Great video Brant! What amazing content, that cuda on the rainbow and the air that other cuda got was pretty cool. Too bad about the sharks. Hey Melanie! Awesome cook on the mahi. Wish we could get some here in NS. I love how simplistic you made that dish look so delicious. Thanks for sharing!!!
Dexter is industry standard in commercial kitchens and processing plants. It is standard in my kitchen too. No need for high priced custom knives and silly gimmicks, there is not much better than Dexter, especially their carbon steel line.
Nice job! Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thumb up to the wife! I don’t video. But I fish and hunt nonstop and still have my wife after 38 years! Vince
Bayou Chico! I live on that bayou. I have left out of there fishing about a million times. Great place for a home base. My boats have road out many hurricanes.
Thank you for the awesome content. I have only fished between Palm Coast and Port Orange. Going to fresh water fish tomorrow, and Wednesday a lake Diaz, around the Deleon springs area. I have conferences I will catch something. Only been a sub for about 8 1/2 months. Moved here 4 years ago, and only caught turtles till just shy of a year ago. "Fish On" to you and everyone.
I really enjoy your videos. I'm sitting out here on DP near the Appomattox tlp, I fish out of panama city and know a spot with huge grouper but you will only pull up heads because of all the cudas there, and the cudas are always there. So frustrating, but still fun. I need to go by your new store.
Love all your videos man. Hated seeing all the shark losses for you in the target species. Still some good fish in the cooler though. And that mangrove was a tank. Keep it coming.
❤the off-shore fishing. Shame about the sharks a 'Cudas getting your AJ's. I'm going to try that recipe on some nice local Alaskan caught Sockeye fillets.
Great trip with a variety of fish. One my favorite type of fishing is ship wreaks! Just wondering how people in the comment section feel about eating barracuda. Some people love them, some hate them and some people think they are poisonous. What do you think?
The rod is a J&M custom rod with the blank shortened for big reef fish. Paired with a Shimano Saragosa 20000 reel. Spooled with 80lb. braid and 80lb fluorocarbon leader attached with an FG knot.
Thank you! I'm using a Penn 6000 Spinfisher paired with a Daiwa Harrier rod. 50lb. braid/50lb.fluro. for mangroves. It's AJ season here in La. This setup is probably not going to work for AJ's....@@bryanlandry1290
Take 10 to 20 plastic drums tied together and anchored off shore make false kelp bed you will catch yellow tail and mahi all day long on your own spot works great
I’ve caught more big speckled trout in Pensacola bay than anywhere else I’ve fished. Grandparents used to live in a neighborhood on the bay called Chanterene. Not far from Outcast B&T. Water was pretty much waist deep everywhere. The exception was these deeper potholes with grass on the bottom. Top Dog Mirrolure would get destroyed when casting across them.
Another great video! We got sharked really bad all snapper season. I can handle the cudas but it got ridiculous with the sharks. If you hooked a monster snapper, you weren't getting it to the boat.
Hey Brant, I'm from San Diego CA, and heading to Pensacola at the end of the month, in this video you were checking a site on line showing the current fish in season, could you please let me know what site that is. TIA, Alan.
One youtube lady says she hasn't caught any Mahi in a year so she says NOAA needs to ban people from keeping them. That's all NOAA needs is the lady to tell them that . They will ban recreational Maui fishing for years to come.
Unfortunately shark isn't a sustainable fish to eat. They take a long time to regenerate the population and as apex predators, they're more beneficial left to do their ecosystem thing. I've had thresher shark before and tbh, there's a list of other fish I'd eat first
The Food network used to have the Great Chefs series and the New Orleans episodes had really good seafood recipes. But they have gone down the drain. Its now just Bobby Fay and that's it.

N E Georgia Lady here. Love watching your channel.
Im always at work when you post your videos and it just gets me hype to go fish. Another great offshore vid Brant!
Love the early morning videos and seeing the sun at sunrise.
Dude I gotta say some of this footage is top quality man. You don't get many shots of a 30lb great barracuda skying like a wahoo 5 feet from the boat.
Epic Footage of the Cuda !!! ..one for the highlight reel for sure.

Sell much nerd
Better budget knife than the Danko? I've never tried the D.R. Thanks!
Great video, that barracuda was obviously happy to see you there!!! 😄
Love all your videos, Brant....
Mahi: One of the best tasting fish... especially grilled for tacos... lil fine cabbage with a garlic lime aioli... incredible.
Amazing content as always! Cudas can be frustrating but they can also make up for it by being so much fun to catch
That was FREAKING Awesome. Seeing that barracuda come out the water like that was great.
You make me hungry. Good video.
It's one of the better vids u have done in a while, love it keep up the good work 👍.

