I can’t even begin to imagine what Julian went through with everything he experienced, but he came out the other side of the meat grinder a gentle, compassionate and deeply self-connected person, and I wish him the very best!

Julian and his mother have shown themselves to be much nicer human beings than his father and Yoko Ono. John always banged on about how badly his own father behaved and then went on to do the same to his first son. Unforgivable! I loved John for what he achieved with the Beatles, but as a role model he sucks! All the more power to Julian and his mum for rising above such behaviour and getting on with their lives.

If a millionaire (or anyone) divorces you, you take his butt to court and get you and your children's fair share, not live life as a full time victim, while married to other men that you then divorce. She may have loved Julian and I'm sure she did, but she raised him to whine, complain and live as a victim. It's SO unhealthy.
From what I can tell, this guy is a CLASS ACT all the way. Out of all of them, I wouldn't give you 1 knickle for Yoko or John Lennon. This man demonstrates what a hard working and good man can achieve in life.
Like so many parents do, they complain about their horrible upbringing and end up treating their children the same way. Julian turned out to be an intelligent, talented & well-spoken man, thanks to Cynthia. She was one sweet & classy lady.
I'm glad that throughout the years, Paul McCartney was involved in Julian's life and making sure that he was doing ok and was someone that Julian can confide in. There might have been some jealousy there by John towards Paul because Paul knew how to be a great uncle to Julian and always played with him & John could never bring himself to have that kind of relationship with Julian. Sad that John learned how to be a father when Sean was born.
He could have still been a father after Sean was born. Guess who did not want to acknowledge any of John's family . Still , he chose to follow her lead

After John died, Yoko sent Sean who was 5, (her son with John) off to Japan. Then when he came back to the US, she sent him to boarding school in Europe. She washed her hands of her own son because she wanted a life of her own. Yoko took away the home that John's sisters were living in who were orphans,. Threw them out on the street. And she was getting ready to take John's favorite uncle's home away from him. Yoko hated John's blood family. They loved Cynthia and blame Yoko was John's divorce.
Problem was, John bought houses for his family but he wasn’t informed he needed to legally hand the deeds over, he had someone else handle the purchases.
There is SO MUCH MORE... l'm an attorney and as a former journalist, l knew legitimate news when l read it. A major respectable publication did a story on John Lennon's heroin addiction. He at 5'11"(?) was a bed- ridden, 125 pound addict totally dependent on, and a prisoner of the she-demon who brought him his "hits". Why NO ONE intervened is an unsolvable mystery. I didn't know she sent Sean to boarding schools. That had to be a better influence on him than her. Yoko also had a daughter who was raised by daughter's father. Yoko, I believe, gave her up and had no contact with her. Lucky for her daughter, to be away from Yoko. I don't remember if it was the time she scammed her way into John's life. John was a weak man, and not a good man, imo. He was a hypocrite. Peace and love. Haha. He was self centered, and Yoko was possibly evil.
Yoko is in charge of the money. A forty year old John Lennon, or any forty year old father, isn't thinking of death, let alone a will to take care of his kids financially. Yoko is the greed and injustice.
Anyone with the kind of money he had should have had a will to take care of his family and dispose of his estate. John was negligent. A shitty father and a shitty husband. Yoko is a POS, sure, but John should have taken care of Julian and NOT left it to Yoko to handle it. It was stupid and negligent.
Julian said that when John left yoko and went to Mae lei, John called all the time and he was always going places with them when he went back to yoko, it all stopped.

I am from the Beatle era. Yoko was caniving from the begining. First of all, she met John far into the Beatles popularity. Towards the end really. John went to one of Yokos art shows, she said she didnt know who he was!! Come on, EVERYBODY knew who John Lennon was. She knew exactly what she was doing. She posted a pic of him after his death, which is sick as far as I am concerned. The last straw was to cut Julian out of everything. He had to sue her for anything he got. Like he said he bought his Dads memorabilia to bring it back to the family. She is and always was a snake. She knew she was coming between them but yet insisted on coming to every recording session to get her 2 cents in.

@Julian Lennon, c'mon why are you trying to fool people into thinking you are " Julian Lennon " ? unfortunately I can see people are believing it , sad how gullible people are ....
Julian is the one who rightfully should be the caretaker of John’s musical legacy. He’s the first born and has amazing musical talent of his own. It’s very sad how he was treated.
Julian may not have received a financial windfall from his father’s estate, but he did inherit his father’s talent. His childhood artwork inspired an iconic song, his music and voice reflected that of his father’s, and he’s also a talented photographer.
Julian did take Yoko to court to try get what he was entitled to after John died. He and Yoko settled out of court. He was given somewhere between 25 Million Pounds and 50 Million Pounds... the equivalent to between a billion and two billion Pounds today! Julian did what his mother should have done immediately after the divorce. He may have gotten less than if John Lennon's will was written differently. As the actual amount has never been revealed, we'll never know. But. Julian did receive a fortune, after doing what he mother should have done during the divorce. Divorce usually suck, especially for the kids. I certainly didn't want my parents to divorce when I was a kid, but as I grew and became wiser I realized it was the best thing for my parents and as an extension the best thing for me.

