Each week I do a 40 - 42 hour fast and once a month I do a 96 hour fast. This is along with my daily 18/6 fasting and very low carb. I've lost 94 pounds with about 10 or so more to lose. I feel incredibly healthy at 66, actually in better shape and healthy weight of my entire life. IF and low carb is my lifestyle now. I'll never go back. We took a 5 day vacation to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee a couple weeks ago. I ate and drink and had fun! haha When I got back, I did a 96 hour fast and totally lost all the 5 pounds I had gained. Before I started this new way of living, I would have just packed on those extra 5 pounds forever. Thomas and a few others, (Dr. Ekberg, Dr. Berg, Dr. Fung) have been a complete life saver for me. My weight goal is very near. My life style change is permanent. Thank you Thomas!! Keep those great videos coming. And the BEST part of it all, it's all FREE!!!! Free not to eat, free to watch UA-cam. I love that part.

I've got 44 hr of fasting in right now and feel like no to very low energy level, I went for a 3 mile walk earlier today and almost didn't complete it, just felt very low energy. When will I feel an uptick in energy ? I have been drinking salt water and liquid magnesium along with water, green tea and black coffee. I plan on a 96 hr fast or close to that....I really don't feel hungry but again just very low energy level, will this change soon ? In 2019 I lost 100lbs in 10 months through IF and Keto. Unfortunately I started a new job in 2020 that is very high stress, and would eat when I got home and mess up my fasts. Then everything else spiraled out of control and I was back up 90lbs last week. When you announced the 48 hour fast it sparked me for some reason, and I’m back on board. Getting ready to finish up this fast in less than 2 hours. I have to say I was suffering the first day. I did water and LMNT only, which means I went cold turkey on my 2/day Monster habit. I've done 24 hours before with zero calorie energy drinks and it was a breeze. I am happy to report that when I woke up on the 2nd day (today) I felt totally fine. No serious hunger, decent energy. I went rock climbing. This whole process has been a fun challenge and I think that 36 hours fasts, 24 hours + sleep, will be a regular thing for my wife and I to get the benefits in this vid!

I've been doing two 40 hour fasts twice a week for a month. It's not hard when you're already on a a low carb/ high fat diet. You're just not hungry. I've lost 49 pounds since February. The 40 hour fasts helped me overcome a weight loss plateau. I'll probably start only doing 1 fast a week now. I don't want to lose too much weight too fast. The nice thing about fasting is you have a lot more time to get things done. Planning, preparing, eating food and cleaning up takes up a lot of your daily time. Plus you save on food costs. The health benefits are worth it, especially if you have metabolic syndrome problems. Good luck to those that try fasting. It's much easier to fast if you get on a low carb/high fat diet first.

Autophagy must eat up a lot of the waste and reduces excess skin.
