Could you also implement the possibility to assign a global tap tempo to its own switch (or an effect that doesn't need MASH) and to be able to set the tap switch to control multiple effects : delay + flanger (slow or fast division) + tremolo + VVibe + Phaser + Vibrato. That would be really useful because that would allow to have Mash on Delay + Tap tempo. And I also had a drummer complaining that the Flanger speed was troubling his tempo. Would be tremendous if the "subdivision feature" of the PipelineTremolo was available for all the modulation effects and that we could set a slow tap division for flanger but a fast tap division for tremolo and then tap both with the global tap switch. On the other hand, it's already possible to save a pedalboard preset per song, so that's a workaround. Keep up with the awesome work !!!! Best regards
The toneprint app on my Android phone still doesn't work (after the last plethora updates) I've already tried to remove and reinstall the app a few times. Can you please Fix That or make the old version (before the march and april updates) available again ! ! !
100%. A way of setting the master output and 5 or 10 band eq per pedalboard would turn this from being a platform that has to be linked to other pedals to work for me, to one at can be a stand alone unit and much much more desirable. Just an eq block that is set in the app and beamed to one of the slots would get me to part with my cash.👍
You could do a basic boost/eq hack using the Hypergravity compressor-- I made a toneprint for this with my standalone pedal by setting the threshold all the way up to disengage the compressor, then mapping 3 knobs to the Low/Mid/High gain settings and the 4th Level knob can give you an overall boost when cranked. Not a super detailed EQ, but you can set the crossover points to taste.
Yes yes yes! That would be amazing - multiple types so that I can add different ones to different boards. AND!! It would be great to have some overdrives and distortions like the Klon, TS9, The Rat, Boss Heavy Metal, etc.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, implement the ability to reverse the signal chain order. I don't even mind if the buttons are still numbered left-to-right, so long as the signal flow goes right-to-left. (I can't see the numbers from standing distance anyway. :D ) This is a show-stopper, for me.

Yeah, imagine controlling feedback amount with it and going full 90s grunge for a bit. Or pressure sensitive distortion amounts, so you can glide into the heavy part instead of just on/off. Or a mid booster instead of traditional wah
A transparent overdrive pedal would be my vote for an AMAZING addition. I’d say most will prefer to run an analog drive pedal in the loop, however, having the option to use the X5 by itself and still have all the essentials would be awesome. A close second would be getting a few different output amps ex. Vox AC 30, fender twin reverb, and a high gain Marshall. Awesome work gents 🍻

