I rarely write comments-- but this was soo good! It even tastes better than actual Nutella. I didn't have any coconut sugar (because it's super expensive here) and I am fine with refined sugar so I added 1/8 cups of regular powdered sugar and 1/8 cups of brown sugar. I didn't use honey because the last time I did, it seized up and it was horrible. Really. Thank you for sharing this recipe! (You can achieve the silky texture of actual Nutella if you run the food processor for a little bit longer but it turns out too liquidy. That's the only con! Other than that, I suggest everyone giving this a try :) )
breakfast boi: today white sugar is gmo and made from gmo beets (cheaper than cane sugar), not from cane sugar. Brown sugar is white sugar with some of the molasses put back in. Today, at least in the USA, it needs to say cane sugar or non-gmo for it to be even the white sugar we used to know. But do you realize, when you say you are fine with white sugar, that white sugar is totally devoid of any nutrients and that it takes nutrients *out of* our bodies because of what the body must go through to pass it through our system? Thus all the diabetics it has created in the world - a sad and ever more terrible as it progresses conditions, strictly caused through eating white sugar - or maybe through being a terrible alcoholic for years upon years. Non- GMO white sugar has some uses, as in preserving or pickling, processes in which its chemistry changes to something beneficial to the body.
you can add in a teaspoon of sunflower (or soy) lethicin or any vegan emulsifier to thicken up the nutella. I tried it with that ingredient and the texture was amazing!
I did this and it got soooooo good! Only differences are that I used half normal powdered sugar and half dark brown blended sugar. Also I used a bit less hazelnut oil and put in a little bit of olive oil and butter (the butter made it REALLY good)
Hi Dani, Just made your “Nutella” recipe. It’s delicious! I’ve tried so many other recipes and they all disappointed. Your directions are perfect and I followed them exactly. I even got great results making powdered coconut sugar. I did use a little walnut oil because I couldn’t find hazelnut- it’s very nice. Thanks so much!
This recipe is just super delicious 😋😋😋. I have just made it and am really in love with it. I have used coconut sugar and coconut oil. This recipe will be a staple in my kitchen.
You are the first chief who made me realize that we can indulge ourself in tasty food but yet made with healthy ingredients. Iam super grateful to you.
thank you for teaching me that great video personally i love peanut butter but a few year ago i planted a hazel nut tree i think it be good to switch to hazel nut spread i do not mind it i had some before but am hanging out to try the grate home made kind thanks again
I just made this and seriously the best homemade nutella recipe, it´s not exactly alike but it has its own personal flavor that makes it absolutely delicious!!! Thanks for sharing!!
I am soooo happy to see suddenly this recipe come across. I always use to think the readymade Nutella tastes very good but the ingredients it contains are not healthy. I will definitely try this recipe.
Just blend 1 can of chickpeas, one garlic clove, some salt, a tablespoon or two(depending on how you like it) of Tahini, a tablespoon of lemon juice, some cumin, and some olive oil. That’s all! Pretty easy. The Tahini makes it thicker while the olive oil makes it lighter and more liquidy in consistency so add these two according to your preference
I made this recipe for the first time today. It was easy and simple except for the removal of the skins that was a workout and so time consuming I think next time I make it I'll do the roasting & remove the skin the days before. It was a hit my family all loved it so I will be making it again and again. I felt good knowing they were eating a healthy nutella :) Thank you for this recipe. I'm happy I found your channel. I also make the energy balls and they're a big hit too. Thanks again :)
I didn't have cocoa powder so I used dark chocolate compound instead and only used brown sugar (which i made into powder too). Not too sweet, nutty, and just creamy at the same time. I love it!
Made this with wild cob nuts (hazelnuts) which are a lot smaller but it was super-good! Not sure what powdered sugar is so I used icing sugar (U.K)? I also used coconut oil and it was great. Thanks for this clear, easy to follow video!
my mouth is watering 😍😍 I often make homemade nutella and it's sooooo much healthier than the store bought version (and it tastes even better). Unfortunately I'm always running out of it because it dosn't last long with my family around ahah 😂😂 love from Italy 😙😙
Can this be made with liquid stevia? I just made this today. It's "the bomb" and I can't wait to put it in a smoothie! I had to sub coconut oil for the hazelnut as I couldn't find it on grocery shelves. It turned out very rich so a little goes a long way. I put a teaspoon on some vanilla bean ice cream and it paired well. It didn't freeze over like the Magic Shell but it tasted great!
