All the comments: Real Nutella is terrible for you, it's like 90% sugar and fat!
Me: *slowly puts jar of Nutella and spoon away...*
Lol
Same
Are you sure bout that
I don't know what Ferrero put on their American market, but I heard that Nutella doesn't taste the same like in Italy and it seems it also tastes sweeter, at least to some friends of mine that tasted it. Overall I think this recepie is pretty good, I'm gonna try it out, but I think I'll be replacing half of the cocoa with dark chocholate (it'll make it thicker and easier to spread, plus chocholate is chocolate...)and I'll add just one spoon of oil, just to help emulsifing it all better, but there are hazelnut chocholate spreads in Italy (like Crema di Novi which I find the best) that contains 45% of hazelnuts (Italian Nutella only 13%), isn't that much sweet and tastes simply awesome!
You know you'll still die one day, don't you. Even if you never have nutella in your life. Don't forget to enjoy the ride a little. :)
Btw, it's crazy to know how easy it is to make all the foods we love at home, and it's healthier and cheaper.
Making it at home is so easy and with fresh ingredients 😊
@@hautecouture2228 well I grow my own hazelnuts. So that's not a problem
@F a Not really, given the quality of the ingredients. Nutella has 13% nuts, whereas your own healthy version 50%. You are comparing apples with oranges
@F a If you put 50% sugar in your own version, i think it will be definitely cheaper :)
@F a Maybe I did, but it depends on how exactly you value your time. For me it's more fulfilling making such alternative and healthy options compared to watching TV or series. And we are talking about a 5 min process here, not something complicated.
I made this, and it's amazing. Although, I recommend also grinding your salt with a mortar and pestle, so you get a super fine salt powder. My first try ended up occasionally "crunchy" from a LOT of undesolved salt crystals. Did not taste great either to suddenly have a burst of salty flavor. In my second try I also exchanged half the amount of coconut sugar with powder sugar.
She already said to powder the sugar in the grinder for a smoother consistency
Maybe even dissolving in a bit of water. Thanks for the tip!
@@amazingrace4u not water cause oil an water don't mix smoothly
grind the salt and sugar in fine powder
This is dangerously easy! ;)
Haha, yes it is! :) x

The nutella sold in stores is over 50% sugar. !__!
Plus trans fat and preservatives chemicals
This too in case you didnt understood.
It's 90% sugar
@@kassybaby1143 Yea it's fucking gross.
@@azizbelkharmoudi2564 no transfats or preservatives in nutella man. They would legally have to list it it at the label

Amazing recipe! Just tried it. Merci! 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Love this!! Thank you so much! Love your videos! Where did you get the kitchen towel?!
i just made it using raw organic coconut sugar and found it very very sweet. I ended up adding another few tablespoons of virgin coconut oil to reduce sweetness and make it mote creamy it was very thick.
Awesome recipe, definitely going to give it a try!
Just subbed - keep it up! :)
I love you videos and I LOVE that your videos are not fast paste!
I eat this with a spoon! Sooo yummy!

Hello again,
Just wanted to say that we enjoy your professional videos.
Besides from be crisp, clear and beautiful, both environment and presenter, the content is top notch.
Please include oven temperature for roasting nuts (hazelnuts or almonds )
I checked the full recipe but could not find the temperature.
Maybe you would consider doing a preparation for weeks supply of food ( for one person ) prepared at a weekend. I'm thinking keto.
Thank you again.
Also for the quick answer .
Can recommend Dom d’Agostino on keto and cancer research.

Omg omg omg I cant wait to try this!!!
So glad I found ur channel, ur content is amazing.
Thanks so much!
Thank you got sharing this recipe!🙏🏽👍🏽
Thanks for watching 😊
Very interesting recipe and it's definitely a healthy alternative over store bought chocolate spreads such as Nutella but the key of making a healthy chocolate spread is to make it sweet and enjoyable without adding too much calories, in this case a lot of unecessary calories come from coconut sugar and coconut oil. Adding stevia or one banana will definitely change the taste, but it will be much safer calorie-wise, yet there will be enough sweetness to balance the bitterness of cacao powder.
