Actually looks like a good game. Surprised I've never heard of this series until now. I'm a 36 year old millennial who grew up with 16-bit games, so this reminds me a lot of my 90s childhood.
This was publicly shown at Sonic Amateur Games Expo back in 2012 I believe. It was a Sonic fan game back then, before turning into its own thing, bunch of sprites early on were just Sonic 3 based. Lilac was originally a Hedgehog herself. Much changed 3 years later when the game released.
