Battery short circuit

In this project after switching up UPS batteries, I shortened as a curiosity of the batteries so that the smoke battery was out.
This continued until the smoke came out of the battery
Please do not do this dangerous thing as it may cause the battery to explode.

what happened on battery after short circuit may discharge or broken??

Those are already dead/discharged. The sparks are too small for properly working ones
