Hey everybody! For those asking about the wallpapers: "Electric Matrix Live Wallpaper" is the first one that shows up at 0:20. It's available in the Play Store. "Device Info Live Wallpaper" is the one with all the sensor data; it's also available in the Play Store. The others are from the app "Backdrops," also available in the Play Store, or they're preinstalled OnePlus wallpapers.
Arturo Luna thats part of the appeal! The fact that he sounds from the Mad Men era! And the video production is just so good , it doesn't need to be that good for a mobile review, but its fkn outstanding!!
No war, cold or hot. And who the hell is "James?" :) (I left Pocketnow back in March and MrMobile is my new venture, in partnership with Mobile Nations. Welcome!)
Only things i miss is the additional battery (not that big of a deal) and the improved stabilization. Hope they bring this to the OP3 as well, since it's just improved software and the Snapdragon 820 should be capable of handling it.

Well, I don't think it's a greedy move, but I am disappointed nonetheless. When the company started a few years back with it's flagship phone, the OnePlus One, they promised two very important things that pulled me into the OnePlus ecosystem. Quick software updates and reasonable pricing. The first one I wouldn't blame totally on OnePlus cause they probably were confident cause they thought Cyanogen would be supportive. The second one? Well this year they broke that too. Two price hikes in one year isn't really very nice. The first jump from the OnePlus 2 to the OnePlus 3. Now from the OP3 to the 3T. Yeah maybe it's a more refined phone, maybe it adds up to the experience blah blah blah. But the OnePlus 3 really didn't have any major issues (besides battery life) to begin with. Aah. I don't know. I wished they wouldn't follow the smartphone "trend" of releasing two phones a year. Well at least not them. Cause it really breaks the trust a consumer like me places on a company. Maybe that's what their slogan meant. 'Never Settle' over one phone.
Mohammed Yasin OnePlus may not release two flagship next year because they said that OnePlus 3T was a situational phenomenon. So it's not 100% sure that they will release a Oneplus 4T.
TheHermitArcana It be called OnePlus 5 for the next phone. they're skipping 4, because it's considered bad luck or something. Anyway, I'm still rocking with my OnePlus One Cyanogen OS. I'm still waiting on a Android smartphone phone like Maru OS that comes out of the box. Side-loaded with a Linux (with micro SD and removable battery support). But I don't see anything like that yet. Here's another year with my OnePlus One in 2017.
Somehow, The God and Lord of UA-cam, the algorithm, decided that I should watch this again. Even years have past from those times. Meaby, in some distant future, the algorithm will reunite me with a comment of a younger self. Greetings, humans. And remember: wear your masks, and stay mobile my friends.
Qualcomm itself says that the SD821 is only 10% faster than the 820. I doubt that you will subjectively feel a 10% difference. Also thanks for bringing attention to the steady price climb that Oneplus has been doing. That's what concerns me most about where the company is going. Anyway, for now I'm perfectly satisfied with my OP3. Whether a future phone will be a Oneplus will depend on how far they're willing to push their prices before you might as well take the leap to something in Samsung's price tier.
Yep, it's less about a raw speed improvement and more about specific optimizations. Boot time definitely seems faster, for example, and there are enhancements to the camera viewfinder and image processing due to the new ISP.
Another A+ review, thanks Michael! Out of curiosity, I rarely see reviewers mention if a device is developer-friendly (unlockable bootloader, SOC with sources, etc.). Not that I need that info myself as I usually know what are the no-go devices in that matter, but it could be nice/useful to highlight that custom ROMs can be easily installed on the Android mobile/tablet you're reviewing. Is this oversight intentional or do you reckon it is too "nichy" for common users? Cheers!
