I look so forward to your videos. My husband who refuses to knit a stitch usually watches with me. We've seen parts of the world we'd otherwise never see. Thank you guys.
Whether it's preparing a recipe, sharing a knitting tip, or taking us along on your amazing road trips, there is an underlying note of appreciation of what is true and beautiful that touches the heart. This latest excursion to Svalbard is no exception. The panorama is breathtaking, to say the least. The line of dogsledders in the distance was mesmerizing. The huge rocks were truly majestic, and those shots of the grey line of the horizon meeting the white snow were exceptional. Each time you stopped to capture some of this magic so that we could also be part of the experience. Thank you so much for filming your trip to Svalbard for us. Not all of us can reach such latitudes. You took the time to share images of your marvelous land. It was generous of you and we truly appreciated it. 🥰
You two bring me such joy!!!! Hearing Arne chuckling the whole time.....as Carlos gets hotter and hotter 😂😂😂 And I am so amazed by the beauty of Svalbard.....that canyon with those rock walls.....heaven on earth. Thank you so much for showing us something new ❤❤❤❤
Arne and Carlos I am so grateful you both came into my life. Thank you for all the experiences you share in such a playful and joyous way. Safe travels
Thank you for taking us along on this incredible journey Arne and Carlos. The sights are truly amazing. Thank you for all that you both do for us viewers, really appreciate these special moments that we get to share with you. Take care and stay blessed.❤
I will never say u look cold again!!! I was sweating watching u put on all those layers. Poor Carlos. At least I know how many layers I would need!!!! Scenery is beautiful. Have a fabulous time and see u both on Sunday. 👌👌👍👍❤️❤️👋👋👋👋
I love traveling with you two; I am getting to experience places I will never get to see through your eyes! The dog sledding, the snow machine traveling and showing us how to dress. So much fun. Looks beautiful there - thanks for sharing with your viewers; we appreciate you very much!
well I almost cried seeing that beautiful arctic landscape and then I was laughing at Carlos flaunting his undergarments and putting layer upon layer of clothes on. You bring such joy, and it is always so authentic and natural, whether knitting, baking a cake, making a gingerbread house or sharing a lovely experience with us. Please don't ever change. Thank you so much for this wonderful visit to Svalbard. xxx
Thank you for giving the gift of Svalbard to us! Magnificent!!! A true sacrifice to don all those layers indoors, Carlos. And kudos to the filming crew!!! Can't imagine filming with sleeping bag mittens on...
Thank you for sharing another delightful adventure in your homeland❣️ You are so, so on point - there is no bad weather only bad clothing. I especially enjoy watching you guys enjoy the WINTER. What a unique place to do that.
Oh boy, you went dog sleding. Going on a snowmobile. Wow the scenery is stunning. Thank you Carlos for putting on all those layers. Thank you for sharing your trip.
This video is stunning! I miss you watching your everyday videos of Advent 2023, so I started watching some older once. I started watching you, guys, not long ago, and I find out all your videos very relaxing and entertaining, no matter what you videotape! And I don't knit at all, just have a soft spot in my heart for Norway and everything Norwegian...
I can’t thank you enough for this wonderful video. To see Svalbard through your camera and the fabulous adventures you undertake is magical. Our trip to Nordkapp was amazing but this surpasses anything I experienced there. But to add the dressing element was absolutely genius and made it so real. What you do for your art and audience. Thank you for bringing us another special moment in your continuing storybook of life at its fullest. ❤❤❤❤ T&S
Oh my this was too funny… you reminded me of the way my mother use to dress me up when I was a little kid to go outside to play in the snow… I couldn’t turn my head or bend my arms and legs! Snug as a bug in a rug….couldn’t do anything but we were warm. Lol
You look like a true Canadian going out for a snowmobile trip, right down the the hot pads in the snowmobile gloves ! We love our sledding and also know how to layer ! Absolutely amazing views you have, truly a winter wonderland ! Thank you for the pictures
Carlos, you are good sport for putting on all those layers and almost melting before our eyes. Arne, your laugh had me laughing too. 😉 I’m not a fan of the cold, but those views that you both captured took my breath away. Thank you for the tutorial on what to wear when visiting the top of the world.♥️♥️
OMG, MY FRIENDS! What an adventure! It's May 28, 2023. I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. As an energetic child I lived in the counytryside of Canton, Ohio, USA and oh how I loved the cold air and snow of Winter. Carlos, I could so relate to each layer as you added it for warmth and lost more and more mobilty. I was laughing so much (WITH you and Arne) because I was reliving your experience as though I was that cold child who couldn't wait to get outside to play but once properly prepared couln't move more than a shuffle and if I fell down, I remained there as a turtle on it's back, unable to move in any direction!🤣 Thank-you both for another uplifting 'Sit and Knit'! Sorry that at nearly 76 yrs old (Sept 11th 1947) I won't be joining your Arctic Cruise but, I will continue to enjoy your Arne and Carlos videos. Thank-you BOTH for bringing laughter, joy and your real time experiences to me. Btw, I've taught myself how to knit Norwegian by following your tutorials. May you both enjoy the best of good health and happiness.😊 Your friend, Joy.
This was such a wonderful video! Thank you all for making and sharing this! I love you showing how many layers it takes to be safely warm!!! The dog sledding and snow mobiling photography was amazing! Thank you ever so much for taking us with you! I loved this!!!
Love the Bubble pants! That was an amazing amount of clothing you put on, Carlos...Thanks for the glimpse into life in the Arctic region of Norway, so Beautiful !
