When I was in high school in 1984 this song was HUGE. On the school bus there was a stereo system, and our bus driver was a really cool lady in her 40’s that would play the Accept cassette this song was on and blast it. It was hilarious to see some of the parents outside when the school bus would drive down their street with metal and hard rock blasting from a huge yellow school bus full of teenagers.
Our bus driver did the same thing for us! Loved those guys! We had a sub once that was wearing a biker vest and had a long pony tail And none if us knew what go think of him. He hit a huge tree root backing up to turn around at the first stop and the whole bus rocked back and forth causing all of us in the back to let out loud WHOAS!!! He looked back in the big mirror at us was and yelled, hey man its only rock and roll! Then threw it in drive and took off with the music cranked. 😂 We knew this guy was going to be cool after that
I was 13 & saw them this tour open for somebody? Anybody remember? I was a fan of "Fast As A Shark" before this album hit. Then I heard Slayer!😅 Rock On! 🤘🌎❤
Considering the title of this song, this would be a very appropriate time to recommend the hilarious and double entendre filled "Big Balls" from the one and only AC/DC!!
Amen to that. I don't listen to a lot of Heavy Metal but my husband and daughter who is almost 16. She's been listening to that music since I was pregnant with her.
I always say that Udo Dirkschneider's voice is a cross between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson! Also, never expected this reaction to happen and I am glad that you guys did. Accept and U.D.O. gets so slept on. They're such underrated bands that I have loved since a kid.
Disagree. Udo was his own thing. I don't think he sounds at all like Bon Scott. He screamed a bit like Brian Johnson - after he lost his vocal range - maybe. Udo's voice had more in common with 80's comedian Sam Kinison.
Their 1982 song "Fast as a Shark" had some of the fastest double bass drum of it's time. It was a very influential song which paved a new way for the entire Heavy Metal genre.
In college my downstairs neighbors were jocks, who partied late into the night. I had a pretty good stereo system, and would lay the speakers face down on the floor and play Fast As A Shark at full volume…including the German hi di hi do intro. Usually they got the point and would quiet down.
I had this cassette when it came out in 1984. I stayed with my grandparents for the summer to help them out as my grandpa was legally blind due to diabetes. One day we went to the store; my grandma went in to get groceries while grandpa and I sat in the car. I popped this cassette in the tape deck and this song came on. My grandpa was sitting there listening to that heavy, epic Accept sound . . . especially that chorus. He loved music and had been a member of a male a cappella choir. All the sudden he starts singing that anthemic chorus in his soprano voice like he was singing with his choir, "Balls to the wall . . . You get your balls to the wall man!" It was so awesome! I will never forget that. He passed away four years later. Thanks J and Amber for bringing back that good memory again!
Omg finally!! Thank you for reacting to this. I’m glad y’all enjoyed it! I recommend to listen to the whole song with the lyrics. Thank you and have a bless day! 😊

Accept! Loved their music since the 80's. They have so many great songs. All classical trained musicians, which heavily influences their music and one of the pioneers of speed metal (see Fast As A Shark).
i love you. This song is pure love for all metal classic lovers. You Konw the "Helix - Wild In The Streets" a group metal classic of 80's! Great vibes!
FYI..the term "Balls to the wall" originated from world war II fighter pilots because their throttle controls had black plastic balls on top of them and when you jammed them forward that was full throttle or Balls to the wall ;) ya jus got learnt! ..✌🏻✊🏻

As a teen in the mid 80s this song was my intro to Accept. However, my first a album was "Restless and Wild". The very first song on the album is "Fast As A Shark". What an intro to an album. That'll always be my favorite Accept song. It's also considered by many to be the first speed metal song. If y'all do Accept again I really hope it's "Fast As A Shark"
LOVE seeing Rob Squad smile and get down with some classic metal. Makes me smile! Brings back my young 12 yr old excitement when I first heard it on Headbanger's Ball on MTV in the mid 80's. So glad Rob Squad is getting into deeper classic 80's metal bands!
