Finally, a mother that refused to lie for her son and/or destroying evidence. I suspect she was fed up with him, possibly even fearful of him. Some humans are simply bad seeds. Why was his sentence reduced? He is a straight up psychopath!

So glad this mother had the courage to turn this footage over instead of covering for her animal of a son. I can’t imagine how difficult of a position that is to be in, but I’m so glad she chose to do the right thing. We don’t see enough of this.

Agreed there’s no coming back from that. If he had these tendencies at 16yrs old, he must never be allowed free because he will definitely do it again. Plus it was said he was abused himself, which is sad, but they are more likely to commit the same atrocities done to them onto others 😮

I'm in no way blaming the grandparents for what that disgusting animal did but I don't even leave the doors unlocked even when I'm at home & I'm a full grown man without kids in the house, I don't know why people don't lock their doors. I know there's a lot of the older generation that never lock their doors, my grandparents on my mother's side never did either, but to me I just think why take the risk? It's always better to be safe than sorry, it doesn't take much extra effort to turn the key when you go in or out.

I once lived on a Civil War-era farm with a husband who apparently didn't know how to install locks. We had no keys for the doors and had to leave them open when we were away, but there were latches on the inside. we kept all but one door latched, and since we had little to steal, we just shrugged and hoped for the best. But we ALWAYS latched up tight at night, or when I was home alone with the children. I've just now realized how odd this really was. It was 45 years ago, but still...

Clearly, it's a problem of never having lived in a dangerous country, no one in their sound mind would leave the door open in any country from South America, I'm from Argentina, and we live in constant fear of being burglarized or attacked.

This is so scary. Knowing there are people that will just walk into your house and carry your sleeping baby off is terrifying. I applaud the perpetrator's mother though. I'm sure it has been hard for her to live with what her child did to another but she did the right thing by being the one to bring her son's actions to the attention of law enforcement. She didn't shy away or make excuses and she deserves credit for that.

I don’t know if you guys listen to Scottish podcasts, or if Isla Traquair is a big journalist there, but her pod “The Storyteller: Naked Villiany” season 3 is covering a cold case murder of Brenda Page, suspect is her ex husband, Kit. Harrison. Both well renowned forensic scientists, so it’s quite interesting to hear about the evidence. It was in the 70’s, but you’d assume he would know not to leave evidence at the crime scene.
Anyway, it’s the 1st murder case in Scotland EVER to be covered/recorded LIVE from inside the courtroom! The Scottish legal system & court room policies are very different from the US, so I really like hearing about
I know a verdict is coming any day now, so I thought I’d suggest a case for you since your videos are always stellar & this really is a groundbreaking event in Scottish legal history & were witness to it unfolding!

Tragic and sickening. People like Aaron are born psychopathic. Zero chance of him morphing into an actual human being. You can see in his eyes that he is empty of a soul. I will never understand why males lust after children. I am beyond sorry for Alesha’s mother and family. Not something anyone gets over, ever. I am also sorry for Aaron’s mother; she lost her child just in a different way.

You cant fix him, he isn't broken its how he is wired and he will remain a threat to the public until his last breath, reducing his sentence should be seen as the threat to the general public that it actually is.
He saw a sleeping child, the absoloutle purest sight and all he could think of was his compulsion to destroy it and he did so in such a horrific manner... even if released under strict rules / observations i dont think theres enough medication out there to satiate his urges and ensure the public is protected from a known predator. although, i dont know what will be available by the 2040's
Still, why is his liberty and right to freedom more important than his future potential victims right to life? I don't understand how we give such Lax sentence is situations such as this life should absoloutley mean life.
Prisons aren't even designed to rehabilitate common criminals let alone depraved humans with psychopathic tendencies, that man should absoloutley be caged until his last breath..
How gut wrenching for the mum to know your child is a killer, usually you see parents hiding or ignoring their gut insticts, especially if it will incriminate their own child but this woman took it straight to the police.
