Can't believe I just fixed my toilet problem by myself!! Thank youuuu
Thank you so much! You helped fix my flush. Now my torlette flushes and refills correctly.
Thanks so much for the help! We just adjusted the chain and now it’s all good! Thanks again.
Thanks! I was scouring for all kind of solutions and this was the actual problem!
I just replaced mine, with what looks to be the same one you used. Yes just under $5.00! The new chain was too slack and caused refill issues. After watching your video, I did exactly what you did and now it's perfect! Thank you for posting!!
How do you find the exact flapper valve for your toilet? All I have is the toilet brand, no model #.
@@Layla_Bayla it was a fluke. I bought it, brought it home, then went looking for a video as to what I should do. And this video happened to have the same one I just bought. Sorry I’m not much help.
You are a genius. Thanks for having guys like you, I really appreciate your assistance, blessings to you and your family, I also subscribed and liked...amazing.
I'll have you know - that thanks to this video - I super proudly fixed my own little toilet issue. I just moved into my first place in NYC and woke uo and the toilet wasn't flushing - i searched on you tube - found your video - saw that the chain was off and fixed it! and I even changed the amount of slack! lol feeling pretty great right now - thank you!
Hey, that's super. Good job! 🙂
I can’t believe I had to legit looked this up cause my toilet won’t flush, but kudos still!
You mean your "turlet".
I had to too cause I couldn't remember what my husband told me before he left for work cause the chain broke amd now we gotta fix it. But I shit in the toilet and got a roommate... so I had to look up how to flush it another way lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The lose chain was my problem! 🙏
Before replacing with the new flapper, be sure to use an old sponge to remove any crud on and around the opening including the gasket.
msr111 👍😊
@@proclaimliberty2000 .....Cleaning the opening is really not thought of, but adjusting the chain slack is KEY to an efficient flush.
Thank you! It was the chain.
Thank you! That worked perfectly! I can't tell you how much time I wasted fiddling with the chain. Who knew it was that easy!
James In NC 👍😊
Nice and simple explanation and demonstration. Thank you!
r a. 👍😊
Great informative video, thanks
Thanks for posting this!
I know this is an old video, but this has been the most helpful tip for my toilet tune-up ever!
👍😃
I’m hoping that’s an accent because I have no idea what a “Turrrrlet” is! LOL! Thanks for the tips though!
Chuck Purnell 👍😂
Haha😅
My friends mom is from the Midwest and it sounded like she said “turd-let” so we thought it was a better more fitting word lol
I know it's quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch new movies online ?
@Zaid Drew Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just google for it =)
Thank You soo much just installed a new toilet handle and didn’t adjust the chain lookin into the water it looked like it was tight but after your video and further inspection tightened the chain and back in business
thank you, i will try that... my toilet has been driving me crazy ..holding the handle every time for too long
Did it fix your problem?? The same thing is happening to mine !
@@naomijimenez4503 nope. I ended up buying a whole new kit. I cant remember what kit, it was at Lowes
The kit worked
This video was made 7 years and it's still helpful even till now, thank you so much for this great tip, you are a life saver...Y'all can call me the newest plumber in town😊
👍😂
This video helped me fix my problem! Thank you!!
Tightened the chain as you recommended and it works perfectly now, thanks
Straight forward good advice without a lot of hyperbole or nonsense.
Thank you! I realized the chain wasn't connected. Once I connected it, the flush button started working like a charm.
Thank you Great Content and this helped me🙏😒
Fixed my flush! Thanks
I'll try to fix my own toilet to save money. My flapper valve remains open but I believe it's because of the longer chain (much longer than the one in your video). Fingers crossed that it will work well. Thanks for the tips!
this vid saved my life when i moved into my own apartment for the first time and was too nervous to call maintenance
This video was a huge help. Thank you
moonsault 👍😊
God bless u, 2!😊
Hi, Just replaced the fill valve in my Kohler toilet with a new one and it really didn't explain this in depth, Thanks!!
Thank you 🙏
After 3 other videos…this one fix my problem. Thank you!

Strange how some people think anyone is interested in grammarcheck people. Glad I came here to read people telling us how to correctly pronounce certain words. LOL I'll never understand them.

A G 👍
Thank you
Thank you so much !!!! I dislike the noise it makes.
Chasity 👍😊
I think this is what I need to do as well. I did a cleaning as most videos suggest and my problem still persisted. Pretty sure I'm having the same issue as you where my flapper was closing too quickly.
👍😊
This video really saved my aunts toilet...real life savior.