Yeah, most of all it's an audience targeting thing. Custom ROM and bootloader stuff is just too granular for the folks I'm trying to reach with MrMobile videos. Also there's very limited time in any given video, so that factors in as well.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] This is a very good review, as always! Big time fan here, I never commented before, but I followed your work since your pocket now days. But this time I need to comment, and I think that you will find this is kind of interesting. The "battery bump" is actually a lie, and every correctly design battery test can verify this (like those simple play the same video for an half an hour tests). The batery component used is actually the same one on the one plus 3 (as confirmed by xda) , they just increased the nominal (normal working) voltage. This results in bigger numbers because the miliamp-hour unit does NOT indicate the actual charge that a battery can hold, it just indicates the energy transfer rate of the battery (this is a very common marketing strategy). To measure actual stored energy the manufacture should used Watt-hour or Joules, but they don't. So, in this case the one plus 3T batery life will be mostly the same has the one plus 3, and any marginal differences are due to software optimizations to hardware drivers for example. Who said that the one plus marketing team is bad hey? XD
You know what's crazy? I can confirm this. They mentioned the voltage bump in a briefing and I stupidly didn't press them on it. Funny thing though: I have gotten measurably better battery life out of the 3T vs the 3, so there are indeed some software optimizations doing their thing (maybe in concert with some honing of the 821 despite its higher clock speed but that seems unlikely).
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] the battery life is amazing on these. it's always nice to have one less thing to charge every night. Pebble is definitely underrated
Finally someone appreciating the Pebble watches!! I've got the Pebble Classic for over a year now, battery still lasts about 5 days with moderate usage, design is a little understated but I really do like it (especially the unusal e-paper display :D)!!
Hello Michael I'm honestly a big fan of your videos. You know the thing which sets you apart from other video producers is the awesome, genuine and specific content or review you speak about the products. Your selected info is by far always the best
To be frank, I would've liked to see this in June 2017 with Snapdragon 830/835, even better cameras and more importantly, Nougat but I might be wrong in that one.
Speaking of Snapchat, you think their executives will finally sign off on making their Android app acceptable now that Instagram is trying to push into their "stories" market?
Watching this on my IPhone SE. I have always used Android and just fancied a swap to iOS to see what it was all about . Swapping from an LG G4 to the SE was a bit of a shock to begin with but quickly got used to it . I don't have a preference of IOS or android anymore but I still love watching all the android phone reviews.
Were can we find that wallpaper on the phone in the begining the one with the matrix type feel?? And from someone who still cant get over turning in there Note 7 would this One Plus 3 T help with the pain?? Lol I loved that damn Note 7!!!! Oh and once again Mr. Mobile a great video:)
Peter Larson Thank you brother! Sence I'm working Thanksgiving thats double time & a half at my job so I still havent found a phone to take my beloved Note 7 spot but with my extra cash I'm going for this phone!! Thanks again for the advice my brother.
Absolutely ! If you had note 7 that means the galaxy s7 or the edge isn't your cup of tea. The 3t has great battery with all the goodness that oneplus 3 had, probably the best phone for the money, would recommend it over any other android phone, and yeah especially pixel, i have the note 5, topped that with a custom rom ,runs perfectly and the note 7 feel is real ,means the note 5 isn't a poor option either.
Created a new account in aliexpress and received a coupon for $30 Then I registered at this cashback service and activated the promo code at 10.5% cashback - epngo.bz/cashback_joinusnow/dwftws And bought with a coupon and with a cashback P.S. - You could buy with a double cashback before, but now it does not work anymore and it will cost more than $330
I just picked mine up Tuesday and I love it. Especially the battery. OMG, this battery. I work 12 hour shifts at my boring job, meaning all I do is watch youtube/Netflix on my phone. Like a solid 10 hours of screen on and streaming time. 6 hours into orange is the new black and I'm still at 41% on the battery with the phone saying I've got 4 hours more expected battery life.
Can you go more in to detail about the Snapchat Quality? There is circulating skepticism regarding the quality and performance of Snapchat on the Oneplus 3T? Is this true?
Said pretty much all there is to say in the video; the 3T delivers a better Snapchat experience than any of the other Android phones I used alongside it during the test period, with the possible exception of the Pixel.
I remember you started off with OnePlus 3 review video and when they another video you're already at a great height now..Hard work pays off man.Btw great review once again :)
i'd watch anything with mr.mobile in it. even a coconut review. Such is his greatness. i wish you reach 5m subscribers cuz you are better than MKBHD or any tech reviewer on YT.
I also just bought the 3. But hey it's alright. The difference is not that big and I'm happy with the lower price. Also, coming from a Moto G 2013 the performance is so stellar, there's nothing left to wish for.