Super star recipe. I love all ur recipes.. I like the fact that I don't have to give up my sweet tooth for being healthy :) I have been way more junkier using any grocery store item in my food... now I got all your recipes to save me.. Thank you very much
Amazing!!! Thanks 😋 I did use blander, and yes it took me longer, but it was worth it! And I used just a coconat suger, I didn't make it powder, and it still good!
I have been making clean Nutella for a few years. I use organic maple syrup to sweeten it - I see no need to add extra oil, I add a little filtered water if it’s too thick. Great variation, though.
Hi Martinitime! Using maple syrup as a sweetener for my home-made Nutella is exactly what I plan to do, but can you tell me at which step do you add the maple syrup? Right at the start, poured on the whole hazelnuts, before activating the blades of the food processor? Or right after the hazelnuts have turned into butter? Also, do you use a food processor or a blender for that? Thanks!
Can you substitute raw honey for coconut sugar? If so, what would be the amount? Also, did you use dutch cocoa powder or natural unprocessed cocoa? Thanks!
In the u.s. hazelnuts were always known as filberts and much more inexpensive. I grew up eating Filbert's and they were very difficult to get out of the shell. You can make this recipe with any sort of nut that you like. Oh yes you can buy coconut sugar granulated at the store! I have purchased it at the store and at Amazon online. I have a 5 lb bag of it in my kitchen right now. Coconut sugar is also diabetic safe as it does not cause sugar spikes. Everybody's blood sugar Rises after eating something that does not mean that it is spiking. Coconut sugar dark maple syrup and brown rice syrup all rise on a curve as a piece of fruit would. I made this with peanuts as I have a glut of peanuts in the house right now and it tastes delicious! It is apple season in Maine right now so I am using fresh picked apples with this recipe. I also use it in my baked oatmeal. I took my assistant's children Apple picking so I have 40 lb of fresh picked apples here. It is also delicious on Dave's Killer Bread toasted. :-)
Hola! Thanx for all ur super yummi recipes! Could I switch the coconut sugar (very expensive here) for liquid Stevia? what would be the proportion pls?
Donna Schnaath I'm allergic to Stevia! People thought I was crazy at first. It's in so many things now, it can be hard to avoid. It is usually an easy swap out of a recipe though.
Dani, you've done it again!! I cannot wait to try this recipe and I'm sure it makes the chocolate zucchini muffins that much sweeter. Made the zucchini muffins the other night and they are absolutely delicious! :) :)
great video! can I please know if the substitutes listed below be used instead? instead of coconut sugar - monk fruit with a erythritol blend sweetener? tablespoon of coconut oil/hazelnut - olive oil instead?
I want to make it.. looks great.. One question: is it possible to replace the powdered coconut sugar with the white one or even take it out?? Its hard to find coconut sugar. Thank you for your help.
No, I dont think it will work, I tried it when I made peanut butter, the butter was soft and perfect but at the moment I added the honey the mixture turned gritty.

Not a shocker. Real Nutella is made from crap, like palm oil, preservatives and barely any hazelnuts.
breakfast boi: today white sugar is gmo and made from gmo beets (cheaper than cane sugar), not from cane sugar. Brown sugar is white sugar with some of the molasses put back in. Today, at least in the USA, it needs to say cane sugar or non-gmo for it to be even the white sugar we used to know.

Yummy idea!
you just need chickpeas, tahini (sesame oil i believe) lemon and garlic :)) from an actual arab, lol
Yessss!!
Just blend 1 can of chickpeas, one garlic clove, some salt, a tablespoon or two(depending on how you like it) of Tahini, a tablespoon of lemon juice, some cumin, and some olive oil. That’s all!
