Valhiem is a special game. I hope the development are proud of themselves. They deserve a lot more praise than what they got.
100% agree. They truly have created something special. Definitely one of, if not the, best Indie game of all-time for me.
There is nothing special about this game....
Is this on Xbox One?
I started playing Valheim like 8 days ago with some friends and I love it! Its like playing Minecraft for the first time but even more exciting (I can’t remember the first time I played Minecraft tho) This game is so chill and exciting at the same time😊
@@TheLebplthere’s nothing special about you.
The Troll Watching you build this: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
l love this! re: living above a butchers... historian here: they did indeed live above shop. :) I dived into church court records dating from the C17th in Herefordshire, there was a street called Butcher's Row in one town with a number of Butchers on it.. there were complaints from the neighbours as to the smell and it was definetly thought of as being poorer (that particular street, not being a butcher per se, necessarily) and looked down on somewhat. that particular butcher's row ended up being demolished when it became necessary to make larger streets through the town. I think people were quite glad for the excuse! But I love your town, and esp the vines inside the great hall - that's a lovely touch and one I'll be stealing! Thanks for the inspiration (yet again!) :)
Wow what a lovely little history lesson! Thank you so much for that! I feel much better about the design now lol 😂
@@smittysurvival You're so very welcome! And thank YOU for all the inspiration in building in Valheim!
Love the aesthetic and storytelling of this build, you keep upping yourself with each creation imo.
Future build idea: Pirate town - think crooked, cramped, chaotic, vertical, run-down. Thoughts?
Ooooh pirate town. I’ll have to write that idea down that would a fun one!
to je fakt dobry napad
Bro, this is absolutely amazing. You are exercising this game to its full creative potential, you should be proud of yourself. I can be picky with builds sometimes, and trust me when I say , this is a masterpiece. Everything was done right, to keep it short. Immersive, realistic, cozy, with a real small village feel, with beautiful well thought design. Consider this too, this reminded me of Riverwood from Skyrim, and then I realized it is actually what Riverwood should have been. How about that, You literally designed a better town than the first town you discover in one of the most major successful video games in the past couple decades. Cheers!
This by far is my favorite build you have done Smitty and I loved your pagoda. IRL I've always wanted to live in the woods but this right here will have to do, for now. The thought put in to this build was simple yet cozy and it washed a sense of happiness and warm feeling over my face. Your title says it all, "MOST BEAUTIFUL". Beautifully done Smitty, keep on keeping on cant wait for the next one!!!
Wow thank you so much! I grew up in an area with lots of lakes/forests so I’m always going to be biased towards building in this biome! So happy that you enjoyed this as much as you did and appreciate the support! :)
I love how your able to use the terrain to build this amazingly realisticly organic looking build.
I binged 6 of your videos right now.... and just love your talent and craftmansship. :3
Haha welcome to the channel! Really appreciate the support and glad you're enjoying the content!
I like the attention to details, to story, to variation, to center pieces and hideouts... The progression of creation in this chill enviroment.. I rly did like this video. Well done and thank you
This conrtruction gave me Flotsam vibes so much (first city you visit on The Witcher 2 surrounded by all this big trees without alterate nature itself)
I love it!
amazing ,as everything u do! i took a lot of ur ideas from ur videos and use it to build places and buildings when i play valheim with my GF and she love it ! thank you!
I absolutely adore this. It is exactly as you described. So cozy, quaint and absolutely gorgeous.
This video made me really happy. It brought back many memories of Skyrim, more precisely of Riverwood. The nostalgia it emanates was overwhelmingly charming and I thank you for that. Beautiful build as always!
Such a cozy beautiful town. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Sarah! Glad you liked it and appreciate the support!
Another spectacular build! You are a phenomenal builder, but beyond that you create stories through your builds and capture a 'feeling' that makes your builds art too. I think one of the things that makes your creations so special is that you essentially double-down on the Dev's commitment to creating a feeling with the various biomes and utilize that with judicious compliment/contrast. Well done sir!
