I think it looks really cool. I would buy this but unfortunately when I buy my new model 3 and when the time comes to sell it, I feel like it would look in bad shape if the frunk needed to be cut to install it. That goes the same with under glow, I want to install if but unfortunately I think you need to cut out a small chunk of the under guard and I don't want to have to do that. I only install items that can hide in trim or parts that fit in OEM.
@@CyberOwners have you tested that? the stock light is an emergency open button. in my mind it would make sense for this to stay on for some time. josh
@@njipods I have no tested inside but if you have the Frunk open it turns off after a few minutes. You’re probably right that it stays on if the Frunk is closed though.
@@CyberOwners I just videoed it. I put it in the frunk and locked the car. Went back 6 mins latter and it's still running. I'd assume it turns off eventually. I know it's only some LEDs but still additional power draw on the battery
these things should come stock. would instantly make it much more attractive
Nice touch! Will def add to my Y

Does the light stay on all the time when driving and such??
no, it turns off when the frunk closes and also after about 5 minutes when the frunk is open
