I must have a very weird taste, but I played the original Fallouts when I was a kid. Loved them, especially 2. Played Fallout 3, I was really blown away, the atmosphere when you leave the vault, the soundtrack. Then New Vegas, that was like 3 with better dialogue, better RPG elements, basically Fallout 3 on steroids. Then Fallout 4, which was like... downgrading back to 3. I must say even 3 felt more like an RPG to me than 4. What I hated the most was the new dialogue system, where you have only 4 options and you don't know what exactly you're gonna say. I heard bad things about 76, so I skipped it. Then it was for free on steam (for a week) so I thought I'd give it a try. I really liked it, so I bought it and I still play it. After the Wastelanders update it's really good (and the old dialogue system is back!) New Vegas is still my favourite, but 1, 2, 3 and 76 are cool too.
12:11 there is couple hidden brotherhood reputation dialogue checks in helious one, probably that's why. Yes, there are brotherhood reputation speech options in base game - more you know...
I'm Scottish and i had no idea the Folklore was written to have that effect. It's a really commonly told tale to childen in Scotland, going as far to say it's solid history. The story is even frequently used as a skit in the Edinburgh dungeons. I find it mildy ironic, the scots have that tendency, to make good with what their given, potentially a way of letting the English know they weren't going to let their tales bring them down. Great video btw!
0:30 woah, I didn't know this was here. It reminds me though, there are quite a few little grooves around the Mojave Wasteland that look like cave entrances but don't actually lead anywhere. It makes me wonder if originally there were meant to be more caves to explore throughout the game that they just didn't have time to add in. EDIT: One that I can recall off my head is very close to mutant camp near The One.
6:29 No, but one of the endings implies that Followers did try to "defame" Caesar, if you let Edward die and choose Legion ending, it's said the Legate Lanius and other Legionaries hunted down the Followers because they desecrated his image
Fun fact Alexander Sawney Bean, while more than likely just a folk legend, is part of the McBean (McBain) clan and I am also a member through decent. I always enjoy telling the tales of my clan even ones that may or may not be true such as Alexander Sawney Bean.
So the quest where you bug a terminal for the followers, I've played through this game 100s of times and I've never seen it go anywhere. Was that part of the cut main quest for the followers or am I just missing something afterwards?
Yes, it was. Originally, before you could bug a Lucky 38 computer, you had to activate "Lucky 38 Executive Override" functions on 3 terminals in the H&H Tools Factory, Camp Golf, and New Vegas Steel. These options are still on the terminals in the final game, but they do nothing. I believe the executive override function may have also given you access to Mr. House's true body, considering all these locations have a Lucky 38 VIP Keycard next to them that accomplishes this, and because the Followers' primary goal in "The Moon Comes Over the Tower" was to find out how Mr. House had lived so long.
Its crazy to think they struggled to implement nvg goggles but they had multiple usage items that essentially do the exact same thing, the only thing theyd have to do is add a really cheap 2d hud layover to make it look like youre wearing the nvg's. I never even considered it until this video fr, i even have project nevada installed and use it's night vision and htermal vision functions all the time lol
It’s crazy how there’s all this cut content but if you count dlc and find all locations level up to 50 and do all the quests the game is easily 80-100 hours of content
Do you have any more information on HELIOS One turret's functionality in relation to the test firing of ARCHIMEDES II? If not, any speculation you can do? I'm very intrigued! Also, I recognize the turret type from "Old World Blues" but can't seem to recall seeing it in the vanilla game. Does it appear anywhere else in the vanilla game?
It appears in numerous places. The Hidden Valley bunker has a ton of them, the H&H Tools Factory has a few, Vault 11 has some at the very end as part of the euthanizing procedure, and the Securitron Bunker has multiple. They're called "Mark VI Turrets".
What do yo mean by Forever ?!? 😳 Im shure you will be find mooooooaaaaaaaaaar F:NV cut content. Honestly though, as others say, the vanilla game looks like a small but polished enough epilogue/demo compared to the initial intention of the devs. Good luck in the future ! 😎👌
They used to, but they never appear there in the final game, which makes it strange someone went out of their way to give player BOS reputation in that section.
It seems that many video game series have items that were cut in almost every game and which never returned. Fallout had the Night Vision Goggles, 3D era Grand Theft Autos had the landmine. It seems that some things just don't work when creating good video-games.