Welp. I started with your undead swamp build and now I’m hooked. What you do in this game is nothing short of incredible.
Wow, you're an artist, I'm blown away! well done
Another masterpiece! So much inspiration here! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Homitu! Glad you enjoyed and appreciate the support!
Absolutely amazing.
Idk why but seeing you build this really gave me the Falkreath town vibes from Skyrim
I really love your building style! I built my house in Black Forest, in a similar manner to your structures; damn it’s just such a cozy vibe.
I also am a fan of your editing! Simple and to the point, well spoken, nice music, good visual. You’re checking all the boxes my friend 🤌🏼
Omg you did exactly what i had in mind in that exact moment with that tavern bridge over the village path, beautiful
Thanks for sharing your work again. Valheim is such a great fame
This is wonderful! I play Valheim since Release, as a Solo-Player, but I played Valheim, together with some others, like 2 Years ago, for some Time. All Germans like me and there was a crazy French Guy, which build Streets with Signs to every of or Houses, which were spread across the Island. And one Time, he showed me the Town he build, with a Castle. It was beyond crazy. And he had a lot of awesome Details, too. But this is even more amazing! It is perfect! Respect!
Why should none live above the Butcher Shop? In many Countries, People do this, even nowadays. They, and the People back then, in medieval Times, were not so sensitive, with such Things. 😁
This was so cool to watch. I love your creative edge
you dont understand the level of comfort i felt when you told me to get a drink and snack
What a beautiful village!
A water mill would be a wonderful addition, if there is water of course.
I am so happy your talk through videos are back! 🙏
The cinematic was top notch, as always!
You've made a cozy and beautiful forest village! Thank you for sharing this with us :)
Glad you liked it! Thank you for watching! :)
Stunning work here. Thank you for sharing this one.
Glad you liked it! Thank you for supporting!
I love seeing stuff like this, you are an amazing builder!
Thank you so much! Just fun to share my skill with those who appreciate it!
Wow, it looks perfect. I would be very nervous about a troll showing up!
I would give up tech and modern conveniences to live in a village that is full of good and wholesome people.
Right?! Just run off intro he woods and live a peaceful life… I can see it lol
THIS
damn..this gave me some teary good mmorpg vibes, i wish valheim would have some villages and towns like this ;(
Super awesome build. Thematically fitting too, as well as inspiring!
You're amazing. These builds are so beautiful and i have learned so much. Thanks you keep it up and merry christmas.
this is craaaazy good! makes me feel nostalgic and sentimental for a place i've never been!
Absolutely breathtaking!
Gorgeous and Really well-integrated! I think that's been the hardest thing for me to get the hang of - actually working with the environment rather than just flattening everything and having a very haphazard set up. I'm definitely going to check out that mod - I used plant everything for a while, but Things Happened so I'm a little skeptical of it now (though I know that's basically Versaugh's favorite mod).
Thank you! Yes I do my best to make my projects feel integrated into the land instead of bending the land to my projects. It’s a subtle difference but I think it adds to the authenticity of the build for sure. Definitely check out better creative! Such a great mod for creative building since it has all game assets i.e. plants, rocks, mobs, etc.
Love this, little village looks amazing and love the way you filmed it ☺️
It reminds me of Falkreath from Skyrim. Great build!
This! Yes this is how I'd love to be able to build and I want to live here. Beautiful build. Thank you for this.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Just absolutely incredible production quality on your videos. Great work!
Thank you so much! Lots of work go into these so really appreciate this comment 🙌🏻
My guy, how are you so creative, I always have these big visions in my head but then I end up with a freaking square. Every. Freaking. Time.
ive never heard of valheim until now and your build style here makes me think of skyrim and minecraft combined into one game! really considering getting this game now
Wonderful cozynest from my dreams, thank you ♥ So much love it. I feel... harmony..
this is giving so much skyrim vibes, on god

I've been enjoying the same kind of creativity base building in No Man's Sky... I just stumbled upon this vid and loving how everything looks and the creative abilities... 😮
Such a cosy and beautiful build

This is giving me a skyrim village/town vibe and I love it. It looks amazing
Your builds are really good man.
