The channel is starting to take off again! Congratulations on that and thank you for these videos. You're a huge reason why I bought my kayak and left the bank for the most part. Best wishes!
I always like ur vids using traditional techniques, throwing all kinds of lures, casting all over the lake, putting in the time it takes to figure out the bass elusive behavior that changes every minute of the day and reaping in the rewards when it works..instead of pointing a spotlight and knowing Exactly where to cast every time..What @ STUD!! KVD...!
As a paddle kayaker with no graph seeing that kayak as "simple" is funny . Love the content as usual your the reason I got into this crazy sport. From one of your north of the boarder viewers.!
Lol you and me both
i had the same thought 😂
Yup, same here in Arkansas, US
You should try out a cheap Garmin 2D w/chirp. Best $100 I've ever spent. Well it was closer to $200 after getting a battery and mounting accessories but still.
@@poststalone1496 I have a Lawrence hook 5 . I have had so many issues and I seem to be spending so much time f-ing around with it it takes away from my fishing time . I don't fish enough to waste my time.
Glad to see you enjoying going fishing .
I know those past tournaments you when I were tuff.
Keep your head up and keep in doing what you’re doing.
PS : nice to see baby face Greg😂
"Hi, my name is Greg and I'm addicted to fish slime..."
This is healthy for sure. Focusing on tournaments can be fun but it can also warp the heck out of your perspective and you lose touch with the reasons you started fishing in the firstplace. Love the back to backtrips in one video.
Haha definitely addicted and agreed!
Right?! The whole pre fishing thing " oh man there's a ton of fish right here but I'm not gonna catch them today."
@@CoachDave12 I remember making several trips to a super windy Don Pedro instead of an on-fire Delta because we had a tournament coming up there. But yeah, same idea.
No coffee this a.m., but Mountain Dew before I take my 14 y/o Lab to the Vet for his monthly appointment. You sure managed to get a beautiful day on Berryessa - those submerged trees are my favorite spots to look for bass too!
Two days on the water - a definite treat! Nice to see the Big Fish eventually paid off on the second day (probably because there wasn't a net LOL)
Thanks for taking us out 😊
Which day use spot is this?
Loved that big one, that keeps you pumped for the next trip!
What you said about kvd is so true . When you can skip into those places that most anglers aren’t fishing your increase your chances greatly. The problem is dedicating all the time to learn to skip . Especially when you want to just fish .
wish i could find that orginal clip of him skipping docks with a popper. It was underhand casts, roll casts, skip casts you name it and every one was pin point
Yes, always enjoy watching Greg’s fishing video.Greg motivated me again, time for me to go fishing tomorrow.
Those trees screamed jig or dropshot on a real short leader. What a cool spot great fishing
Popper is my fav summer bite!
I’m getting real close to pulling the trigger on buying a Slayer Propel Max 10!
Greg thank you for sharing another great day of fishing on a couple of days on the lake! Greg you have an addiction that doesn’t need a cure for! Tight lines sir take care and God bless.
I'm right there with you . I don't tournament fish, but I love to fish and I probably fish two times a week at least . I bring a rod in my truck everyday incase I might throw in some random Place. unfortunately, I'm stuck to the bank right now, but hopefully that'll change. I love it. I don't know. It's like in the DNA
Great couple of days fishing, for you. Thanks for "Bringing us Along", and we wait (somewhat) patiently for the next time!
(Like you, those "Spook type" lures seem to hook me like 25% of the time, when I use'em!). Lol
See...? Ya CAN catch fish without all those "Fancy Electronics" on board (and I'm trying NOT to buy the Livescope for my Garmin, but it's hard Not to!). Haha!
If you're getting paid to fish...it's okay to be addicted to fishing. 🤣
For starters, in the beginning in those trees. I was screaming throw a jig, throw a jig! Lol
Same flip or skip something
Flip a creature bait, weightless senior…!!!!!!
Haha had the same thought and actually threw the jig for a little while up in those trees but no takers. Actually saw a bunch flee when that jig came near them. Think they were kinda spooky on this day
@@GregBlanchardFishing that’s tough when it’s like that 😫 especially when you see them everywhere🙏🏼🤙🏻
Another great video to go with my morning coffee.