Great product and video. I’d like to see: 1. Global tap tempo, 2. More / different Cabinet options, 3. Expression pedal blend between different effects, 4. Multiple loops on the looper (for different song parts), 5. Black casing. I’d rather use analogue Overdrive/distortion/fuzz pedals, but happy to give them a try if they get added, thanks TC
There was a suggestion on the Music Tribe boards that you can already use the expression to blend between the level or mix of two different effects, as it can control 3 things.
Would be great to expand MIDI feature set: - MIDI clock sync (at least global, pref optional at block level) - MIDI Cc enable/bypass blocks - MIDI Cc Expression
BTW, Kudos to Andres for the software; from everything I saw from videos already, it looks really well done and very intuitive, to the point we don’t need any manual... which is not always the case with other products. It’s so easy to forget the hard and long work to make something look easy and very “simple”.
That’s so true! I read some complaints about the software not being intuitive enough but I’ve had the pedal for 2 days now and I already know my way around it enough to be able to create a board on the fly during rehearsals. However, there are some hidden functions that I’ve only found out about on UA-cam, like the fact the triple tapping the fifth switch activates the tuner, or how to activate tap tempo and so many more. There is a lot to be discovered and I feel it offers a lot of flexibility, especially if you get into the Toneprint app and edit stuff there. Awesome work, guys!
Alter Ego and others would be a big bonus, an EQ pedal would be great (boost as well, but I assume the HyperGravity would work in a pinch) and I am a bit concerned about the tuner triggering leading to premature mechanical failure. I love the UI, especially on the tuner, the ability to change the UI design from the squares to the circles. Those small touches matter. But quick easy dependable access to a tuner could make or break for me. Ability to turn one of the available pedal slots into a one-touch-tuner is the best solution I can think of off the top of my head.
Very nice. Two functions that could be useful: 1) BPM follows MIDI tempo (with sub-devision/multiply). So you can sync it to Ableton in a live situation and it just will follow tempo changes. 2) The possibility of a reverse function on the expression pedal. So you can use the pedal to segue from one effect to another.
guitarist are indeed lacking ways to sync with daw, and this is, (whatever we think, wish or hope) the future for the good and/or the bad of it so please implement proper midi sync for looping multiple phrases, thanks
getting a digital drive would be great. There are so many drive varieties (tube screamer, blues driver, OD-1, King of Tone, Klon, etc.) it would definitely sell!
So when can we expect the next major update with: Looper, Phaser, Vibe and change of order of the pedals?? It was promised after Eastern, and I know we are still after Eastern, and later it was promised mid August. Midi implementation - could we please have global midi clock - then each pedal can have a the same base for its sub divisions. Can we also have power in the midi thru socket to provide power to Yamaha Bluetooth Midi adaptors - that way my iPad can select the appropriate board when I select the songs in Setlist Maker / Band Helper Many thanks
I would love to see an EQ-Filter effect bloc such the Sonuus Wahoo pedal, so we could create any kind of wah pedals and control it with the expression pedal.
I would also like to see a good WAH pedal block with full control from the expression pedal. The main thing is to have everything I need in this small package so it can come with me when I travel, along with my Syn-1.

Agree with any and all that say CC, at least for pedal on/off, is needed. Also delay spillover when delay is disengaged via CC. In addition, ability to select MIDI channel, if not already included. Finally MIDI clock is needed.

Distortion? Maybe. Fuzz? No. I've still not heard a decent digital fuzz. It may be useful for some, but I'd quickly recommend a cheap SF300 or something instead of TC spending time on this development.
I don't understand, why would you NOT want digital drives? I can understand if you wouldn't use them, but to ACTIVELY REQUEST not having them confuses me?
@@corican Simple answer Jordan - ALL digital drive pedals sound crap. Adding rubbish into Plethora justs adds useless bells and whistles that get in the way and make it more complicated to use. If you want digital drives get a Line6 or Boss multi-effects pedal :)
TexasTunesmith It would be great to have the option to switch between personal or global tap tempo for each slot with compatible effect. This way you could sync two delays but leave a tremolo on its own tempo.
@tc_electronic need this. If this is not happening, will it be possible to imitate global tap tempo with an external switch? This is what makes my triple delay so much less useable.
Just got mine today. Absolutely love the design - amazing work, guys! Requests: 1) Implement the loop function on Sentry to use the insert jacks - I use the Sentry on my big board for all my drive pedals and preamp - it's the best I've used. 2) Ditto (but that's coming, you say) 3) MIDI CC 4) A black version 5) A full online manual with all specs listed and updated. Cracking bit of kit, beautifully set out. I love the work you guys do - keep it up and stay safe.
Just curious if an analog dry thru path is or will be implemented? It'd be great to have a dry thru/parallel path option. For example, in the fx loop return (post) that way in 4CM you only have 1 ad/da conversion. I also vote no on digital drives.
The Plethora X5 is a smart, well designed, and beautiful board. The addition of the looper and phaser will be a wonderful addition. The ability to tweek all the parameters for each effect via bluetooth is a dream for creators. Thank You TC Electronic for this board!
Just pre-ordered. Awesome piece of tech. Here are some feature requests you was asking for: 1. More cab sim options. Since I am a bassist, I would like to see some bass cabs. 2. Digital Drive would be cool, but not a high priority for me. Maybe a SpectraDrive. 3.Glad to hear a looper is coming. 4. As a bassist I am still missing an Envelope Filter from TC. Would love to see such a pedal from TC. And of course on the X5. 5. MIDI CC support 6. Bass Pedals please!! ;-)
@@tomh4244 No. Midi CC would let an external controller directly control the individual pedal slots or parameters on the Plethora. The Plethora doesn't have Midi out, only thru, so it can't control other devices.
I think you need some alternative ways to trigger the tuner, that rotary control is going to break with repeated stomping. How about external footswitch in the expression socket? Or if using an expression pedal for Volume then trigger the tuner in the heel down/0 voume position - configurable though!
I would like the following things being assignable to foot switches: - Tuner - Booster with Volume, Treble, Bass and the three modes flat, fat, mid (basically a Spark with no Gain Controll) - IR Loader if possible - parametric EQ The X5 seems to be an awesome product, I will get one. Fantastic demo guys! 1. Colors are cool, but it really isn't that important If it keeps costs down for the customer, I choose one color. 2. With the Compressor, we should be able to add it to one of the 5 slots (in the background), either On or Off, so as to not take up a slot. So maybe through settings it could ask us from the beginning: "With or without compressor? And there it stays. 3. Cab sim options - YES!! Don't go nuts like others adding 1,302 options, but I think the majority of us want the basics (you know what they are; those that suit the subtle to not so subtle musical styles). I like the idea of the Plethora as a workhorse, working musician's tool with the simplicities of the Mooer G200, Cerebus, etc Beyond that it gets way too technical and many of us want simplicty. That is why this thing is so attractive; think BOSS M80, but more!! 4. Distortion/Drives?? Hmm, might work, but stay focused on what you guys do well.
Just had an idea. Since this runs in stereo would be be cool to set it to mono only to save resources. Also would be cool if you're running the unit in stereo to be able to pick a pedal in your chain to run only Left channel, Right channel or both channels so you can build left channel and right channel sounds to be different.

