When was the last time Penn St, Texas A&M, Missouri, Arizona, Ole Miss, Oklahoma St, Utah, and Oregon won a national championship??? Oregon never, Utah never, Missouri never, Arizona never, Ole Miss once (shared) ever (1960) Penn St once in the last 37yrs (1986), Texas A&M once in the last 84yrs (1939). Washington has one a total of two national championships (1960 and 1991) that’s it, Texas won a national championship in 2005, but besides that when did they win another one, 1963, 1969, and 1970. That’s it all time. Congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines on winning a national championship this year, but with that and the shared national title they won in 1997, the last time they won another national championship was in 1948, you heard that right 1948. From 1901-1948 Michigan won 10 national titles, 2 in the last 75yrs. This is coming from the winningest college football team of all time whose first season was 1879. Notre Dame has a total of 11 claimed and 11 unclaimed national championships. Notre Dame has a total of 22 claimed/unclaimed national championships since 1919. Finished #6 in 1990, made the CFP in 2018 & 2020, & would have went to the 2015 CFP if it weren’t for a Stanford FG with 0 seconds left at Stanford (that one still stings today🤦♂️). All that factored in with a team that has mostly been in the top 15 for the majority of the last 11 seasons, and does that not sound like a relevant team??????
I read ND doesnt care because they already dont play a Conferencer Chip game so they would play the same amount of games as every other team by the 2nd rd of the CFP
What ND cares most about is being in the hunt for an NC in football, having a great TV contract, and an outlet for their Olympic sports teams. If they can't get all three, they would consider joining a conference.
@GoatedAtNFS There are 12 teams. Even if we assume that All conference champions and runner ups are in, that still leaves room for a 3rd SEC or B1G plus ND. In all likelihood, not all conference runner ups will be in, so there will almost always be room #3 of both B1G and SEC plus ND (assuming ND is "good enough" i.e. 9-10 wins). Remember that ND brings fanbase. As much as the committee is supposed to be about selecting the best football teams, there are now few scenarios where ND will not be ranked in the final top 12 with 9-10 wins simply due to business reasons.
Notre Dame is still relevant because they command ratings, bring a lot of viewers to post season games, and fans who spend a lot of money at the venues they patronize. A study by TJ Atmore held in 2022 showed that, behind Ohio State, Notre Dame has the second largest fan base in the country.
@@taihalpern7342 Last year, Notre Dame was the 8th most watched team in College Football. Tennessee was not even in the top 10 (they were 12th). Do you realize that the Irish played in games like Navy in Ireland, which had 3.56 million viewer, or Ohio State, which had 9.98 million viewers, or even USC and Duke, which had over 6.4 million viewers each?
“High school teams”😄. I couldn’t have said it better. It’s not just Alabama though, every SEC team plays at least 1-2 FCS schools every year (almost always on the SEC home field) and 1-2 poor FBS teams like Buffalo or Akron. Notre Dame will play ANYONE ANYWHERE ANYTIME. It reflects on their schedule every season. Notre Dame commands respect.
Stop it Notre Dame is a Blue Chip University just like Michigan, Texas, Bama, OSU etc stop playin dumb, the only reason they dont win Chips is because of academics, its very hard for a lot of top athletets to get into ND because of grades, if ND was like any SEC school academically they would have been won a Natty already but ND should be in the BIG10
Wow! The utter stupidity of Smith and Finebaum. Finebaum secretly hopes Temple University rises from the ashes of college football trash heep. Notre Dame is about tradition, academics, love of country, a religious vigor, molding young men and women to take their place in our society. A football tradition dating back to the early 1900's. A total of 16 national championships, the most consensus all Americans, the most players drafted by the NFL and revolutionized the game of football by developing the forward pass. The Fighting Irish have made three trips to the college football playoffs, 2012, 2018 and 2020. Notre Dame last one a national championship in 1988, with near misses in 1989 and 1993, where many people feel Notre Dame was deserving of the National Championship each of those years. Relevant, very definitely, it's a person perspective that allows them to see or not see the reality of Notre Dame s mark on college football.