The gate on the tavern gives me such Riverwood vibes
I can’t wait to make my own little town like yours !
Glad I could inspire!
Absolutely amazing!. Well done.
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
That's fantastic! I want to live there!
Lol you’re welcome any time :)
please make more videos like this. build more towns/village/ etc. in different kind of environment and other areas as well.. i enjoy this a lot
Great work on the construction! I really appreciate the way you designed the burial chambers. Additionally, during the medieval era, people may have become accustomed to unpleasant smells and likely didn't pay much attention to them.
Thank you! Yes, someone in the comments provided a little history lesson about butcher shops back in the day, and how people would live above and smells were always an issue 😂
Like road noise today.
@@HallyVee That's funny. I live right next to a fire department, and it doesn't bother me anymore. I can sleep right through it.
@@Twinkies-nl2ie yeah bought my house next to a rail line cause trains either don't bother me or they're cool
good sense of lore, beautiful and inspiring builds!
Thanks! Always have to have a backstory behind a project. Glad you enjoyed!
Great disigns! 🏡 Shame they won't last long when the troll spawns in 💀
Very impressive! Loved it!
Outstanding
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
wow!!! so so beautiful.. well done
This has officially inspired my next D&D setting
This is beautiful, really nice good work, greetings from Argentina👏
looks awesome
Trailer worthy my friend.... well done
you're right they "might not make sense resource wise if you're playing survival" for most other players maybe, but I play fashion souls!
The town hall looks great, a little realism from medieval town development would have it as close to the town square as possible.
I love this a lot!!
amazing, man, gosh
that well looks really nice, I initially thought that it was supposed to be a bell before you said it was a bucket. A big bell in the "town center" makes a lot of sense
I like your creativity, i wanna build like this in survival
This is stunning!
Thank you!
it is indeed beautiful. I would like to live here irl. Impressive work. Well done. 👌
Amazing! Great video. I want More This!👌☺️💯
Thank you! More on the way! 🙌🏻
Amazing Build and Story... thanks for the inspiration..
Thank you! Happy I could inspire and thank you for supporting the channel 🙌🏻
Awesome builds, cool video! How do you make those spectator scenes while your character is in the frame?? They look great and cinematic!
good job, its a nice source of inspiration
Thank you! Glad I could help inspire!
This is utterly fantastic. 😲
Thank you!
i like the idea of adding in a wall thats guarded by a bunch of soldiers
fantastic build!
it reminds me of falkreath in skyrim, great job
You got talent my guy
Great stuff.
What an awesome build. There is one tip I feel like I can add though. I just noticed that the inn keeper is enclosed around the fire but I think it makes more sense for it to be near tables or chairs for the guests. A bartenders ass can only get so hot lol
nice build, nice story, great job :)
Dude this is freaking awesome. THIS is Valheim. SO hygge
Cozy factor 10/10. Creativity 10/10. Very nice build. I only miss some corewood for the forestfeel, since its BF. But thats my taste. Well done!
Thank you! I actually totally agree that more core-wood integration would’ve made more sense here. Will have to do another Forest village in the future that utilizes that style.
Such a beautiful town! I love it!
If only i didn't have a potato ... would love to do some really cool large builds.
I wish we had a Hoe radius in game for the really nice path detailing with regular path and grass etc even the size of the paths ... they are too huge by default.
Thank you Canorous! Hopefully as the game is continually optimized you’ll be able to build bigger and bigger! Totally agree that hoe radius would be a really helpful tool.
Dude, this makes me want to play Valheim for another 100 hours.
babe wake up new pastoral fantasy just dropped--
Beautiful build and a lovely story to go with it, as always 🙂 The well came out looking wonderful as the town centrepiece 👌are those the dvergr wood beams? They're so nice and chonky...
Thanks EriKant! I agree the well really works! It’s subtle but one of my favorite parts of the build. Nope not dvergr just some layered wood beams! Glad you liked it and appreciate the support as always :)
