@@thegames4565 And when you need to kill stuff?
@@M4x_P0w3r if your playing a speech only run your not KILLING anything at all if theirs an enemy you run away and unlike skyrim NEARLY EVERY ENEMY YOU TALK TO lets you talk your way out of fighting them so fallout is the best example of speech only class dummy
The pin-point accurate portrayal of Guildford High St has instantly earned you a new sub.
I did not expect this to resonate with so many people.
"subscribe and you'll get absolutely nothing" you sure are convincing, good sir, I'll gladly follow you everywhere
I would love to see you revisit this with the Ordinator perk overhaul mod, it actually makes the speech skill useful, including having speech level with dragon shouts and having the ability to legitimately use the skills you get at the bards college to play an instrument for money and small trinkets and being able to use your music to force enemies to uncontrollably dance instead of fighting you.
That sounds like a mod that I need to have.
In a game as broad as Skyrim you could’ve never expected a deep and meaningful speech system, not only does that NOT appeal to the normie crowd (30+ million sales thank you very much) but also that would cost a lot more development money. And even effort, which is terrifying. Now, buy the Supreme Dragoncuck re-triple-release of Skyrim coming out this Christmas on your digital fridge.
...
!!!
I gotta look into that. Speech level influencing shouts is brilliant.
that seems like it would be missing the point a little though. this video is about Skyrim not about things you could do to Skyrim to make it less bad
@@Graknorke nah, it would be nice to have it for contrast, along side with this video
This had GOT to be my favorite "can you beat skyrim" video Ive ever seen
The subtler jokes were what I loved most about this video.
"These mercenaries had fee fi fo fucked around and were about to fee fi fo find out"
😂🤣😭
Honestly as the end approached I thought this was going to take a twist and be like "Aha! I said by only using speech and by absorbing this dragon's soul I have gained the power of the voice!" but I still liked the way it ended
I enjoy the thought of a traveling merchant with a super bodyguard going around Skyrim making absurd amounts of wealth.
Then later parting ways when the merchant can live out his dream and the super bodyguard must complete his destiny.
Perhaps one day they reunite and have some mead recounting tales of their adventures together?
14:46 The imposter joke leading into the "among as-orted" joke was top teir and i didn't see anyone else mention it, so well done 😂
The hidden "amongus" @14:44 was a masterclass in wordplay, leveling his speech up to 200 instantly.
the giant encampment bit had me in fucking tears at work! thank you!
The return we've been waiting for 🙏
"They were imposters but there's nothing funny about that."
*proceeds to forcefully insert the phonemes of "among us" right into next sentence*
Welcome back! Skyrim's such a fun game. Fun to see you playing it!
Top narrating sir, Guilford and fox hunting bit had me in stitches xD
your comedy and delivery of jokes is very well done, as well as the challenged themselves! I love seeing people do challenge runs of games
What a lovely critique/story of a Speech playthrough in Skyrim :D
I love the commentary on the game. It's a wonder how it got to be so popular sometimes, with it's award-winning roleplaying and totally-useful-definitely-not-worthless skills and perks.
I particularly like how there are virtually no persuasion checks in the entire game, and like 4 of those are impossible to ever succeed at - even with 100 speech and relevant perks...
I'd personally love to see more Skyrim videos if possible too.
also I love how you’re pointing out the repetitiveness of Skyrim in a backwards sort of way, it’s hilarious
Bless this absolute Demi-god I didn't even remember speech was a skill in game
Bethesda forgot too.
@@GamesOnHardMode: I personally think that they've never been able to write a good roleplaying game, but Fallout 4 and Skyrim showed us few who did pay attention how little they care while Fallout 76 cemented how bad they are at writing stories to the general public.
Tim Cain led me here and boy I'm glad I checked this out.
Oh I’m so happy you’re not dead, I love your content, sometimes I listen to your videos as I sleep, your voice is just super calming.
I love how you eventually become a side character in Stenvarr's Dragonborn Hero story. Damn, speech could've been so cool...
If you accept brynjolf’s job, if you literally just wait you’ll fail the quest but he’ll still let you into the thieves guild for some reason
Speech level 100 -
“ Cold as a tango ice blast, but not nearly as sweet ”
Challenge set aside, the script for the video is phenomenal!
