I didn't need a new plugin, but this is a masterpiece. I've been playing with it all evening and it brings so much life to all my samples. And it breaks me out of the constraints I have sometimes with songwriting. Great stuff.
Thank you for a full walk-through! What a plugin and presets/packs are great! It's now part of my workflow: XLM Audio XO to generate Loops -> Loopmix to chop them up for variation -> Export to DAW.
I've been using UltraLoop for years to do the same thing, but this is a massive upgrade. The ability to quickly drag and drop samples into the interface and then randomise samples using anything in the same folder is a stroke of genius. It so fun to use.
Ultraloop is also confined to the reaktor ecosystem which can be an pro and con depending on the production space one is in , i love all the twisted tool products ,. but i moved from Cubase 7 to Reaper and have sorely missed the Loopmash plugin for a while , this really fills up that space .. Demoing it today and hopefully will pick it up soon too ! :)
Really solid plugin and overview. You guys put a lot of features into this one, making it very powerful for people who want to experiment with their samples. I would love to see more options for the sequencer section, like resolution options for how fine the loops are sliced. Similar to the rearrange tab, where you can choose up to 64 slices for re-ordering, it would be fantastic if the sequencer would follow suit. (Manual slicing would be amazing!) And a swing parameter.
Cool plugin, really enjoying it. Couple of suggestions i would like to see: 1 - Edit of where the transient starts on each slice so you can to tighten them up and remove pops etc. Older breaks are a bit sloppy and I'm finding transients cut off on some parts. 2 - An global track envelope to tighten up slices, this would be useful on percussion loops to make the break less noisy and tight. 3 - Undo on the remixes - if you don't remember to take off clear you then delete remixes already done without getting them back
Sick. Just bought it yesterday. It's well thought out.Customizable and intuitiv in the ease of use. Well donde. The cherry on top: The resizable GUI which not all developers think of.All in all great plugin you can get quick and unique results of and supporting the creative workflow. Thanks ;)
Pretty dang fun. Thanks for this. A couple features that would be great to have in the future... 1. Ability to "Link" tracks... so that when you hit randomize the changes made to all the linked tracks are identical. 2. A reverse disintegration mode of sorts... build mode I guess you could call it... where the patterns start out minimal and build to a certain density from there. 3. The ability to have different slice settings per effect. 4 Slice options for the sequencer. (with measure and speed controls it's nice to be able to get much longer loops that 4 bars so it would be nice have more than 16 divisions for the sequencer like you can with the fx) 5. Some kind of amp envelopes on the slices. 6. Improved time stretching algorithm. Lots of artifacts audible unless your loops are prepared at the same bpm you intend to play them in Loopmix.
Bought it yesterday, and it's really great, I love it absolutely. It still has a lot of potential for future updates, but it's already an amazing creative tool, not only for beats, it works with tonal and atonal material and allows a lot of experimentation. It looks a little like Regroover Pro from Accusonus (the pickpocket company who ran away with our money) but on steroïds with tons more possibilities and imagination.
(Compelling - having a powerful and irresistible effect; requiring acute admiration, attention, or respect). It's like I wished for it... and here it is. Will definitely be giving AudioModern a closer look.
I am having fun with music again off of this plugin. Im grooving. Thank you for this incredible plugin, just posted it on my story after seeing Dahi make dope music with it.
Would love to use loopmix for ambient pad or smooth sounds. is there an ADSR on the lanes so that sound can fade into each other instead of (pluck drum )type
No... looks like transients are not quantized to the grid. Any shuffles/ghost hits etc are not altered. If you did want them to be perfectly quantized you'd have to prepare the loop prior to importing to Loopmix. For example you could warp and quantize in Ableton then freeze/flatten/crop or resample. Overall, for the best sound quality it seems to be a good idea to prepare the loops in the precise BPM and sample rate you will be playing them in Loopmix otherwise some gnarly artifacts seem to occur.
Is there any way of changing the length of the steps? Using 16th division is great form drums but not for vocal loops for instance. Would be nice to be able to have bigger divisions. Thanks!
Step length is determined by the Sequencer speed (1/16, 1/8 etc..) in conjunction with the loop speed (X0.5, X1, X2 etc..) While this can be changed for all the effect tabs after the Sequencer (Slice control menu) , we can include the same in the Sequencer tab as new updates come out.
Fantastic product. And one of the best demonstrations of a product I've ever seen. Perhaps I missed it, but is there no swing or groove control? What about panning?
This is great! Bought it yesterday and played around with it for an hour or so. What I can't get my head around is how to expand the view. I mostly use loops sampled from old records, and these are often 8 or 16 bars. What happens is I am not able to figure out how to see the whole loop - it just plays through 4 bars, making editing the slices a chore. Another issue that comes with this is when I click, say, the first slice in the first 4 bars to remove it in Sequencer, it also removes the first slice in the subsequent 4 bars. Hard to explain, sorry!
Bought the PC plugin, its good. however the export should extract individual chopped layers, not the original clips I throw at it.. it doesn't make sense, why would i want to export a clip that i already got in my library.. also you should add a feature that cover the clicks and cracks from the audio chops, there are too many chops that make a rough volume cuts, some algorithm or feature should solve that, so the sound would be more clean and fluid. thanks.
It's a great plugin! One piece of feedback: For me, it has very specific uses, and I tend to use it rarely just for these. When I return to it after a while, I forgot which button does what, and not all controls are intuitive, so I'd love to have a textual reminder (if only a keyword) in the UI. -> Feature reqeust: Tooltips.
Wow thank you for this plugin I can see this being a start of completely new genre of music🙏 It would be awesome if you were able to ad delay or tape stop (or other fx) onto the fx options besides reverse.
Hey guys, i really love this - but i d wish you could draw volume lines, you know, to adjust the snippets/slices. Often times slices have just some milliseconds of unwanted audio in them and need a volume adjustment /fade in/fade out / silence... So a simple draw-tool for volume curves would improve this pugin a looooot. :)
Looks very interesting. If this could have a VST loader inside to add third party effects to each individual slice.... Maybe there is a SDK of BC Patchwork or something? As I see Loopmix already use SDK of Zynaptiq.
That would be interesting to try for sure. Maybe we can try that on our next updates. For now, a workaround would be to use the multi out on Desktop and process each sequencer individually.
Note I am not talking about integrating standard delay, chorus, reverb, flanger etc. Im talking about a VST loader to let the user load any VST FX they want to actieve total unique sounds and character.

