You are such an inspiration and I admire your passion for the sport. I am 25 years old and I have no history in any sport at all. But watching you motivates me to start getting into sport. I aspire to be an athlete like you someday. I hope I’m not too old 😅
Thank you for the comment, lovely to hear! I'd say there is an overwhelming amount of examples that show clearly; it is never too late to get started :)
hey man! I'm incredibly happy for you that you're back into competition mode. I know that these results to most people may be overlooked, but I watch this video and gained an immense amout of respect for you knowing what you've gone through to simply step onto the track I've been a supporter for quite some time, and seeing this series of races doesn't disappoint. You represent work ethic and honor the passion for this sport. Kia Kaha. - CH.

I applaud you Mathias for partaking in a sport that you automatically can't be the best at due to not being of west African descent. Bravo good sir.... Kidding, your videos are amazing and you seem like a great lad. Wish you success in the future.
Awesome video, awesome running. What I love is that although you didn’t get first place every time, you were still happy with your performances, you against you. I could learn from that.
hey, im not sure you want to take any advise from a 14 year old 12.00 second runner but i found that having my head down quite far helped me a lot. if you want to try this maybe once or twice just forcus on looking at your shoelace while in set.
You are lucky, man , Spanish sprinter Pol Retamal won't be allowed to compete in Paris by the Spanish federation despite having ran in 20.40 , these clowns consider he's not competitive enough
You mean Budapest? Either way, sounds like a sad decision from the federation... He did a great season opener and won my heat in Poland this year. Looking at his results from the Spanish championships (20.40 and 20.48 (-1.6)), and 20.2 last year he deserves a place in the WCH. There will be 8 competing athletes ranked below him..
@@hovejoha Well, as long as I know it is the World Championships, apparently Pol is classified by the WA points system but Spanish Federation came up with a 20.30 qualifying standard,; additionally last year he suffered the same situation in Oregon. Edit- So of course you already knew him hahahaha
Hello buddy i m from india.. should sprinters do tempo reps in off season or not ? On social media everybody talking about max speed and acceleration workouts nobody talking about tempos for sprinters is it really unnecessary
This is the way it works in big races, and often the way I run at my best. For European/world championships you will often have to meet up in a call room, ready to race around 30 minutes before the gun goes off. You'll get a little time to move around, but not a lot, so best to be fully prepared.
@@hovejoha Dear Mathias thank you for detailed information. I am a master athlete +35 age group. Following your videos from Türkiye 🇹🇷. Amazing videos. A bit more SPRİNT informational videos would be great ! Thank you again.
Enjoyed the video. You are very talented, and I think you can shave down a lot of time off your 200. Enough to hit the 20.16 qualifying time. Had you been healthy you probably would have been there now. Paris 2024 is in your grasp.
Hey men!!! Your times in competition are too slow to participate in the Olympics, it will be very difficult for you to achieve the marks for Paris 2024
Do you think being that fast is genetic? I mean having more fast twitch muscle fibers? or sth. Because obviously very few people in the world would ever come close.

Hi Mathias, I have two questions, how tall are you and how much do you weigh?
Do you run the 400m?
Funny, got stuck in your vids (former youth track athlete) until I noticed … 😂
Hahaha fun coincidence 😅
How hard is it to balance on those electric skateboards feel like I would die if I got on those things
Mine is not electric (but I want one hehe), been skating for 12+ years so it's as natural as walking for me at this point.
i am 30. i hope i can go practice some sprint. when i were young i can run fast😂
Go for it!

Can I practice under your guidance
How tall are you?
8:34. . Shame I am Tunisian watching you since almost 3 years from France
So, basically you warmed up and you had 40 min for race start ? 😳 let’s say you had couple of block starts but isn’t too much gap between the race ?