I completely agree with you, I bought the axon 7 once it released and like it so much , even more than the S7, performance is superb, amazing display quality, those speakers o my as well as the Dac for the headphones is fantastic, and lastly great battery life, camera still performs well enough for shots being posted with filters. I would say is the best phone of 2016 as far as overall package.
flybriur YES!!! I love my AXON 7 and you can't beat the price if ur an audiophile!!! ALSO THAT WARRANTY THAT COMES WITH IT!!! Better than the OP3T in my opinion :)
Brady Snelgrove and you should read all the reviews people have had with customer service and actually using passport. I cancelled my order after not having the phone two weeks after I was supposed to and reading about the warranty process problems. I'm not really interested in them holding a full phone charge for every exchange plus the 79 dollar passport charge. Especially since I cancelled my order two weeks ago and still have not been refunded.
Hey Michael Fisher, love ur videos and especially love this kind of music u have put under this video. Makes it even more fun to watch! Big thumbs up and greetings from Germany! :)
My fellow Beantown guy, love your reviews. You and I both share the love for Moto and op version's of android. I have one question. Op3t or Moto z (not play)?
Mr. Mobile: I am struggling to upgrade my phone from my current HTC One M8 to one of the three HTC 10, Pixle XL, and OnePlus 3T....disregard to the price, could you please let me know your opinion? thanks and thanks for great review videos!
I don't know if you guys remember but Samsung Galaxy S2 was also around 400$ at launch and here we are at 850$ for note 7. Oneplus will soon be there in that price range
I've come to prefer the Pixel because I like being on the very bleeding edge, but that's just personal preference. I'd still recommend the OnePlus 3T to someone who wants great software, as long as they're cool with waiting a bit longer for updates. As for cameras: each has its ups and downs.
The same thing happened with Asus with their price hikes from Zenfone 2 to 3 ($299 flagship to $499 flagship Deluxe). The budget phone goalposts keep moving. I guess you could say that the Axon 7 and Idol 4S are still classified as flagship budget phones for under $400. OPO 3T still appears to be the flagship killer but it's moving towards high end budget phone range
Atif Ghafoor I know that they had to slightly increase their prices after brexit, but why Oneplus think it's fine to use an almost 1:1 pound to dollar ratio is beyond me.
aarav BIKER I am glad to hear that, would you recommend buying that in 2018, 5/5T isn't an option for me yet they are super good, you know..budget.. if I find any 3Ts should I buy it? Game performance matters the most for me.
Good job as always. Was hesitant to consider "lower tiered" phones because I like a good OS like Motorola and HTC (and no I don't like to flash custom ROM) so your thumbs up to Oxygen OS is a big thing in this review. 😊
So I decided to go with this phone for my yearly phone upgrade. Being that I'd no longer buy phones from carriers. I'm very happy with this phone. I limited myself to a $500 limit which included accessories which seemed to be just fine being that 64 gigs is all that I really need and because I am not a big camera phonetic. I don't take a lot of pictures I leave that up to the wife. I'm more of a gamer and Tech phonetic so the extra RAM and higher end processor means more to me than camera quality it does fine when I need to snap a quick pic. I'm really looking forward to see what OnePlus has to come in their next iteration. I would also like to say thanks for your great phone reviews it helps me and find and recommend a great phone since I seem to be the goto guy for tech advice within my circle.
Hey Michael! Every youtuber says its the best in the 400$ category, but in my eyes, it seems even better than S7 and LG v20...Or even pixel xl... Am i missing something :P ?
Hi Michael. How's bluetooth on this one? Because on the former model, it was really bad. only one device at the time, and no way to connect it to my car properly...Thanks for all your videos, the tone is spot on!
Hello Captain, great review. One suggestion: I like that you "Let the pictures speak for themselves for a second", but I'd find it helpful if you could add some more information to the pictures, at least ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture. That would make the pictures in each review comparable :)
Best android phone at the moment. Front facing camera for Snapchat or selfies is amazing. Battery life is so strong. I get 7 or even 8 hours of screen on time everyday. And so powerful.
Solomon's Tech Hello I am Ganah king willing to share my generosity with the internet. If you give me your credit card number and pin, and your address, I will ship a oneplus 3T to you in a day!
I know this is an older review, but I've got a question regarding the microphone when recording video - how does the sound quality stack up against other smartphones? I've heard some people complain about the mic but would like to know your thoughts a few months down the line.
