linkis ahero The scene where Dahlia is exorcised is shown in the video. Not really spoilers, and he already said that pretty much anything from the original trilogy doesn't need a spoiler warning
The last case on Justice for All is one of my favorites because of how desperately bleak all of it seems. Maya is kidnapped and on the verge of death, and to save her you're cornered into defending a murderer. The tension to keep the trial from ending, scraping for more arguments, just to buy Gumshoe more time to find Maya! After Wright receives the good news his reaction is perfect. Like a huge burden taken from his shoulders. It was so amazing.
They're really half brother and sister. Trucy's father is Zak, and Apollo's father is Jove. They both have the same mother however, Thalissa, or Lamiroir, whatever you want to call her.
One of the best scenes for me comes from one of the most lackluster installments of the whole franchise. A girl is accused of murdering someone she loved dearly. As usual, there doesn't seem to be a soul who believes she didn't do it. Everyone she hoped could help her has given up on her. Everyone but Phoenix. He says he's a lawyer, and he can help her. But he's just trying to make her feel better, isn't he. After all, he was there when she was with the still warm body. Whether he meant to or not, for an instant, he looked at her as if to say, "Did YOU do it?" He just doesn't want to admit that he suspects her, too. He knows this is what she thinks. He knows she doesn't trust him. But she knows he's just trying to do his best. After some absence, Phoenix comes back. He tells her there is no one else to turn to. She puts on a brave yet resigned smile. Yes, at least he tried his best, but he shouldn't force himself anymore. But then he shows her a book. There are dozens upon dozens of names written in them. They're all law firms, and they're all crossed out. All but two. Phoenix says they're willing to listen. There's no guarantee they'll accept, but he has to at least try. That's when the girl realizes, for the first time. She realizes Phoenix's suit is drenched in rain. She realizes his back covered in flower petals. She realizes he braved the elements for her, looking for help. She realizes God-knows-how-many doors were slammed in his face. She realizes he went up to God-knows-how-many more doors every time. She realizes she has someone on her side. The girl stands. Phoenix turns. They both speak at once: "Please defend me!" "Please let me defend you!" They pause. They realize. They bow. They forget the glass window. They bruise their foreheads. Of course, I'm talking about a scene from episode 2 of the Ace Attorney anime, where Phoenix becomes Maya's lawyer. As middling of an adaptation as it was, this was the one scene that took full advantage of the fact that it didn't have to rely on dialogue and text like the games. Using only the visuals and very few words, it manages to inject all of the heart and humor one could hope for from this franchise. And there is truly nothing else in this franchise quite like it.
I would appreciate it if everyone who has played Spirit of Justice to refrain from talking about it in the comments section until the game is out. You might have played it, but please keep in mind that some of us have not as it has not been released outside of Japan yet. Thank you.
One of my favourite moments in the games I have played was Acro's breakdown. Seeing him raise his head and smile while tears streak down his face, talking about his motive and near suicide made _me_ breakdown in tears.
*spirit of justice spoilers* soj had probably the best twists and moments. Dhurke is dead, Amara still alive, Nahyuta and Rayfa are siblings, Garan can't spirit channel, etc. maybe it's just me but I loved and hated seeing Apollo's heart tear apart in this game
I personally liked it when (spoilers for ace investigations 2) When sebestian grew some backbone and took down his father in the 5th case, it being paired up with first class farewell and wanting to find the truth really brings it home in my mind
That case was too brain dead to take anything in it seriously. Cold manipulators who lost all hope in humanity? Seen this type before, passed the feelings through me, thus understand them completely and know all there is to know about the type. So nothing groundbreaking here, either.
Do people actually call investigations the best game in the series? I'm my experience I have heard many more people say that about Trials and Tribulations.
Purple Deco I haven't played that but based on the context of the statement the uploader made regarding being best in the series it was clear that he was talking about the first game.
I like the scenes where... 1 Phoenix breakdown. This moment showed just how much Phoenix cares about Maya. And losing her pretty much tears apart his world. 2 When Phoenix falls off the bridge and we get to play as Edgeworth.
Personally, I liked Dahlia being exorcised better than Godot's confession, it was just so amazing watching Mia drag Dahlia through the mud and defeat her once and for all
I would have expected AAI2's villain reveal to be on this list. I mean, Jeff Master's thing is great, but in my opinion, not on par with the moment when you realize who the mastermind is. I would rank it the #1 moment in any of the games, hands down. Also, *[SPOILERS FOR PLvsPW:AA]* The moment when Layton enters the court with his track playing in the first witch trial, or when he enters in the last trial, taking over the inquisitor's bench are the best moments in that game. Although, trying to solve the final puzzle while the Pursuit theme is playing is epic too.
