As a game designer I have to say that this was really impressive, I love the meaning behind every composition choice and the small details of environmental storytelling you placed to give its own identity. Bravo
Thank you Diuler! This comment means a lot to me! I've always been fascinated with game design and environmental storytelling! Unfortunately I lack the technical skills to actually make my own games, so I'm reduced to creating projects utilizing in-game build engines provided for me 😂 Maybe someday I'll make my own game!
@@smittysurvival Well everyone has to start somewhere. With the stuff at your hands considering what a masterpiece you have accomplished, I really would love to see what you will do if you become a game developer.
Bro, I’m totally impressed with what you’ve done and can do. My daughter is interested in getting into game development, so I’ve always had my eye out for programs. And there are quite a few on HumBun (don’t know if I can say the name in here lol) But definitely check them out, they have a few Bundles for game development
I honestly think Iron Gate could do wonders for the game if they had people like Smitty come in and build stuff like this as a template. The houses and little keeps/docks you find are neat but this would be epic to raid in the vanilla game!
Right? You find this structure and instead of the hammer at the top you see an unique glow and realize that must be an unique weapon. Then you have to conquer the fortress and reach the top.. A few things like this sprinkled throughout the game would be awesome
That would be sick. Also would help the fact that updates roll in stupid slow for this game. Even just small filler updates that are just something like “added new structures to the mistlands” or even all the other biomes would honestly be great. I think meadows and Black Forest specifically could really benefit from added interesting structures like this.
This has to be the best mistlands build ever! I hope Iron Gate sees it and gives it the attention it deserves. You have such a talent for decorating without it feeling cluttered or chaotic beyond the normal clutter of a working space. Keeping the variety of colors to a minimum keeps it feeling serene and more like a true dwarven build and less like a 'disneyland'. I could never replicate this in a million years, so you'll just have to come and build something like it for me. :)
Thank you so much Jan! This project took a ton of time to plan capture and edit so to hear such a wonderful response to it is super gratifying :) I’m glad people are really feeling the dwarven vibes! Thank you for always supporting the channel 🙌🏻

Monstrous build! You made use of every part of that mountain without overdoing it and losing the mountain in the process, drowning it in marble. I love the HEIGHT you achieved in the structures without making it feel square and boxed. The cinematic was a pleasant surprise with the added NPCs as the world of Valheim feels all to empty sometimes, especially with larger constructions.
Thanks Martin! Yes it was totally a balance between building into the mountain without overdoing it with marble. I feel that dwarves would have a certain respect for the rock and I think that needs to come through for a dwarven build! Haha the NPCs were a fun addition though! I hope we get more friendly NPCs in the future!
I never comment on youtube videos but I had to for this. Your attention to detail, cinematography, music, and just overall care put into this build/video was incredible. It felt like a movie and was all around amazing to watch. Great work!
This is the most impressive, and artistic build I have seen. You incorporated nearly every architectural feature black marble allows. I love building Dwarven keeps and I spawn in a few Dvergers to keep it safe after I leave. I thought I had done a few epic ones but I was wrong. nothing compares to what you have done here. Out of the hundred or so of these I have seen you have my vote for the best fortress.
20:36 has to be the most stunning transition. From the crates to the small pools of water, the bridges and the smoke from the forges clouding the air. Amazing.
One of the best builds I have ever seen, and definitely the best ever using marble. The great stairway reminds me of the stairs leading to Cirith Ungol in LotRO, and the build certainly has Moria vibes, better than anything 'dwarven' yet. Adding the Dverger was a great idea. I wish they would give us vines in vanilla, they complete builds so much :(
Yes! LOTR is one of the biggest sources of inspiration I pull from. Particularly when building dwarven inspired builds, Moria is has to be at the top! Yeah the vines are a really nice addition. Hopefully they’ll be added in the future!
As someone who's also been trying my hand at making video showcases of some of my builds recently, I can really appreciate the time and effort you must have spent on this one. Not just on the build itself (it looks like you're probably a rather quick builder compared to me), but on the planning of the video, the setup of the in game camera and video captures, the final video editing + voice overs, and the awesome cinematic at the end with the spawned Dvergrs. Another phenomenal build, Smitty!

