Paul’s right … only thing that really matters is beating Michigan
The Georgia game didn’t matter I guess.
@@evansiegel9261 no because they didn’t win and Georgia is not their rival
Yea the college football semifinal didn’t matter. Makes sense.
I’ll be looking for you when Ohio state is in the national championship game. I’ll wait for you to say “this game is meaningless.”
“bUt he NevEr wOn nOtHin!”
Well, might want to beat goofballs like Mizzou too, not get embarrassed with a mere 3 points.
@@evansiegel9261Ohio state can never win a chip with risk as coach
I’m a Buckeye fan, and I agree with Paul.
As a Michigan fan I love Ryan Day
@@ryanoliver9229As A Michigan Fan Day Needs To Win Ngl. He Been Praised For Not Doing Much But Recruiting Well Thats It
Exactly espn gotta get rid of mad dog. There are no participation trophies at Ohio State. You don’t get credit for almost beating Georgia.
You guys are so dumb because things could get a lot worse
He’s absolutely right no osu coach has done so little with some Much. The bucks have been talent wise top 3 in talent and Michigan just won the Chip
Stephen A does not get the rivalry. As a Buckeye fan I agree with Paul
nobody gets in state rivalries nor border or national rivalries. why did Gus Malzhan stayed at Auburn longer? because he was able to beat Alabama
Yeah they don’t get it, Ohio state isn’t gonna let him pull a Michigan and have a 5+ loss streak
So if loses to Michigan again and makes the playoffs and wins a game or 2 he should still be fired, y’all are delusional
@@jerodmayoINC it’s not delusional, he better win a championship if he makes the playoffs and loses to Michigan. it’s either you beat Michigan and lose in the playoffs or lose to Michigan and win a championship.
projected 15 NFL draft picks this year due to buying out players and the transfer portal. people like you never understand what rivalries mean to programs. and losing to Moore instead of Harbaugh is a worse look for 3rd base Ryan Day.
@@GoatedAtNFS so if he loses in the natty or the semifinal he should be fired? lmao thats insane
Paul must’ve got ran a raise or sum!!! He’s been COOKING ALL WEEK
Paul’s been going ham 😭😭
He’s probably tired of Saban getting all the eyes
I bet Oregon does better!! There style of play will have new opponents confused!!!
Paul's mad at Ryan Day/Ohio St. cus they haven't beat Michigan, and Paul hates Michigan and Harbaugh. At least that's the impression I got all last year.
Absolutely 💯
People outside the rivalry don’t understand the rivalry. The “game” is equivalent to a national title. As a Michigan fan, I agree with Paul
The best rivalry in college football yeah but equivalent to a national championship is a stretch
@elijahsmith2124 im not picking on you at all, but are you a fan of either team? No intended disrespect. It's just that if you live in Columbus or Ann Arbor, that game, no matter what happens the rest of the yr, is what success hinges on. I've said this for yrs, but if you go 1-11, that one win better be TTUN. It's just a different mentality. Tressel and Meyer had clocks for every year's game. Woody wouldn't get gas for the bus in TTUN territory just so he wouldn't give tax money to that state. There is no rivalry like it and if you aren't a massive fan of either team, it's just difficult to see.
@@ValueDrew yeah I’m in Michigan fan, but I’ve always respected the other side because it takes another side to make a rivalry. It’s funny that Auburn and Alabama fans. Try to compare the rivalry or say they are the best rivalry but they have no idea. That single game gets coaches fired.
@jordanhickey9785 right. I've been a buckeye for life. I've always had respect for UM but I've always had a little trash talk (mostly with respect lol)
Nah, nothing like that Natty 〽️
Ohio state every year is one of the schools w the most NFL draft pics yet they can't win the championship
They haven't been preseason number 1 or picked to win the title in almost 2 decades. A title would exceed expectations plus they have played in a title game and 3 final 4's in 5 years.
@@pJ-us2vlthat’s not true, they were picked to have the most ppl drafted in the NFL last Season. That means they had the best team on paper
Coaching issue
National Championships aren't easy to get.
Only a few active coaches have won them.
Beown,Dabo,& Smart come to mind.
every year is a stretch😂 but a lot of picks fasho
Paul has been on fire this week. Dude is going after everyone.