I just finished AAI2 and it's for sure better than the first one. One of my favorite in the series and I'd say the twist with Simon was more of a surprise for me than with Matt Engarde.
I'm just gonna come out and say that despite the fact that I like Godot his plan was ridiculous. I know HIS reasons for doing it that way. It was strictly for revenge. But why the flying fuck did Iris and Misty go along with it??? SERIOUSLY. Even Godot said that if he really wanted to stop this he would have gone straight to Phoenix. So what stopped the other two from doing it? While Iris was a tool anyways and less likely to have understood the situation fully. Misty HAD to have known you need an adult to enter the training course. She could have explained things to him in an attempt to stop all this from happening. And Iris could have said something to Phoenix during that night. I'm sorry but those two are the biggest idiots in this franchise.
Diego Armando Why are you saying that? I'm asking you to state a counter argument. No name calling no "Nope, I'm right your wrong!" When even Godot said so himself how wrong he was, and states his reasons for doing it that way, you understand his point. However there was never EVER a valid reason for Misty and Iris to follow his plan. And if you want to say otherwise then say it.
This 1,000 times, I don´t think there's that many people who didn't play the extra chapter, It was amazing, Gant was a though to break person, it was so well planed
That was hardly surprising, he was shown to be a douche long before the climax. ("There are only three people I look out for - I, Me and Myself!" ( - "...And all three are assholes" - (c) DSPGaming )) Though the reveal of the full extent of his vileness was shocking enough alright.
2:45 - Thing is, some of them wouldn't even need to use paint. 6:45 - Joan of Arc. 9:15 - Is that me on the right without my glasses? :P Oh wow, I actually felt a wave of relief when I heard he was saved. Even just through spoken speech I felt a good mite of satisfaction. 11:57 - Echosmith.png 16:25 - Damn, a great deal of respect for him for being such a good sport about it. I imagine that coffee would have been consumed with a good mindset about him. I very much enjoyed this, even as one who isn't fully familiar with the series (maybe that's a reason for me not to watch this video because of spoilers? Ah well, too late now). For real though, I liked this a lot. A good show of what's to come in AA month.
For Me personally Edgeworths return in the second game is my favorite moment just because it brought him back as a sort of guardian of truth character, and he put von karma in her place and i thought it was great
One thing I loved about Godot was the moments he would "call out your bluffs". Generally, when you get something right, the cross-examination music stops to segway to another. But sometimes you'd object but the music wouldn't stop (Like the finale accusation with Mia's spirit) and he'd make you hesitate if you did the right choice. All and all the best prosecutor (Yes, better than Edgeworth). Thanks for the memories, Diego Armando.
11:27 "He looked you in the face, flipped his hair back, magically pulled out a glass of...something, and told you that he hired an assassin to kill Juan Corrida." I died at "magically pulled out a glass of...something." EDIT: Okay, I’ve done some internet research, and it turns out Engarde is holding a glass of cognac (a type of brandy). Still doesn’t explain how he got ahold of it in jail.
My favourite Ace Attorney Moment is in fact in Ace Attorney when Kristoph is brought down by Apollo and Kristoph's own brother Klavier. This scene is just awesome.
Jeff's, Von Karma's, and Godot's were my favourites. Jeff Master's case made me cry so much like the whole story was so sad. He's an amazing guy. I agree Apollo Justice wasn't that bad, the relief I got from the last case after they arrested the guy was great. Also hearing Phoenix's objection for the first time after his badge was taken was like "omergad he's back".
My favourite moments in the Ace Attorney series are when someone apparently too good and/or harmless shows his/her true face and literally change their appearance to reflect his spoiled dark side. You never see it coming. You never suspect him/her till the last moment. it could be the person more next to you or the most casual of the characters. The twist is always unpredictable and I love it.
The ending to Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright was such a twist, freaking loved it, but never understood the pure black thing all the way. Aside from that though, it was excellent!
"I haven't played DD yet so I'll just stop watching the video if he mentions it and come back after completing it" *Puts DD's final plotwist as the transition* "thank you"
To be honest, I didn't want to click because of the Chihiro OC... I still regret it. "Engarde betrays you" NO, he didn't. He was never your ally to begin with. He was just using the player. I also heavily disagree with Simon's acquittal. Simon's disco rave tesimony was a FAR better moment.