@@cunningstunt69 He never said they were elite. If you actually pay attention no one calls Notre Dame elite. Literally no one says Notre Dame is elite.
I feel like people base irrelevancy on just winning championships. If a team doesn't win one in a while, they immediately declare "irrelevant" while ignoring the other successes that they have had. Also why don't people talk about irrelevancy with schools who have never won a championship?
Everyone's talking about Oregon. Don't think they ever won it all. Everyone's talking about Missouri. They never won the natty. Notre Dame is consistently good every year and people care about them. In that case, I don't think Caitlin Clark is relevant. I don't see anyone talking about her when I'm out in public, or anywhere but the internet. Contrary to what ESPN says. It's all ridiculous. Go Irish
@bglassman08…let’s not forget the cold hard cash fact. The fact that ESPN can’t park their cameras all over ND stadium 4-5 times a year since the NBC contract and cash in. And when was that 1991?? Lots of money they’re not getting makes them bitter towards ND. Bank on that
Here’s the Truth… NOTRE DAME has always stayed Independent because THEY CAN! No other UNIVERSITY can at this point! That’s fact… that being said ND may end up in the Big 10 if the ACC falls and it just may!
This is staged for ratings, proving how relevant ND is. ND is in an amazing position in the entertainment business we call college football. And every ND fan is ecstatic with the new 12 team playoff that ND AD Jack Swarbrick helped create.
@mikem825…and I’m glad swarbrick and Jenkins are gone, almost as much as happy as I was to see big mouth Kelly pack his bags. I hope the new hierarchy isn’t so stubborn to join a conference. Preferably the big 20 seeing how USC is there now. I miss those yearly big 10 matchups and Penn St games. These ACC games (minus Clemson and FSU) does nothing to pump me up and does less for their midwestern brand and history. The time for a change just might be the spark they need to get going in the big winning direction
as much i like to banter ND there is no denying they are and always will be a blue blood of college football.....hitting a rough patch does not take away 100+ yrs of football....GO BLUE!
Why don't you tell the truth about Notre Dame? Both Notre Dame and Stanford demand some scholarship from their players. That's why Kelly left for LSU (Kelly did an excellent job at Notre Dame under those constraints). For Notre Dame to be a t Top 10 and Top 20 program where other schools put remedial students on the field (example Florida State under Bowden, not vicious gossip, but fact) is reason why Notre Dame football is still respected and relevant. Amazing how close they came to a national championship against other schools that put any player with tremendous athleticism on the field. Hopefully, they can continue to do this, and the law of averages will pan out for a championship season.
Y’all think Notre Dame cares about the extra game, they don’t. That’s why the agreed to it. ND is one of the biggest brands in football. Who else has actually won other than Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan… who else is actually relevant… give me a break. College Football = Money and guess who has a big bank? BINGO, NOTRE DAME!!!! Put some respect on their name! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
😂😂😂. I'm sorry sis, but ND isn't relevant for 36 years. They will never win championship unless they join the conference or get first round bye as long they independent. Haven't u noticed by now how they getting smoked by bowl games since then?😂
Stephen A Smith says "Win something". Well, I ask the same thing for the Dallas Cowboys or the New York Knicks. People were talking about the relevancy of Notre Dame during the off-season leading into the 2012 season where they went undefeated and made it to the National Championship (granted they lost). Still made it to the game when it was harder to do so. People love to hate Notre Dame 🤣
"Mad Dog" is correct whe he says major reason ND is popular is that they are the team of working-class Catholics. They have been for the last century. That popularity translates into eyes on the screen. Growing up in an Italian family ND football was a thing w/my dad, in our parish, in my parochial school etc. Some of these guys are oblivious to history I guess. 🤷♂
Notre Dame was always progressive about integration, unlike Alabama and the rest of the SEC. But, the team is not comprised of hard working Catholics. Stop.
