Amazing app with an elegant and very easy to use interface. Adds interest and variation with a few clicks. I never feel fatigued using Audiomodern apps like this - everything is right there and you can instantly see what is going on and stay inspired and experiment.
This would never be free if it was Native instruments! 99USD promo price suckas! Anyway thanks Audiomodern, I promise to buy something from you guys to thank you
We're thrilled to announce that our new gate sequencer plugin is now available! It's free..and it's awesome ⚡ Grab it here: audiomodern.com/shop/plugins/gatelab/
cool amazing vst. thank you a lot for making it free!±!!!!!!! one feature, i feel this vst lacks: More control over Attack/Decay/Release of steps. It seems like feather knob does this job, but it's not that versatile.(only one knob to control everything) sometimes you want this super short and punchy attack gate effect, or more like slow attack.... different tracks - different tasks. hope you add it in the future! all the best
One of the best gate plugins I've ever seen, for sure! Just a suggestion, if possible: make a drag and drop midi for the gate pattern like in Riffer! The CC send to another channel is OK, but I don't really like it and wasn't able to record the midi in Ableton. In the meantime, great job Audiomodern! Awesome plugin!
Thanks for your feedback and suggestion! MIDI CC output is different than MIDI Notes (which for example is available on our Riffer plugin). You can record CC output from Gatelab to Ableton Live in real-time and you can find it under Clip > Envelopes. If you wan to know more about it reach out to our support and we'll help you out > audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
@@audiomodern Thanks a lot for the response! I wasn't able to record de CC output from Gatelab to Ableton Live, but that is my fault hahahaha I'll try the way you guys suggested and if I fail (again) I'll reach out for support in the link provided! Thanks again and keep going! Your plugins keep getting better and better! 🤘👽
this is fantastic, thanks for making it free. one thing I noticed, the Midi feature only works for VSTs, not AU plugins (so others don't get confused like myself)
Thanks for the feedback! AU plug-ins do not support a direct MIDI out. If you wish to route MIDI from a plug-in you need to use the VST version instead. Hope this helps!
How do you reset the preset? Never mind, you just got to it at the end. I like this gate very much, and your tutoriel was extremely helpfull, so Thanks a great deal.
I really love this, it would be really cool to select a preset as the end point for grow, like how you can desintegrate from your preset pattern into silence, you could grow from silence into your preset pattern. Also I think I found a bug, when you use the grow mode with randomization at full intensity, starting from an empty pattern, and using the flow mode; at the end of the growth it will not have all the steps at max volume, it will miss a couple of random steps that do not seem to be affected by grow and stay at 0 through the whole growth sequence. In fact this is so weird because it is always 2 random steps (one on left channel one on the right channel) that do not grow when starting from an empty pattern. Also when you use a random pattern to start growth, rather than empty pattern, then all steps will grow to the maximum, but still 2 will not end up at max volume and remain somewhere in the middle.
That’s a great idea and thanks for your valuable feedback. We can definitely add that option to our engine(s) to our upcoming updates. Thanks for reporting this bug too, once we replicate the problem we can correct with a quick update ✔️
Lovely. Could I say..... a word label with/instead of a cryptic picture can sometimes be much better for the user - and, grey symbols on a grey background is very difficult for anyone with less than perfect eyesight.
At 6:31, where you're demonstrating the Infinity button, you set it to change every "1" bar, but during playback, the grid actually randomizes every 2 bars. It would seem that one time through the grid should equal 1 bar. But the engine cycles through the grid twice before it randomizes. Is this a mistake in the programming?
I would like to change Tempo of the Gatelab without changing tempo of the Logic DAW - I can't do it, the tempo slider doesn't move - why make slider which do nothing? Independent Gate tempo knob/slider is one of the essential creative features of auto sequenced gates.
Looks good, haven't seen a gater with separate L/R gating, can envisage lots of applications for this. However, even with the 'feathering' at 0% the envelope attack and release don't seem fast enough. I would like them much sharper and faster. Is there a technical reason for this? Is this something you could look at? Maybe you didn't want the artifacts associated with extreme gating but you could give us an override switch and let US worry about the artifacts? just a suggestion.... GREAT plugin, thanks!

I followed all the steps from the video to control Midi CC, but I'm not getting any results. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm using it on VSTs, not AUs.
Good plug but how did you guys miss being able to make one gate longer than a quarter note, what if I want a gate to go a half a bar , that's like standard in gates...They shouldn't only be able to be a quarter note....Nice looking plug and still nice tho

Thats bloody great. Love the audiomodern approach to things. Absolute top quality for free. Unreal.
We hope you love it! ❤️
Nice tool. Maybe in the next build you should add a randomizer button for levels of bars (at 19:00)?

I've been playing around with this plugin and is amazing to make sidechain-like effects for dance rock guitars. Great video btw!

How do you change or trigger presets via Key/midi track in cubase?

Hi, it was a minor visual bug with our beta which has been corrected on recent updates!
Seems to me that that auto-random counter is for number of loop iterations rather than bars.
this is awesome guys ty
Thanks!
amazing

Hello Ian, that is correct! We can of course add an “override” function with some additional features as new updates roll. Enjoy!
Yeah, I know this is so amazing. I use Cakewalk but why, can't I use MIDI CC to control the parameters of my synth for Gatelab?
