But what surprised me, I cant find official manual. Only Quick Start guide. So I will watch all your videos in Plethora playlist and thanks a lot of your great job. But still, how did you find out how to do all special steps? By experimenting only? Thanks for any answer.
I download TonePrint windows software 64 bit and connected it to my plethora x3. It says TonePrint pedal is unknown to the app. The software reads the serial number and version of the plethora and see’s all boards blank with the correct board names. Any ideas? I can actually rename a board but it can’t see the pedals on the boards nor the library. If I connect the plethora via Bluetooth to iPhone it see’s it.
I have 1 more short question.. If i want that ˝Always on˝ Reverb as we say, plus a Shimmer but only controlled with Expression... Wich 3 parameters are the best to assign to expression? (widout mash) so i get reverb and Shimmer but only on EXP pedal, not using Mash.....? TNXX
You'll have to check which parameters would be more important to you. The Octaver Output is fundamental, so that leaves you with two extra control slots; you could set a fixed value for the Octaver Output HiCut Freq and the Router FX Level, which are mostly nice to have but not essential, which leaves the Reverb Decay and Modulation Mod Mix. Map those two to the expression pedal (Mod Mix was already there anyway), and you should be able to still get a nice expansive shimmer just by using the expression pedal! 👍🏻
Hi. I'm having serious problems here using my DVP4 mini for Plethora X5 as an expression pedal. I have adjusted the pedal's internal buttons but I still have problems calibrating. Do you have any tips? thanks.
I've never tested the DVP4 personally, but from the manual and specs it should work by following the Expression mode instructions: Tuner / Exp switch in EXP position, TRS cable from the AUX jack to the pedal's expression input. Start with the internal trimpot fully off (counterclockwise). On the Plethora, go to the edit mode, scroll down to settings, click to follow through to Global, then EXP Calibration, choose manual, then follow the prompt to calibrate both heel and toe down. If it's messing up, try flipping the DVP4's Tip / Ring switch to the other position and try running the calibration again. Once you have it running with the Plethora, the same switch settings on the DVP4 should allow you to use it with the OD200. Let me know if this helps!

I didn't know there were differences between them. I'll do some research to learn about these differences. For the plethora, using TRS only works in inverted mode, but that solves the problem. The same doesn't happen with the Boss OD200, it still doesn't work even with the TRS cable, it must be a matter of compatibility...
Ah, good to know you figured it out 😃 A TRS cable has 2 conductors + ground (Tip, Ring, Sleeve), where a regular patch cable (TS, Tip Sleeve) only has 1 conductor + ground. I'm still surprised it doesn't work with the OD200, though... 🤔

Hi is there any possibility to map shimmer this way? I play a different notes but I want to add shimmer just on one of them, for example I play 1-3-5-8 from chord not at once and I want to ad shimmer for example on root note from chord. I can add tail now so ts OK but I need to touch the button twice - to turn it on and of and if I'm late shimmer will also catch the other note. Is there possibility I that I just touch it once shimmer will appear and stays as a tail till touch it again and it will do the same? Maybe I did not explain it well but I've tried my best, thanx a lot
Hi Stancoo! I think there might be a way of using the MASH switch to do a similar thing: try mapping the Octaver - FX Level Up parameter to the MASH switch. That way you can press and hold the footswitch down, play your note and it gets shimmered, then release the pressure and play the other notes without shimmer. The shimmer tail from the first one will still be there for as long as the reverb is decaying, so depending on how long your decay is, the effect might not be enough for you... The other solution, that involves spending money, is getting a TC Infinite and running either a Hall of Fame, Flashback, or even a Sub'n'Up or Brainwaves in octave up mode on the Infinite's FX loop (like this: ua-cam.com/video/W_gvyXn1VV8/v-deo.html). Use the Infinite in momentary mode instead of latching (like here: ua-cam.com/video/I3TRl_mry0M/v-deo.html) and you get exactly what you want. Hope this helps! 🙏🏻

Dont know if I can explain it exactly/correctly, sorry for my english. if you can help me would be great, thanx a lot
Ah, I hadn't understood that you wanted to stop all of the reverb on the other notes, not just the shimmer! No worries - try mapping the Router - Input Level to the MASH switch, but with a reverse curve, i.e. 100% without pressure, 0% with pressure. That way when your foot is pressing down on it, no sound will be passed on to the reverb input, and only the dry sound will be passed to the output. Let me know if this works for you!