yes please do the option to reverse the signal chain as it would integrate better with other pedals on the board, like it won't be convenient to me and probably others to have for example their Wah pedal or drive next to the delay on the Plethora

Thanks for this vid! YES please add (digital) drives. Great to have the option for drives and be able to just use the X5 (e.g. to take to jam sessions) Take care guys!
Yes, overdrive and fuzz are a must. Two overdrives, actually: tweed-like and soft-clipping. Fuzz would have to be something similar to a fuzz-face, not a Muff. Also a basic clean amp simulator stomp (within the lines of the Tech21 Blonde pedal) for the cab sim to be paired with and to take advantage of overdrive and fuzz stacking. Plethora's 5 slots are perfect for blues/rock boards: Overdrive->Fuzz->Amp sim->Flashback II->Hall of Fame 2. As for now, it seems this pedalboard is geared towards a time/modulation signal chain section only, but due to its layout and size, it could be a complete guitar/bass signal chain solution. I'm very interested in the product, but there is no online manual so we can read about its complete feature set. You make great products, keep it up!
I am very happy with the quality of the pedal ... these are just points I observed using the Plethora X5 for you to improve even more Thank you! Sorry for any mistake in the spelling of English, I'm Brazilian. 1- The toneprint is not working on android, the application opens, but does not find the phone via bluetooth. 2 - as a fan of filter modulation effects, you could think of having a pedal similar to q tron + on the plethora x5 ... And of course a basic equalizer and distortion, it would be very useful ... 3 - The Tuner is not very accurate, guys ... if you can improve this and also put the function to detect all strings tune at once. This at the time of the live show helps us to be more precise to identify which note is out of tune. 4 - Do not save the effects whenever you are configuring. There are moments when we are testing some effect settings, but we don't like the changes we made and we would like to get back to the starting point. However, this is impossible at the moment, because the pedalboard is always saving changes ... it would be interesting to have the option of saving or not the changes made, in case we didn't like it and we wanted to go back to the configuration that was at the beginning of the effect . 5- Fx loop extender: When we insert the fx loop in the signal chain, there are only the options to insert it in slot 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 ... It would be interesting if we could do the sending the effects signal to the fx loops in more slots, for example 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2-4, 2-5, 3-5. To be able to send more than one effect in the signal chain to the Fx Loop. 6- Insert Bpm without tap time. Because sometimes, when we are using it in sync with keyboards and synths, we would like to put in the exact bpm of the song, then we have to keep stepping on the tap time until we find the exact bpm, which takes a lot of time, because there is no precision, it would be easier to enter this time manually. And unfortunately inserting the time manually, it only appears in ms, it should appear in bpm would also be much easier. 7- For Bassists: Option to output D.i. and with amp simulation ... As the plethora x5 has stereo output, it would be interesting to take advantage of this fact so that one of the outputs could make a signal without the amp simulation and another with the amp simulation, for the bass player being able to send the two signals to a mixer and thus being able to mix between the two outputs, as we know, it is a common technique of mixing this mix between different e and amp e that greatly improves the bass timbre.

