    Quick note on the boiled eggs - keep the shell. If you don't it's recommended to eat them the same day. With the shell, they can last up to 7 days in the fridge!

      Boiled eggs with shell can be kept even outside of the fridge for a couple of weeks. In Germany it is common to keep them outside. They need to be fully cooked at around 10 minutes.

    Your carrot and celery tip ( cut in a jar) has made my kids into celery monsters. Ill bring out the jar and peanut butter or cream cheese and all the celery is gone. Before it would sit in a bag behind the fridge getting soft now i buy celery twice a week. You're a life changer.

    The key to eating healthy - in addition to meal prepping - is to accept that the first 2-5 days of eating clean is going to cause some major physical and emotional suffering (craving/resistance/sugar-withdrawal headaches/restlessness) but if you can tell yourself it's going to get worse before it gets better than you'll be aware of the oncoming pain and face it head on in order to to make that transition.

    • @JNYC-gb1pp
      @JNYC-gb1pp 4 роки тому +15

      @Coleen Nicolas Same here. Huge headache. First time I ever did a fast the the first day I felt sick. By 6pm I broke the fast and ate a huge bag of Skittles and then a pizza and some chips and on and on!! Though I've done it many times since and your body gets used to it. I find that now if I'm not able to eat I don't feel sick or headachy or angry - it just fades and I don't think about it.

In short, after watching your videos, my 13 year old daughter makes the perfect soft boiled eggs. We stopped buying Hummus from Costco. Your home made hummus tastes much better. We purchased the kitchen aid spiral, we now make zucchini noodles instead of pasta. We love your roasted veggies dish with the Brussel Sprouts, and Broccoli. Not to mention, I now eat broccoli. That is one of the veggies that I simply couldn’t eat all my life. We also dip baby carrots and celery sticks in your hummus dip. We pack our own lunch. You truly changed our lives. Best of all, I’M LOOSING WEIGHT. No wonder you are in shape. We can’t thank you enough.

      It’s true that you can lose weight without dieting by using natural herbal extracts, and here are the top 7 herbs that will help you do just that: Fennel seed, L-Carnitine, Gymnema Sylvestre, Konjac root, Green tea, Ginger root and Guggulsterone. The real purpose of losing weight with herbs like these isn’t to help you shed pounds as quickly as possible, but to ensure that any weight you do lose comes from your unhealthy fat stores instead of your healthy muscle tissue.

    Yes please more Meal Prep videos! Especially for beginners!
    I’m so over my head most the time when it comes to choosing making and even wanting to eat when it’s time. All the guidance helps. I’m taking it one step at a time. First step, organize and de clutter my fridge and cabinets. Maybe start on a minimal amount of prep today and just keep going. I’m often afraid that what I make will give me a headache or somehow not be satisfactory, so I have to learn to be easy on myself and eat things even if they’re not perfect. With practice makes perfection but I really need the consistency factor… Maybe I’ll get myself a new set of Tupperware for Christmas to inspire this to really work instead of stressing looking through things at every meal.
    Thank you again!!!

Going to try this, definitely, but will probably substitute the almond slivers with pumpkin seeds or something on top since there is already almond butter on the banana. Another great bfast option for the roasted veggies, with uncooked eggies, is to make an omelet with prepped veggies for the week.

    This is exactly what I do! Every week I prep quinoa, brow rice, sweet potatoes, corn pasta, lentils tomato sauce (some week I skip that and buy some pesto instead), roasted veggies, a bean salad of some sort (usually chick peas salad), boiled eggs, and I keep fresh fruit & veggies in the fridge as well. Then I mix and match what I feel like eating, sometimes adding fish or sauté shrimps. Once in a while I'll prep chicken breasts too. 10 mins and I always have a healthy and delicious meal!

    This content is exactly what I needed, my life for the last several years was go to the store, buy healthy food, bring it home, leave it in the little plastic bags and shove it in the refrigerator and then throw it away a week later, after barely touching some of the stuff.
    Now I bring home all of this beautiful organic produce, spend a couple hours of washing everything and putting everything in nice clear glass containers, and we are eating healthier than ever. Thank you thank you thank you! By the way, your homemade mayo is so good. ZodiacGuesser You could also do a lower “degree” of prepping. I personally don’t like reheated or cold food either, but what I do do is preparing the ingredients for what I want to make beforehand. For example, I’ll spice/fill a chicken breast and wrap it in aluminium foil, so i just need to toss it in the oven later. Or I’ll cut up potatoes and other veggies and put them in a container with spices and some oil and also just toss them in the oven when i want to have them.
      If you have time to cook from scratch every day, that’s great. But most people are too worn out and would otherwise just grab an unhealthy microwave meal or similar :(

    • @Pharmafairy
      @Pharmafairy 5 років тому +11

      ZodiacGuesser I believe your personal reasons against meal prepping are more of an exception. I didn’t mean to convince you to do it, I was just explaining why it can work for most other people.
      I do get your point about the frustration about “making food without eating it afterwards” that’s why I usually meal prep before or while making that days dinner haha. Your other points are valid reasons too ofc, I just don’t personally relate to them. Everyone should just do what works for them ofc :) it’s great that you found a way to do things for you, since it seems to be important for your lifestyle!

    This level of perfection in household chores is deeply depressing to normal people.

      Celisar1 I struggle with perfectionism depression too. For years I just didn’t even try anything since I knew I’d never be satisfied. Now I do small tasks. No way I could do a week’s worth of anything without hating it and myself. So I meal prep for 2-3 days at a time vs 7 days. Better than nothing. Then keep it up. That’s a possible goal.

      You don't have to be perfect to turn a new page in your life and want more. Some depression comes from not using your life. We are about to leave the shelter in place so videos like this will help us plan ahead. Boy she sure made that look simple.

      It's highly edited. There's no way that the kitchen isn't a mess when prepping all of this food. The scraps are not in the video and everything is clean for it to look "perfect". Though this video IS helpful, I actually prefer ones that are more realistic.

      I'm far from perfect but enjoy getting new ideas to use. Often I dont get round to many, but even one thing I use makes it worthwhile. Dont try and be like her, just use what you can

    I sometimes freeze rice in a muffin tin then trensfer to a bag when frozen. These rice " muffins" are portioned sized and easy to toss in my lunch bag or grab for my dinner when I have a long day and don't feel like cooking. I usually have some type of veggies and meat either prepped or left overs. I'm going to do the same with my next batch of quinoa...freeze a few " muffins"

      Alley Tanner I have the same problem with my husband. He is way pickier than our kids, but we did do the Whole30 last year. Since he is so picky and stubborn it severely limited what he could eat. I tried tons of new stuff and enjoyed it more than he did.