TCTrond I have a Moto X Style, and I came from a Moto G 2nd gen. And I really wish they went with a 1080p screen. Not because of bad performance, this phone is really fast despite it being released almost 2 years ago. But the battery life is kinda meh compared to my old Moto G, despite the Moto X having a 50% bigger battery. If they'd stuck with a 5.2 inch display and 1080p, this would have way better battery life I think.
I'm loving my Axon 7 with 128GB and 6GB ram. I've had OnePlus 1,2,x, and now I've switched. I've wanted dual speakers forever! and now, I also get a 2year included warranty, and a QHD screen that doesn't compromise the battery life. Also! the MiFavor user interface is ugly and I dislike it, so I use Nova Launcher, from the play store, and it's just as awesome as my OnePlus phones. Lastly, the backlight buttons are missed very much, and the MiPop feature helps, but they need to include back lights next year, definitely. Also, the finger print is very accurate and fast, and for anyone that disagrees, then I recommend deleting and reprogramming you finger print. Maybe you didn't scan the edges if your fingertips enough, or you didn't scan your print with casual hand holding angles.
Dope Bass that's personal opinion, I actually think the opposite (I thought the regular version was better before and now the t version makes it a lot better)
I can imagine how often you might have heard this before.. you are one of the best reviewer of all times..perfectly structured review with the best comments at the right time..
have loved the One plus phones. Still ise the One + 1 sometimes but really can't justify the move to One + 2 or 3 for the moment.. GS7 edge the other phone I use seems a tad faster even compared to the One + 3... Thank you for the crisp and insightful reviews Michael. I'm a fan of your channel.. I do wonder as to why you gave up on the Pocketnow team.. Just curious. wishing you the best.
Hi Michael, this might seem as a rather goofy question, but if you had to choose right now, would you take the OnePlus 3T or the Nexus 6P? I'm interested in both and cant really decide. Thanks for your feedback in advance.
Thanks GuuzakaTube I want a stock Android experience, but I don't want to wait for the updates. I'm not familiar with OnePlus's speed with updates, but I can only imagine it's as slow as the rest.
Had I known about this before purchasing the OP3...maybe I would've went for it [mostly the 128 gb option - cuz music, photos and media junkie/hoarder]. Still, I've had the OP3 for a week now and I'm still impressed. Meh, great review [as always] dude. Keep up the great work.

2019: Still Not
2020: Have some Patience
2021: Okay once again
Speaking of Snapchat, you think their executives will finally sign off on making their Android app acceptable now that Instagram is trying to push into their "stories" market?
One would hope.
I just love how slim it is compare to newer phone now, and i still miss my 5t even though i have the latest android flagship.
John Merced I think it would be a great replacement. But thats me.
Peter Larson Thank you brother! Sence I'm working Thanksgiving thats double time & a half at my job so I still havent found a phone to take my beloved Note 7 spot but with my extra cash I'm going for this phone!! Thanks again for the advice my brother.
John Merced You are very welcome.
John Merced Electric Matrix Live Wallpaper, he commented, it should be on top
Absolutely ! If you had note 7 that means the galaxy s7 or the edge isn't your cup of tea. The 3t has great battery with all the goodness that oneplus 3 had, probably the best phone for the money, would recommend it over any other android phone, and yeah especially pixel, i have the note 5, topped that with a custom rom ,runs perfectly and the note 7 feel is real ,means the note 5 isn't a poor option either.
I bought OnePlus 3T for $330 and I'm insanely happy !!!
Kirill Fry. WHERE!!!????
Created a new account in aliexpress and received a coupon for $30
Then I registered at this cashback service and activated the promo code at 10.5% cashback - epngo.bz/cashback_joinusnow/dwftws
And bought with a coupon and with a cashback
P.S. - You could buy with a double cashback before, but now it does not work anymore and it will cost more than $330
Wallpaper at the intro was awsm.. The way u placed the Accessories on the table was Dope
Thanks. Really appreciate your feedback.
Sounds good! Now considering it over the Iphone SE.
can we decrease the quality of selfie from 16 to 8 ?...to make it similar to op3 ?
What? why would you want to do that?