You’re right about that. My grandmother (Italian immigrant with ZERO connection to the school) urged me to apply to ND- I had no intention of attending when I applied. She’d been watching ND her entire life without having a connection to the school. I got into my #1 choice, and ND, but ended up attending ND because they gave me scholarship. I think it’s a unique team in that there are so many fans who have no connection to the school. Name another team really like that… It’s hard to.
@@randallmadison9910College football was dominated by Eastern University's in teens. Wasps. Notre Dame had Italians, Jewish, catholics that were first generation americans. So when nobody wanted to take them seriously they were able to play in chicago to attract teams. When irish won then they still were not able to attract the powers until rockne said we will come to you. Then they had to play. New York, Philadelphia was places the average lower middle class people could see a italian guy from brooklyn play at yankee stadium vs a powerhouse and the small jesuit school from them farmlands of the midwest win. It only cost the subway fare to get there. Thats the subway alumni. Rockne took his wife to California to meet Pop Warner and the other 2 west coast coaches. His wife knew he wasnt on vacation but put up with it. She met the wife of USC coach and they hit it off. On way home she mentioned to him that the two of them should convince the 2 coaches to play a game in la one year and in South vend the next. That started in 28? Only a couple years during WW2 has the best intrasectional rivals not played. 85 years. In early 60s John Mckay became USC coach and threatened to stop the game that was played as boths last game. Playing in Midwest in late November was very hard at times for west cosst team. So ara parsighian? Agrred to play in LA last game and a oct game in South Bend. Still is only game that has only Ohio st vs mich. Or alabama vs auburn in intensity. Georgia vs Florida has been played in nuetral site which is taking away the fun. Oklahoma vs Nebraska and Oklahoma vs Texas has lost its luster. 12 team playoffs are stupid. Last year had 3 on beaten 4 1 loss and oregan at 8 with only lost to washington by less that td in both. 1 vs 8, 2vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. Thats it. Lose a game against the citedal going to Alabama, or any of those 1AA sacrafical lambs and make it a 16 team playoff. Tatings would be great.
@lmadison9910 '...But, the team is not comprised of hard working Catholics. Stop."... Being 'comprimised of working class Catholics' is not what I said, my next sentence clarified in terms of popularity it was the team of working-class Catholics. 🤷🏻♂
Notre dame is a top 5 brand in college football with the richest history and most global brand, with 10+ wins the last 6 out of 7 seasons. You’re asking why they’re relevant?
They will never have a first round bye until they join a conference. They belonged in the big 10 for decades. They choose not to join. They had an opportunity to join the ACC in the past few years. If they were smart they would ask to join the big 12 and be a dominant team in that conference.
richest history huh? still living in the 80s and 70s? win a championship. GO to a championship at that. penn state has the similar stats are always mid with 2-3 losses every year because they can never get over the hump, now both penn state and ND will get in by default of the 12 team playoff and get bounced everytime
@@PeachyAutumnwhy would you join a conference and become more regional? ND is a global brand. Played in a sold out stadium in Ireland less than 6 months ago…
im not a notre dame fan but they play teams coast to coast, zero FCS Schools. Not many schools hold a national influence because college football is still a regional sport
I don't watch ESPN but I watched this clip. Why?? Because of Notre Dame 🤣🤣🤣 For those who know Notre Dame no explanation is necessary; for those who don't, no explanation will suffice
In all of CFB history. No way is ND overrated. Early 90s and before ND was a force to be reckoned with. Only a small part of CFB history have they not won a natty. CFB goes back to the 1800s my dude
What championship is first take supposed to win? You want sports show to get an Emmy or something? They have amongst the highest ratings for sports shows
The truth is these are the brands that sell. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame,Oklahoma,Ohio State,Penn State ,and USC All those schools will be the most watched games when they field top teams. For example When Nebraska , Notre Dame ,and USC field great teams, the rating are very similar to Ohio State , Michigan , and Alabama. Ask yourself this question, was Alabama drawing rating in the early 2000's ? Michigan under Hoke and Rodriguez ?