Ryan day had olave, MHJ, Garrett Wilson, JSN , with stroud as qb & didn’t win
Dont remind me
And lost to Oregon 😂🤣😂
Facts all those 1st rounders and another 1st rounder in downs and the receiver and haven’t won anything guy beats up on bad teams and can’t win when it matters
“Didn’t win”
@@martaviouspaul7117you people are too much😂
Ryan Day has been stranded at 3rd base for so long he might just get picked off and out of there soon
The only thing that matters to Buckeyes fans is winning the Big Ten and number 2 is beating Michigan.
Actually flip that lol the way I was raised from 70s buckeye fans, is if we go 1-11, you better have beat Michigan. Michigan is the most important game all yr, regardless of championship. If we win a championship and lose to Michigan, I'd be sick
No beating Michigan then the big 10
You’re obviously not a buckeye fan. All we care about is beating TTUN
Ryan Day has basically had the same career as Kirby Smart through 5 years
Boy shut up lmfao
kirby has won ryan day hasn’t wdymm
@@jackdaley1310 Not at first. Couldn’t beat Bama

lol We’ve beat TTUN 17 times since 2000.
@@Painfulwhale360 lmfao, so insecure they little girls can't say MICHIGAN. MICHIGAN. MICHIGAN. How many times has Ryan Day beat Michigan, that's what you should be worried about, not ancient history. 🤡
Had to stop listening to reporters like Paul and Stephen A, never played sports in their lives but they’re now the experts. Never listen to a word they say. ESPN really sucks except for Molly on first take, she’s gorgeous 😂
Either Paul got a raise or his wife won't give him any...
He’s been cookin lately😂🤣 can’t wait for the football season
Impressive, now let’s see his record against the sec LMAO.
Paul & mad dog are gold 😂
I agree with Paul
I thought that was Billy Butcher in the thumbnail 😅
Same thought process
oie uuughie, omelandah duhn took me big 10 championship
Here’s Ryan Day’s “impressive 40-0” in the B1G
(5 times) Indiana, Michigan State. Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland.
(3 times) Northwestern, Nebraska, Wisconsin.
(2 times) Minnesota, Purdue.
(1 time) Iowa, Michigan.
only a few times were the wins impressive when Penn State wasn’t an overrated 2 loss team, one time when Wisconsin finished with 10 wins, one time Maryland was good, and the Michigan win for what it’s worth was great. otherwise, it’s a load of garbage he’s destroying with near NFL like rosters he’s inherited.
compare that to Kirby Smart’s regular season run from 2020-to now, never losing a regular season game and beating every SEC school at least once in the regular season except Alabama, that is MUCH more impressive than what Ryan Day did.
But he only won titles because the other better teams OSU and Alabama lost their best players to injury. It's just good luck or dirty coaching which ever way you want to put it .
@@pJ-us2vl Cope 😢
@@pJ-us2vl cope and seethe. Alabama and Ohio State have 5 starts sitting behind 5 stars. that shouldn’t be an excuse
Interesting you put Kirbys 2020 to now run instead of 2016, seeing how Kirbys first 5 years as a head coach went similar to Days (record worse but played tougher teams) being an elite team but unable to win the Championship. 2024 will be Days 6th year at HC.
It takes time to learn and build a team. Let's not forget he was a FG away from basically winning the championship in 2023. Don't be surprised if this is the year it all comes together.
@@spencerkid Kirby went to the national championship his 2nd year as head coach. Won 85 games out of his first 100 games. No other coaches have done that.
“Final fours” lol
Paul hating on all coaches; Lincoln riley, nick saban, lane kiffin, Dabo, etc.
Ryan Day cannot compete against teams with equal talent
Urban was known to lose a game he shouldn’t lose (Purdue, Iowa, etc) but always came back and beat Michigan. Day wins the games he’s supposed to but struggles in the higher ranked matchups
As a Michigan fan ,
Paul Finebaum got his new target in Big 10 after a decade.
Congrats Buckeyes nation , ( He will keep going at you as long as you keep Ryan Day even he beat Michigan but not win a natty) !
Considering roster ,
I am finger crossing for Michigan this year , but GO BLUE !!!!
Paul is the most annoying personality on ESPN.
Finebaum will fly away if he flaps his ears
Stephen A’s Phil Jackson example made no sense whatsoever. He delivered Ryan Day hasn’t and like Paul said I think Ryan Day is a good coach but not an elite coach cause like Harbaugh said he was born on 3rd base and that’s just truth.