One of my favoruite/saddest moment of the entiry AA serie, is the rivelation of the true identity of Detective "FoolBright". I mean, I was like "I really love this detective!" but then... WHY HE DID THAT?! Oh no, it's not the real detective, ok it's fi... DID HE JUST SAID HE DIED 1 YEAR AGO? THAT'S SO DEPRESSING! /starts crying like a little baby
Godot's confession actually made me cry and for a moment I wanted to stop playing because I didn't wanted to see him as the assasin, that part was really hard for me
I think the best moment in any ace attorney game is in Investigations 2, case 5 where you finally convict the true villain of the game, ending the amazing story that was investigations 2
Gr33nRiver No see, I love some villains, like Dahlia Hawthorne. I think she's a great villain and she's awesome. Kristoph, however, is just the worst kind of person (in my opinion at least) and I just can't make myself like him. I fully admit that he is a good villain, but I just hate him so much.
GK2 SPOILERS I'm surprised the moment where Justine indicts Blaise wasn't here. Just when you thought she was gonna send Kay to jail she just shouts "Blaise Debeste! I hereby indict you!" and the pursuit theme starts playing was just amazing and you realize that you were helping your "enemy" to indict the guy not telling von Karma where Isaac Dover's body was which in turn forcing him to forge an autopsy report and get a penalty therefore leading to the DL-6 incident.
Thank you so much for saying that AJ isn't the worst Ace attorney game. AJ is actually one of my all time favs. Tho the cases weren't my favourite ones but just the whole situation with phoenix? !? I love it! I also love the characters, they brought a new side to the game, at least it felt like that for me. Anyway, great video :) Just had to get this of my chest
The last trial of Trials and Tribulations is my favorite. The relevance of the previous cases to Mia and Phoenix and the fact that you actually play those trials instead of just reading about them makes the last one so much more powerful.
after some research on serial killers i found one that was murdering during the PW trilogy. his method of killing is very hands on and strangling and to me seems very much like shelly de killer. creepy. SHELLY Andre brooks Classification: Serial killer Characteristics: Rape Number of victims: 7 Date of murders: 2001 - 2006 Date of arrest: July 30, 2006 Date of birth: January 22, 1969 Victims profile: Sandra Davis, 53 / Pamela Greer, 33 / Marion Woods-Daniels, 36 / Rhonda Myles, 45 / Thelma Johnson, 30 / Melissa Toston, 38 / An unidentified woman Method of murder: Beating with rocks or sticks Location: Detroit, Michigan, USA Status: Sentenced to life in prison without parole on March 27, 2007
The one moment i will never forget is finding out that Bobby Fullbright was the phantom the whole time. I really liked him as a character and i never thought that he would be the phantom. I literally screamed "NO WAY!" when it was hinting that he was the phantom.
finding out who the true culprit of AAI 2 was an awesome moment, and one im sure no one saw coming. im not sure what was more surprising the DD villain or the AAI 2 villain
My favorite part of Godot's arc is how his song changes meaning and feels like a lament after you finally know his whole story. The song kinda felt outta place for a prosecutor at first, then you get used to it, then it sounds amazing, lol.
[Ace attorney investigations 2 spoliers] Bruh when sebastian appears in court just to prove his father is guilty and Ichiryus Farwell starts playing is just so amazing.
I thought for certain the moment in dual destinies during case #1 when Phoenix busts through the courtroom doors and yells objection! saving Athena and Junie would've clearly made a moment on this list
Yeah, Apollo Justice wasn't that bad. Apollo's perceiving powers weren't TOO timed, the cases were good, some characters were VERY memorable, the judge was (as always) funny ("PANTIES?! AGAIN?!")... I personally think AAI2 should be more hated than it currently is (it's decent, but a timed gimmick who's basically a "guess right or guess wrong" game gimmick with A FUCKIN' TIME LIMIT just makes the game FUCKIN' HARD!)?
+Extremmefan are you pertaining to the Logic Chess? That was the most amazing in my opinion. It's like a timed interrogation... And making them spill the beans themselves is worthwhile.
The Awesome Dreb That's what makes no sense, actually. Who would EVER think of introducing a TIMED mechanic in a game where you need to THINK (which requires quite a time for some people)?! Plus, there ARE people who are bad at social relations and who wouldn't know what to do in this case. Seriously, as much as I am bored by the thought of seeing the walkthrough playlist of T&T, I'd rather do that than watch *the entire GK2 walkthrough*.
The Awesome Dreb In-game, it makes sense, but... out of the game's plot, it doesn't. Phoenix (and even Apollo and Athena, and Edgeworth in the first Investigations) took their time talking with the other characters, no matter who the latter are (and regardless of time, too).
One of my favorite moments is in AJ when as jury no 6 you need to choose a verdict. you choose not guilty you see Lamiroir and you see the same bracelet Apollo has and you learn that she is Trucy and Apollo's mother. Its an amazing moment Imo. And godammit Phoenix tell Polly and Trucy already.