Colorado was only up because of Deon. When Deon leaves no one will watch. Oregon doesn't have the following either of the schools I mention. @@heartbreak25
I dont mind Notre Dame. Theyre usually good, but theyre prolly not ever gonna be the best again in my lifetime. But still they are willing to play ANY BODY, which is awesome. Getting a shot at the Fighting Irish is fun to watch. They do mainly play east coast teams. But they also have a history of coming to the SEC and playing those teams on their turf when everyone else was scared to challenge them
People ignore that though, and claim they play the service academies each week (Though those games are mostly out of respect and gratitude to those academies that helped ND in the past). They've had home and homes with georgia and ohio state, have bama in the future i believe
Michigan fans claimed irish stopped playing . It was holtz in his first year that called out them. Navy, purdue, usc and Mich. St have played irish twice as much as wolverines. The games were first games or 2nd on schedule and had 6 7 years of nailbiters with games won by less that a Td. Renewed miami series with them being the only Irish team that just gave up. Jimmy Johnson should his class by throwing the ball with 8 minutes in game up 44 to 7. 88 irish got lucky cause of Miami being cocky. Next year miami beat irish 27-10 in last game. Both won bowl games and miami won Title cause head to head matchup. 2 years later irish beat FSU and then lose to BC next week and both win bowls but FSU wins title, so losing a game late is not good? Look at the guys holtzs had from 87 to 93. 10 nfl backs. Dorsey levens was a 4th string guy. Rocket, Rickey Watters, some guy bettis. Brooks brothers. Zellars, Anthony Johnson, rodney culver. Plus 4 guys in secondary that were pro bowlers. At 8 in 1970 in learned that sports is about coaching and teamwork. Guys have a system and create the same team iver and over. Lose 3 guys on offense next year they slready had a guy in line to replace that position. Football, baseball, basketball it the coaches that created their system that they learned from playing for abmnd coaching for.
They’re so irrelevant that Stephen A is talking about them in FEBRUARY! The only reason they brought this up is because ND sells. It’s ironic that they would call them irrelevant yet still cover them in February.
Fair or not Notre Dame has the same mystique as The Lakers , Cowboys, Yankees, & Duke basketball…that’s why ESPN gives them relevance…& by the way I am a USC football fan, so you know I HATE Notre Dame 🖖🏾
This is weird. Notre Dame knew this a while ago. No one is crying and it’s completely fair. They don’t want to join a conference because they want their own autonomy. If it makes you feel better, their playoff road will be more difficult…they’re relevant because they’re the cultural Catholic football team. (I know-the elitism of ND demanding their athletes attend class can be a bit sanctimonious too). The SEC players get paid the most/get the most gifts, so they’re the best conference. It’s pretty simple. Just because other schools aren’t relevant to you doesn’t make them irrelevant.
Stephen A Smith is angry that another black man, CMF, doesn’t comport himself like a loudmouth like he and Deion sanders does. But hey, whatever works for their respective fan bases
Lot of those teams are only popular in the States. ND is an international brand. How many college football teams can boast that especially for the length of time ND has been.
HATERS! Why join a conference if y’all keep inviting ND to the Party! It doesn’t matter they still can get a home game which is WAY more important for the $ and practice/warm up rather than getting a buy.
They’re relevant because of the history and heritage at Notre Dame!!! It’s the same reason Steven A consistently brings up the knicks it’s because of their history!!
People keep acting like Notre Dame still has a massive fan base that drives huge viewership numbers yet never cite a single number to credit that. This isn’t the 80s, in 2023 Notre Dame was the 10th most watched team behind teams like Tennessee and just barely above Washington.
Duh, check the ratings of the games this year. ND is doing just fine....and NO they weren't behind the lackluster Vols and out of a decent time zone Huskies. You know not what you speak.
