I clicked so fast on this one y’all!!! Krokus is definitely the most underrated metal band of the 80zzzzz….this song is so anthemic & dramatic. The video is awesomely ridiculous too!!! Marc Storace probably has the coolest voice in metal. Try their version of “Ballroom Blitz” 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Saw this video on headbangers ball went out and bought the cassette the next day great album remember driving around in my 1st car 1973 amc germlin jamming this
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song. I watched MTV be born and this is one of the earliest MTV vids to exist during its infancy and will always bring back those days to me when I hear it!
@@RobertJuzstoneyes, long stick goes Boom 💥! This was my introduction to Krokus! I thought they sounded like AC/DC at the time. Also, anything from the Headhunter album!
This shows why ACDC contacted Marc as a possible replacement for Bon Scott after Bon passed away. Marc turned it down because Krokus had their second big hit in the U.S. and he was happy with the way things were going.
Love Krokus! They were so good in the 80s. “Eat the Rich”, Midnight Maniac” “Headhunter”, “Let This Live Begin” are bangers! Singer Marc Storace was amazing!
They didn't break in the USA till this, their 7th album. The title song " headhunter" was the heaviest thing AOR radio had played as of 83. Metal Rendezvous in 1980, got some love too. It was the first with Marc Storace. " lady double dealer" is played in the 2014 movie " gone girl"

"I found her lying lifeless, dagger through her heart I picked her up and held her high and I swore to be avenged" One of the Classic lines from the Classic Rock era.
Marc Storace and Krokus! Saw them when this album came out! ( 82) This and Def Leppard Photograph were all over MTV about the same time. Next " Eat The Rich".
Another killer 80's band that not alot of people have heard of. Try the Bullet Boys "Smooth up in ya" next. You won't be disappointed. The singer carries a note out at the end that is reminiscent of the dude in that Sheriff song. You'll trip on it.

Classic stuff. Marc Storace can bring it! "Long Stick Goes Boom" is great, but my favorite is "Eat the Rich". There are three songs with this title, all different (Krokus and one by Motorhead and one by Aerosmith), but Krokus was first and IMO the best.
I met them at a signing in a department store in Ohio in 1984! Still have their autographs in my Krokus album! Try "Long Stick Goes Boom" and "Headhunter"!
Krokus!! Awesome song. Great pick! If you want some great 80s rock.... "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" by Night Ranger. It has an amazing guitar solos and the vocals are absolutely awesome!! Forever - Y and T. j/a this was another great song from another great hairband from the early 80s. Very confident both of you will like this song. It’s like a gallop sound. Love to see you react to it and thanks for this great reaction!
Y & T was definitely not hair Metal. they released their first album in 76. Under the name Yesterday And Today. Their 2nd album Struck Down came out in 78. Both real good Hard Rock albums. In fact, their first album is one of the best debut albums from the 70s. After these two albums, they changed their name to Y & T. Forever is a Great song. Hurricane is Y & T at their most Rocking.
My dad loved this song, he would describe what he saw through the singers eyes and it was so epic to him…thank you for bringing back a great memory of him 🖤
He turned down the opportunity to audition for the band. At the time he wasn't fond of being compared to Bon Scott. These days he looks at the comparison differently.
Post apocalyptic or fantasy settings were common due to the popularity of Conan the Barbarian and Mad Max. Tom Petty's "You got lucky" is a good example of the latter, cool video and great song.
Ballroom Blitz and Midnight Maniac was the label pushing then to become more pop metal which killed their career in the US Eat The Rich 💯 From same album as Screaming in the Night
I love this song, great group! Always thought this video was so cool, never forget it from back in the 80s on MTV! Oh MTV, when you could just watch one music video after another, those were the days! 😂 Love you guys!!❤