Although I have the Triple Delay and have no problem with it going left to right, it is something that puts a big question mark over me considering the Plethora X5. So a right to left option gets my vote! Also, can the knobs be assigned to control pedal functions on the fly, without the need to dive into the settings if you want to tweak something mid song?
I asked this on the Music Tribe boards. Being able to assign one parameter (or maybe 3 like the mash button/expression) to the single knob would be great. Or, have the knobs assignable at the board level with 1 to 3 parameters each for any of the 5 pedals.
Plethora X3 sounds like a great idea - a budget-friendly model with reduced effects-blocks would be perfect for me (as long as it still has the effects loop, can have boards changed via MIDI, and has a Viscious Vibe as an available effect)
It would be great to be able to limit the SubNuP sub octave range so, we can play bass range on E and A strings while playing chords on the top 4 strings. Boss OC-3 can do this. Plethora & SubNuP could do this as well. It would be wonderful.

I'm not a fan of full blown multi-effects units, but I like the idea here. This definitely looks like a step in the right direction. That said, I think I'll be sticking with my conventional pedals for the time being. I'm looking forward to seeing how this is supported and developed, and hoping for the best.
When using MIDI to change pedalboards, what is the lag time between boards? Will changing pedalboards via MIDI allow delay/reverb trails? Also, add another vote to include the alter ego toneprints. Would love to replace my alter ego x4 with the plethora.
jswpg3 i bought a flashback 2 x4 and HOF 2 x4 and I don’t think à plethora can be used as easy as these two in a live setting! Though it seems to be great for practicing and studio !
I've heard that the Plethora doesn't switch boards quickly enough via MIDI to be used during a song. It's really set up to be switched between songs. This is discussed in depth on the Music Tribe message board.
I'm looking at this as a multi fx DI for recording at home. Drives and fuzz would be great. Bass pedals, amp and cab sim would be great. An acoustic guitar pre amp would be awesome. A vocal pre amp/pre set board would great too. Really looking forward to this. Thanks for the video.
You mention working on a looper: that's great! I hope users can run 5 loopers simultaneously in various modes of interaction (free, sync, serial): that would blow something like the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler out of the water! Seriously, any ambient musician would buy it just for this feature alone!
Yes! If you added different cabs to select and even tweak from, this product will be even more of a hit. You should definitely add that in the future. I really want to get one of these!