@@Roadrunner0077 Being independent has nothing to do with it, they had games against Clemson, USC, and Ohio State, all major fan base programs who would bring Notre Dame more eyes than a typical ACC or Big 12 conference would. Notre Dame’s “game of the decade” against Ohio State was beat in viewership by the Oregon Colorado game that preceded it. Notre Dame’s game against USC in the “greatest rivalry in college football” was topped by Oregon and Washington in the earlier time slot. Notre Dame’s game against Clemson was the least viewed ND Clemson matchup in a decade. Notre Dame is irrelevant
The reason Notre Dame gets mentioned so much is cause of the brand they possess….same thing as Texas, they haven’t won a title since 2005 yet there is always the “Texas is back” quote thrown around…..that’s just what happens when you have a BIG brand and Notre Dame has that, Notre Dame brings viewers to the TVs whether you wanna admit it or not
Paul finebaum such a hater in Notre Dame. He tried to get in the school but he couldn't. And he's hated them ever since. We don't care what he thinks and we don't care what anyone else thinks we like the way The new playoffs is we're happy with that. We want to be independent. And we want to be in the playoffs. We got both those things. And millions of people plan their Saturdays around Notre Dame. Millions. More than Georgia More than Alabama and more than USC. Ohio State might rival Notre Dame. But I doubt it.
Notre Dame will never have a first round bye until they join a conference. They belonged in the big 10 for decades. They choose not to join. They had an opportunity to join the ACC in the past few years. They choose not to join. If they were smart they would ask to join the big 12 and be a dominant team in that conference.
notre dame has zero reason to join the big 12. the pollsters will still vote them in with a good season. and they dont have to split any revenue with conf members from their tv contracts.
Michigan and their anti Catholicism bigoted selves boycotted the big 10 from allowing ND to join and petitioned for all other teams in the Big 10 to not join them
Why are they still relevant? Texas video, less than 2k views. ND video, 23k views. I only see one video with more and that’s for a video game people have been waiting a decade for lol.
If there is one guy that I go to for Notre Dame football news it's Paul Finebaum........ Nah. I wonder who Paul spoke to about this other than the shows producers?

Just because ESPN says that ND is irrelevant the world and College Football says differently. YALL are talking about them now and not some really irrelevant team. I guess if ESPN doesn’t hold your TV rights then you’re irrelevant. Got it. 🤦🏽♂️
@nd4life…yep, never gotten over that kick to the crotch of their pocketbook. That’s also why when they have them on their coverage I DVR the game so I can time it with the SIRIUS XM radio team so I don’t have to listen to their anti-ND garbage all game.
their fault for not joining a conference, they play week 0 every year it’s their fault for choosing to keep the money to themselves but have to be in a conference in every other sport, and they suck in basketball this year btw
Uhh.. We've made the playoff twice (not many teams can say so). We have been consistently good. Since 2016, we've not had a season with less than 9 wins. That's a while. We have always done very well in recruiting. We're likely to soon often make the playoff most years with its 12 team format. We have 11 nattys. We always play good against good teams. We make millions off of NBC and our big TV deal. People care about us. You clearly do as you're bringing us up. If ESPN thought Notre Dame wasn't relevant, why would they occasionally broadcast our away games for MILLIONS to watch?!! You're just hating. Enough is enough. Notre Dame is relevant. So relevant to the point that the future of the ACC kinda relies if they want to join as a full member, or go to the Big 10, or maybe SEC, as they probably won't be independent much longer. And if Notre Dame wasn't relevant, why would the SEC AND Big 10 want them? ESPN has become a joke. Thanks for the stupidity. This 'take' is absolute gobbledygook! Stephen A has no idea what he's talking about. He's wanting to tell people what they want to hear. Not what they need to hear. Enough with the unreasonable Notre Dame hate! GO IRISH!!!!
Stephen A. acts like Notre Dame hasn't averaged double diget wins a year since 2017. 🙄 Irrelevant teams are teams averaging 6-7 wins a year, not 10+ wins a year. And Stephen, stop putting words in fanbases mouths. Nobody around South Bend has been acting like Notre Dame won a Natty recently. Just stop embarrassing yourself.
