Those front views are very valuable. There are some key movement patterns we can only see from the front. The fastest guy next to you ran so smooth. If you can find such smooth rythm you will achieve great things. Finally your starts are very good. This should make you confident and hungry!

I competed in Jessheim in 2019, and at the age of 35 run my first sub-12 time. The weather was crap, we warmed up in the same indoor facility. I ran 12.00 and then 11.97. I was so happy I cried! My only two sub-12 times have both been ran in Norway, which is a bit odd, but I guess it means I gotta come back next summer!

I always find it amazing how everybody has different strengths in their race. For example harvard ingvaldsen doesn't have the best 100M or 150m but he does have amazing 200 and 400m. Keep up the good work man

Wouldn't have been a good video without the trusted cameraman: Soban / instagram.com/soban_inayat/
Also thanks to Andreas / instagram.com/andreas.bakketun/
(Some footage from NRK as well, thanks)
Some interesting split times from the 200m final: (Spoiler)
    Splits: Hove / Ingvaldsen
    50m: 5.98 / 6.05
    100: 10.75 / 10.80
    120: 12.72 /12.74
    140: 14.64 / 14.64
    160: 16.64 / 16.60
    200: 20.68 / 20.91
    My PB splits from 2021: 10.68 + 10.00 = 20.68
Ingvaldsen went on to win the U23 Euro Champs later this summer, was 0.06s away from breaking the European 400m Record, and placed 6'th at the World Champs.
Cant be mad about loosing to a guy like that!

That was a pretty decent video, put together there.
And if you want to become a world-class 200m runner, yourself as well... You gotta increase a bit your running endurance. By joining a few real pace, 800m racing; then a few 400m racing; and then back to the 200m. With the trade back, being that your 100m & 60m specific training, gets to be, a bit shelved.
Of course that, that depends on what your Athlete's career sponsors would say... Even though you've only already competed for a Diamond league race, as a 200m dash, runner.

@@tension- I'm the dude that once ran the 600m dash, in about 57s. And was told by its national federation coach; not to become a track & field professional athlete. Because, it wasn't going to look good, on TV; when I'd cross the finish lane, only by-myself, for the final TV picture frame.
Maybe, if there was actually a 600m dash track & field Official event; back in the late 1990's... I'd would've went to try to collect most of the important medals available to get for the 600m dash; alongside the correspondent: solitary photo-finish-posters, as well.

Mathias, I wish you all the best of luck, you are a stubborn fellow. I'm watching your training, but as they say, there is something hidden everywhere that sometimes defies analysis. Here's the guy who won, I'm sure he doesn't show anywhere near the same results in the overall strength form as you, but it doesn't bother him at all. yes, there is a champion of Norway, of the elite of the sprint, I'm sure more than half will not do what you lift and can do ..... however, this has a very indirect relation to the speed of running. and of course , considering the results of Kevin Mayer , you can 't help but wonder if that 's what I 'm doing ...in any case, good luck to you.

There are 40-50 million Black Americans, and only 100k African Norwegians.
Statistically there "should" be 450 10.3-runners in the US for every 10.3 runner in Norway.
Add to that the US High School track culture (which is non existent in Norway), ability for people to chase track scholarships, and a much bigger track culture in general.
We're not slow here, we're just few.
