Like he said, I can think on a problem for days, but I always find a solution, and also, you can bet that if I am still thinking about it, then I am trying to find a better solution, which I usually do. And i'm in IT, usually I have a bunch of people also trying to find a solution but can't. So no, there is no problem with overthinking, if there is, then there is a problem with your brain.

I actually got rid of my overthinking unintentionally at 19 years old, opposite to what Tristan believes. The reason for my overthinking was because i was lacking normal human interactions as a result of my social/unsocial bubble. I also didn't have much work to do.
Eventually, I actually talked to people for real and stopped putting up an act, had to live with 2 roommates 24/7 with no time for myself and people always looking to talk to me, so i realised that no one cares about anything you do for more than 2 hours and 95% of people are not worth to even think about.
Also, for the first time i was always busy (not to confuse with being productive) - for probably about 12 hours a day and i've been getting multiple burnouts and i realised it's not worth to also spend mental energy on overthinking.
I am only overthinking ocassionally on new things i am doing and my overthinking is done in like 1-5 minutes of just slow decisions instead of confident impulsive decisions.
I just always get to the same point - this might happen and that, and that and that - So what..., lets do it (and it ends there) cuz i am tired of overthinking when the bad scenario won't even be that bad
Also, as Tristan says - be grateful for what you have and where you are but that played a lesser part in it for me.
My mind has gotten too lazy to overthink for 2-5 hours a day and i have overthought about almost everything, so i don't need to do extra.
Overthinking happens when you have nothing better to do and are in your own bubble

Great video, A month ago, my five-year relationship came to an end. I really can't stop thinking about the love of my life, who made the decision to leave me. I've done everything in my power to win him back, but it's all in vain, and I can't imagine my life with anyone else. I genuinely miss him and just can't stop thinking about him, even though I've tried my hardest to stop thinking about him. I'm not sure why I'm saying this here.

As for the problem of overthinking, it is quite simple. You stop thinking. If you can't stop thinking, it means that you are addicted to thinking. Most people who are addicted to thinking are heavily under the belief that they are their mind. Your mind is an extension of you, much like your hand is an extension of you. If you couldn't stop moving your hand, you would see that as a serious problem and may eventually even have it removed. You must realize that you are not your mind but the container of your mind so that you may exert control over your mind.

Don't confuse love with control. If you love someone unconditionally, you're happy for her even when she isn't with you. But I bet you are making yourself go crazy over which man is going to tap her ass next. And if it hasn't already happened, it will happen very soon. Wish her all the best and move on. Men who tend to hang on, get anger issues and eventually do very stupid things.

I was the starving children 😂 And it's a blessing. Because you spontaneously build skill that he's talking about : ability to just accept circumstances if you can't change them.
It's being grownup: accepting things, not being weak and spoiled. It's so simple and normal to me, I also never had any ptsd, depression, anxiety etc... While I keep seeing people with great life having it, and all kinds of addictions (alcohol, pills, recreative d*ugs, p*rn...).
I did NOTHING to be mentally stable, it just is. And I believe it's because of struggles in early life.
Point : do not overprotect your children, let them learn how to face, accept and solve problems. It's a skill, let them learn. Also don't entertain them, let them be bored and invent their own solution to being bored.
And be careful who you marry. Nobody's attractiveness will help your kids, but their character will shape them or break them.

Overthinking / Rumination is due to stress. That's when your brain won't stop turning. Best way to eliminate that is working out, because that reduces stress, or do mediation techniques like EFT which eliminate the root emotions of why you're overthinking.
I was overthinking a lot when I was in a stressful period in life, I've since learned to eliminate stress with EFT, meditation, workout, neurogenic tremors, and I don't overthink anymore. My brain is quiet and relaxed.

I love the perspective here! Overthinking is part of who we are, and instead of fighting it, embracing it as a strength can change how we handle it. As for mental strength, I’ve learned that gratitude for what we have can shift our focus from what's tough to what’s truly valuable. It’s like a subtle trick I picked up during the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x, where humor helped me see the absurdity in my struggles. Keep pushing forward-mental strength grows when we recognize our blessings, not just our problems!

So, basically, yes, overthink and think about negative stuff, but also BE GRATEFUL, think about the positive side too and understand that it's probably never as bad we might think, be more positive, you'll feel better and automatically attract positive things towards you. If you wake up irritated and let that upset you and talk badly to others, you'll receive negative stuff back, if you control it and still act/speak positively, you'll receive positive things back and you and people around you will feel better, long story short, be as positive as possible and greteful of whatever you have, regardless of the situation.

You actually have to realize that many times, your brain is not convinced of things so that it digs deeper and deeper only to confirm the truth that was already acknowledged. This realization is give you peace of mind if you’re an overthinker.

That advice on mental strength is so good. I remember coming out of my first relationship, got dumped, it sucked and its easy to have the feelings and heartbreak be overwhelming but the way i got through it was by looking on the situation and seeing that ok, we were together a few months, it didn’t work, shit went sideways and I got dumped, my life goes on, her life goes on. We weren't married, no kids between us, it was months and not years, and how many people have to deal with thise kind of problems and I don't? Ive got it so easy compared to most break ups, so my life goes on I'm fine, I'll live, it sucks but so be it.

Agree with what he says about mental health, but overthinking is a mental issue too. You can’t control your first though but you can change it. Training you mind to switch to something positive when you start thinking-over thjnking negative thoughts isn’t easy but very possible. Meditation/ affirmations etc

When you think you've reached 100% and you're about to break, you've actually only reached 20%. There is nothing that can happen, nothing that anyone can say and nothing that you can ever think that will take you to 100% and break you. Even the dude in the mansion crying was crying at 5% for some kind of misguided desire for sympathy. You cannot be broken. You are unbreakable. You were made that way.

    Philippians 4:6-10
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned[b] and received and heard and seen in me-practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
    Philippians 4:12-13
12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

If your overthinking is in worry... I highly recommend Jesus. We look up, not inwards, faith and worry can not coexist. They can battle each other for space, but they are separate entities and the more faithful you become in God's will not your own, the less thinking will happen. The second is work, channel in your thinking into a solution, start with just writing out your plan and when it appears on paper (or a word doc) than it's right there for you, the mind will relax.

the only way to get rid of negative overthinking is to get rid of the insecurities and things about yourself which you’re overthinking about. Other than that overthinking because of exams, family and more similar things is pretty alright, those are things to spend your mind on