Dog vs Paul 😂
The Big Ten is full of doormats except for Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, and Penn State.
I believe Ohio St and Penn State will make the expanded CFP, but Ryan Day is only going to beat Michigan this season because of the roster overhaul and new coaching staff. He has to beat a vintage Michigan team to earn credibility.
Doggie knows Paul is going off 😂😂😂😂
The 3 stooges
I love arguments that are completely removed from context 👌
Paul is right 💯
Finebaum needs a new B1G target now that Harbaugh is gone. Ryan Day is a heck of a coach (full disclosure: I am a Michigan fan) and any program would be lucky to have him. And he's right that expectations are they should win every game. Having said that, rivalries matter.
@@jasonodonnell5177 We refer to those as the "long, dark years".
@@jasonodonnell5177 Wrong.
He is correct dont be delusional @@BlairKrueger-ry3lk
Cracks me up how much stock espn puts in finebaum
He said that like Michigan is with those other pushover yeams. They were until the last couple of years. The big 10 is a tough conference. And one thing oregon is going to learn is that in the big 10, teams play real defense. Not that pac 12 shootout style. They recruit real defensive players. Not sec level usually but vetter thsn any non sec conference plays defense. We will see though.
Doggy's writing off Oregon a little quick there, don't ya think? I understand they haven't won a national championship yet, but my goodness. Lol
Bruh Paul don’t like NO COACH but Nick 😂😂😂 he been CLOWNING coaches lately 😮💨😮💨😮💨😅😅😅
Eeehhh… BUT YOU CANT SAY “40-0 outside of Michigan” When referencing OSU…..
Stephen A’s Phil Jackson example made no sense whatsoever. He delivered Ryan Day hasn’t and like Paul said I think Ryan Day is a great coach but not an elite coach cause like Harbaugh said he was born on 3rd base and that’s just truth. Although I will say with the rate he is winning at there’s a good chance that he will win a natty at some point in his career but there’s gonna be more big games to win now with it being a 12 team playoff and Ryan Day is gonna have to coach well in those games 💯
Ryan Day doesn't get it. Yes you win every game... but, first and foremost, you must beat Michigan. If we go 1-11, that one win better be Michigan. That's how Woody, Tressel, and Meyer coached. Ryan just doesn't understand that mentality
@jasonodonnell5177 no he didn't. He didn't get it until he said Day was hired on Third base. That's when the whole TTUN started to build a team just to beat OSU. 2020 they ducked out yes, but honestly I think that wasn't going to show anything. Day shown through that short yr that all he looked at was making CFP. Here in Columbus, if you win a natty but lose to TTUN, it's still a tainted season. I'd rather ruin TTUNs chances of CFP and no Natty, then win it all and have that blemish.
I’m ready for Mike Vrabel to take over the Bucks!
As an Ohio state fan we could lose every game but we need to win the game
Doggy on that good good talking about how orgeon st is a tougher match up than psu at home.
What the actual F is this guy talking about? Oregon State and UCLA are not concerns in the slightest. Both teams lost their coaches and most their players and Oregon beat them soundly last year even when they were complete. GTFO
For reals. Dude is fkn clueless. Total cringe moment
As a TOSU fan . Keep cooking Paul . See you in January 🙏🏾
Cupcake schedule.
Finebaum has been cooking lol
If Oregon is smart the better really watch on for that October 18th game….dont say I didn’t warn yall lol

But just wanted a fair game

“ Come on Paul! The only team Day has lost to is Michigan!” Well…that right there is the problem. That’s the one team you can’t lose to when you’re at Ohio State. If it was any other team in the Big Ten, fine! But you can’t lose to Michigan when you’re at Ohio State. I’m no fan of either team but even I understand that rivalry especially since I have family members that root for OSU and others that root for Michigan. So that’s the issue with Day. He’s not a bad coach, and no one is denying his record. But if consistently lose the biggest game of the year, there obviously a problem
@@jasonodonnell5177 trust me I remember the win Day had over Michigan and I remember Michigan forfeiting in 2020. It was stupid cuz they got caught practicing that same week. I’m just saying, those other wins against other teams don’t matter at Ohio State cuz the Michigan game is the only game that matters
@@jasonodonnell5177 first of all, if you read my comment, I mentioned how I know the rivalry and the two teams so well….family members.