Metal Heart has two classical pieces covered in the guitar solo. One Tchaikovskiy's Slavonic March (intro) and Beethoven's Fur Elise (main riff and solo)
I saw this band in Kingston Ontario Canada in 1986 & it was a show that I'll never forget 👍 thanks for sharing this with me , Cheers from Southeastern Ontario Canada🇨🇦 ✌️
That would be great - I would just be happy if they would do Felder's title track. There are several videos set to movie clips. Sammy Hagar's version isn't bad either.@@markv1113
Whenever I've had a less than great day at work, my ride home is often filled with Accept. Fast as a Shark, Restless and Wild, even some of their more recent work with vocalist Mark Tornillo- Blood of the Nations, Teutonic Terror- is great. We need more Accept!
This is your second German group. I could be wrong. Holy Spinal Tap, glad you got to this classic hit. They gave me AC/DC vibes. Another unique rock band would be Rose Tattoo, they did a song called "Scarred For Life" Check it out if you'd like. Krokus--Screaming In The Night is another good one.
You guys should really check out Asian metal band Loudness with their song Crazy Nights, I saw the live twice in a club in the early 80’s and they were kick ass!!!
I've asked before, and I'll keep asking. You need to check out Stryper. They are a Hair Metal band from the '80s, and are still putting out new songs. You'll love them, especially the lead singers voice.
Yet another great German power metal band! Check out "London Leatherboys", "Turn Me On", "Winter Dreams", "Losing More Than You Ever Had", and THESE selections are just the ones from the Balls To The Wall album. There are LOTS more!
Udo Dirkschneider is rock musician, vocalist and one of the founders of the heavy metal band Accept. After leaving Accept in 1987, he formed his own group U.D.O. He was born 1952 in Wuppertal in Western Germany.
Accept are absolute metal legends, not only in Germany. More recommendations from them are "Metal Heart", "Fast as a Shark", "I'm a Rebel", "Princess of the Dawn", "Flash Rockin' Man" and "Restless and Wild" And Germany has a lot of quite succesful and famous metal bands: Rammstein, Scorpions, Warlock, Kreator, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Sodom, Heaven Shall Burn, Destruction, Tankard and a lot more.
Udo Dirkschneider was Accept's original singer. He went on to have a great solo career and still is at it. As for other German bands, Scorpion and Rammstein are 2 bands that you've reacted too. Also, Helloween, Gamma Ray and Fuerschwanz might be of interest.
I saw Accept in 1985 opening for Krokus (Swedish band) at the Lloyd Noble Center. We were on the floor about 15 feet from the wall of speakers off stage left. I couldn't hear well out of that ear for about a week. This video is the short version of the song, typical of the era. Midnight Mover is another good, fast paced video of theirs.
I was stationed in Frankfurt Germany in 1983 and I got to see them live in concert. The song balls to the walls. He’s talking about the Berlin wall in the separation of Germany. They have a really great medieval song called princess of the Dawn you should check that one out.😊
My cousin introduced me to Accept like 35 years ago. Damn I forgot how much they shred and just kick serious ass. Definitely DEFINITELY going back on my music player!!
A Hurricane reaction would be cool, Hurricane, Over the Edge, It's Only Heaven, Hot and Heavy and Temptation are only the tip of the iceberg for an amazing library of songs
Kix "Blow My Fuse" or "Cold Blood"... pure kickass metal. Their better known song/ballad is " Don't Close Your Eyes". "Blow My Fuse" kicks it though... 😎😎😎😎
That was great, 100% a legendary metal classic for sure 🤟For another German band you have to do *Warlock.* Female lead singer btw, and she's dope. Queen of metal. Give _"All We Are"_ a try 🙏 Btw *Scorpions* are also German
Perfect I knew you guys would well I knew he would be banging his head but I didn't think Amber was going to be into it like she was you guys are awesome
Sadly the only German band most Americans can name is Rammstein, but other German bands: Scorpions, Accept, U.D.O., Running Wild, Grave Digger, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Sinner, Primal Fear, Powerwolf, Silent Force, Edguy, Avantasia, Blind Guardian, Orden Organ, Feuerschwanz, Saltatio Mortis, Iron Savior, Unisonic, Masterplan, Warlock, Doro, Pink Cream 69, Voodoo Circle...