They would invite Finebaum, a known ND hater, onto this segment. And yes, we haven't won a title in 36 years. Doesn't hurt our relevance, though. We will be relevant forever.
@@tycesumerall8718 Was that before or after they started cheating? Or did you forget the part where their coach was suspended twice, barely got by Alabama, and was caught stealing signs?
@@tycesumerall8718 I did not change the subject. I am asking seriously, did Michigan start winning the Big 10 before or after they were supposed to have started cheating? Because that cheating for me, tarnished it National champion.
The difference between Notre Dame and everyone else is. We don't care what anybody thinks about us. We don't care what other teams are doing. We don't care what ESPN thinks. But you guys sure care about us. Can't stop talking about us. Can't stop saying Notre Dame hasn't done this Notre Dame hasn't done that. Why is Notre Dame on TV. Why is Notre Dame not in the conference. Cuz we don't have to. We don't think we're better than everyone else. But we are bigger. Global baby. No one has more fans. Ohio State might be close. But they're not as global as Notre Dame. So sorry about your guys's luck Go Irish.
So funny Stephan A. Why are you on tv ? Probably because you get ratings. 2 of the top 10 rated games last year involved Notre Dame. The networks rush to get them on prime time. You say they’re relevant, so what they are not just because you’re talking about them stupid. They get ratings. They are a good solid team usually in the top 10 and getting better so suck it up, you’re just jealous of a team that graduates their players and plays at a high-level and has the greatest history of all of college football. You can’t deny those facts.
There IS NO CONTROVERSY....ND and its fans arent even complaining or saying a word. They UNDERSTOOD not having a bye week since thet dont play a conference championship. The only people whining are YOU guys and people creating a controversy out of nothing.
Just because u scream and are loud doesn't make u right. I get it u hate Notre Dame. Notre Dame is more than Football. Notre Dame has been hated every February in the "Off season". They all three mentioned Notre Dame is more than Football, mentioned winning record, mentioned a huge fan base, ratings, and deals. Seems to me they answered their rhetoric question. Maybe they could be journalists one day and dig into the facts because they already know the relevancy of Notre Dame in February.
why is stephen a relevant,...this guy never played basketball on a high level but somehow hes weaseled his way on national tv,talking abt a sport he has no credibility in..an hes the Face?? face of what?? suckers who can call out professionals an his only defense is :i did something right cuz im sitting up here with yall..notice he always bring up other losers like Micheal wilbon and other nonw professionals like they have great credibility its like...give his position to Shannon already..stephen A is clearly expendible at this point
I’m confused I haven’t a seen a single notre dame fan complaining. So don’t drive that narrative. We all know espn is just made cause nd won’t toe the line. Edit: I was going to stay Steven a they have all black coaches you should love them! Second edit: run the rating for over that 25-30 years. You are doing a whole segment on notre dame enough said
ND is relevant because they are a global brand who has more wins in the past 7 years than all but 6 teams in the nation…and they do it right by respecting STUDENT-ATHLETICS. You don’t have to win the Natty to be relevant gentlemen.
Talking about how the 5 + 7 model makes it easier for Oregon State and Washington State to get in the 12 team playoff 🤣🤣🤣 In the 6 + 6 they had a 50/50 chance. All they had to do was win the 2 team conference. So, how does taking that away and adding an at large bid where they have to compete with more than 1 other team make it easier to get in?
The fact these 3 stooges are talking about Notre Dame makes them relevant. This new playoff format is only slightly different than the 6+6 format that was initially proposed years ago. There's a reason ND has its own TV network and these clowns can't stand it.
The fact they care about conference teams that never do anything but they want to tslk about them like they matter. Name a non big name school that has won a championship in the last 10 years. Notre dame doesn't play any fcs schools. Meanwhile Alabama has 4 meaningless games a year. We make the playoff as frequently as any other college team thats not one of the 5 main ones every year. Why should any team not in the sec be relevant?