Second, what’s the number one goal for each of the two teams? Beat the other. That’s the number one goal. Ask anyone who’s a fan of either of those teams and they’ll tell you the same thing. You can go 11-1 but if that one loss is to that heated rival, then the season is a failure in their eyes. I don’t come up with this stuff, they do. Harbaugh lost 5 times and somehow still managed to be coach but that’s also cuz he was rebuilding a program, whereas Day was handed an already great program. He has had more talent than Michigan every year and has a losing record against them. That’s the problem.
Third, I don’t recall ever saying he couldn’t win big games or saying that he didn’t win in the playoffs. This year I believe they will win in the playoffs so idk where that came from.
@@jasonodonnell5177 1-3 in The Game and 3 losses in a row, how is that not consistently losing? And yeah he beat Clemson and that was impressive but that also leaves him 1-3 in the playoffs.
He’s a good coach, yes, but that’s exactly why Ohio State expects more wins against Michigan. I expect them to hand it to Michigan this year, but if he doesn’t while being significantly more talented while Michigan lost a lot of their talent, you’re telling me that’s not a problem?
Coop 2.0 the king of the Just for Men whistle hoppin game for sure. Where’s Lou Holtz tough guy?
Ryan day lookin homelanda took me son lmao
When there's one good team in your conference and you always lose to them yeah you deserve criticism
Gotta admit, I've never heard as much 'moral victory' talk as I have about OSU 'almost' beating UGA. As a Dawg fan who's seen his team fail against Bama many times, mostly by close margins (though they at least beat them once for a Natty when it counted most) ...it's a sad thing to walk around thinking "yeah but we almost beat them". Come on.
Ryann Day was given the keys to a Ferrari and has done nothing but fall short and lose to Michigan teams full of 3 stars. Boys poaching athletes from south Florida and assembling a 7on7 team every year. No wonder they got bullied in the bowl. 🤡 show.
I’m a Missouri alum and as a Tigers fan, have disdain for Paul. Truly enjoyed Lane embarrassing and exposing him at SEC media days this year, but being the last team to play OSU.. he makes a good point bringing up Georgia. That whole cotton bowl felt like we were watching a group of truly talented players with zero offensive identity. Don’t give me the backup QB excuse because thats where Brady Cook got his first start. We may not have won that bowl, but they figured out that who they could be as an offense with him. Look where we are two years later. From losing to Army to beating THE Ohio State.
Will Howard will help but if they don’t figure out what they are trying to accomplish with this early easy schedule, the results may not vary with the blue bloods.
PAUL ............nevermind no comment
Real 😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Yea i agree with paul
If Njixba hadn't sat out for that game against Georgia Ohio State would have been so far ahead taking out Marvin Harrison Jr wouldn't have helped Georgia but nobody wants to talk about that! Stroud was destroying that GA secondary Without one of his star receivers!!!!
40-0 is wild Stephen A is right
40-0 against bums
Molly looking good here 🔥
Imagine thinking Oregon is gonna have TWO OR THREE losses when they have arguably the second best roster in the nation lmao 😂
This is why o don’t watch ESPN anymore, Paul is the only one not screaming
Then turn the volume down.. what’s wrong with them yelling it’s sports. As along as nobody is being disrespected whats the problem
I find it super annoying when Paul does this but it generates clicks unfortunately
My whole thing is who is replacing Ryan if he gets fired bc I can't think of a coach better than him other than Kirby Smart like there is no way you OSU games and think that guy doesn't know what he's doing
Ohio state could easily get somebody
No harbaugh i think ohio state wins
Thought that was billy butcher in the thumb nail 😅
For Steven A, this is like the Knicks getting swept by Boston 3 straight years in the first round after winning 60 games in the regular season.. he would want his coach gone immediately!
Beating Michigan is a must for Ohio State which Day has failed to do.
Buckeye fan here. And I agree with Paul. This is exactly how Buckeye fans feel…it’s time to win it or more on…
A delusional fan maybe
@@wattsinc. lol no a delusional fan is wanting to keep a coach that can’t win the big game…
I Agree with Paul in a lot of things. I disagree with the fact he hasn't won ANY big games. Notre Dame is consistently in top 15 and Bucks beat them 2x in last 2 years. People can argue about Penn St but, they are consistently in top 10 every year and Buckeyes beat them even in the hostile white outs. Just because you beat a team every year doesn't make them bad. and how about the Rose bowl 3 years ago vs Utah? that was BIG! I will give Paul a Pass because he usually says good things about OSU and this is only motivation. It helps Ryan.. I know Paul is getting a lot of bad Buckeye fans on his show.