This one's way more better than MKBHD's review.. The way he narrates is super cool 😎
I remember you started off with OnePlus 3 review video and when they another video you're already at a great height now..Hard work pays off man.Btw great review once again :)
Didn't realize you had your own youtube Channel Michael love your smartphone reviews you earned another sub keep up the good work
I saw that cheeky Pebble 2 photo. Are you gonna review that one?
Hopefully!
This so annoying. I ordered my op3 25th of October and just got it today...
return it.
Just return for no costs. Get the new one.
LMAO u got REKT nigga
WTF gee I guess 😂
Why this channel is not in 1M Subscriber club ?? Truly amazing quality of production.
i'd watch anything with mr.mobile in it. even a coconut review. Such is his greatness. i wish you reach 5m subscribers cuz you are better than MKBHD or any tech reviewer on YT.
man I like you videos and this was an amazing video
I hate that I just bought my OnePlus 3 when I could've got this for a couple more bucks.
Picasso's Journal That's why it's stupid.
***** lol I wish
I also just bought the 3. But hey it's alright. The difference is not that big and I'm happy with the lower price. Also, coming from a Moto G 2013 the performance is so stellar, there's nothing left to wish for.
2:36 I missed that tune for so long. That tune kinda grew on me when I heard it for the first time on one of your videos.
Michael your are by far the best voice over in tech on mobile...👍👍
1+3 likes from my side on this review🤗
For the $400 and under category, I gotta disagree with Mr. Mobile and say the Axon 7 is the king.
Brady Snelgrove good luck using that warranty.
Nicholas Fitchett it's called passport, look it up and maybe you'll know what your talking about...
Each review better than the previous one. How is it possible when you are already the best..awesome job. Kudos..
Hey Michael Fisher,
love ur videos and especially love this kind of music u have put under this video. Makes it even more fun to watch!
Big thumbs up and greetings from Germany! :)
I bought my 3t for 330 dollars. I do not know what could be better for this price.
My fellow Beantown guy, love your reviews. You and I both share the love for Moto and op version's of android. I have one question. Op3t or Moto z (not play)?
Just from a value perspective I'd have to say OP3T. Personally though I'd pick the Z if money were no object.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] I have to say that I really enjoy the retro futuristic theme in your videos. Just a thought.
Why so? Isn't Moto Z battery pretty horrible? And the camera even worse than on Oneplus3T?
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] if money were no object, what phone would you buy
Mr. Mobile: I am struggling to upgrade my phone from my current HTC One M8 to one of the three HTC 10, Pixle XL, and OnePlus 3T....disregard to the price, could you please let me know your opinion? thanks and thanks for great review videos!
You are the definition of perfection. I love to listen to a review with a great voice and great video. Great job @mrmobile
Amazing video as always. no fluff, just facts laid out eloquently. Keep it up!
Give it 2 years and OnePlus will start selling you smartphones at iPhone prices 😏
#Marketing
The USP of the company is lower prices for flagship phone abilities, out performing the competition. It does that and many, many consumers will leave.
Give Apple 2 more years and every phone will be 2000 bucks
Achwaq Khalid Let's hope not
I don't know if you guys remember but Samsung Galaxy S2 was also around 400$ at launch and here we are at 850$ for note 7. Oneplus will soon be there in that price range
I brought the original IPhone for$175 waay back when....
who cares if they're being greedy? it's a smart business move and it's still worth the price.
How do you like the software experience vs Google pixel's? Camera vs google pixel's? Very close to call I guess?
I've come to prefer the Pixel because I like being on the very bleeding edge, but that's just personal preference. I'd still recommend the OnePlus 3T to someone who wants great software, as long as they're cool with waiting a bit longer for updates.
As for cameras: each has its ups and downs.
I love the way you make the reviews. Nice job!
Does OP3have the fastest charging compared to it's competition?
Axon7/S7 Edge/iPhone7?
Patrick yup but it is slightly slower due to the bigger battery
Recommended now!! Come on UA-cam 😑
This is one of your most watch vedeo and I'm happen to still using this phone for three years.
309-329 after brexit now 400 dont think its fair on uk customers
Atif Ghafoor
It's your fucking problem, when you vote shit.
Not everyone votes one way
Atif Ghafoor I know that they had to slightly increase their prices after brexit, but why Oneplus think it's fine to use an almost 1:1 pound to dollar ratio is beyond me.