Ono, the divider, the one who pulled the final lid down on the Beatles’ ending as a group. As for John, he was his own very miserable, hostile, verbal and physical abusive self. He had grown well into being this way before Ono ever arrived on the scene. Obviously John was a bad seed as a father the first time around with Julian. And that was awfully sad for Cynthia and Julian. And then….time… just ran out, very quickly. Much was lost. Fences still left broken, and never were fixed. And the primary cause of this loss was John. As for Ono, she still deserves no more mentions, at all. Julian and Cynthia became and remained a great team. They turned out to be quite ok. Their personal good rose above John’s personal bad.
Being the son of John Lennon can be a curse and also a blessing, its a fine line to walk. Its a blessing because he is a Legend and a curse if that Legend neglects you.
Julian was left a very small percentage of Johns publishing, and I believe he was trying to sell it in the 80s? I don’t know what became of that? I like Julian, but, many people have bad fathers. And I believe if John had lived,he would have tried to make things better between them? If Sean had been born in 63, he would have been treated the same way as Julian. John was a Beatle, conquering the world, timing is everything!
It may look like Yoko Ono changed John Lennon writing from "Please Please Me" to" "Revolution Number Nine" but no, it was John Lennon himself who "Wrote" that stupid thing, she was only his boss; It is that sad, John Lennon was never again at HIS OWN level from 1968 and he is the only one who must be held accountable for that, not Yoko Ono.
Julian is an amazing person. He turned out to really be a better man than his dad. He had to really make his own career and he has really done well in his life. The heartaches that he went through has really made him a better person. I have so much respect and love for Julian. It is really sad that John did his 1st son like this, but we all might know who really did that. But we do not know, we can guess of course.
Additionally, I am glad Julian looks so much like, and sounds so much like his father. I sincerely hope Ono has had the joy and pleasure of watching and looking at Julian all these years. I hope she been reminded of John, how old she’s grown alone, and what all she took, and lost….too. Oh that darn Karma! Boy can she ever get around when she wants to.
I've no idea what happened to Sean, but in my eyes I can't really bring myself to blame John for being manipulated, gaslighted, and used. He was a man with many mental challenges and issues and couldn't make the right decisions under stress. Everyone was a victim in this story except Yoko. She ruined everything. That's what I think.
My husband was left out of his mom’s will. She left his younger siblings items and other things. It was sad to see him broken. It was like she resented him. What a shame for John Lennon to treat his son like that. It’s sad and painful.

Out of date by several years and, it should be said, millions in court.
Still, it would make sense to ask the question: how can it be in the first place that you abandon your own son not only once by leaving his mother, but in fact twice by leaving him out of your will on top of it?
You marry a manipulative greedy woman----and she is pure hate....
@@Dina-nm1nx I hate Yoko but John's hands are far from clean in this. To treat any child this way(let alone your own flesh and blood) is incomprehensible? It's cruel and selfish! I think John and Yoko were a perfect match in that aspect!
John was a creep, don’t care how talent he was, obnoxious, know it all, telling America what to do about Vietnam war. Leaving son nothing shows how despicable he was . You’d think Yoko and Sean would later compensate him,. So sad.
Agreed but let's not forget about how the Vietnam war was completely unnecessary.

@@johnanderson9494I think quite a few "celebrities" have been described as lousy fathers... I haven't read too many reports of mothers. I just got done reading a bio of Johnny Carson.
I know exactly how Julian feels. The irony is my father was also a musician from Liverpool. The difference was that i was an only child, and my dad cut me out and left everything to his partner (who he wouldn't marry in case it went wrong and she got everything!). She changed her surname by deed pole (that pissed my dad off, and lot of people in the extended family). Despite the fact i lived with them for 12 months, and she used/groomed me to get to him, she was married 6 months after my dad's death, and told her new family that my dad (who she called her husband!) didn't have any children!
That's terrible of her to say. I'm sorry you went thru that.