I bought one recently and don't regret. Very useful and most effects are very high quality. But the point on top: The respect for customers and their wishes, we can see in this video. TC changed a lot in response to wishes of the buyers. Great service. Its my favorite brand now. And the analog drives have good quality. Digi-drives could destroy the reputation. Digi Drives are rarely good quality
Can you load ( 4 ) Harmony ( Quintessence ) pedals in a board, then set each one to a different key ? Can you make the footswitch Latch or momentary? The reason I ask is let's say I am playing a part that changes keys, for example. Lastly if this is possible, when you change to different pedals will the original pedal cut off or allow for some amount of ( carry over) so it doesn't sound like I just cut the last note off to get to the new key.
Is there any way I can get an answer to this question? After spending some time with the quintessence pedal, I really like it, but need more flexability with it.
This pedal is a game changer, a lot of room for it to evolve. Would definitely like to see the Alter Ego and T2 TonePrints on here, and maybe even the Transition TonePrints. It would also be cool to see an X3 and an X7 to meet different player demands. Would like to see you guys integrate the Crescendo auto swell into it, maybe even as a ghost pedal. And last but not least, would like to be able to run certain effects in the chain in parallel (I like run a chorus and phaser in parallel).
Would also be cool to have different IR cabs (VIntage, Modern, etc.) Or even have the abillity to create/adjust CAB parameters somehowe to customize the sound of the IR.
Mine arrived yesterday and it's great. I used the ditto x2 and letting that fill up 2 slots with the fx buttons (for dedicated stop) would crazy useful. I do a solo, full-band-sounding show and will get to try it out live in a couple weeks.
I actually cancelled my order from Thomann when I heard it can't be synced to MIDI clock... please guys solve this, so I can sync it with the Ditto X4!
Nice work! Analog dry through to avoid phase issues in a wet-dry setup please. Or, is the solution for that simply to have all wet fx panned to one side with stereo out? Also optional reverse pedal order would be brilliant. Having a volume pedal follow the loop is very clever. I vote no on digital drives and thanks for asking.
There might be a way to utilize the knobs out of edit mode, even for simple global effects like adjusting the global volume or tone coming out of the entire board. Maybe you can try looking into this?
I'd love to have a global tap tempo with an external footswitch. This is what is currently stopping me from buying the Plethora. I love TC Electronic pedals, and the MASH function is something I don't want to sacrifice over tap tempo. Yet, I don't want to get rid of it...
Add a Fender Tweed style cab / IR please! Looks awesome and I love the framework you've developed to allow for extending features. If there was a wah/envelope filter I'd buy it tomorrow. OD would be nice :)
Just ordered to use with Keyboards. With a few features, this could be the perfect Keyboard FX - Global MIDI clock so we can set delays in fractions of a beat. MIDI clock in would be awesome! - Parametric EQ pedal with 3-4 bands, frequency, q and gain - MIDI CC Control of the 3 knobs and the individual Pedal on/off Switches - If the MIDI thru could be used as MIDI out, would be amazing to send the mash buttons and ext pedal out as CCs. - Leslie sim would be the icing on the cake! - Keys category as well as guitar and bass in the TonePrint app
I'm so excited about this thing. Thanks for the great video. Two questions: 1) I have never ventured into MIDI world but this thing is making me want to. If I get a switch (e.g. Disaster Area MIDI Baby 3) will I be able to assign one of the switches to on/off the tuner (and will it mute or through the signal), and 2) Have you guys considered an option where you can name the pedal boards using characters that appear as large as the numbers (rather than what looked like sub text in this video)? It would be nice to use a MIDI switch to scroll through boards between songs that easily display large type of, say, song names, "Max Delays" "Gilmour tones"etc. Stuff like that rather than having to remember the numbers. That's the badassery I am hoping for here

I’d say most will prefer to run an analog drive pedal in the loop, however, having the option to use the X5 by itself and still have all the essentials would be awesome. A close second would be getting a few different output amps ex. Vox AC 30, fender twin reverb, and a high gain Marshall. Awesome work gents 🍻

There was a suggestion on the Music Tribe boards that you can already use the expression to blend between the level or mix of two different effects, as it can control 3 things.

BTW, Kudos to Andres for the software; from everything I saw from videos already, it looks really well done and very intuitive, to the point we don’t need any manual... which is not always the case with other products. It’s so easy to forget the hard and long work to make something look easy and very “simple”.
That’s so true! I read some complaints about the software not being intuitive enough but I’ve had the pedal for 2 days now and I already know my way around it enough to be able to create a board on the fly during rehearsals. However, there are some hidden functions that I’ve only found out about on UA-cam, like the fact the triple tapping the fifth switch activates the tuner, or how to activate tap tempo and so many more. There is a lot to be discovered and I feel it offers a lot of flexibility, especially if you get into the Toneprint app and edit stuff there. Awesome work, guys!