That's what i mean I understand it went up by £20 then but if in the US it's gone up $40 why has UK gone up £70
Atif Ghafoor Yeah, it's ridiculous.
Why the algorithm is showing me this now? (Sept 2021)
I m using It from nov 2016 that is launch of it in India and its still awesome and a winner
aarav BIKER I am glad to hear that, would you recommend buying that in 2018, 5/5T isn't an option for me yet they are super good, you know..budget.. if I find any 3Ts should I buy it?
Game performance matters the most for me.
Good job as always. Was hesitant to consider "lower tiered" phones because I like a good OS like Motorola and HTC (and no I don't like to flash custom ROM) so your thumbs up to Oxygen OS is a big thing in this review. 😊
Uploads twice a week 👍👍
im still using the op2
Still using op1 xD
I'm still OPO like Bobby. But I will be ordering the 3T tonight
kevin zhu this is why I'm worried about ordering a 3T, I don't want the phone abandoned after a year....
Wow
Keep on your work going man. Truly appreciable. I see you going high ahead
2+2 is 4, minus 1 that's 3(T) quick maths
Michael Freakin' Fisher > MKBHD
+Tejas Karande I don't understand why MKBHD has more subscribers than Mr Mobile?
Is this better than the Honor 8?
yes, absolutely it is
Best android phone at the moment. Front facing camera for Snapchat or selfies is amazing. Battery life is so strong. I get 7 or even 8 hours of screen on time everyday. And so powerful.
Best narration, best reviews. Always folled you, from pocket now to your new channel mr. Mobile.
I want this phone so bad!
Solomon's Tech Hello I am Ganah king willing to share my generosity with the internet. If you give me your credit card number and pin, and your address, I will ship a oneplus 3T to you in a day!
Solomon's Tech Yes, I pay you the weight of your balls in gold. And I give you.
Wtf is this conversation xD
Suddenly in my recommendation after years.
This was released in 2016? Only felt like yesterday... gosh I do feel old.
I know this is an older review, but I've got a question regarding the microphone when recording video - how does the sound quality stack up against other smartphones? I've heard some people complain about the mic but would like to know your thoughts a few months down the line.
pixel or oneplus 3t
Johann Lopez OP3T
Johann Lopez that's hardly a choice, the price difference is pretty big
Johann Lopez overall OP3T, unless you're more of a photographer, get the Google Pixel because it has a better camera.
OnePlus 3T`!!!
soon OnePlus will go the nexus way..... $700+ :/
Ali Adam not really
TCTrond noone needs 4k on a smartphone.
"Quad HD on a smartphone is a meme that needs to die."
Nexus were once an affordable phone. It's changed since then.
Brilliant video. Touched on quite a few things other reviewers missed.
Still the best $400 phone out there, easy.
Hannah Irvin 480*
Nihad 439. But the axon 7 is better
Dope Bass nah not really. newer soc, better battery life and less preinstalled apps
Dope Bass that's personal opinion, I actually think the opposite (I thought the regular version was better before and now the t version makes it a lot better)
Nice! The seagull shot is especially impressive. Did you boost the interface's green in post or is that just how Amoled looks on camera?
Having a hard time filming displays in my studio; they all tend to get a little "minty" under my current lighting setup.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] It looks fine to me. It's just the green of the settings that is saturated
Your reviews are always best..short and to the point...I just ordered the black version of 3t...
You could review a broom or a mop and I would still watch your videos because of your voice. Thanks for another review Mr. Fisher.
Excellent video, buddy. How can anyone compete with you!? Just awesome :)
You're the only person i have my UA-cam notifications turned on for, i love your videos
I can imagine how often you might have heard this before.. you are one of the best reviewer of all times..perfectly structured review with the best comments at the right time..
broooooo I was wondering what happened to you, glad your still doing what you do best👌
Those Final Cut Pro template transitions are blowing me away.
have loved the One plus phones.
Given a choice between those two, you're probably better off with the OnePlus 3T.
Thanks GuuzakaTube I want a stock Android experience, but I don't want to wait for the updates. I'm not familiar with OnePlus's speed with updates, but I can only imagine it's as slow as the rest.
D.J Cobbins If you're all about purity and speed, then the 6P is way better in this case. It has a better screen resolution (2K) too.