John was a great songwriter but I never believed one word he wrote in his lyrics.
True, and people justify his shitty behavior on the behalf of his past. A lot of people have had even worse life than John, Look at Chester Bennington, he was neglected by his own parents and was sexually abused, yet he was an excellent father, husband and human being.
Thats correct .All you need is love??? And his son with lack of love and money
I love Julian.. His mother raised a good man. I know what it is to have a crappy father. Mines dead too. He used abused and died. Loving his next wife's kids.
unfortunately we are not always a lucky to have a good family 🤕🙃🥺😢❤️
My God he looks so much like John.
John missed out on Such an incredible son. His “ first family” was the better family BY FAR.
Julian is lucky---that he had a loving caring woman for his mother---and although his father's estrangement was inhumane and caused such unnecessary pain and harm to his son---he had the blessing and true love from his mother to sustain him.
I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this comment.
How his 2nd relationship came about and how he left the first was horrible, no doubt about it. He definitely did not deal with it in an adult way but we can't say it was better or worse because we were not him.
Can you imagine if someone told you, "Oh look at your highschool sweetheart and their children! That would have been a way better family for you BY FAR!"? Maybe that relationship was good for you at the time but now wouldn't fly.
I also have a hard time completely sympathizing with Cynthia. The woman got married 3 more times but never dropped the Lennon name. I would hope it was just because Julian's last name was Lennon and she wanted her name to be the same as her son's, but why didn't she ever attempt to change his last name?
I don't know these people. I don't know what was better for them, worse for them, or why any of them did anything they did.
I will agree with the first part of the statement. He did miss out on an incredible son. He also missed out on Sean too as he was only 5 when he was murdered.
This story goes way back to the 90's , since than Julian did receive an undisclosed but agreed upon amount from the will ... as well they have both gottenn along better ... must be a slow news day to rehash a 30+ year old story...
Yeah, but a lot of people to this day think that John Lennon was a cool guy, a peace lover, and everything. It's good to see behind the facade of our heroes every once in a while.
Julian is a great person, he built his world, and that is very admirable ❤🌟👏
Makes you realize it’s better to be a good man than a great man.
Julian looks just like his dad so sad he cut him out
Okay, but the granny rim eyeglasses is going a step too far, IMHO.
“Imagine no possessions”
As long as Yoko gets to keep her millions. She was a struggling nobody who latched onto John Lennon. The very least she can do in her old age, is give some of the millions she never earned to the eldest son of her late husband.
*Freeloader Julian got around 20 million from John's will. Julian always talks bad about his father John but he took all that money from his father John.*
@@laurasmith7976
I'd like to know where you got that Julian got that much money! Did you watch this video? Sounds like you would be good friends with yoko the witch! Julian made money, on his on , with his music. And then had to struggle to buy his father's belongings when yoko could have given them to him. She wanted more money! And all kids aren't John Lennons, who could have made sure his oldest son was taken care of.
@@elainemclaughlin9417 *I hate Yoko. She's a demon. My neighbor is an accountant and he found out Julian got that. Hello Maria,
How’re you doing?
Thanks for your love, support and for being an amazing fan! ❤️
It's nice meeting you here
Julian got one thing from his father that Sean never did - musical talent. It's not even close.
Says All You Need Is Love, gives none to his son.
A true hypocrite
My son is now 5 (his name is also Julian, although totally unrelated to Lennon as he was born before I got interested in the Beatles) but I cannot understand how any dad could leave their son like John did. I know everyone is different and has different circumstances but I just cannot imagine leaving my son and not seeing him anymore. It would kill me.
Sad how someone could come between family!! Shame on you Yoko!!
Julian got a really bad deal from John, I really feel for him😪
Nobody has a right to their parents' money but if it's true that Yoko was prepared to sell some of his belongings to strangers rather than offer them to Julian first, that must have been upsetting.
Ever heard the expression, "ya can't take it with ya"? If his own son doesn't have a right to it then who does? Considering the pain john caused cynthia and julian, julian had every right to expect a helluva lot more than what he got and should not have been left up to yoko.
I'm glad to this date Sean and julian have got closer, I loved watching Sean interviewing julian and the connection they shared, the clips here julian was younger and learned to forgive his dad, Yoko could of done more, she chose to allow all the inheritance to Sean, and that's sad, I wonder if she ever had regrets on that, I have the respect for jullians mother, she had minimum payments from John and really raised her son alone.
Ironic how John always preached about peace but couldn’t even make it with his own son.
Julian was a sweet child and grew to be a beautiful and gentle soul, no thanks to his dad and that monster Yoko. Cynthia deserves all the credit. Kudos for her. RIP Cyn.
Just saw this video and listened to Mr. Julian's answers to different interviews and I can relate myself to his story.. I was 2 yrs old when I started to seek/ long for my dad's attention or time with me..
I loved his guy Julian, because he is a simply and friendly person. I think he is a talented and a good artist his music is wonderful, but he deserve the best of this world.
She will always be hated by beatles fan and always be known as the one who broke the band up
Julian should have gotten Johns 325 Rickenbackers ! Period!
Yes! that's iconic
Being the son of John Lennon can be a curse and also a blessing, its a fine line to walk. Its a blessing because he is a Legend and a curse if that Legend neglects you.
No blessing.

My heart is full of mixed feelings. I love the Lennon’s so. Father & Son, both have tragic storied stories…
You have his voice and you look just like your dad. Money can’t buy that. Your very. Talented.
I Think Yoko screwed Julian‼️
you got that so right !!!!!
YOU THINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya think 🤔
Real class act that John Lennon. The way he treated Julian was deplorable. No wonder my favorite Beatle was always Paul.
I think she could care less that he looks like John. She has her own life. She had a new boyfriend moving right in after John died.
John was left his parents and he left his son Julian, life goes on Julian you are strong and a nice guy.
If you compare John's musics like imagine and his conducts, you see that he was nothing but a huge hypocrite!!!
Julian seems like a good guy.looks and speaks just like his father.
Hard to respect John, letting an evil opportunist like Yoko manipulate him. Even Sean, you'd think he'd try to help Julian.
