Not gonna lie, using a droideka as a mech suit is pretty badass.
I have a feeling you’d get sick real quick
@@Bone_Chaser From the looks of the trailer, it seems that the cockpit has free rotation or at least has gyro stabilization.
I wouldn't let a filthy ugnaught meatbag use me as a suit

anyone else noticed that at 0:51 the droideka is shooting WHILE ROLLING?!
because if all droidekas could do that... clone wars would show them in even better light.
Two Jawas in a trenchcoat. I love it. Peak SW character design.
I was specifically looking to see if anyone else noticed this. Pure chaos.
They should do movies about Two-Jawas Inacoat. So much character potential.
Honestly I wish the movies gave us more of this kind of character design in main characters. It's a galaxy far, far away full of gonzo aliens, robots and space wizards.
You love the sequels don't you?
@@chewbacca3269 I'm fairly mixed on them? Force Awakens was pretty good but felt samey, Last Jedi was very good, Rise of Skywalker was terrible. Episodes 3, 5 and 8 are the best overall
Every line of dialogue in this trailer sounds like a common emote😂
My guess is that they are, just repurposed for this
I think it represents what players irl would say rather than a dialogue from actual Star Wars characters. But idk
Honestly the trailer would have been more enticing if there was no dialogue 😂 it’s so poorly executed
But as long as I get to play as a mando I’m happy 🤷🏽♂️

Aurebesh*

@@isamu_17 I think Aurebesh is the name of the writing system, while Basic is the name of the spoken language. Which suggests that Aurebesh can be used to write other languages as well.
You're both right. It's written using Aurebesh, but the language is Galactic Basic.
Just like how our alphabet can be used to write multiple languages, so can Aurebesh most likely. Galactic Basic is really just Star Wars' name for English.

I'd say given the "welcome to arena" line, it's another online multi-player bs game that everyone is making as a quick cash in for the dumb masses that choose to play these type of games.
So is it a shooter
My guess is Apex Legends arena mode
The trailer looks good but the gameplay is what I’d like to see before I make any judgments.
Gameplay was at Apple event today for a couple seconds. Looks like 3rd person overwatch Star Wars
@@Deltabolster yes
just know it won't be anything like we are seeing on this hype trailer lol
Probably a rip-off of Apex, Fornite, Overwatch, Paladins, or Valorant.
This could probably be a moba game like pokemon unite
A good rule of thumb: If a game trailer looks very polished, but refuses to show any actual gameplay, it's almost definitely a garbage game. They put all their budget into flash and polish, and skipped out on the substance. I do hope that I'm wrong though.
That makes a ton of sense lol
Did that apply to the KOTOR Remake trailer?
@@Spectrometer remakes hit diff
Pokemon unite moment
@@Spectrometer That game is much further off, which is a different problem. The game industry as a whole has a lot of bad marketing habits built around the idea of generating hype WAY too early to get people to buy consoles and pre-orders ahead of time. I will say I am legimately concerned with how they change KOTOR's combat (Ngl, I first played KOTOR probably 5 years ago and even as a "modern" gamer (whatever that is) loved the RPG turn based combat with rolls and rng) and the story. Both are pretty much guaranteed to get rewrites to fit the narrative of what gamers want in rpg games today and more importantly adapt the KOTOR story to fit Disney's Star Wars narrative (not necessarily anything political like people usually say (Disney doesn't actually care about politics they care about money) but them shaping the story so that they can sell more stories following/based around it). The problem is even having played KOTOR recently it's still one of my favorite games of all time (and I first played it in the Xbox One Era). The graphics aren't even "that" bad and it runs pretty well backwards compatible on my Xbox. Great story and choices. Good characterization and made me fall in love with the crew. A part of me already hates SWTOR for making the freedom I had in KOTOR be wiped away with the Revan story (this is why I hate the "Canon" ending in choice based games; it feels like discrediting everything I did in my run). Disney 100% wants to use Revan in future content and to do that they'll need to write a "canon" story, background, and ending for him that suits their needs. KOTOR 2 definitely does the heavy lifting (I'd rather get a complete version of that with cut content), but KOTOR in of itself is a gem (actually I'd probably be more interested if Obsidian was doing the KOTOR remake and incorporating great features from KOTOR 2 (like letting me corrupt crew members so I don't have to kill half my crew when I choose to rule the galaxy (not going to apologize for decade old spoilers))). Anyway, it's a *different* problem when a game further off does an only CGI teaser trailer than when a game closer does it. Either way ALWAYS be cautious. The game industry (namely pretty much every major publisher) is notorious for their infamous marketing tactics at this point.
Here are the things we learned about this game today:

