I love how the developers of this game know what the fans like by giving us a mumble mode and Gonk Droid.
They also referred to the Executor by its in-universe designation a 'Star Dreadnought' out of universe most call it a 'Super Star Destroyer'.
Yeah, there’s even an extra that replaces all citizens with GNK droids.
@@gladosbutstupid8807 o-o
Agreed, but no Chapter Select Canteen Hub hurts...
@@gladosbutstupid8807 because the gonk droid is the only character that matters in Star Wars. They shouldn't have put in all that filler about Duke Skystalker, I think his name is.
That Mumble Mode really looks like it'll be the perfect mix of modern Lego voice acting and classic Lego cutscenes with just grunts and visual gags and I honestly love that. Really excited to finally be able to play this game on April 5th.
yea +1
In the cheats you can also see a Retro Mode, which says that when combined with Mumble makes for a nostalgic experience.
Now that's explained why they delay the game
Will this game also have motion controls?
@@jorgem.9690 maybe just for the blaster mechanics or possibly when using the force
No wonder why this was delayed a year, this looks packed with content and it all looks graphically amazing!
A lot of crunch involved too, unfortunately
Its not going to look like that on switch tho
@@loboalcurry there is no reason to believe it won't.
I kinda feel honor bound to buy it after this trailer, I’m very impressed.
@@SirPanikalot778 Switch has way less power than every other platform in the market tho, its really not going to look like the trailer, the question here is, how much worse is it going to look
Lego games have gotten so freaking advanced. This looks like it’s gonna feel like a modern AAA third person adventure game, absolutely insane! Love the fact that the grunts are coming back as an option too!
Idk if i like the way they did the "I am your father" scene. The characters aren't using props or anything, it's the original scene but they aren't saying a couple words right
@@BongzooMaster that’s because they use the same cutscene for both, they just change the audio to mumbles
@@BongzooMaster The joke is that old Lego Star Wars games didn't have voice acting, so for those nostalgic for it there's a "Mumble Mode" feature where they don't talk, only make funny noises.
To be fair, this is the first Lego game in years to shake up their stale old formula, wouldn’t say LEGO games have gotten really advanced but at least they’re finally putting in an effort into creating a new experience
@@tylermaendel8807 Yeah, for me personally, the old formula is something that only 10-year old me can enjoy. I tried picking up a Lego game recently and I got bored immediately in the first 10 minutes.
They’re truly bringing back the feeling of The Complete Saga. It’s really cool we’re gonna get a cheat where the characters go back to communicating through small noises, I really missed that, I mean they’re basically mumbling but it still counts. Still, this game is basically the Smash Ultimate of Lego. Literally EVERY Lego Star Wars character is here in this very game. Which means I can finally play as the Gonk Droid again. It’s been years since I’ve been able to do that after I basically stopped playing Lego Star Wars III
@Holl ywood No
Is this a remaster of all the previous Star Wars Lego games?
@Holl ywood no
@@VinnytotheK From having played the Complete Saga on DS and PS3 when it came out, I believe so. Everything is revamped from the original game.

@David Cunningham i would
it for sure is, they have spent like 4 times the resources on this game than any other of their lego games previously. I've been saying this since before Cyberpunk, this is the game everyone should be excited for!

I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. Because as someone who grew up with the first 2 Lego Star Wars games, I’m blown away by how vastly different and expanded this remake/compilation is from the originals.

@@ActuallyAwesomeName the first game was made 17 years ago
Man i feel you...I've played the complete saga on Ds and I was just 6 at that time...now it's just more childhood and we are gonna enjoy it!!
I had low expectations when I heard about this, but omg, this game has skill shots, combos, different ways to take on different scenarios, side missions, mini games, Mumble Mode (for all of my fellow Complete Saga fans), unlockable skills, 300+ characters, open world elements… and I believe that it’s entirely possible that I missed a few things. I’m now genuinely excited for this game, looks really awesome!
it looks good and i definitely would rather mumble mode as the characters talking ruins the appeal (yes i am a complete saga fan) everything else mentioned seems like it will be very fun
@@Leonardo-cw1dd looking at the cut scenes they've shown, they still seem to be using a lot of grunts over voice acting even without the mumble mode. They seem to be balancing both voice acting and grunts rather well to be honest. Having said that, I will definitely be using the mumble mode.
100% is gonna be a grind boys leggo
@Josa does seem a little over complicated and might take away from feeling like the older lego games, but hopefully has gone through enough play testing to still be enjoyable for players. Idk how I really feel about that stuff either, I won't know until I play the game I think
@Josa I understand your trepidation, and I'm sure you're not alone in feeling that way. TCS was great because it was so simple, you just jumped into a level and played. Press square until you have to hold circle, do that over and over until you're told to stop. Anyone could do it, and have a good time. I love TCS a lot myself, for the same reasons. I totally get why it's off-putting for you and others to get something so much more complex. I get it!
That said, this is the Star Wars game I always wanted. Nevermind the Lego Star Wars game; the Star Wars game. In general. Like this is the PERFECT entry in the library for me. Open exploration, customization, love for all three trilogies, open space, the whole package. I'm in! I'm 10,000% IN!!
Hold on a second… this actually looks unbelievably better than ever!! I’m getting this game

As a kid, seeing an ad on TV for Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga was a huge deal to me, and I immediately wanted it (especially since I only had a DS, and LSW II on that was a broken mess). Replayed it so many times, was exactly what I wanted.
Watching this trailer felt like that; it's the blend of childhood toys and the sci-fi series I loved as a teen, but with modern gameplay improvements and a ton of content. If this lives up to the trailer I will be a very happy child again.