Alter Ego and others would be a big bonus, an EQ pedal would be great (boost as well, but I assume the HyperGravity would work in a pinch) and I am a bit concerned about the tuner triggering leading to premature mechanical failure. I love the UI, especially on the tuner, the ability to change the UI design from the squares to the circles. Those small touches matter.
But quick easy dependable access to a tuner could make or break for me. Ability to turn one of the available pedal slots into a one-touch-tuner is the best solution I can think of off the top of my head.

Very nice. Two functions that could be useful:
1) BPM follows MIDI tempo (with sub-devision/multiply). So you can sync it to Ableton in a live situation and it just will follow tempo changes.
2) The possibility of a reverse function on the expression pedal. So you can use the pedal to segue from one effect to another.

Midi implementation - could we please have global midi clock - then each pedal can have a the same base for its sub divisions. Distortion? Maybe. Fuzz? No. I've still not heard a decent digital fuzz. It may be useful for some, but I'd quickly recommend a cheap SF300 or something instead of TC spending time on this development.

@@corican Simple answer Jordan - ALL digital drive pedals sound crap. Adding rubbish into Plethora justs adds useless bells and whistles that get in the way and make it more complicated to use. If you want digital drives get a Line6 or Boss multi-effects pedal :)
Global tap to set tempo for all time based effects at the same time.....other than that, just start shipping it....the wait has been long enough.
TexasTunesmith It would be great to have the option to switch between personal or global tap tempo for each slot with compatible effect. This way you could sync two delays but leave a tremolo on its own tempo.

Just curious if an analog dry thru path is or will be implemented? It'd be great to have a dry thru/parallel path option. For example, in the fx loop return (post) that way in 4CM you only have 1 ad/da conversion. I also vote no on digital drives.
The Plethora X5 is a smart, well designed, and beautiful board. The addition of the looper and phaser will be a wonderful addition. The ability to tweek all the parameters for each effect via bluetooth is a dream for creators. Thank You TC Electronic for this board!

@@tomh4244 No. Midi CC would let an external controller directly control the individual pedal slots or parameters on the Plethora. The Plethora doesn't have Midi out, only thru, so it can't control other devices.
I think you need some alternative ways to trigger the tuner, that rotary control is going to break with repeated stomping. How about external footswitch in the expression socket? Or if using an expression pedal for Volume then trigger the tuner in the heel down/0 voume position - configurable though!

How about a TC Helicon VL3 kind of looper?
Fantastic demo guys! 1. Colors are cool, but it really isn't that important If it keeps costs down for the customer, I choose one color. 2. With the Compressor, we should be able to add it to one of the 5 slots (in the background), either On or Off, so as to not take up a slot. So maybe through settings it could ask us from the beginning: "With or without compressor? And there it stays. 3. Cab sim options - YES!! Don't go nuts like others adding 1,302 options, but I think the majority of us want the basics (you know what they are; those that suit the subtle to not so subtle musical styles). I like the idea of the Plethora as a workhorse, working musician's tool with the simplicities of the Mooer G200, Cerebus, etc Beyond that it gets way too technical and many of us want simplicty. That is why this thing is so attractive; think BOSS M80, but more!! 4. Distortion/Drives?? Hmm, might work, but stay focused on what you guys do well.
Just had an idea. Since this runs in stereo would be be cool to set it to mono only to save resources. Also would be cool if you're running the unit in stereo to be able to pick a pedal in your chain to run only Left channel, Right channel or both channels so you can build left channel and right channel sounds to be different.

yes please do the option to reverse the signal chain as it would integrate better with other pedals on the board, like it won't be convenient to me and probably others to have for example their Wah pedal or drive next to the delay on the Plethora