The production on this track is amazing. Especially for a metal song in the 80's when producers were notorious for piling on tons of reverb and no bottom end this was a masterful job of recording done rtght
YES I have waited forever for y'all to do this song! I saw them in Charlotte North Carolina that open for Sammy Hagar they did this song and I fell in love with it one of my top 5 favorite song
Lead singer Marc Storace (pronounced sto-RA-chi) is a certified lion lungs who was considered for the frontman spot in both AC/DC and Rainbow. Krokus as a band is a certified European metal legend, with a plethora of anthemic classics like "Long stick goes boom", "Headhunter", "Bedside radio", "Easy rocker", "Burning up the night", "Midnite maniac", "Eat the rich", "Tokyo nights" - to name but a very few from their 80s heyday. But the band have actually perforned stellarly even in their old age. One of my personal favorites is their 2006 "Hellraiser" album, featuring at least two masterpiece songs: "Angel of my dreams" (basically "Screaming in the night part 2" and "Spirit of the night" (basically "Headhunter" part 2, as in a speed demon metal MONSTER).
Such a great song! The video is, of course, classic 80's cheese. I'm glad I was there for all that cheesy imagery during the first years of MTV. It was such a great time to be a kid.
i am glad you finally got to this band. the scene where he walks on the counter was used by MTV all the time back in the day as their identification montage. along with the bass riff intro to Megadeth peace sells.
I got to meet the band when they played at a small rock club in Houston in 2015. Been a fan of theirs since high school! Also check out, "Our Love", "Stayed Awake All Night" and "Ballroom Blitz".
The singer is Marc Storace (pronounced sto-RAH-see) and he's joined here on the chorus by Jimi Jamison of Survivor fame. Very underrated band. Marc is THE quintessential voice for metal. Bar none. And Krokus always had top notch guitarists that'll give you goose bumps -- the late Tommy Kiefer, Chris Von Rohr, and Fernando Von Arb -- totally electrifying. Be sure to check out "Eat The Rich" (you two will LOVE that one), "Headhunter", "Bedside Radio", "Ready To Burn" (with Rob Halford), "Backseat Rock And Roll", "Tokyo Night", and the unforgettable "Fire" ... 😊
When punk began to rage in the UK in the mid-70s and dominated the rock music scene, including in the media, many big European bands had to react. The hard rockers in particular tried to survive with tours in the USA and apparently made good money, including Def Leppard, Judas Priest..., but also the Dutch band Golden Earring (I love them a lot); Scorpions from Germany and Krokus from Switzerland ... . In their own country Krokus had their first radio hit in 1980 with the rocking Bedside Radio from the album Metal Rendez-Vous. Tip: Eat The Rich from the same album Headhunter 1983, from the predecessor Long Stick Goes Boom.💥
I’ve been waiting for this one Such a great 80s metal band still going If I’m not mistaken So many great songs the entire The Blitz album is full of rockers Midnight Maniac, Our Love, and Hot Stuff to name a few The album “Change Of Address” is a masterpiece of 80s Rock
Krokus is a killer band. Very underrated. Should check out album version of this song. Video version shortened the song. Video is part two, part one was a song called eat the Rich. Also a great song. Our love, ballroom blitz, long stick goes boom. All great songs
Krokus has a bunch of great songs such as “ Eat the Rich” or “Long Stick Goes Boom” or “Ballroom Blitz” or “Stayed Awake All Night” “Headhunters” …. On and on
One of my all time favorite groups. Krokus is still killing it but I would have to use my passport to see them. I wore out a couple cassettes of multiple albums.
Krokus has a huge catalog of great songs including everything on the Headhunter and Change of Address albums as well as most songs on One Vice at a Time. Also Midnite Maniac, Ballroom Blitz, Our Love, Too Wired to Sleep…
Glad to see you diving into Krokus! One of my favorites growing up. I really thought that when Tommy Keifer passed (great feel guitar player; that solo on Tokyo Nights is ridiculous) that they were going to have problems, but then Fernando von Arb came along, and they never missed a step. Marc Storace is an amazing vocalist. He was approached at one point to replace Bon Scott in AC/DC, but turned them down. Many have said that was a mistake, but there is something to be said for making music with the people you vibe with most strongly - he doesn't regret it. Other great suggestions here, but their cover of BTO's "Stayed Awake All Night" I would highly recommend. Turn that up loud! :)
I'm absolutely stunned that this is y'alls first time reacting to Krokus. There for awhile in the 80s they were very popular. I got to see them in '83 or '84 in concert when my best friend surprised me with concert tickets. Great concert! I think Accept was the opening act, but I can't remember for sure. What can I say? I'm old.😂
Saw Krokus perform at the Reading Rock Festival 1980 in the UK. They were really good. I remember a fan climbed the stage side scaffolding and got on the roof/lighting gantry during their set. I thought the guy was going to fall and die, but thankfully he didn't. Never heard this song. The video is giving me a Conan the Barbarian/Mad Max vibe.
Most of the time I recall every song you react to by title but, there are definitely times I have either never heard the song or didn't recall it until the music started. Those times I either learn a new song or I'm glad you reminded me of one. I'm not saying this band is a one hit wonder and I do remember this song however, blanking out on others they did.
Lead singer Marc storage has appeared in two "B" movies - Anuk and Anuk 2 . Anuk 2 also saw German metal queen Doro Pesch make her acting debut as well.
Wow great choice! another one of my favs I was hoping you would discover.. Underrated is an understatement. This band just pours their heart and souls into their songs. There sound is a driving force with lead singer Marc Storace power vocals leading the way. “ Try “ Stay Awake All Night”, “ American Woman” and “ Eat The Rich “… if you like classic heavy metal this group is one to add to your fav playlists. You have to listen to the long version.. please do❤

Our Love, Eat the Rich, Midnight Maniac, and Headhunter are some songs by Krokus you may want to check out. I saw them once in the 80's. Great band!
Headhunter is a must if you want to hear Krokus go hard. Their cover of American Woman is probably the best cover of that song ever.
Their biggest hit was Midnight Maniac. Definitely an underrated band
Midnight Maniac is terrible
This song was blasting in every house party in the early 80's.
Singer’s name is Marc Storace. Great early 80’s band.
Thanks you two for doing Krokus. Long stick goes boom is another legendary song
I'm old.😂
I am sooooooooo happy u guys get this…the world’s just got better, don’t stop, we will ❤ all need it
Wow….. “Krokus” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 seen them with Judas Priest in 1986 🔥❤️🎸 this whole album is 🔥🔥🔥
OMG!!!!!AWESOME!!!!!...Classic 80s Metal...great song.
1980’s seen Krokus and Sammy Hagar “I can’t drive 55” what a night 🔥 🎸 🍻
In the same category, it's time to listen to the song "Mean Streak" from the group 'Y&T'
From their album headhunter which I still have in my record collection today has a lot of fun songs on it good stuff. Thanks
This song was a favorite of mine for many, many years.
i seen this concert in sanberbino ca in 87 kicked butt still
So glad you picked a Krokus song, this is by far my favorite song of theirs.
Stayee Awake All Night.. Our Love and Ball Room Blitz are some other songs of theirs that are bangers.. glad you liked it..
OMG I grew up with this song in the 80s They even played it at my 6th grade dance, and I am almost 50 now lol Nice guys
This song rocks…and their live version of this is remarkable…just as good.
You have to listen to the long version.. please do❤
CLASSIC.. this album SLAPS
Saw these guys 4 or 5 times back in the early to mid 80’s. They were always great, live! Gotta hit, Long Stick Goes Boom 🤘🏼
Great song, great band...Krokus - Stayed awake all night is another good one.
Another great video & song by Krokus is Our Love Will Never Die.