It's hot here in Big Bear. I can't wait to get back home in SW Washington. Weird, but the forecast is even warmer there. 😮
Every sesh with you is nice man. Keep those heady beats flowing too. Thanks GB. Cheers
cheers!
Tug is a drug my friend and I can’t get enough.
I enjoyed this video. Sometimes it's cool doing this. Thanks as always for your video's man.
appreciate you tuning in, Scott! it was a fun couple sessions
New idea for Native kayaks, a built-in net, so Greg never forgets his. Native Titan-X 10.5 with the GB-1 mod.
Appreciate the content brother watching you smash em in kats in Texas got me in a kayak thank you
I don't know if anyone had ever noticed, but from all the videos I've seen, why does't Greg throw a texas rig?
i was thinking a ned rig would have gotten ‘em!
I find myself saying that in almost every video too... no idea why he doesn’t. Never seen him throw a simple ribbon tail worm tx rig...or plain creature soft plastic unless he’s punching.
This is the exact video I needed to see. Just ordered my slayer max 10!
hell yeah! enjoy!
Another banger, I've been fishing some spring fed lakes over the holiday and the underspin with that electric shad or AYU swimbait was my best friend. Cloudy days I put on a Colorado blade and the smallies were very receptive to it!
I’m 70 and enjoy my 16 ft. boat but the kayak looks fun. Great video.
Man i was born and raised in Cali (Vacaville/Fairifeld)and man I miss those mountains, beautiful State!
Watching you get that hook in your finger made me think about a couple weeks ago had one flop and set a hook in my Achilles heel!
Sir, is there a reason for driving with a PFD on? Sorry officer, I'm just excited to get back out on the boat, and fish. LMAO 🤣 Greg, you're a trip! 💯 🎣 🛶
hahaha, less time putting it back on = more time fishing LOL
Awesome video man 🔥🔥🎣🎣
I hope the dark horse crew busts your chops for the pics with the earrings back in the day 😂
hahaha if they do i totally deserve it!
Thanks for taking us along this year after all the rain there’s fish everywhere it’s been an interesting summer the only bass biting are small fish around 11 to 12 inches but yours always one cast away from a big one so it’s like treasure hunting you know eventually your gunna hit paydirt. I keep seeing fish coming up & breaking water chasing bait but I noticed everyone of them was that same small size. Bass are so aggressive even the little ones try & eat anything I was watching two bass about finger size in a lip lock one was trying to take food away from the other & the small bass I caught was jumping out of the water & had another one following it. But those little fish are everywhere.
Those triple treble hooks are no joke
Good time to watch while Beryl destroys the neighborhood lol. Lost another tree so far.
stay safe!!
@@GregBlanchardFishing thank you sir. Just got power back, so I’m recharging all my batteries to clean the yard.
Looks like fun.
There’s a hurricane outside rn. But I’m in bed watching your new vid!
good morning fellas!!!
Morning sir
4am notification crew up
Good morning ☕️
Thanks for sharing your two day fishing excursion - I am wondering if you hit those trees crack of dawn how would it be - maybe next time - catch you later🎣👊👍
The talk at 8:30 on how you were using the Krej was super amusing considering Berkley swore that it was completely different from the Jackall Riser 😂. Love seeing the trip in the slayer. I still like to hop in my old outback or a passport with nothing on it and hop around.
Glad you got a good one finally.I was thinking about a tournament you had down in Louisiana ?? where you slayed em on the senko skip casting up onto the cypress trees..maybe you tried that and didnt film it but seemed like the call especially the first morning with no wind and you spotting all those bass hugging the trunks
You need to be fishing deep. You will get more quality size bass there during summer months. Choose points and ledges. Throw deep cranks, 10in worms jigs, spoons, etc
If you had it I would have tried a dice bait or a little bug bait like a raid 2 way.
The one day I don't go to oak shore you show up bummer
When I saw the hook in his finger.....my biggest fear pulling the hooks out and hoping they don't freak out and those hooks go crazy 😮
Got to love a popper bite! But in hindsight, I really would have loved to see you through a 6-inch wacky rig senco under those trees I know it's not the sexiest way to catch fish but you probably would have caught at least a few more.. anyway thanks again for the vid tight lines
Next time you are there throw a Zoom speedcraw with a really light weight pegged just to give you a little weight to cast and reel it over the top of that grass and bushes and hang on.