Agree on the Dexter knives. No frills but good, solid knives.
Nice job! Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thumb up to the wife! I don’t video. But I fish and hunt nonstop and still have my wife after 38 years! Vince
wow... best fishing video!
Man, Cudda jumped out of the water to get your fish, Great Viewing!
They make the best oyster knives I have been a shucker for over 20 years and I always have used them
Awesome video Brant great day of fishing although every time you caught a Amber jack I kept hearing the theme to Jaws the fish look delicious
Great video and i love the Fishing Capri Pants!
Nice action
Bayou Chico! I live on that bayou. I have left out of there fishing about a million times. Great place for a home base. My boats have road out many hurricanes.
Action, what a fun video. As always, I love this channel
With mahi I like teriyaki ginger sauce especially with those chicken mahi
Meu Deus que pesca top!!

Melanie, I know it’s difficult but keep him in line!👍
Love the video Brother
Great video!
3rd! Hope all is well, from Shelby, AL
You should try Himalayan salt. The purest salt you can find with no fillers or additives. Much better for your body. Great video. Thank you.

Brant had to get revenge on that Cuda😂
Love all your videos man. Hated seeing all the shark losses for you in the target species. Still some good fish in the cooler though. And that mangrove was a tank. Keep it coming.
That was a fire video. I felt bad about y'all getting robbed by all those sharks and 'cudas! Off shore is where it's at.
What app were u using to see the fishing seasons?
Fish rules app
@@AnglerUpTv wow great UA-cam content and a great guy but thx for the app
When I cut meat we used a lot of dexter Russell knives they are good knives
❤the off-shore fishing. Shame about the sharks a 'Cudas getting your AJ's. I'm going to try that recipe on some nice local Alaskan caught Sockeye fillets.
HI Melanie 👍🏼
Great trip with a variety of fish. One my favorite type of fishing is ship wreaks! Just wondering how people in the comment section feel about eating barracuda. Some people love them, some hate them and some people think they are poisonous. What do you think?
I wish it was like that when I fished the other day with the captain
It is so easy to fish. I never knew.
Had the same problem with sharks when we went out drift fishing. It gets frustrating.
Hey, just curious what your spinning rod/reel setup was for targeting AJ's? Thanks.
The rod is a J&M custom rod with the blank shortened for big reef fish. Paired with a Shimano Saragosa 20000 reel. Spooled with 80lb. braid and 80lb fluorocarbon leader attached with an FG knot.

20 years ago never heard of such a widespread problem with the sharks before... 🦈
Hey Brant, I'm from San Diego CA, and heading to Pensacola at the end of the month, in this video you were checking a site on line showing the current fish in season, could you please let me know what site that is. TIA, Alan.
It's called the Fish Rules App, great tool to have.
@@shawnholton8996 Thanks Shawn, Appreciate you.
Awesome Video like always... haven't seen you guys shot with Ron no more. Are you guys okay or did I miss something.
Bait fish off the bouy here in PNW same way
As a pike fisherman I could literally fish for barracuda all day
They do look sorta like a pike
Sandperch is good grouper bait
Dude, great content but can I ask for the AJ's and the Runner why didn't you free spool to let them run and take a little more time to bring them in?
A J got shark. Dang
One youtube lady says she hasn't caught any Mahi in a year so she says NOAA needs to ban people from keeping them. That's all NOAA needs is the lady to tell them that . They will ban recreational Maui fishing for years to come.
When I cut meat we used Dexter Russian knives a good bit a good tuff knife
Russell
get u a speedmaster n youll be crankin em up way faster
Brant, what is that web site you used in the beginning of this video to find out what fish is legal in Florida?
Fish rules app
@@AnglerUpTv Thank You
Thumbs up.
Just curious, when you catch one of those smaller Mahi, how much meat do they produce? Like would one of them make a full tray of tacos would you say?
Crazy cuda action!!
How far out do you have to go to catch mahi mahi?..
People need to start eating more sharks
Marinade for 3 day and slap it on that fire
Unfortunately shark isn't a sustainable fish to eat. They take a long time to regenerate the population and as apex predators, they're more beneficial left to do their ecosystem thing. I've had thresher shark before and tbh, there's a list of other fish I'd eat first
@Ksweetpea you can upset the ecosystem by having to many predators as well. There is a balance there I trap for predators myself
Question: are Barracudas good to eat..?
What if you start the engine and try to pull those away
anyone know what a small "buoy ball" is there for? TIA from this land lubber up north
Do you ever cook & eat barracuda?
Why sharks don’t eat AJ when we’re not fishing.
barra are fun
Little mahi are tasty
Doesn't the chum attract more shark
Nice. a $1,100 dollar supper.
25lb AJ is 8 pounds of worms lol. Got some in freezer but gotta get past the idea of worms
The Food network used to have the Great Chefs series and the New Orleans episodes had really good seafood recipes. But they have gone down the drain. Its now just Bobby Fay and that's it.
Save the Sharks 🦈
Too many of them. Even NOAA has come out recently and said yeah they aren’t going extinct
What app do you use bc I always ask myself is this legal to keep and what size?
Fish rules app
First
Bigger reel better pole
I don't know how you landed a hot wife like that 😂
What app is that?
Fish rules app
@@AnglerUpTv thanks brant
Sharks have been stupid this year.
When your AJ gets sharked it’s time for a shark catch kill cook.
😝 (they do NOT taste like swordfish.)
Bent rods look cool but not if the tax man gets you. Go bigger gear! 😁