God bless you. It worked 🙌🏽😭
Johnny Wycliff That’s great!

hi the chain on my toilet is loose. Do you know how to tighten it ? I tried to do it.. its not working.. the toilet isnt flushing
this is my first time fixing my toilet by myself! turns out the flusher thing was disconnected with the flap thing 😂 thank you.
👍😃
I just fixed mine.
Thank you for video.
How do ya adjust the chain I tried to with mine but still alot a slack. Maybe I need a new flapper?
Aaron - You should be able to take up the slack with the clip that’s on the end of the chain. Just remove it and put it on another chain-link.
Perfect thanks a lot for the tip! that slack is the problem, 😂
Joanna Ruiz 👍😊
Omg thank you so muchh. This helped on the first try. Im thankful for people like you!!!!
It was the chain. Thank you!
Victor Lopez 👍
Thx
Thank big help!!!!!
Gabriel Garza You’re very welcome!
Great help
The Amber Show 👍😊
Mine is the opposite, 1 handle push and flushes twice.. I have tried lowerin the fill valve float etc but no dice.
Perhaps i need more slack but my chaib has about 1/2 slack and doesnt start flushing until over 1\2 way pushed down..
Love the cross photo. God bless you too!
Yes, I love that photo. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Without Him life has no meaing or purpose. God is great and I give all the praise to Him! Thanks for your comment.
You know there is no God right? I suggest finding some proper meaning in your life other than a fictitious "supreme being".
Dan, I have lived long enough to know that without God and His son Jesus Christ life is meaningless. Without Him you will never find any kind of lasting joy, peace or happiness. You are a living soul. What you do with Jesus Christ in this life will determine where you are 10,000 years from now.
In 10,000 years from now ill be nothing but bones, same as you. You may have lived long enough, but you are obviously not smart enough to know there is no supreme being in the sky.
"Without Him you will never find any kind of lasting joy, peace or happiness"
Well you know, there are things such as family, friends, you know, real life.....
Why is that? Because im not stupid enough to believe in religion?
Thank you!! godbless you to so nice to hear that

excellent I'm going to adjust my chain right now I'll come back and finish this comment I'll see how it goes.

I tripped while flushing and the toilet handle is loose I pushed too hard so now the water won't go down all the way or rise up high almost over flowing. What does that sound like ? B 4 this happened the toilet was fine.
I love you lol. It works
Austin Vongphachanh 👍😊
I tried your suggestion and while I was at it I also adjusted the water level float screw.
Toilet works perfectly. Total cost = 15 minutes of my time.
Thanks for sharing

Sounds like a Packers Fan ! Tore-lette
I ate too much sassige and now my turlets brokn
Literally had a candle holder sitting on top of the red cap 😂
ZaWa Annt that’s a over flow pipe
If this doesn’t work then check the flapper. There maybe a minimum and maximum setting that you have to adjust in order for it to stay up long enough to flush all the water out.
I had to go flush my toilet to see if the flush thing stays down and my doesn’t and it works perfectly. Is it only with certain toilets?
It works is all that matter to me
Why do some people say torlet ?
Hi there sir, that chlorine tablet in your tank is what's making your flapper wear out. It's not good to put those tablets in the tank. Best to get a nice deodorizer to hang inside the bowl.
You da best
Matthew Imgrund 👍😊
What's a Toorlet?
hey, no so long ago the toilet handle in my house bathroom broke, that one was working well, but then i changed it to another and it has the problem you were talking about when the handle comes right back up and doesnt fully flush. that one broke and right now im using a square push handle and its having the same problem. i made the change so it doesnt move alot and its still has the same problem i switched the flapper, and still had it
Are you sure you have the proper manufacturer handle on the toilet?
@@proclaimliberty2000 yes
Cant you juss fill it up with water wen there isnt enough😬??
My water in tank seems low like not full n not getting full flush chain seems ok tho
hey guys its paul
Thanks for ridding of my shit, man. Thanks.
I don't have a terlet; will this work on an American toilet?
How long after original flapper has been on should it be replaced
These flapper valves can last for years. You’ll know when it’s time to replace it when the toilet starts making noise. This noise is due to the fill valve turning on due to the water getting past the flapper valve.
I have a Mansfield toilet that doesn't have a chain. It is all plastic. I can't get everything to flush and the waterline is fine. Very frustrating. Could it be that some toilets need completely replaced or is it always a matter of replacing a part? Thank you.
I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the Mansfield as I have all Kohlers. Toilets are very simple and I'm sure it just needs to have a part replaced inside the water tank. You could take a video of the inside of the tank when you flush it and then take it to a home improvement center like The Home Depot or Lowe's and I'm sure they could help you figure it out.
That is such a great idea. I never thought of that. Thank you so much for responding and for your video. I really appreciate it.
d3blh01 You’re very welcome!
What about one that fully flushes ever other time??
It’s 4am...wtf. I want my sleep but my brother won’t let me jebdjdd
My problem was that the chain was knotted around the handle
I’m on vacation and this is my problem what do I do
I should have sawr this coming
There is no toilet flapper that fits my toilet. I have bought many different universal ones. Even bought one that had the same "part number" on Amazon and same issue. I think I just need a new toilet all together.