YES!!!! Please add an option for reversing the chain. It’s the thing stopping me from buying it. Some drives would be great, maybe a do it all drive like a Bluesbreaker and maybe Dist & Fuzz. Also, a clean boost of some sort. 👍👍

Alter Ego and T2 would be awesome!
Yes, overdrive and fuzz are a must. Two overdrives, actually: tweed-like and soft-clipping. Fuzz would have to be something similar to a fuzz-face, not a Muff. Also a basic clean amp simulator stomp (within the lines of the Tech21 Blonde pedal) for the cab sim to be paired with and to take advantage of overdrive and fuzz stacking. Plethora's 5 slots are perfect for blues/rock boards: Overdrive->Fuzz->Amp sim->Flashback II->Hall of Fame 2. As for now, it seems this pedalboard is geared towards a time/modulation signal chain section only, but due to its layout and size, it could be a complete guitar/bass signal chain solution. I'm very interested in the product, but there is no online manual so we can read about its complete feature set. You make great products, keep it up!
I am very happy with the quality of the pedal ... these are just points I observed using the Plethora X5 for you to improve even more Thank you! Sorry for any mistake in the spelling of English, I'm Brazilian.
1- The toneprint is not working on android, the application opens, but does not find the phone via bluetooth.
2 - as a fan of filter modulation effects, you could think of having a pedal similar to q tron + on the plethora x5 ... And of course a basic equalizer and distortion, it would be very useful ...
3 - The Tuner is not very accurate, guys ... if you can improve this and also put the function to detect all strings tune at once. This at the time of the live show helps us to be more precise to identify which note is out of tune.
4 - Do not save the effects whenever you are configuring. There are moments when we are testing some effect settings, but we don't like the changes we made and we would like to get back to the starting point. However, this is impossible at the moment, because the pedalboard is always saving changes ... it would be interesting to have the option of saving or not the changes made, in case we didn't like it and we wanted to go back to the configuration that was at the beginning of the effect .
5- Fx loop extender: When we insert the fx loop in the signal chain, there are only the options to insert it in slot 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 ... It would be interesting if we could do the sending the effects signal to the fx loops in more slots, for example 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2-4, 2-5, 3-5. To be able to send more than one effect in the signal chain to the Fx Loop.
6- Insert Bpm without tap time. Because sometimes, when we are using it in sync with keyboards and synths, we would like to put in the exact bpm of the song, then we have to keep stepping on the tap time until we find the exact bpm, which takes a lot of time, because there is no precision, it would be easier to enter this time manually. And unfortunately inserting the time manually, it only appears in ms, it should appear in bpm would also be much easier.
7- For Bassists: Option to output D.i. and with amp simulation ... As the plethora x5 has stereo output, it would be interesting to take advantage of this fact so that one of the outputs could make a signal without the amp simulation and another with the amp simulation, for the bass player being able to send the two signals to a mixer and thus being able to mix between the two outputs, as we know, it is a common technique of mixing this mix between different e and amp e that greatly improves the bass timbre.

What would be invovled in the Plethora being able to run the Spectradrive toneprints? ( specifically the Drive toneprints? )
Although I have the Triple Delay and have no problem with it going left to right, it is something that puts a big question mark over me considering the Plethora X5. So a right to left option gets my vote! Also, can the knobs be assigned to control pedal functions on the fly, without the need to dive into the settings if you want to tweak something mid song?
I asked this on the Music Tribe boards. Being able to assign one parameter (or maybe 3 like the mash button/expression) to the single knob would be great. Or, have the knobs assignable at the board level with 1 to 3 parameters each for any of the 5 pedals.
Plethora X3 sounds like a great idea - a budget-friendly model with reduced effects-blocks would be perfect for me (as long as it still has the effects loop, can have boards changed via MIDI, and has a Viscious Vibe as an available effect)
Waiting for the midi sync, it should be easy to add a very useful and basic feature: exact tempo input (bpm) with one of the knobs! Thanks!