For Investigations 2, I wish Simon’s True Identity was on the list since he is revealed as the mastermind behind multiple cases as you as Edgeworth, convict all of his enemies for him.
I'm not going to lie, the #9 moment pissed me off a lot about the crossover game. There were no stakes, the magic was fake, the Storyteller's plan was nonsensical, Espella tries to get herself killed AGAIN, Darklaw doesn't have a breakdown, etc. There were so many things about that segment that annoyed me.

linkis ahero The scene where Dahlia is exorcised is shown in the video.
Not really spoilers, and he already said that pretty much anything from the original trilogy doesn't need a spoiler warning
Oh, ok. Another moment I really liked was using the bloody ace in Apollo Justice to uncover Kristoph as the real culprit.

TOO perfect.
The last case on Justice for All is one of my favorites because of how desperately bleak all of it seems. One of the best scenes for me comes from one of the most lackluster installments of the whole franchise.

They both speak at once:
"Please defend me!" "Please let me defend you!"
They pause.
I was like "what the fuck, did I miss something" and when I read the "let me defend you/please defend me" part I then knew what scene it was
Them banging their heads on glass was a *DEAD* giveaway
Best scene in the anime.

11:27 "He looked you in the face, flipped his hair back, magically pulled out a glass of...something, and told you that he hired an assassin to kill Juan Corrida." I died at "magically pulled out a glass of...something."
EDIT: Okay, I’ve done some internet research, and it turns out Engarde is holding a glass of cognac (a type of brandy). Still doesn’t explain how he got ahold of it in jail.
My favourite Ace Attorney Moment is in fact in Ace Attorney when Kristoph is brought down by Apollo and Kristoph's own brother Klavier. This scene is just awesome.
I'm kinda surprised the reveal about Fulbright wasn't on here. It blew me away when I saw it.
I thought the best moment in Apollo Justice was when it was reveled Lamiroir was Apollo and Trucy's mother.
"Im dead now."
"God damn it."
"I haven't played DD yet so I'll just stop watching the video if he mentions it and come back after completing it"
*Puts DD's final plotwist as the transition*
"thank you"
"Alright! We won the case!" "I'm dead." "...****."
To be honest, I didn't want to click because of the Chihiro OC... I still regret it.
"Engarde betrays you"
NO, he didn't. He was never your ally to begin with. He was just using the player.
I also heavily disagree with Simon's acquittal. Simon's disco rave tesimony was a FAR better moment.
Yeah, it's a pretty shitty video
Turnabout Randon ... Randon, what exactly is your icon even from?
It's Chihiro Fujisaki from DanganRonpa in Mei from Overwatch's outfit
Turnabout Randon Ahhhhhhhh, now I get it. Thanks.
IS THAT HOW YOU PERNOUNCE GODOT?!?! I always thought it was go-dot.... it sounds so much cooler Dx
Godot's confession actually made me cry and for a moment I wanted to stop playing because I didn't wanted to see him as the assasin, that part was really hard for me
YOU'VE GOT THAT WRONG!........oops sorry wrong character
I find the moment when simon keyes pretends to have a breakdown just to reveal it was just a prank way better than proving jeff master innocent
I think the best moment in any ace attorney game is in Investigations 2, case 5 where you finally convict the true villain of the game, ending the amazing story that was investigations 2
"ace attorney moth" best idea ever
Ever considered doing a countdown of your favorite Breakdowns in the Ace Attorney series?
Awesome.
Just awesome.
I'm amazed at how much we agree in pretty much everything
At the beginning, the speakers were at full blast.
Let's just say I screamed a little.
Every time I heard you say you liked Kristoph Gavin I died a little inside
Why? Kristoph was Fantastic
Gr33nRiver I hate him. I hate him so god damn much dude. He's a good villain, and I fucking hate him for it.
+Renagami You can love a game villian
Gr33nRiver No see, I love some villains, like Dahlia Hawthorne. I think she's a great villain and she's awesome. Kristoph, however, is just the worst kind of person (in my opinion at least) and I just can't make myself like him. I fully admit that he is a good villain, but I just hate him so much.
Renagami he was so in control of himself till the end and his super saiyan breakdown was epic
My #2 moment was when Edgeworth quits being a prosecutor because Kay is accused of murder
That professor layton moment, the flame cage. I was so freaked out after that happened, I didnt even want to keep playing XD
You also missed when Phoenix points out Godot's final straw, the theme playing is GS1's pursuit, not GS3's pursuit.