Hey, so I've been using this for a couple weeks... one thing I'm stuck on, how do I stretch or squeeze a loop that doesn't match the project BPM? I figured the length would be adjusted so the in and out of the loop matches the project but that doesn't seem to be the case. Right now if I load an 87bpm loop and a 100bpm loop they play at their original speeds which sounds horrible.
Hi, loops are automatically synced to your DAW/Host tempo upon importing regardless of their original BPM so this shouldn't happen. Please reach out to us as we'd like to learn more: audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
@@audiomodern can I ask one more question? When I am I using one of the preset patches and I unlock a sample (usually the bass or pad) it mutes and can’t be used or randomised. This doesn’t seem to happen with my own loops. Am I missing something?

Hi, the factory library in the full version is bigger than the trial soundset. It can be imported the same way all of our expansions do. @@audiomodern i really appreciate the quick response...which is why my query occurred here and not on Zendesk which i've found to be quite slow historically. i managed to get the Factory Library imported. as you stated it is explained in the manual yet it could be more clearly explained as it is perhaps the biggest requirement before you can use the device....which is absolutely brilliant i must say. i had to, however, delete my plugin and reinstall because when i tried to import a loops sample folder it mashed them in with all the other Factory sounds and would only preview one loop....additionally leaving me no means by which to select/delete them. so we might want to look at that. lastly it'd be nice if we could export individual stems in their mixloop=edited form and not as their original full-loop. i love this monster....great job....keep up the great work.

@@audiomodern To be honest, not really no. I am referring to an “effect” in the sense of an input slot within host apps such as AUM or Audiobus. One would play the sound/app into Loopmix and sample that sound/app, to then use Loopmix as an “instrument. It’s another - far move convenient not to mention spontaneous and interesting way of getting sounds into an app. Does that make sense? Developers for iOS very often overlook this obviousness, sorry if I’m coming across rude I just find it extremely irritating to say the least. To put this another way, any app on iOS which says it plays samples in the sense that it is an instrument, in my eyes should seriously consider the ability to actually sample. Your app in particular, is a prime example of where this ability would truly shine. I’m trying…..🤣
I have loops going back almost 30 years to the Original Acid libs. Take a line of classical, a line of swamp slide guitar, some funk, percussion, reggae... Cheaper (and safer) than (the other kind of ) Acid. KIller product. From power drum grooves to pure stupidity. What a gas!
very nice! question: when i m using it on 4-5 percussion loops and i like a specific remix of them, can i bounce /save the remix to a new file , e.g via drag&drop into the DAW? Or do i have to use the DAWs record function to record the remix as audio clip? And will you ever increase the amount of loops from 6 up to infinity? (could be called crazymode) thanks
Yes, you can do that via drag n drop. Last played remix will be rendered when clicking to export it. About more sequencers/loops, we did our very best to keep the app as less CPU demanding as possible, so it can run perfectly on all systems regardless of the complex audio processing it performs in real time. As with all of our apps though, it will only be improved as new updates roll out. Stay tuned ✊
This is awesome. Anyway that it could add tempo matching to this? So it just time stretches the sample to the BPM you have set in your DAW. I am looking to use my own samples and just got to cut them all at the right length and make sure they are the right BPM which takes time lol

This can trigger loops in any of the different modes and remixes to play back in your project. The same triggering options will be available to Playbeat with our new version update as well.