He's lost a couple close games to some great Michigan teams. I don't think it would be very easy to replace Ryan Day with a better coach but Slimebaum doesn't consider things like that he just throws out ridiculous hot takes for clicks.
They weren't great dude they were cheating fammo 😂
Last year was pretty great they were dominant in the trenches. That's what wins championships historically.
@donjizzlemontana Ohio state has cheated for 20 years but you guys just ignore that 😂 Until Michigan is found guilty you have no excuse. Michigan has just been better than you 😂
@jasonodonnell5177 Wow 🤣 There's just no way you're that stupid. Show me where the NCAA has found them guilty. Go ahead lmao. And he's 60 and wants to win a superbowl. He already accomplished the main feat in college. You need serious help man
Gotta love ole paul. Lmao
No other game matters more than a win against Michigan. They don't understand that
Paul better be right he talking to bold on a lot of people lately
This is the same guy that said Deyawn should replace Riley at USC. Yeah...replace a 7-5 coach with a 4-8 coach that lost 7 of their last 8 including their last 6. So, consider the source.
Is it me or does Ryan Day kinda look like Billy Butcher in the thumbnail
If Day can't get it done, he is! Or he better be. 14mil and all the talent Urban didn't have. He better get it done!
As an OSU fan I agree Day has to beat Michigan. You’d be a fool to not factor in Michigan’s cheating in ‘21 and ‘22. But ‘23 Michigan got us fair and square. He’s had Georgia and Clemson on the ropes in the playoffs but failed to put them down. However most young coaches get experience in the lower ranks before getting a big time gig, Day did not. It took Kirby 6 years to win a ring a Georgia. It took Dabo many years as well. To think Day can’t improve is foolish. The resources are there and he’s very close to breaking through, he just has to do it. I truly think he will this season
I don't really like Finebaum....but he is right in this case. In 2019 Day was born on third base....now after 5 years he has regressed back to second!
Paul been wrong for 3 seasons straight
I feel bad for Finebaum, talking to guys who clearly never watch Cfb and they are acting like you’re crazy because you say what literally everyone else says.
Hasnt Bama lost to Georgia and LSU in the same Three Years? Just Saying how is that not the same criteria?
Charles Woodson said it best, people think that because Ryan Day wins 10-11 games per year he’s secure…..what people don’t realize is that you get fired behind your performance in The Game.
Paul is right what are these two arguing he doesn't win big time games when the lights are bright he chokes ohio state is a great program but day hasn't lived up to the expectation which is natty or bust
I’m a BAMA fan and there was a stretch pre-Saban when Alabama lost to Auburn 6 STRAIGHT YEARS. While rotating coaches lmaooo.
This is the level of vitriol Ryan Day is getting from Buckeye Nation
Paul Finebaum is literally the most miserable dude on this earth
Paul made great points. SAS does this about other teams all the time. Weird take from him on this. Does Mad Dog even watch sports?
Ohio st schedule 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Coaches get too much credit for beating teams they simply out athlete
Paul criticizes coaches so hard. Let’s see how successful he’d be on the sidelines calling plays.
Thank you.
Paul Finebaum wouldn’t win a single game with any roster in the country.
If he can't beat Michigan he must go OH
Remember when Bo Pelini got fired because Nebraska thought they deserved more wins? With Oregon and USC coming into Big Ten the stakes got higher but harder. Ryan Day might not do as well but I can't picture another coach who can do better at this juncture for Ohio St. I don't think there will be undefeated Big Ten teams anymore.
Nebraska would love to have the sucess they had with Pelini about now.
Nah buckeye fan here that man better win a natty or the game and do it fast
Ryan Day in top tier games
3 L’s to Mich. 1 L at home to Oregon. L to Georgia. L to Alabama L to Missouri. W vs Clemson and a W vs Notre Dame. I wish people would stop just pointing to Michigan and acknowledge Day has under performed in pretty much every top ranked game outside of the B1G.
You gotta beat Michigan period
Stephen A and Mad Dog are looking at OSU's record in a vacuum. I think every OSU fan would rather they go 37-3, but those three losses are to someone OTHER than TTUN than to go 40-0 against teams outside of Michigan, but lose to Michigan three straight years.