Title track to their 1983 album, it has become their signature song. If you only know 1 from them ,this is it. Jay, you listened to another German metal band early on. Rammstein. Show Amber the live in Paris version of Du Hast. if you like pyro, this is the band.
I'm thinkin' it was around 83 when I seen Accept and Def Leppard open for Judas Priest, it was in Rüsselsheim Germany. Oh and it was a heck of a show it's in my top 5!
when me and several of my buddies first encountered accept live in wurzburg germany early 80's, i remember feeling Bon Scott was singing. i even suggested to hooter and ross... close your eyes..... sounds like bon. they agreed. true story.
Perhaps the ultimate "banger." Saw these guys with Motley Crue and Ozzy back in 1984...GREAT triple bill! UDO stalked the stage in his camo like a caged tiger, yelping out Balls to the Wall, London Leatherboys and Princess of the Dawn!!
Another German singer you should check out that was big in the early 80's, Nena - 99 Luft Balloons. And if you want to check out another "Balls" song try AC/DC - Big Balls.
Ya'll have done the Scorpions. They are German as well. I suggest "DA DA DA" by Trio( not metal) but a German group(1982) Would love to see ya'lls reaction to that 😂
I have such a special connection to this song! My late dad used to play this for my sister and I when we’d drive around in his truck with him as kids! I used to be a little scared of it bc there’s a part at the end, that was cut out of the video that you watched, but it always sounded like the guy grinding his teeth and that’s what my dad used to tell us 😅 I still don’t know what the sound actually is to this day haha but he used to play this the band Jackyl a lot! I was one of the people who has suggested that band to you bc of my dad, you should definitely check out more of them! Down on me, when will it rain and dirty little mind are all good!
Okay that was fun.... and you mentioned AC/DC... they have a song about Balls.... can you react to AC/DC "Big Balls" a fun song off of the Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap album with Bon Scott singing. Will give you a smile i think😊
Very cool of you to react to this great track! Not one that one would expect to be played in this format. Jay and Amber you and the RSR family have made my day! Big smiles, Thanx so much!
Udo is great in this song. Try out Fast As A Shark, and from another Accept singer Mark Tornillo Dying Breed. You should react to the group Anthrax-Indians
Hi guys definitely do a reaction to their single midnight mover off their 1985 metal heart album. Really cool video shot with circular motion cameras!!! Definitely one of the best songs Love the channel!!
Classic rock!!! I saw them in concert in 1984 at Timber Ridge in Kalamazoo Michigan. 7 total bands there. Accept, Ratt, Motley Crue, Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne and Triumph. All day concert for only $20. Those were the days!!! You should check out another song by Accept. Too High To Get It Right.
First time I ever heard this song (1983), I was sitting in my car with a few of my buddies, in the hills overlooking the SF Bay Area, with a fantastic view of Oakland and San Francisco, snacking on chips, salsa and cheese dip. ALL OF US thought (wrongly, obviously) that it was a brand-new AC/DC song!
So cool that you did Accept. I had all their albums. Probably the biggest fan in Canada. Udo, the lead singer has a classic heavy metal voice. You have to listen to his duet ballet with Doro. Dancing with an Angel. Hilarious to have a ballot song with that gravel truck voice.
A really good head banging, fist pumping song by Accept is "Teutonic Terror"! Other good classic power metal bands are Manowar, Malice, T.T. Quick, and Sanctuary.
When I was in high school in 1984 this song was HUGE. Disagree. Udo was his own thing. I don't think he sounds at all like Bon Scott. He screamed a bit like Brian Johnson - after he lost his vocal range - maybe.

Bonfire and Primal Fear are another two great ones .
More Scorpions would be great
Perfect I knew you guys would well I knew he would be banging his head but I didn't think Amber was going to be into it like she was you guys are awesome
DJ HOLLYWOOD
This band is soooo underrated. The lead singer has his own band Udo!!!
Sadly the only German band most Americans can name is Rammstein, but other German bands:
Scorpions, Accept, U.D.O., Running Wild, Grave Digger, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Sinner, Primal Fear, Powerwolf, Silent Force, Edguy, Avantasia, Blind Guardian, Orden Organ, Feuerschwanz, Saltatio Mortis, Iron Savior, Unisonic, Masterplan, Warlock, Doro, Pink Cream 69, Voodoo Circle...