When Maya was back, i really cried, for a moment i though they were going to let her dead in the plot, thank god that was not true.
Oh my god the scene with Terry fawles suicide I just finished playing that! I'm crying now
Why did you make the transition between each moment a major spoiler for Dual Destinies...? >.>
I really liked the moment in T&T Case 3 where Furio Tigre basically told everyone that he did it. :p
GK2 SPOILERS
I'm surprised the moment where Justine indicts Blaise wasn't here.
Apollo Justice is actually my favorite of AA games so far, one of my favorite moments is when you find out who Lamoir actually is.
0:04 my fave soundtrack of pwaa
Freaking Fragrance of Dark Coffee is one of the best themes
The last trial of Trials and Tribulations is my favorite. The relevance of the previous cases to Mia and Phoenix and the fact that you actually play those trials instead of just reading about them makes the last one so much more powerful.
Nr. 11.
When you're finally done playing "Rise From The Ashes"
Simon Keyes/Sarushiro Sota was quite the shock but at the end of the case you actually feel for him, but still hate on him anw
Good list, however calling Apollo better than the original? uhhhhhh Nah m8
+XsvruploaderX (I don't think he meant "better", I think he meant "equal")
+Extremmefan no, he really said apollo justice is better than the original, rewatch the vid
Rinat Bektursynov Well, excuuuuuuuuuse me for possibly misinterpreting it, Princess!
Extremmefan who you callin princess
Rinat Bektursynov It's-a-you!
after some research on serial killers i found one that was murdering during the PW trilogy. his method of killing is very hands on and strangling and to me seems very much like shelly de killer. creepy.

“And speaking of proving a guilty man not guilty..”
What is he gonna give as an example? That’s the point of the games
Good list but Simon being freed was my number one. Don't know if it's just me loving Simon so FUCKING much, but I like that scene best.
The one moment i will never forget is finding out that Bobby Fullbright was the phantom the whole time. I really liked him as a character and i never thought that he would be the phantom. I literally screamed "NO WAY!" when it was hinting that he was the phantom.
haven't watched yet, but for me the best part of all time was in JFA when shoe exposed de killer
simon keyes anyone?
Holy shit. Just watching the Godot scene again gave me goosebumps. What an amazing moment in gaming.
Duuude, the Gant case at least deserves an honorable mention, I got chills with that insane applause breakdown!
I REALLY want to see more of Godot, he's definitely my favorite character
finding out who the true culprit of AAI 2 was an awesome moment, and one im sure no one saw coming. im not sure what was more surprising the DD villain or the AAI 2 villain
The AAI2 villain, of course.
SPOILER ALERT FOR GYAKUTEN KENJI 2
the killer is Simon Keyes.
My favorite part of Godot's arc is how his song changes meaning and feels like a lament after you finally know his whole story. The song kinda felt outta place for a prosecutor at first, then you get used to it, then it sounds amazing, lol.
[Ace attorney investigations 2 spoliers]
Bruh when sebastian appears in court just to prove his father is guilty and Ichiryus Farwell starts playing is just so amazing.
I thought for certain the moment in dual destinies during case #1 when Phoenix busts through the courtroom doors and yells objection! saving Athena and Junie would've clearly made a moment on this list
That number 1... best final twist in a videogame !
I played GK2 and the reason of the timed mechanic because those people doesn't have much time so it has a limit
The Awesome Dreb In-game, it makes sense, but... out of the game's plot, it doesn't. Phoenix (and even Apollo and Athena, and Edgeworth in the first Investigations) took their time talking with the other characters, no matter who the latter are (and regardless of time, too).
Hmm for me, I find it interesting and appealing because you need to be quick in your decisions... Just like life... I love games like that... :)
my fave momment is from trials and tribulations.
were Phoenix wright has a fucking mental break down over hearing maya is dead
One of my favorite moments is in AJ when as jury no 6 you need to choose a verdict. you choose not guilty you see Lamiroir and you see the same bracelet Apollo has and you learn that she is Trucy and Apollo's mother. Its an amazing moment Imo. And godammit Phoenix tell Polly and Trucy already.
One of the best moments in ace attorney cross examining a parrot
Oh yes, number 1 was friggin EPIC!
whoops continuation: took me 3 hours and when I saw him become a frail old man I celebrated
For Investigations 2, I wish Simon’s True Identity was on the list since he is revealed as the mastermind behind multiple cases as you as Edgeworth, convict all of his enemies for him.
"#7"
...
Eat your hamburgers, Apollo.
Edit: Why is the "Sister" scene from Rise from the Ashes not in this?
That was fucking emotionally amazing.