💯
i forgot i'd watched this back in the day and already liked it. watched it again. it's very entertaining.
especially liked the nominative determinism and guildford references even though it made me feel shamefully middle class that i got them.
Thanks for your kind comments ❤
Remember to check the description for links to my Twitch and my VOD channel.
Good video mate. You did a great job at prodding at skyrim's weaknesses without being whiny about it. Well done!
Damn, I didn't think I would here Guildford Highstreets get mentioned in any video but here I am on a Skyrim video.
Silly videos like this are important when it feels like the world is on fire sometimes. Thanks for making it
After much consideration, I have decided that this is my favorite video of yours so far. Superb!
I loved every part of this video, but Stenvar being the dragonborn was the best, what a twist 💕
What an amazing video. A neat challenge with tons of game play packed into one video and edited into an entertaining format, with an amazing script with tons of little references. One of the best made videos on UA-cam I've seen in a long time
can you do more of these with only using one skill, make a whole series. the story telling in this is sooo good! keep it up
Subscribed a few minutes in, I love when I come across someone truly witty!
I've been subbed since the Sims 4 video and made a point of watching every single video immediately after. You're THAT good at making these. Keep it up!
Your ‘please subscribe’ sales pitch got me ngl
15:22 Hark! 'Tis Mambo the Fifth
I'm dead
This was a good story. I like it.
I’ve never seen anything from you before this was suggested, but MAN was that entertaining to watch! I loved how Strenvar was the Dragonborn of your story
best skyrim lets play I ever watched!
Roleplaying as the manager of the dragonborn aka Stenvar
This was SOOOOO GOOD.
One of the best Skyrim stories I've ever heard.
This was so much more interesting than what I expected from the title.
This is actually incredible. I hope Richard has some more adventures in the future.
Amazing work documenting the life of this Richard fellow. He sounds like a good lad.
"Richard was now dressed for the job he wanted: owning of property"
I loved how you made this a compelling narrative
I love your vids man, glad to see another one up pop-up in my feed
"Fee Fi Fo Fucked Around" and "Fee Fi Fo Find Out" was chefs kiss
You have a criminally low number of subscribers. This video is funnier than most challenge runs I've seen from channels with 100 times more subs. Great stuff.
"Chekhov's gem"
You earned this subscription
I love this idea for a video. Hopefully Starfield will help produce more like these
This is properly funny. Sat pissing myself at the thought of you (Stenvar) ending the lives of 350 wizards just to sell their robes and how long that might have taken.
Awesome story!!! Wonderful game playing!! Loved this!!!
Not gonna lie, it's a wonderful video, a beautiful story.
Pringles is a great name for a Horse.
This is really well made, subbed
What a great video. Really compelling script writing, good story and the occasional rant about the game being pretty shallow in terms of interacting with the world. Super well done, got yourself at least one more sub.
imagine being that thalmor agent and having to explain to your superior how a man you were tasked to bring in for questioning fucking DIED by a mudcrab XD
There is absolutely no way you don’t have more than 100k subs, it’s a crime by how high effort these are and extremely enjoyable. I hope you blow up soon and would love to see more, made me laugh very hard
So many years later, and prime content is still being made.🔥
Welcome back
Srsly this was amazing I loved the economy jokes, I'd love to see more of those Skyrim stories
The return of the king
“Reeling from almost fatal embarrassment” 😂😂😂
Loved the bashing of Skyrim's hallow speech system haha. They managed to make it even more bland than Oblivion's wheel minigame.
I unironically enjoyed the wheel.
The wheel wasn't bland at all. I would grind that shit just for fun.
The Oblivion potato people's expressions changed faster than my high school art teacher in that speech wheel game
I literally subbed because you said it's good for your numbers and we get nothing. That's the best pitch I ever heard. The commentary is just first class. When you talked about the petition to ban fox hunting I sprayed my sparkling water all over the bed
Welcome Back
Number 2 comment. Sorry man the first spot was taken.

The Guildford high street reference took me off guard 😂 true though.
a great story as always
My favourite skill tree.
With it you can buy everything you need: staves, scrolls, potions and poisons; you can be a master wizard all based on coin.
Great to see a fun challenge run executed so well. I hadn't realised Speech had been reduced *that* badly :P
You created a great story with Richard Rich and Stenvar Protagson, perfect moral ending :D
Oh my gawd the joke of the dark brother hood quest had me rolling 😭💀