Ivan Talafuk what about adding dates to the mix for sweetness?
I made it and it was amazing!
Where did you get the hanging rack and pots for your herbs? I love that so much!
Hi, thanks for the amazing recipe.
One question, what food processor is that? Thank you 😊
Thank you for the video! I love the garden you have in the background. Could you please do a video tutorial for an indoor herb garden like yours?
Thank you! I recently moved so no longer have that particular setup, but I'm hoping to create a new one very soon. I'll definitely do a video about it once it's done! :)
How long will it stay good and should we store it in fridge or cupboard? Awesome recipe. Thanks so much.😁
Girl !! Love you !!
OMG is this delicious! Catching up with your amazing recipes.
Follow up: I've just made it, and it's so so yummy!!!
Looks really good. 😋
By the way whose taking your videos??so professional I love how you explain everything so easily ❤
Thanks so much! I take all the videos myself. :)
Hi Lisa! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe with us! Quick questions: how do we preserve the homemade Nutella? Is a glass/weck jar required? How long will the Nutella last?
This will last for about 1-2 weeks.
it will last 5 minutes.
Hi, this looks great,!!! Do you need to refrigerate it?
Hi Lisa, this looks amazing!! Quick question, I don't have a food processor, but I do have a vitamix. Sooo..can you make this with a vitamix?
Yum and no dairy!! Yay! Love it. I'm actually allergic to almond but not hazelnut! Took me ages2understand this in Ireland as if u have allergies here you have2go private ie pay 4 all tests. I thought it was so odd I could eat hazelnuts yet I reacted to almonds but you can b allergic to individual nuts and not others! Lovely vid! Thank u So Much! I love raw cacao powder as it's full of nutrients!
Interesting! Well I'm glad you're not allergic to hazelnuts so you can make this homemade nutella 😊Enjoy the recipe!
I just subbed! I love your channel!
Welcome to the Downshiftology community 😊
Why didn't you use your Vitamix for this recipe? I am very curious!
Thanks for the lovely recipe. Is there any substitute for coconut sugar, say jaggery powder or honey or some sort of syrup?
Amazing I love it thanks
Wooow, amaizing..can i use date or honey instead of coconut sugar?
Thank U dear, I made it and it was so delicious
Great 👍
Omg! Totally making this today!
Awesome - let me know how it turns out!
I tried it ! It's soo tasty
Thanks for recipe ❤
Glad you enjoyed this Nutella recipe!
I like your all videos!! ❤❤
Happy to hear that! Thanks Tessa! 😊
I love it!
Amazing healthier recipe, THX! :) May we use honey instead of the coconut sugar? (or is the taste better with the latter?) Lastly, what's the shelf-life please? THX!
I made this recipe using my fairly old Vitamix. I worried I would burn out the engine. Also the nuts didn't turn creamy like in your demonstration. So my question to you is, would you be able to make a video using the Vitamix? Is it possible I mean to safely do Nutella in a Vitamix? Or do I need a food processor to do this recipe? I love all your recipes and am so thankful you're make these recipes and tutorial videos. Thanks!
Awesome!!! Thank you so much.
Looks yummy especially with the Holidays fast approaching. I wondered what towel you used. I have such a hard time finding good quality towels that absorb water. Nothing is more displeasing when trying to dry dishes with a towel that does not absorb water. Maybe you could do a video on good quality towels/ washcloths etc and what types of tools/cleaning supplies you like to use. 🧽🧼🚰
Food processor - I’m slowly replacing my kitchen tools with many of the products you are using. Is there a reason you used the food processor rather than your vita blender? Is it a good idea to have both appliances?
Delicious! Homemade nutella is the best!
And it's so easy to make. :)
Thank you for sharing :) I’m definitely going to make a jar of this delicious looking chocolate hazelnut cream this week. How long until it expires?
This will last for about 2 weeks in the fridge 😊
my favorite recipe!