Thank you so much for sharing your trip --- it was amazing!!!!! Thanks to you guys I get to travel--- Thank you Carlos for being such a good trooper!!!
I sat to knit for a bit and can't look away from this beautiful video. I waited for an ad to play so I could write a comment. I'll have to knit after SAKFAB. 😊
I was getting claustrophobic watching Carlos put on all those layers! Gave me flashbacks of being a child when my parents would dress me in layers to go snowmobiling. Could barely move one’s limbs, but we stayed warm.
Very educational for us. Thank you for all the trouble you went through showing us what the people who live there have to do to survive in that cold a climate.
Hello you gorgeous two, that place sounds amazing and looks spectacular. It looks so so cold, you look freezing. I love your SAKfAB, and look forward to it. Have fun and stay well xx
That was positively heroic, Carlos! You really “took one for the team!” Thank-you both for the views of Svalbard, it looks fascinating. See you both soon!
Thanks for sharing beautiful scenery! But I would never go there it would be to cold for since I suffer from arthritis n fibromyalgia I love Arne laughing in the background so enjoyable I just love u both bring me so much happiness!!!
Poor Carlos, you look miserable! All while Arne is laughing! Looks like a fun trip. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. I’d love to see all of that in person one day.
Arne & Carlos ....The things you do for us ...Carlos you are a trooper. A very educational podcast for how to dress for the snow. Thank you guys .😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Wow! We could have used those down pants in Minnesota! We did wear knit gloves inside the mitts. As you mentioned, wind is a huge contribution to cold! So beautiful up there! Thank you for sharing -it was great.
I thought Svalbard would be beautiful, but I am in awe! I've never seen anything so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video and knowing that you are not cold! I simply can't wait to see this in person in August. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for sharing this lovely view of the artic. The scenery was beautiful as you were dog sledding .That sure is a lot of layers to put on ,but I believe you when you say you are toasty warm out there! Have a wonderful time at the top of the world!!
Wow,Carlos - it's impressive that you can get so many layers of clothes on and still move! I know you have to wrap up well with such low temperatures outside, and it must be a helluva hot indoors with that lot on, but does it feel tight to move in? There were some sled dogs around there too. I do hope they have thick enough fur to keep them warm. Maybe they could use some warm doggy coats? Thank you for your lovely videos! I have always done various kinds of arts and crafts, specifically knitting - hand and machine, crochet, sewing, the odd bit of weaving and painting and drawing, specifically, and I love to see the results of your talents and ideas. I also love to see parts of your country. It's so beautiful, with the mountains, lakes, waterfalls, etc. More please!
When I get too warm for inside after prepping for the cold outside, I just step outside and it doesn’t take long to cool down. You look great, Carlos! All armored up against the cold😊
U are so stinkin cute!!! Yes NY , Minnesota. These are places you say “ there is no bad cold only bad clothing! “ its wonderful when dressed appropriately. So lovely there. Thanks for sharing ! 😂
I cannot add more to all the previous comments. This has been a superb Sit and Knit. I appreciate all you guys do to keep your fans involved. The scenery there is breathtaking. Some of it put me in mind of the old movie Dr. Zhivago. I know that I will never have the opportunity to experience the North Pole in person, so this is the next best thing. Thanks from Evelyn in Greensboro, Georgia, GEORGIA, USA Today is a rainy day in Georgia. 😊
I am from Chicago, and I can attest to cold. Cold so freezing that your brain can not even register it is "cold," yet you feel like your blood has coagulated and your bones simply ache in pain. This is exactly what layering means, and it is then survivable. You can not stop for the cold. You adjust as life must be lived. Svalbard is beautiful! What backlist adventures you had. I know those who are joining you this fall will have an exquisite time. Ok, marshmallow puff men, another great tutorial! Carry on!
Oh my goodness. I know that its very cold in the arctic but I think if im to wear so many layers of clothes I will die by suffocation before I go out. As when I wear a jumper and a jacket on top I feel as if im being strangled so I cant imagine how I feel wearing all that.😅 Thank God I live in a warmer climate But the scenery there is just breath taking.thank you Arne and Carlos for taking us with you. Blessings to you both and many kisses from Malta.
That was "so good" as Arne would say. Made my day. I think that demo on layering gave you a 2 lb weight loss at least! I didn't know about the outer layer of shorts for extra protection from the cold. There was an episode of Friends when Joey put on all of Chandler's clothes which made me think of Carlos. Anyway, thank u both for including all of us in the our lives.
Omg the scenery is so beautiful, you transported me to places I may never go in this lifetime so thank you for these travel videos and the history of them. ❤
I grew up in a cold and windy place (in winter) - Laramie, Wyoming, US - but I have never put on that many layers! We were all Michelin men as children in red snowsuits and big scarves around our faces. I must see Svalbard some day soon. Thanks for bringing us along!
Thanks for the tour outside and the amusing dressing prep. It sounds similar to dressing for outdoors when I spent a winter in Beijing, but without the snow. I was teaching, and once I got into the classroom I had to take off several layers -- so I used it as time to teach the children the English words for clothing and taking things off and putting them back on before recess. The funny part is how quickly you overheat and you just want to rip the layers off. The dog sledding and skidoos look like great fun!
I hope everyone is suitably grateful to you Carlos. The things you do for us! 😊
I look so forward to your videos. My husband who refuses to knit a stitch usually watches with me. We've seen parts of the world we'd otherwise never see. Thank you guys.

Have a nice trip ! Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of the North !
Absolutely amazing views! So fortunate to enjoy all the activities along with you!
our Earth is a beautiful place
Thanks for showing us how you dress for the weather, Carlos!
You are welcome!