This game I don’t know what to think of, but the Jedi droid, and the mando were cool
From the makers of Farmville, Cityville, Zynga Poker, and Game of Thrones Slot Casino, comes a Star Wars game.
It just looks like every single other cheap mobile type offering they’ve released. It’s basically the exact same game repackaged and remade multiple times with a different name. In a few years this’ll be cancelled and a brand new game exactly the same will take its place and people will be awestruck as if it’s something groundbreaking. It’s happened about six times already since 2015

People don’t understand that if this is genuinely canon, it would take place on a distant world, and this is a battle royale in Universe. Essentially then that makes everyone just “WWE Wrestlers” if that makes sense. Similar to Gladiators back in the Ancient times, these people are given tools and armor. Such as Sabers found on the black market, left over Mandalorian armor etc. No, a Droid Jedi cannot exist, but it can posses a lightsaber and act as one. This arena can also maybe be manipulated to allow these characters to seem like they are using the force. But at the end of the day this is done for the entertainment of the crowd we see. So this is all just an act for them.
Pretty much. I'd like to imagine it's in these fights where they're more likely to put on a persona. Something you'd see in pro-wrestling or something.
hel the sith girl may even be force sensitive, but the sith getup and the red lightsaber are just part of her gimmick for the audience.
Probably not canon.
@@thescruffinator8830 That'd actually be really freaking cool IMO since by the time of the Original Trilogy the vast majority of the galaxy doesn't really know anything about the Sith. I don't think this will be the best nor the worst Star Wars game if it doesn't take it self too seriously for what it is, just a arcade arena non cannon Star Wars fighting game. And again, it is free to play... with optional micro transmissions which are hopefully just for useless cosmetics.
Thank you, someone had to say it eventually!!
This is what I was looking for. The Star Wars crew said they would make more games, they don't have to all be triple-A, open-world masterpieces. This game is intended for Switch and mobile, so it makes sense to be in this category.

And it will also be like Battle for Neighborville in that it will be worse than PvZ: Garden Warfare
Doesn't look remotely even close to that, looks like a team based arena fighting game.
@@RocketdogandSeptembr thats what it is essentially but smaller
@@thespeedchannel9571 Literally how is it essentially that? Just because there are classes and two teams...? They're very clearly in small arenas and the only objective is to kill each other. Battle for Neighborville was mostly objective based and had big, expanding maps and teams with lots of players. This is nothing like any of that. Plus we don't even know anything about that game, but what little we do know does not indicate hardly any similarities between the two games. Plus, BfN sucked. The first two games were miles better
@@RocketdogandSeptembr Dude I literally just said it was smaller bro, also yes I get that other stuff but to be completely fair it doesn't seem all that different when u look at anything in the trailer that looks like gameplay also there doesn't seem to really even be a storyline to it, but just a bunch of random arena fights while Fighting on 2 different teams, but I do see where u are coming from I just respectfully disagree with the fact u said they're not alike at all.

Let's hope this has a campaign mode with a story, that would be the ONLY reason I would play this game.
That’s why I lost interest in Battlefront 2015 so quickly because it didn’t have an actual campaign mode
then maybe you should go and find a Star Wars game that's designed for a campaign. Not every game requires a campaign and it just takes valuable resources and assets away form creating the things they want to create, in this case a multiplayer arena. If they are going to make a campaign where its just a solo experience doing the same arenas/maps as the multiplayer and its just against specific cpu controlled versions of characters then that's fine but creating new maps and content only for a campaign is a waste of resources like battlefront 2. You've had Jedi fallen order, you have lego Star Wars, you will have knights of the old republic, you will have the Jedi fallen order sequel and the open world Ubisoft game. Let this game just be a multiplayer game as it is quite clearly designed to be
With all these Star Wars games on the switch. I would love to have the original battlefront 1 and 2 on the switch!