Fallout 4 Fans: “BRO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THIS GAME HAS REALLY COMPLEX ETHICAL DILLEMAS BRO PLEASE PLAY IT BRO”
Fallout 76 Fans: (don’t exist)
After the Wastelanders update it's really good (and the old dialogue system is back!)
New Vegas is still my favourite, but 1, 2, 3 and 76 are cool too.
Fallout Tactics & Fallout Brotherhood of Steel: "Exist"
Fallout Fans: "Imma ignore that"
@@defectiverfanatic there is no Fallout BOS there is no Fallout BOS there is no Fallout BOS must forget

12:11 there is couple hidden brotherhood reputation dialogue checks in helious one, probably that's why. Yes, there are brotherhood reputation speech options in base game - more you know...
It sounds like the second Oliver Swanick dialogue was supposed to be during an encounter with him as a legion-aligned courier.
Are you ever planning on doing cut content episodes on FNV’s DLCs? I bet there’s a lot.
I am. Not sure if it'll be one long video or 4 smaller ones yet, but they'll be the final episodes
I think I actually mention that cave in a different video lol
@@TriangleCity Oh sweet. I haven't seen it yet but I'm slowly going through the series :)
6:29 No, but one of the endings implies that Followers did try to "defame" Caesar, if you let Edward die and choose Legion ending, it's said the Legate Lanius and other Legionaries hunted down the Followers because they desecrated his image
Is that why everyone at work shows red to me? Maybe I too have "Advanced sensor" perk.
With all the cut content of New Vegas, you could probably make an entire new game.
I was watching My “friend” was play fallout new Vegas, but when he got to Nipton , he did not kill Oliver Swanick. Cut toxic people out of your life
15:40 POV: you're in fallout 3
3:30 I was always confused about this, finally it was answered
Imagine if they quit rushing games how amazing they would be.
Forgot to mention the elite riot gear helmet has some sort of night vision but more in a sepia color look I think
Followers of the Apocalypse cut quest? I sure hope that's in F4NV, but it probably won't.
Fun fact Alexander Sawney Bean, while more than likely just a folk legend, is part of the McBean (McBain) clan and I am also a member through decent. I always enjoy telling the tales of my clan even ones that may or may not be true such as Alexander Sawney Bean.
Imagine what fnv would be like if it was actually completed
I never even considered it until this video fr, i even have project nevada installed and use it's night vision and htermal vision functions all the time lol
the NVGs history reminds me of the half life 2 creamotr who was cut from both HL2 and Alyx.
Dang I thought I watched all of these and found out there's even more episodes I missed.
Still the best 3D Fallout game to this day.
@@anueutsuho7425 Ah yes, of course! Thank you for assisting my shitty memory!
What's crazy is that you haven't even covered the dlcs besides a handful of mentions.
Excellent video as always, thank you.
Viva Las Vegas, baby.
what's the song at 15:00 please
The ending slide theme in fallout new vegas
So much cut. Still more than what 3 has i'm sure
Didn't the brotherhood of steel used to control helios one or am I imagineing things
They used to, but they never appear there in the final game, which makes it strange someone went out of their way to give player BOS reputation in that section.
Cut from four different games, implemented into New Vegas in four different manners.
That's Equivalent Exchange.
It seems that many video game series have items that were cut in almost every game and which never returned. Fallout had the Night Vision Goggles, 3D era Grand Theft Autos had the landmine. It seems that some things just don't work when creating good video-games.
The riot gear helmets from lonesome roads have sneak vision, sorta like nightvision.

As a Scotsman fairly familiar with the story it’s not propaganda. Some of it will have been exaggerated but the tale is true.
I wonder how much more time they would have needed to fully get everything implemented and bug fixed
This graphics look really good! What mod are you using?
I hope if NV got a remastered m/remake have at least half of the cut content
Or how about a new game instead of just re-releasing the same game with minor differences
Have you thought about making a DLC cut content video
I'm going to!
@@TriangleCity sick can't wait to see it
My fucking god, there's enough cut content here to make a main game size expansion pack and it's own dlc.
Hey there is a sewage door that’s completely blocked off and new Vegas is it assume that they thought maybe there would be a dungeon style mini quest where you have to fight your way through the tunnels to get to new Vegas
The Followers of the Apocalypse to Caeser: I know what you are.
I love you mr triangle