Too bad I’ve never gotten into the actual movies before, while I love playing lego games, I usually don’t really find interest in the series it’s based of off. Like I loved playing the lego Batman games but not a huge fan of Batman in itself. This game seems to follow the story a bit more so I hope I can still play this action packed game without having to know too much about the movies. As I have yet to see an entire Star Wars movie before.

It's amazing how far Lego games have progressed
I remember the original Lego Star Wars games were essentially just puzzle games with a light amount of combat mixed in
This looks so much different than anything we've seen them do
the only lego games I played were the first and third lego batman games, some random Star Wars ones, and a pirates of the caribbean one. They don't have any business being that good, and I'll try to pick it up when it drops
I recently started playing Lego DC Super Villains when it was free on PS+. The hub world alone is huge and the levels are very long and detailed. If this new Lego Star Wars is the next version of that progression, it's gonna be a great game with TONS to do!
I hope there is an "eliminate as many younglings in 60 seconds challenge"

Personally, I’ll probably wait a week to make sure that the game works well on switch, then I’ll definitely get the deluxe edition
This is a hard one for me. On one hand, I personally disagree with preordering on a fundamental level. On the other, it's the game I wanted since I first played LSW2 back in 2007. I want to preorder, but I shouldn't. Toughie!
I hope they will bring back "strategy" mission from clone wars, they were soo fun, especially with friends
I really hope this game runs well on switch, I've got a beefy pc but there's just something iconic about playing Lego games on a big tv in the livingroom
Not gonna lie this looks promising, game looking fire 🔥
The dmc style combat changes and deeper third person shooter mechanics, on god I’m hype
This really feels like it could be the game they were trying to make when force awakens came. When they did force awakens, it felt like they were almost missing something here and there which in my perspective threw it away as a whole feel for me. With the old games, it kind of felt similar, but you could atleast get past it when you knew you were playing a game with only mumble and forgetting someone is speaking. But really this game looks promising for lego games and above, I just hope it lives up to its hype. The different choices you can make as well as the actual world itself is just crazy to have in a lego game, even the combat is just crazy. Just imagine what they could do if they did it with even more games like if they redid lego avenger games or lego batman.
I’m so happy we finally have a release date for the game!
OMG Finally a release date! …please don’t push it back again 🥺

To get ready for the game, you should check out the 9 movies the game will be based on, each one referred to with an "episode" number. Start with the "original trilogy" (4, 5, and 6), those were the first movies, they came out in the 70s/80s and are classic cinema now. They follow Luke Skywalker and the fight against Darth Vader. Then go on to the "prequel trilogy" (1, 2, and 3) which came out in the late 90s/early 00s. They follow Anakin Skywalker (Luke's dad) and the advent of the Clone Wars. And finally, watch the "sequel trilogy" (7, 8, and 9) which came out more recently starting in 2015, they follow Rey, Finn and Poe long after Luke defeated Darth Vader and we see a new threat emerge in the form of Kylo Ren and the First Order.

It's Lego Star Wars. Aka the Lego franchise that kicked off the video game franchise. It better be as awesome as it looks or it will be a huge letdown, especially after years of delays.
@@GR8NE55 It won't even be 2 years of delays when it releases,it doesn't even qualify as years
Holy! This looks amazing! Much better than what I expected! Great Job!
i never got into the movies but i adored the lego ds games when i was a kid! thinking about getting the game again to relive the nostalgia!
The New Complete Saga. This game is looking amazing and it shall be interesting to see how it goes and fun to play
This looks like a worthy successor to complete saga
Lego games had always been good, but this is on a whole other level, I'm not even a huge star wars fan and I am really excited for this.
Also, they knew what they were doing when they showed off that mumbling option, massive respect to that.
im gonna be mad if they shorten it for switch
@@vinkennest3274 Switch will be the worst version, unfortunately.
@@the_gmer1955 why?
@@pheobepeach Because the switch is the weakest when it comes to this console generation's hardware.
@@the_gmer1955 alrigjt thank you :)
This all I have ever wanted
Time for all nine films to be bundled chronologically. Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver who played Rey and Kylo Ren, I will hire for Ocean Blue and Paltrow.
This game looks so good. Improved from the other great lego games and those were already a blast. I hope it has co-op.
I hope so too, I'm assuming if it's in there they'd show it in this gameplay trailer but who knows!
@@MeatFingerSteam I could be wrong, but isn't every LEGO game co-op?
@@LucidVision138 most
@@zeldan64fan50 Haha thank you! Was too lazy to look it up.
The co-op being some extra mode is my main worry too, since the scenes in this trailer look to be very single-player focused and hard to do in splitscreen.
We will see though, can't wait to play this (hopefully with friends and family) and relive the (co-op) nostalgia from the Complete Saga on the Wii!
Every TT Games Lego game is co-op
