Clear, proper explanations, no tacky RGB carnival, very well done. Haven't built a Windoze in 15-odd years, would like a proper gaming machine that doesn't look like a tuned car, this was a good kick-off point. Much appreciated! Cheers from Belgium
@@DTUnboxed Hey bro, What are the VRM temperatures on Ryzen 9 + TUF B450 motherboard combo you made in this video? Did you take these measurements with a temperature sensor under a moderate load?
I'm planning to buy this case to make a MS-DOS/Windows '95 gaming PC, while I get the Rosewill Stryker M or Cooler Master Storm Stryker to make a Windows XP gaming PC.
Thanks for video. A bit dated now, but while the parts have changed names and speeds, the concepts are dtill the same, practically. My last pc build was 12 years ago, OMG!, and really there are more options both altogether, and per a single build. It’s about 1/2 part selection, 1/2 installation, and 1/2 building the OS and tuning BIOS, OS, Drivers, applications, games, the entire world online, and another 1/2 hardening the build. I failed advanced math many times, but I can 1/2 count
My last PC build was 11 years ago using an Abit KV-85 mobo and Sempron CPU. The PC is still working, running Windows XP. it was such a success that I bought the identical mobo and accessories a week later and built a second PC. This is also still running fine, with Windows 7. However, after watching this video I would not feel confident building another PC. Modern, fast PCs are much more complex, with a lot of terminology I'm not conversant with. I really would like a Ryzen 5 PC, but there are not many ready-built ones available in the UK.

Hi, thank you for your content, very informative, just want to ask if you also have a step by step tutorial in setting up Asus Tuf Gaming b550m-plus wifi Mobo? Thank you
Hi bro I got a very similar setup, same motherboard but a rtx3700 ... but the motherboard is showing me a white error light (vga) and no signal is being sent to the monitor ... could you please help?
Great video, you didn’t seem too sure about the ssd… it didn’t make a difference where to put it because x570 supports gen 4 m2 ssd in both slots. But if you had bought a B550 the gen 4 is the closest to the cpu and the other is a gen 3, so if you wanna take advantage of the gen 4 high speeds, you have to know or be lucky. Someone in the comments correct me if I’m wrong :)
Hey Dave! Thanks heaps for this upload, I’m about to build my PC tonight. Your video is heaps clear and your explanations are on point. Can’t wait to build this workhorse!
Great video. I just purchased an Asus TUF X570 and an EVGA 500 GD power supply. For the CPU cable, there are two 4-pin connectors. On the mother board there are two CPU Connectors, one is a 4 pin connector, and the other is an 8 pin connector. Do I put the two cables in the 8 pin connection, or do I need to get an adapter cable? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.
My computer, custom built not from HP or whatever. Last year I bought the Windows 10 Pro New OEM Disc and installed with it. Now I'm replacing motherboard, CPU, Ram etc. I have been told I can use the same Windows 10 to install after I upgrade the motherboard. Another person told me no you have to buy a CD Key for around $25. I tried to call Microsoft Support and had trouble hearing the person and got nowhere. I think he was having a bad day, so I finally said will look at this more. This is what I bought off of Amazon: Windows 10 Pro OEM 64 Bit DVD English. Also shows on the sleeve "This is not a COA". Not sure what that means.
I finally got in touch with Microsoft and told to install and during activation if I understood right will have option to remove old motherboard and active the new one. Gave me a case number that I can use if there is an issue.
I built a pc with x570 plus wifi, and was going to run it without gpu for a while. But I can not get it to boot. Heard from a pc shop that I needed gpu on this motherboard.
Did the case have stock fans on the front? You removed them to mount the liquid cooler on the front? Why not keep them and mount the cooler to the top?
Great video but could use a bit more information about how to set up the front panel. I got my mobo second hand and I've got no manual for it. Also I have 2 power slots for my cpu on the mother board so does it require both the 8 pin and 4 pin slot?
I appreciate the walk through. But wasn't quite step by step. You didn't show what the cables looked like, or how they are put in. IE my power supply EVEA supernova has it's cpu plug as two 4 pins. The receptacle on the MB is a 4pin and an 8pin. So I don't know quite how to address that. Do I put the two 4's from the power into the 8, or do I split them up?
My Celcius S24 came with two mounting methods for an AM4 install. One is the way you installed it and the other is with 4 standoffs and screws which require the removal of the brackets on the motherboard surrounding the CPU. I'm confused as to which I should use. Which is better?
That particular motherboard have a AIO pump conector close to that area you plug and call cpu fan. Did you plug it in a cpu fan or you just call it like that. I’m only asking cause I have the same motherboard and I’m building my first pc ever tomorrow.
I'm replacing my motherboard, CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5700x, Corsair 16gb 2 8s for Ram. Plus, a Samsung M.2 Pro SSD. Will my power supply be adequate. It is a Termalite 650 watt. Also, I have an AMD CPU cooler Fan. Not sure if I should buy a better fan. I checked reviews and it seems some say good and other replaced due to overheating.
So I’ve had that exact motherboard for awhile now, and got an rtx 3060. I’m curious if it matters which pcie slot I put the card in and if I would have to change something in the bios, because I have always used the pcie slot farthest from the cpu. Does it really matter what pcie i put the gpu in ?
Just built a system with 9 5900x and this MO today. On the box there is a sticker " Ryzen 5000 ready". I also asked the sales guy 3 times. You might find still some leftover old stock in not so frequented shops.
@@gero291 it perfectly works with the mo since ive gotten it built it in august, but about the bios i dont think u needed to do it, i also had the sticker
Hey I got a question about the wifi antenna of this mono, I connected it and it’s working but does it have to be outside of the case of where does it have to be put?
If you are using the onboard graphics, you can use this motherboard with any monitor as long as your monitor uses a HDMI or Display Port connector. If you install a graphics card, then you want to connect your monitor to the graphics card and not the motherboard.
How loud is it? Would you say the silence is worth the higher temps? Just wondering since this particular case isn't as known as Fractal Design's or Bequiet's silent cases.
What does it mean if the lever doesnt close when you put the cpu in? I have the same type of cpu and the lever remains rigid if I attempt to click it in.
Hey there is no issues at all. That is how i am having mine mounted as well. It depends on where you are putting your PC. Just make sure where you are putting your PC will have a lot of clear space on the top so the air can outtake properly. Hope that helps.
Because I'm a broke pos, I've been trying to put mine together since the Fall of 2019...nothing works. Swapped out RAM bc the mb displays the DRAM light. Didn't resolve the issue. I'm about to go Office Space on this thing!
Just bought the same motherboard for my RYZEN 9 5950x and it won’t post. The CPU ez bug light is on please help!!!! This is my my 2nd pc build and I have been unable to boot for the whole week. I tried rebuilding the pc already and did not find anything out of place.
Some say they received the MOBO with an updated bios for Ryzen 5000 series, and others say they needed an update. I guess it's a mix bag of when the board is built and if the manufacturer started updating the bios already.
I know this video is old but I had a question about the backside of the gpu when you screw on the back panel if the pins on the back of the motherboard are damaged would it make my pc not boot or say no signal
Your a lifesaver man, I could not figure out the wiring of this thing and you did a great job showing it off.
i have this exact MOBO and i ended up moving my grapics card down so it wasnt blocking the fan at all on the mobo
