The best exhaust note of any TT. I have had a 2005 3.2 Quattro DSG SLine for 17 years. Best car I’ve ever owned. The exhaust note is elegant and understated when driving normally, and when driving in Sport, or with the paddle shifters, it makes itself heard, but without being annoying to everyone else on the road. Just perfect. Love that VR6.
Agreed. Much prefer the Mk1 over the Mk2 that I also later bought. The Mk1 has a butterfly valve in the last box. It’s closed at slow stuff, and opens up soon after. It’s a suction pipe you can pull off, so the valve is always open - but the car runs worse, as Audi map it correctly. Yamaha did a similar thing with the Exup. It allows a wider and responsive power band. No need for an aftermarket on the Mk1 in my opinion.