It would be great to be able to limit the SubNuP sub octave range so, we can play bass range on E and A strings while playing chords on the top 4 strings. Boss OC-3 can do this. Plethora & SubNuP could do this as well. It would be wonderful.

I'm not a fan of full blown multi-effects units, but I like the idea here. This definitely looks like a step in the right direction. That said, I think I'll be sticking with my conventional pedals for the time being. I'm looking forward to seeing how this is supported and developed, and hoping for the best.
If nothing else, a boost/volume trim and a dedicated EQ are sorely lacking on my Plethora. You guys are nailing everything else 👏👏👏

jswpg3 i bought a flashback 2 x4 and HOF 2 x4 and I don’t think à plethora can be used as easy as these two in a live setting! Though it seems to be great for practicing and studio !
I've heard that the Plethora doesn't switch boards quickly enough via MIDI to be used during a song. It's really set up to be switched between songs. This is discussed in depth on the Music Tribe message board.
I'm looking at this as a multi fx DI for recording at home. Drives and fuzz would be great. Bass pedals, amp and cab sim would be great. An acoustic guitar pre amp would be awesome. A vocal pre amp/pre set board would great too. Really looking forward to this. Thanks for the video.

You mention working on a looper: that's great! I hope users can run 5 loopers simultaneously in various modes of interaction (free, sync, serial): that would blow something like the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler out of the water! Seriously, any ambient musician would buy it just for this feature alone!

I bought one recently and don't regret. Very useful and most effects are very high quality. But the point on top: The respect for customers and their wishes, we can see in this video. TC changed a lot in response to wishes of the buyers. Great service. Its my favorite brand now. And the analog drives have good quality. Digi-drives could destroy the reputation. Digi Drives are rarely good quality
Can you load ( 4 ) Harmony ( Quintessence ) pedals in a board, then set each one to a different key ? Can you make the footswitch Latch or momentary? The reason I ask is let's say I am playing a part that changes keys, for example. Lastly if this is possible, when you change to different pedals will the original pedal cut off or allow for some amount of ( carry over) so it doesn't sound like I just cut the last note off to get to the new key.
Is there any way I can get an answer to this question? After spending some time with the quintessence pedal, I really like it, but need more flexability with it.
How about allowing Plethora users to use the SpectraDrive (TubeDrive) toneprints?
This pedal is a game changer, a lot of room for it to evolve. Would definitely like to see the Alter Ego and T2 TonePrints on here, and maybe even the Transition TonePrints. It would also be cool to see an X3 and an X7 to meet different player demands. Would like to see you guys integrate the Crescendo auto swell into it, maybe even as a ghost pedal. And last but not least, would like to be able to run certain effects in the chain in parallel (I like run a chorus and phaser in parallel).

Mine arrived yesterday and it's great. I used the ditto x2 and letting that fill up 2 slots with the fx buttons (for dedicated stop) would crazy useful. I do a solo, full-band-sounding show and will get to try it out live in a couple weeks.

There might be a way to utilize the knobs out of edit mode, even for simple global effects like adjusting the global volume or tone coming out of the entire board. Maybe you can try looking into this?
I'd love to have a global tap tempo with an external footswitch. This is what is currently stopping me from buying the Plethora. I love TC Electronic pedals, and the MASH function is something I don't want to sacrifice over tap tempo. Yet, I don't want to get rid of it...

I'm so excited about this thing. Thanks for the great video. Two questions: 1) I have never ventured into MIDI world but this thing is making me want to. If I get a switch (e.g. Disaster Area MIDI Baby 3) will I be able to assign one of the switches to on/off the tuner (and will it mute or through the signal), and 2) Have you guys considered an option where you can name the pedal boards using characters that appear as large as the numbers (rather than what looked like sub text in this video)? It would be nice to use a MIDI switch to scroll through boards between songs that easily display large type of, say, song names, "Max Delays" "Gilmour tones"etc. Stuff like that rather than having to remember the numbers. That's the badassery I am hoping for here