Keeping it simple, with 6 rods rofl 😅. Love the content.
Finalllly I feel like every good one you get lately you lose at the boat
Hey Greg, I really like the Houston knot and I’m wondering how you tie your split shot?
Zoom Super Fluke might have been a great choice on those shallow fish.
Popping Swamp Lord in the spots you were throwing the popper on the first day. That way you don’t have to worry about getting hung.
Hey Greg, is that second picture of you back in College taken at May's Point? The first one with the houses in the background looks like it is at the parking lot thats down and to the right of the road, but that second one is throwing me off with that wooden railing in the background.
What is that black table your Native is on in the background? It’s the perfect truck height.
Have you tried skipping a swimjig for the fishes in the bushes? Or a fluke
Try a weightless skinny dipper swimbait might get it done
Hey Greg have you tried a soft jerkbait like a fluke in situations like that? I fish alot of super clear creeks this time of year and i do really well on them. On the plus side it would also be weedless around all that cover. 👊👍
I think you need to try out a fluke style bait in those shallow trees
I definitely would have been throwing either a texas rigged senko (black/w blue flakes) , or wacky rigged senko into those trees and bushes, I would also have thrown a whopper plopper around.
You mentioned in this video to be competitive in kayak bass tournaments you need a big kayak with all the big gun bells and whistles on it. I noticed you brought all that to yak-a-bass stop #5. How did you do?
Fishing obsession..... my wife killed that....😢
You need to sell Cheese Louise tee shirts. 😂😂😂
Greg is that May’s point NY in the background there on your throw back videos and pictures ? if so that’s where I cut my teeth as a bass fisherman too great video 2 part is awesome 😎
Fluke is the best just got some shallow bass the other day
👍
Notwithstanding your lack of mobility, finding a place where the winds hitting a shore/pocket, can produce a windfall of hookups.
Do those boots drain? Don’t they fill with water?
I bought the Slayer max 10 and love it, i do think however a slayer max 11 (Exactly 11’) would be perfect. I was torn trying to decide between the 10 and 12.5 and might would’ve went with a 12 as pushing it but the additional 6” on the 12.5 made it too much for me. The value of easy portability and quick load/unload is the main reason for kayak fishing for me. No way I’d be in a Titan 12.5 with two graphs and giant batteries...I’d rather have a boat at that point.
Water waves scares me sometimes, even the little one. 😂 how you overcome it?
Do you ever throw a choppo at Berryessa?
Do you have a 10foot yak? I’m looking into getting into my first pedal drive kayak. But I’m kind of scared of the water I will be limited too fish because I’ve heard good and bad on kayak fishing. Any advice or tips for someone looking to get there first?
So what’s the reason for only or mainly using berkley and abu Garcia? Like what’s the story behind that?
What's that you use to hold your camera on for recording?
✌️👍 Soldier than little ones sure are dangerous for your thumb right?? LOL lol.👍✌️
Greg-2 years ago you put out a video where you went to the “Disney World” of bass fishing. Any plan to return?
Good mornin everyone coffee is good and another great fishing video from Greg. Hey you caught some but more important you got to just kinda relax from the tournament grind. Thanks for taking us along bro.
Soooo do you just get your feet wet? Or do you have some sort of pants that don’t allow water to get in?
Need a bank fishing video
what lake was this?
I would have been flipping a texas rig around those bushes.
Do you think Cali Bass become night feeders in the hottest months?
Greg what knot you commonly use?
Palomar
One of your trips only bring big swimbaits. Force yourself to only use those baits all day to see if you can get a trophy fish.
Most Of The Big Ones Are On a Night Bite Now
Idk if you tried it but I said this at 6:25 try a popping frog on the tree fish
Have you ever tried lucky craft sammy
What lake?.
You caught them on popper I was right popping from would have worked
Frog
Where is he fishing?
going simple. you know ... 8 rods instead of 10. 😀
How have you been fishing in this heat tho lmaoooo
Throw the frog or flip the bushes
Swim jig
iii want too bee ninjaaa.
Senko
And btw this is what you call a shad spawn bite he showed up early that morning he would have seen them spawning
Vibe makana 100 is 20 pounds lighter 😉
Try a drop shot
🫡
