Late 70's dad and 3 other guys got into sea trout under blues in the Delaware Bay, probably out of Lewes. Filled every cooler and fish box in about 3/4 hour. Blues were eating sea trout on the way up so usually ended up with half a fish. Dad tied on a big bass popping plug. Hit water and immediately knocked about 20 ft in air. No trebles left on it and the plug was crushed and full of holes.
A trick when catching Mahi is to keep one hooked in the water until someone else hooks one. Then bring the first hooked one in and the next person waits until the next one is hooked and so on. They are a schooling fish and are reluctant to leave one behind so you can keep the school around the boat when you always have one hooked and swimming under the boat. You probably already know that but I've found it's a great way to land a dozen real quick, especially when around a huge sargassum patch.
It's a good idea to have a little segment like this with your trips where you go through the store and select the items you intend to use. You know, how to fill up your tackle box with the EXACT lures, leaders, etc. that you use for a particular type of fish or trip.
Ever thought of placing your GoPro either in or under a sargassum mat? In addition to the larger pelagic species, there's often smaller creatures within the weeds themselves. Usually, to hide from larger predators.
YOU,MY FRIEND ARE A VERY LUCKY MAN,to have a very skilled Chef, and a beautiful one too I might add. What a lucky man you are, of course I also feel just as fortunate, my wife has had to tolerate me for 40 years, great country cook, and my best friend and loves to fish. What more could a man ask for. Thankyou my LORD,FOR THESE WONDERFUL WOMEN IN OUR LIVES!!!
Great video Brant! I cannot lie, when I saw your description, I thought it add how many recipes you had for you, but then I read some comments on Melanie and there was my ‘AHA’ moment. Lol. What a wicked day of catching for you and cooking for Melanie! Thank you both so much for sharing just a small part of your lives!
Catching up on your videos. You put out some good stuff. Living the coastal life I wish I could. Keep them coming man. We will be in Destin in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it.
Did some drift fishing about 4 miles off of West Palm Beach in about 100 feet of water just above a reef. It was rough that day. Caught a couple of cobia but we started having issues with bull sharks and couldn't get our catch in the boat because of the sharks. We even moved several times but couldn't lose the sharks but still had fun. When we left we came through Gulf Shores and wanted to stop at Beach Bum Outdoors but didn't know it was closed being Saturday.
I don't eat coleslaw but the bowl she made I would eat that and the pink sauce she made. That looked really good and tasty. All it needed is a good margarita to go with it.
Nice trip. Try leaving the filet attached at the tail, flip the filet opposite the fish and then take the skin off. It makes it easier when it's attached to the fish.
You are such a pro at fishing & your wife's culinary skills 🎩off to the chef this was my first time watching you and your wife this was amazing new subscriber🎉loved it❤
Man, I really enjoy watching your channel. I love your enthusiasm and your passion you have for this, makes me want to come down to pennscola and go fishing. Those tacos looked so good and that is such a good fish
Great video Brant what a great assortment of fish you and Brian had a great day on the water. Always good to see the bacon grease goddess doing her thing in the kitchen the tacos looked delicious
Great day fishing best I’ve seen you have in awhile your friend had a lot of fun also , and the cooking looks great Melanie is a great cook as we see , would be fun to see her catch some fish like that sometime !
If you've got a garden at home, save those pish parts and run them through a meat grinder (if you have one). You can then use that fish mush (try saying THAT 10 times fast) as fertilizer. No waste!
This videos was awesome! Also enjoy your beach fishing trips too. What is your “go to” fish for dinner? Also I wanted to ask how come you don’t do videos anymore with Ron? The fan mail stuff was fun as well as the fishing.
Brant my dude...I know you did charters for awhile, I know you had to have some guests get seasick. I never got seasick until this year, and I'm going crazy. What can I do to beat it dude?
Meclizine- it’s over the counter medication available at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Etc. There are also medicated patches for behind the ear (prescription needed). Hope this helps. Tom (retired Pharmacist)
@@AnglerUpTv True. My wife prefers meclizine over dramamine when we’re out fishing on a boat. It makes her feel less drowsy. It does depend on the person. Avoid alcohol either way.
Heck, yeah! That looks D-licious! And, bless your heart, Bacon Grease Goddess, for including the recipes. I'm gonna get (ask nicely) my wife to make these!!
Bryant do you need to adopt a grandpa. I’ve been wanting to move to Florida for ever but my wife absolutely refuses to move where y’all get more hurricanes than we do. But too catch fish like that I just might run away from home. Great video brother
I'm thinking back to when I first found your channel about 6 years ago. Dude the amount you have grown and built your brand to expand into the numerous other things you got now is pretty awesome. I started watching you when I was in a halfway house outside of Philly. I had the clothes on my back and that's it. Now almost 7 years later now I got 2 boats Sat I caught a unicorn brown trout and last year I landed solo a 52lb wahoo in a 16ft starcraft 22 miles off AC NJ. If watching videos like yours that push me to do more. Much gratitude from a recovering heroin addict to now fishing addict 😂
@@AnglerUpTv it's all on this side of the table. I showed my girl the old dating a fisherman video. She was dying. The Bama guy was the best. Roll tide 😂

What size test mono or braid?
Killer offshore trip
Wishing I had some of them tacos. Looked mighty tasty. Great video Brant, and you need to let the Bacon goddess cook more.
Sick shot with the pitch and amber jack bites.

Had a friend who buried in garden rows for years. Alternated rows for use.
So much action on this excursion, you can’t ask for much more!
I think i could eat that taco sauce like soup. Awesome day, Brant!
I always like pausing and guessing the catch.
Under that seaweed mat: Im gonna guess Dolphin and maybe Amberjack
Resume....

Dramamine works pretty well for most people, not everyone though
Meclizine- it’s over the counter medication available at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Etc. There are also medicated patches for behind the ear (prescription needed). Hope this helps.
Tom (retired Pharmacist)
That’s a tough one. Dramamine does work but it has side affects like extreme drowsiness.
@@AnglerUpTv True. My wife prefers meclizine over dramamine when we’re out fishing on a boat. It makes her feel less drowsy. It does depend on the person. Avoid alcohol either way.
@@AnglerUpTvActually the Dramamine (brand name) Less Drowsy formula- active ingredient Is Meclizine. Their original formula causes more drowsiness.
Heck, yeah! That looks D-licious! And, bless your heart, Bacon Grease Goddess, for including the recipes. I'm gonna get (ask nicely) my wife to make these!!
High quality video, thoroughly enjoyed this one, great job
Great stuff. Never know what'll come up in when you're that far offshore
Man everybody getting on that grass mat! First saw it on bama saltwater. Can’t blame you looks like a great opportunity!
Except the Charters, They will stear way clear of that grass.
Wow, this time my taste buds exploded imagining the flavors of the fish tacos. Not fair...!
Just subscribed! Love watching you catch all kinds of stuff! Wish I lived down there…
Wild footage of frenzy of amberjacks...good times !
I would like to hear about the tackle you are using?

Another great day of fishing the panhandle
You need to do more of these videos
Great video. Have you ever eaten a peacock bass? Looks like it has a good amount of meat.
Great video. What were you pitching at the grass? Looked like a feather.