Mad dog right first round of playoffs during Christmas break would be dead students really go home few days before breaks start lol I go to East Carolina I feel like we have a chance to win American this year and make the playoffs that’s a stretch but what ever and no fans in dowdy would be dead and that stadium gets loud

Ok but what have they won? They aren’t good they’ll lose another 3 or 4 games this season because they are mid

And Michigan literally played one good ranked team last year. Psu was a okay ranked team not elite.
“High school teams”😄. I couldn’t have said it better.
These ACC games (minus Clemson and FSU) does nothing to pump me up and does less for their midwestern brand and history. as much i like to banter ND there is no denying they are and always will be a blue blood of college football.....hitting a rough patch does not take away 100+ yrs of football....GO BLUE!
I’m conflicted. I want to 👍 but “go blue”…
Still made it to the game when it was harder to do so. People love to hate Notre Dame 🤣
Relevant enough to merit 10 minutes of Stephen A Smith's hyperventilation schtick in an off-season A Block segment, I guess.

Only a couple years during WW2 has the best intrasectional rivals not played. 85 years. In early 60s John Mckay became USC coach and threatened to stop the game that was played as boths last game. They will never have a first round bye until they join a conference. They belonged in the big 10 for decades. They choose not to join. They had an opportunity to join the ACC in the past few years. If they were smart they would ask to join the big 12 and be a dominant team in that conference.

Michigan fans claimed irish stopped playing . It was holtz in his first year that called out them. Navy, purdue, usc and Mich. St have played irish twice as much as wolverines.

The fact that you have to ask why are they relevant make them exactly that!!!!

Because Notre Dame is a Catholic school in a Catholic nation. This isint hard to understand
You are doing a whole segment on notre dame enough said
ND has viewers, Stephen A, That is why you talk about them on your show. That is why they are relevant to you.
ND is relevant because they are a global brand who has more wins in the past 7 years than all but 6 teams in the nation…and they do it right by respecting STUDENT-ATHLETICS. You don’t have to win the Natty to be relevant gentlemen.
Talking about how the 5 + 7 model makes it easier for Oregon State and Washington State to get in the 12 team playoff 🤣🤣🤣
In the 6 + 6 they had a 50/50 chance.
Stephen a smith is a clown. Bro what have the Knicks done? The Knicks haven’t won a finals since 1973 and he wants to talk about one the most consistent football schools of the last 5 years while the Knicks just got good last year: 🤡 the 3 stooges out today
Osu or UGA didn’t kill notre dame😂😂😂🤡🤡. These dudes do not watch notre dame football. Last two matchup vs osu were close. Last two match up vs uga were close games
Can Stephen A pls stop talking college football. We all know finebaum is a clown but it actually hurts my ears when Stephen A tries to talk College football
They are relevant the same way the cowboys are relevant. They bring ratings a huge fanbase and normally pretty good team
Steven A. Stop talking College Football 🏈… you don’t know it at all!!! Paul F only knows the SEC and who is the other guy? lol FACTS
ND is as relevant as the Dallas Cowboys but every show talks about them almost every time the NFL is discussed. This topic is stupid.
Since NBC now has a deal with the Big Ten why don’t they recommend ND to join 😊
Cuz they're not Notre Dame's daddy. Nobody tells Notre Dame what to do.
@@michaelmorris6406 everybody is NDs daddy....1988 lol i was born
@@301gobluehailmich1 let's think about that. We have our own TV deal. We get to go to the playoffs. Get to stay independent. Any conference will take us anytime we want to go. Everybody talks about us bad or good. ESPN and all the other news outlets make tons of money off Notre Dame. Everybody wants to play us. No I think where college football's Daddy.😂🍀😂🍀😂💪💪💪💪💪
So in 2020 when Georgia had not won a championship in 40 years they must not have been relevant either
