A good chop is great. It stirs up the bottom and gets the fish feeding. Usually a good day on the beach when it's rough. A little tough to get baits out and stay dry but it's worth it.
Just discovered as a disabled vet, the state of Florida gives a free pass to parks, even if you are from out of state. Just got back to the KCMO area last week but ill be fishing in Florida again in a few short months.

We ate at Where Yat seafood last week. It was my favorite meal of the week. Never would have tried it if I hadnt seen it on your video. I fished the Navarre Pier twice. Saw 1 kingfish the 1st day and a few ladyfish the next. I didnt have any luck on the beach either. I wish I would have tried the Pensacola pier also.
This comment is for some viewers that have never had a fresh caught pompano. It has the most wonderful flavor. I would describe it as a nice white flesh with a hint of a scallop flavor. It's outstanding. I know this sounds crazy but cooked within a few minutes of catch there is almost a hint of a pistachio nut flavor to them. I would step over a filet mignon to get to a pompano! Keep up the great work, Brant. Love your channel.

From a local fisherman's point of view, what exactly is the difference between a pompano and a permit? I've googled it, and heard the description there, but I just I'm trying to figure out if they're related at all since they look so similar, or if there is a very distinct difference like say in flavor of the fish overall for instance. Or any differences that you know of that you could tell someone who probably wouldn't know what they caught or weren't totally sure of what they caught unless they talked to someone right then and there.