Thanks Jelly Jam! Skyrim definitely has a ton of influence on my building - how can it not?! Masterpiece of a game. Appreciate you supporting the channel and glad you enjoyed!
They really should add in 'POI's, points of interests' Some kind of instanced areas to each map location. Recruit SmittySurvival to do the area designs! Super impressive stuff.
amazing build, I'm planning on playing Valheim again in a few days and excited to see the new materials, the black blocks look really cool to build with :)
I love how the build revolves around the environment but im kinda struggling copying it to my mistlands biome on a special seed that has all the biomes on 1 island. I think I found a cute spot. But I think the best case scenario is I move the buildings in different spots
Well i think in Minecraft there is basically the same diskussion going. Of course you could put in highly developed builds into the world, but it can have the effect on players to be discouraged from building themselves. Basically if the first structure you find in the woods looks 10 times better than the one you could create right now, than why bother? My first ever base in the game was one of those barn or churchlike buildings, which i fixed up, later expanded and organically grew my base around it. If that thing would have already been perfect, i would have just moved my stuff in and be done. Though as centerpiece for a bossdungeon i could see a structure like this.

iron wall 2x2 and floor does wonders for hiding supports inside work. this a is super cool build
A glorious hall! Awesome, dude!
By the Beard, this is a piece of art!
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
So awesome!! A true inspiration! Just love how your mind works while building these.
holy moly, insane build. so cozy and cool
holy crap has the game become beautiful over the last few years!
It’s really great! Devs have make awesome additions!
Astounding. Simply incredible work.
What a beautiful build man, the verticality makes it stand out especially well, such Skyrim winterhold /dwarven feels 👌 I commented the first part before the furnishing, my god, what attention to detail, and the added npcs and i infinity hammer stuff makes it feel like it has been there for 1000s of years!
Thanks Jelly Jam! Skyrim definitely has a ton of influence on my building - how can it not?! Masterpiece of a game. Appreciate you supporting the channel and glad you enjoyed!
Stunning build :P The versatility is amazing
*verticality (my hands betrayed me and typed the wrong thing lol)
Haha thank you! Yeah I love the sense of verticality in this one! Really gives the bike a lot of presence.
This gives me total Skyrim vibes. Phenomenal build.
Wow! I wanna be like you when I grow up!
Thanks Kristi 😂
This honestly should be added to the game as a dwarven city.
I would love if Iron Gate incorporated stuff like this!
They really should add in 'POI's, points of interests'
Some kind of instanced areas to each map location. Recruit SmittySurvival to do the area designs! Super impressive stuff.
Thought it was an elder scrolls 6 trailer. Aesthetically so pleasing, not gaudy or over decorated, just inspired block placement. Fantastic work bro.
Looks incredible, well done!
amazing build, I'm planning on playing Valheim again in a few days and excited to see the new materials, the black blocks look really cool to build with :)
Thank you! GREAT time to hop back into Valheim! Lots of fun new things to discover and the new build pieces are great!
Hell yeah you should make this downloadable, beautiful
I will be working on this in the future! Have been a lot of requests!
I love how the build revolves around the environment but im kinda struggling copying it to my mistlands biome on a special seed that has all the biomes on 1 island. I think I found a cute spot. But I think the best case scenario is I move the buildings in different spots
Whoah, this is incredible!
Thank you! Glad you like it!
it look like some daughr donjons in Skyrim ! Love it 🤩
Great buddy dude!! Insane details.
Thanks Basic!
The developers of Valheim should invite you into their team for building structures like that. You are insane, mate
Totally agree! I'd love for Valheim to introduce a few epic megabuilds like this to explore and loot.
Would do it in a Heartbeat!
Hi, May I así
How do you récord this?
Do you use two PC's to record and the other for construction?
hello from czech republic. I must just say AMAZING !!!!!
Czech Republic?! So cool! Glad you liked it!