It's always delish!
Where can I get the beautiful pots and wall hangers for herbs? They look great as the Nutella, my kids love it.!
Thanks for all the inspirational , high quality videos 😊
Please let me know how many degrees for roasting almonds and hazelnuts
Thank you! The full recipe is linked in the description. :)
Got it! Thanks 😂
Nice video thank you!
How many days does it last?
Can I store it in the refrigerator?
Thank you! You can store it for 1-2 months in the refrigerator. :)
I love Nutella! Thanks for sharing. I notice you use beautiful white towels. How do you keep everything so White?
I have my stash of clean and dirty towels I use :) But definitely throw them in the washer once dirty!
Hi lovely, Love ur video. very net and clean way u make recipes. looking delicious nutella. One of u add vitamix powder, oil, coconut sugar and vanilla and what is u add in last.
The full recipe is linked in the video description. :)
I used my coffee grinder to make powder sugar. The sugar I used was organic sugar cane.
I added extra cacao to make it a dark chocolate version! Thanks for the recipe! It turned out great
Amazing! Glad this worked out 😊
Wonderful. Thank you
Enjoy the recipe :)
I gotta try this!
Hope you enjoy!
Do you have to add oil the hazelnuts looked pretty liquid/runny with out the need to add oil
You will need oil to keep the moist consistency
true otherwise it’d be nutella butter which isn’t a bad thing if you think about it...i’m wondering though, with this recipe does the oil separate and sit at the top?
Dwarfer230 If you don't want it runny, try cocoa butter or substitute half of the cocoa with dark chocholate. It should improve the consistency.
Dwarfer230 just add less oil
Great vid! Any alternatives to coconut oil? It's not so easy to find in my area..
Thanks Cristina! You could try it with avocado oil. :)
I tried and I can confirm it is delicious 😋. I will try to freeze a small part and see if it works. Otherwise it might be eaten to fast....
Glad you enjoyed this recipe!😊
Love this! Can you make this in the vitamix too? I do not have a food processor.
Yes, absolutely!
Hi, I would like to try this recipe :-) Is it possible to use walnuts?
Have you tried making it in the dry container? I watched your video on making almond butter in the dry container. Also, could you also use peanuts in the dry container? Thx!
Omg this is SO delicious!!! Taste even better than nutella! However next time I will see if I really need the sugar or try to lower the amount so it can be completely healthy!
You can always adjust the sugar amount to your liking. But I agree - homemade is so much better! 😊
You just earned yourself a new sub :)
hello, i want to add homemade almond milk to my smoothies. i don't use almond milk for anything else so my question is rather than make a qt or whatever of almond milk can i add the almonds and water to accomplish the same thing in my vitamix? or will the pulp affect? thank you!
😋Looks Delicious 😋
Thank you for this video!
My kids love Nutella so much and eat almost everyday. So I’ve been wondering how I can replace this with healthy one. One question is after you used the towel, how do you clean it back to white again. Looks like hard to get rid of the brown color on it.
Thank you in advance!
I just threw it in the washing machine. But you could use a darker color if you're worried about staining. :) Enjoy!
Works great sugar free too. I used erythritol instead of coconut sugar.
I just love this recipe. Have made this around 3 times now. It is so delicious that it doesn't last long :) Thanks for sharing this :)
My only problem is with removing the skins from Hazelnuts. Any thoughts on that? I tried the kitchen towel method but it just removes skin from half of them. Is there any harm if I use them directly without removing the skin?
Yay - so happy to hear that! And there's no problem if not all the skins are removed. It just makes for a smoother nutella....but definitely don't stress about it. :) x
@@Downshiftology Thank you.
Gorgeous as usual!!
Thanks Beth! :) x
What is "the oil"? And how much do we need of everything? And how hot should the oven be for roasting? I have questions 😃Looks great, would love to try but I'm a bit hesitant without a detailed recipe. Some almond cream recipe got my food processor's blades stuck the other day, I wanna make sure I do this right 😐 Btw would this also work in a blender?