Title track to their 1983 album, it has become their signature song. If you only know 1 from them ,this is it.
Jay, you listened to another German metal band early on. Rammstein. Show Amber the live in Paris version of Du Hast. if you like pyro, this is the band.
Funny that you compared them to AC/DC, I always felt the same. I was able to see them open for AC/DC back in 1985. Awesome show. Perfect pairing.
An all time metal classic!
I'm thinkin' it was around 83 when I seen Accept and Def Leppard open for Judas Priest, it was in Rüsselsheim Germany. Oh and it was a heck of a show it's in my top 5!
Make sure to check out the studio version! This is the edited version and comes up short unfortunately. This whole album rocks just like this one!
Yeah where was the plug a bomb in everyone's ass ?
Yeah! the spoken part gets left out and then idiots think they are singing about actual balls .
The polished production from Michael Wagener and Dieter Dirks really made German bands sound fantastic.
Can you checkout Meeting The Master by Greta Van Fleet! Their new album just came out and it’s awesome!
It was about East Berlin and West Germany! Great band
Princess of the dawn.
when me and several of my buddies first encountered accept live in wurzburg germany early 80's, i remember feeling Bon Scott was singing. i even suggested to hooter and ross... close your eyes..... sounds like bon. they agreed.
I am most envious! What a killer bill!
I saw that tour up in Boston Mass. 🔥🔥❤️🤘🏼
@@MikeOstrowski-iq8wf Ace! I live in NH and head down there for stuff very frequently.
Awesome band
Midnight mover is another banger from Accept
The old WWII aircrafts had ball like tops to their throttle controls... so " balls to the walls" meant full speed.
Will you review AC DC's Big Balls?
Oh yes! ACDC's Big Balls, 1976. Please put that one up cause I look forward to your expressions.😂
Original singer, Bon Scott.
Another German singer you should check out that was big in the early 80's, Nena - 99 Luft Balloons. And if you want to check out another "Balls" song try AC/DC - Big Balls.
Ya'll have done the Scorpions. They are German as well. I suggest "DA DA DA" by Trio( not metal) but a German group(1982) Would love to see ya'lls reaction to that 😂
They have done Falco as well
They’ve gotta do “Fast As A Shark” by Accept next.
Yes! One of the best songs of my high school years!!!
“Fast as a Shark” and “Restless and Wild” are awesome early 80s fast metal.
Then check out “Stand and Be Counted” by Krokus.
Also, Germany was still divided at this time. The Berlin Wall didn’t fall until 1989. Music had so much to do with it happening.
Udo is great in this song. Try out Fast As A Shark, and from another Accept singer Mark Tornillo Dying Breed. You should react to the group Anthrax-Indians
It’s been so long since I’ve heard this I don’t remember if I ever knew this wasn’t AC/DC 😏
Hi guys definitely do a reaction to their single midnight mover off their 1985 metal heart album. Really cool video shot with circular motion cameras!!! Definitely one of the best songs
Love the channel!!
Scorpions - "Still Loving You" is amazing. LOVE Accept!
Balls to the wall refers to banging your head (ball) =)
Classic rock!!! I saw them in concert in 1984 at Timber Ridge in Kalamazoo Michigan. 7 total bands there. Accept, Ratt, Motley Crue, Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne and Triumph. All day concert for only $20. Those were the days!!! You should check out another song by Accept. Too High To Get It Right.
Holy shit... you have me drooling. That must've been f'ing amazing.
I went to that all day concert on a ski hill in Michigan).
Great! And i also love Prinsess of the dawn.
The lead singer's name is udu Dirk Snyder.
Great song it.a cry to listen to the music sounds great live band
Was wondering when you were going to listen to Accept! Check out Warlock ,Doro and MSG too!
A really good head banging, fist pumping song by Accept is "Teutonic Terror"! Other good classic power metal bands are Manowar, Malice, T.T. Quick, and Sanctuary.
Metal Heart and/or Midnight Mover are killer tunes from Accept!
