersebac320 I watched this episode so many years ago, and I still use "This proves that Jesus died and changed his middle name to Fucking" to this day. Fucking amazing quote.
Forget the 90s, even in the early 2000s those fucking things were still around. I remember having several Sonic-ones in elementary school. I think they came with Happy Meals or something.
They could make an LCD game about virtually anything. Even something as mundane as watering plants. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if such an LCD game actually existed.
Jesus, anybody remember when Happy Meals from McDonalds started giving out those little single hand-held games that were almost exactly like Tiger games? I still have two somewhere in my house, and guess what? They work WAY better than the Tiger ones. Yes, cheap little Tiger "knockoffs" that came with chicken nuggets worked better than the originals. That's really fucking sad.
I got a soccer version of one of those. It was mildly entertaining and the sound was better then Tiger, and the buttons didn't make that horrible sound. Much better, especially since they're free.
@@TheTillmanSneakerReview I actually got ny Bobsled Matterhorn Mickey and Endgame Thanos in a Shopping Key Master machine. I spend like, 20 reais in both
@@myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9 also, i think YKWBS is more life-oriented, James usually rants about stupid stuff from everyday life there, not videogames.
You know, I got my hands on one of these Tiger games a few months ago. Not too different than the "9999 in 1" bootleg handheld game console that we have here in Eastern Europe. But at least ours is playable.
I remember that, my friends and I would pass them around on the bus. Except the ones we played were actually decent, they weren't overly complicated just get the highest score dodging or shooting targets.
I reckon this is still one of the best AVGN videos, even compared to the newer collection. Up there with Ghostbusters (NES) and the console reviews, like the Sega 32X and Atari 5200.

I remember around 2008 my grandmother (bless her soul) had a gamboy and some tiger games and I picked the game boy if my 8 year old little mind got ahold of the tiger games I would be scared of that reality
Sockover Dickgamer the gods took pity on you and made you pick the gameboy
You chose wisely
Mlgproface
You made the right choice.
What is a gamboy don't you mean gameboy.
Thank gosh you didn’t have to experience this

@@GDHibiji that’s my favorite part of the video 😂
I think this is the most angry the nerd has been.
i currently have 2 tiger handheld games, one of them is that same jurassic park he’s playing 🤦🏼♂️
Man.
It really does feel like yesterday when I woke up at my friend's house from a sleepover, beautiful summer day, great breakfast, looking on the internet and seeing the AVGN posted a new episode.
9 years can come by and leave just as fast.
There was a Street Fighter 2 board game? Man, they really did port that onto everything.
Cap'n Game. They even had a Zelda board game also
Can't wait for Skyrim board game. That gets ported to everything too
Cap'n Game he reviewed it in the video games episode of board james
yes, yes they did. Pretty soon, street fighter is gonna be playable on a mircrowave.
orig4mi Skyrim is almost like the modern day legend of Zelda in a way
Holy Fuck! The RZone!!!! I got that one year for my birthday...I think I played it for 10 mins, before I decided to break it...for the good of humanity. Its gotta be bad when an 8 yr old thinks it sucks. I totally forgot about that thing.

And there's more than one version of the R-Zone...
That's saying something since Kids like Teen Titans go.

"This tiger sure rose up to the challenge of its rivals. Had the guts, got the glory, went the distance, now it's not gonna stop! It's LITERALLY a Survivor!" is still one of the best AVGN quotes to this day
Just a game, and its will to survive.
This episode is probably the most quotable "it's proof that Jesus died in vain and legally changed his middle name to Fucking!"
@@supersebac320 I watched this episode so many years ago, and I still use "This proves that Jesus died and changed his middle name to Fucking" to this day. Fucking amazing quote.

He's always had a point when reviewing these games.
Forget the 90s, even in the early 2000s those fucking things were still around. I remember having several Sonic-ones in elementary school. I think they came with Happy Meals or something.
That Fry Guy In 2007 I found a TMNT one
Yeah, it was back in 2003, I think. They were used to promote Sonic Heroes.
i remember my cousin having a crash bandicoot tiger game in the 2000's
I believe in 2003, 2004 or 2005.
Yeah I remember those! I had the one with Sonic driving a Car and Knuckles playing soccer.
They could make an LCD game about virtually anything. Even something as mundane as watering plants. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if such an LCD game actually existed.
So seven years later Tiger/Hasbro is coming out with four new of these LCD handheld games. New games, old hardware.
K M Interesting.
I'd buy it... It's essentially one of those Chinese pocket games (which can be pretty good) but with cred.
Roman Bukins If you say so.
same junk hardware at $ 20
Noah?
_GET THE BOAT._
I do too and they are better.
Not all serial handlends are bad, for example, Game & Watch was good.
I had one of those too, I had a Sonic one where you had to collect rings. xD
Yes, Sega produced handhelds in mid 2000's. I remember them too.
I got a soccer version of one of those. It was mildly entertaining and the sound was better then Tiger, and the buttons didn't make that horrible sound. Much better, especially since they're free.

Isn't that true for every AVGN episode?
@@myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9 almost every*. He actually liked chex quest 1-3 and earthbound.
@@ivn2530 less than 1% of episodes, point stands
@@myoldhandlewasmadewheniwas9 also, i think YKWBS is more life-oriented, James usually rants about stupid stuff from everyday life there, not videogames.
I remember tiger games, in my area McDonald’s used to give them away as toys, they probably had crates of them in the back room.
You know, I got my hands on one of these Tiger games a few months ago. Not too different than the "9999 in 1" bootleg handheld game console that we have here in Eastern Europe.
But at least ours is playable.
I had Tails Soccer. HATED it.
I remember them too the sonic one and a monkey one
I remember that, my friends and I would pass them around on the bus. Except the ones we played were actually decent, they weren't overly complicated just get the highest score dodging or shooting targets.
😱😤
I reckon this is still one of the best AVGN videos, even compared to the newer collection. Up there with Ghostbusters (NES) and the console reviews, like the Sega 32X and Atari 5200.
18:06 if this scenario has not made it into an AVGN game, it is a shame. I want to see The Nerd doing this in a game.
