I would kill for the OG Battlefront II on Switch. Not the PSP version either, the PS2/Xbox/PC version. I also wouldn't mind remasters of the PSP/DS Battlefronts on Switch since camera control on those made me want to die.

Reminder that KOTOR 2 still hasn't gotten it's Restore Missing Content DLC.
I would just like to add my voice to those asking for the Kotor 2 patch/dlc that was promised. I've already invested in these games and would love to see one of the most iconic living up to its full potential. 👍
It’s a legal reason why it hasn’t come out yet. It’s already finished.

@@dvader518 the rumors going around are that Aspyr didnt ask Disney's permission first before they announced that they were going to be adding the restore content mod, and the reason it hasnt come out yet is because Disney is fighting with the original creators of the mod over how much compensation they'll be getting. There hasn't been anything official announced about why its been delayed though, so that might not be true.
@@keetongu445 Shouldn't Obsidian have some say in it? After all, they were originally going to patch the game to include it before LucasArts said no just because the Xbox version couldn't be patched.
I really wanna see Rogue Squadron make it to modern platforms. The sequel too, which I never played! Those games deserve a proper remaster
Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader is still legit today. A mostly 60 FPS experience with hundreds of Ties on screen, it had never been done before and 22 years later has never been done as well.
I'm surprised rogue squadron I and II haven't been ported to switch by now. The controller support is rough on the PC port.

@@FelixS. Yes. EA had the exclusive license for 10 years. A full decade. And they have released 2 good games. Fun fact: Every single game in this collection, all 7 of them, released within a timespan of 9 years. Also both original Battlefront games and Empire at War. All of them have released within a 9 year timeframe.
That means all 11 classic must play Star Wars games have released in the same timespan that it took EA to make 2 good games.
Except they bankrupted Pandemic Studio which is the company that developed the original Star Wars Battlefront games.😔

All of these games for $40 is incredible and a great reminder of what it was like when great Star Wars games were being churned out all the time.
You know the minority were good, most was lackluster filler/cash grabs.

That's a lot of Star Wars gaming. If you haven't picked some of these gems up yet, now would be rather good. And the prices get marked down a bit as well
Kotor 2 is still unfinished on Switch :(. We were promised the Restored content DLC which never came to fruitition.
Hopefully they can add original Battlefront 1&2, the Revenge of the Sith video game, and Force Unleashed 2!
It would make sense to have Force Unleashed 2 if they were porting the PS3/Xbox360 version of Force Unleashed, but they're porting the Wii/PS2/PSP version for some reason, which is really a completely different game made by a different studio that just follows mostly the same story beats (this version is still pretty good though. Lots of people prefer it over the bigger console release).

I just can’t get over what TLJ did to Luke. It was awful watching one of my favorite characters of all time get destroyed and reduced to a plot device. I just hope they say that that was some clone of Luke named “Luuke” like in the old novels.
@@hYBRYDcOBRA As far as I'm aware the only Star Wars movies that exists are the good original trilogy, the one I grew up with prequel trilogy and the decent spin-off Rouge one.

Yep I almost bought the KOTOR bundle on Switch but when I saw that they never delivered on the KOTOR restored content update, I decided to just play it on PC

It's a difficult game to port. Even emulators on PC with high-end specs can't fully emulate without a hitch.
Force Unleashed 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games!
So strange that 2 has yet to be released! It's like only releasing kotor 1.

Picked this up today can't wait for the weekend
Imagine the original Battlefront 2 with multiplayer on Switch, completely preserved including the 20 max player lobbies that run 24/7 that you can join any time.
This is an amazing collection of some of the best Star Wars games, but I would've loved it if the e-shop gave the ability to buy it at a cheaper price if you already own some of these games. I have Republic Commando and Force Unleashed and the bundle still costs the same price.

So many more we still need. Like shadows of the empire, rogue squadron trilogy. Super star wars trilogy. Dark forces, etc.
To be honest, Shadow of the Empire was bad even back then. It has the best Hoth level in all Star Wars games and the final attack on the sattelite was cool. Echo Base was sufferable but everything between? No it was not good.
@Randy19 it means a lot to people who grew up playing it. And it's one part of a memorable multimedia event (game, comic, novel. Toys etc). So yeah many fans want it in HD! I have played it tons of times as an adult and still love it. It has aged I'm not gonna deny it. And some levels suck like the swoop bike stage. But the hoth levels isn't the only good stage! And I want it in HD. I hate having to plug the n64 back in everytime I get nostalgic. So bring it back! And rogue squadron! And battle for naboo. All thr star wars n64 games must return!
@@EskChan19 Not sure about the hoth level. I personally prefer the one in Rogue Leader. As for the rest, I agree. As someone who played it decades after its release with no nostalgia, my impression is that it aged poorly.

The greatest Star Wars games are Jedi Knight 2 + 3, Episode 1 Racer, Kotor 1&2, the Rogue trilogy, Fallen Order, Republic Commando and Dark Forces. The Force Unleashed aged horribly in the gameplay department and has cringe, low fan fiction level narrative. It is not even the shoe of aforementioned games.

They'd have to acknowledge Legends Luke and his Praxeum were better than their Acho-To trash. I could see Outcast working though but Disney hasn't acknowledged people just stumbling upon old Dark Side stuff or the Empire's Force-sensitive agents starting their own governments like they did in the EU. That's probably one of the worst things to come out of Disney Wars considering the stories we did get and the stories they could've made from it.
Jedi Outcast and Jedi Accademy would have made terrific sequels and the same goes for the Dark Forces games before them! Kyle Katarn is a well developed, complex, vulnerable but at the same time fully grown, mature, wise and powerful character. Something that MaREY Sue Palpatine will NEVER be! We also got to see Jedi Master Luke Skywalker rebuilding the Jedi Order and fulfilling his destiny unlike Ruin Johnson's JAKE Skywalker!

A Rogues Squadron Remastered Trilogy needs to happen. It's the only Nintendo exclusive SW game series, yet no trace of it on Switch. RS1 was iconic on the N64 and RSII & III were system sellers for the GameCube. C'mon Nintendo, it needs to be. Rogue Squadron II and III were never released anywhere else anyway. (Also the Wii version of Force Unleashed II for the Switch)

If possible, I would love to see Rogue Squadron and the other Star Wars N64 games get the same treatment. Keep the games the same, simply add 60fps and add modern controls.

They were kinda ugly games even when they were new but I still love a lot of them, especially KOTOR 1/2.

@@MedalionDS9 Except Sith Lords which was hopelessly obsolete by 2005 standards already. The first KotOR at least had some nifty visuals, the other game was dark and murky for the most part so the poor textures stood out even more painfully.
What are you talking about? Jedi Knight II, III and Force Unleashed had great graphics for their time and they have aged nicely. You kids today are way too spoiled with those flashy 4K HD graphics.

They could do a lot more collection of other games. There is many games made for Star Wars dating back from the 1970's to today. It would be amazing to play the Final Fantasy games all together for example.

Kind of weird that we got the original Xbox exclusive Star Wars: Republic Commandos before getting the Nintendo exclusives like Shadows of the Empire, and all four Rogue Squadron games (including Star Wars Episode I: Battle for Naboo). And Nintendo has never gotten Star Wars: Dark Forces and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II in spite of getting the third and fourth games in the Dark Forces series, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy on the GameCube.
Likewise, the Super Nintendo trilogy has gotten a rerelease on the Wii in its Virtual Console and later the PlayStation 4, but is still not re-released for the Nintendo Switch.