Well done again 💫. Auv3 support?
Absolutely
why no add folder button on ios 😢
Hey, so I've been using this for a couple weeks... one thing I'm stuck on, how do I stretch or squeeze a loop that doesn't match the project BPM? I figured the length would be adjusted so the in and out of the loop matches the project but that doesn't seem to be the case. Right now if I load an 87bpm loop and a 100bpm loop they play at their original speeds which sounds horrible.
Hi, loops are automatically synced to your DAW/Host tempo upon importing regardless of their original BPM so this shouldn't happen. Please reach out to us as we'd like to learn more: audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
Amazing! Would love to route each one to separate audio out as well. But that’s for later. For now - congrats!!
Multi out is currently available on the Desktop version. ✌️
@@audiomodern awesome. Congratulations again. I might create a preset pack for it!
@@audiomodern can I ask one more question? When I am I using one of the preset patches and I unlock a sample (usually the bass or pad) it mutes and can’t be used or randomised. This doesn’t seem to happen with my own loops. Am I missing something?
@@all1nz Can you please send us a screenshot so we can understand better? 👉 audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
@@audiomodern think I figured it out. Needed to highlight again in sequencer tab. Very powerful this
Amazing program, love it! I have to record the output signal though because when I extract it in the program the output file sounds terrible. Strange

Might have missed this, but I didn't see a swing function. Is that possible? If not, is it possible to add in a future update? :)
Swing is not possible at the moment as Loopmix is designed to split the grid evenly based on the tempo or custom grid settings. It might be an interesting feature and we will test this out.
@@audiomodern Not a deal breaker for me at all... this thing is so full featured! It would just be icing on the cake. :) Not sure how I missed the product on launch - I was looking for an alternative to Loopmash at that time. Glad to have found it now. Thanks for the speedy response!
If I buy the complete suite do I get future plugins that become part of the suite for free? That should be part of your marketing strategy.
Interesting, creative, good job!
having trouble understanding how to import the factory library bank. it was automatic with the trial version...your PDF manual needs rework in this regard.
first it says when you first open in your DAW there are no samples loaded....then says all the samples are clearly organized while neglecting to show HOW you import them. please help....
loved the trial version....full version with Factory sounds would be nice. thanks...
Hi, the factory library in the full version is bigger than the trial soundset. It can be imported the same way all of our expansions do. Simply click on the “Import Pack” in the preset manager and click ok. This is explained in the manual and we have a separate PDF inside the expansion folder too. If you still have questions please reach out to us and we’ll help you out 👉 audiomodern.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
@@audiomodern i really appreciate the quick response...which is why my query occurred here and not on Zendesk which i've found to be quite slow historically. i managed to get the Factory Library imported. as you stated it is explained in the manual yet it could be more clearly explained as it is perhaps the biggest requirement before you can use the device....which is absolutely brilliant i must say. i had to, however, delete my plugin and reinstall because when i tried to import a loops sample folder it mashed them in with all the other Factory sounds and would only preview one loop....additionally leaving me no means by which to select/delete them. so we might want to look at that. lastly it'd be nice if we could export individual stems in their mixloop=edited form and not as their original full-loop. i love this monster....great job....keep up the great work.
@@audiomodern i just checked my device and it seems the reinstall failed to wipe the imported samples when i open my samples tab....and they are still mashed in with the Factory content and not in a separet users folder. i will send a screenshot via slow zendesk support...
It would be very nice if it was possible
Scrolling to wind stems quickly.
Skronig and stems and encoders for mouse scrolling please!
How does this work with melody loops???
no one seems to be demonstrating it in their videos. 🤦🏽
Have you checked our Preset video? 👉 ua-cam.com/video/7YpUhdLB_jQ/v-deo.html
Its lika a "new" Looperator of SuagraB - awesome
Only thing id like to see is a better de-clicker, transient detector. Getting quite a lot of pops/clicks when using.
How would I make a loop in 3/4? Or am I stuck in 4/4 only?
You may adjust the range slider right above the sequencers to match your desired number of steps.
@@audiomodern Beautiful. Purchasing right now

How can I send out midi from Loopmix to control another synth?
What are you trying to control exactly?
@@audiomodern I did see that in the description that it was written, "Send MIDI to any Device, Plugin or Hardware", so I'm just trying to get more info on it and what I can do with it. Where can I find this info?
@@Noldy__ You can use the data generated by the Pitch tab by exporting the midi directly from the export tab. If you want to “feed” another module in real-time then a midi generator would be more efficient 👉 audiomodern.com/shop/plugins/riffer/
Can’t use it as an effect on iOS to record. This is without doubt absolute madness! 😂
Hi 👋, Loopmix is an instrument, not an effect plugin. Hope that makes sense.
@@Monotonous-Tedium workaround tip, sample inside AUM directly and then use the sample in Loopmix :)
Hi , so we can't choose the key of those mentioned scales?
Hi, you can adjust the root note for each of the sequencers and transpose the imported loops.
I have loops going back almost 30 years to the Original Acid libs. Take a line of classical, a line of swamp slide guitar, some funk, percussion, reggae... Cheaper (and safer) than (the other kind of ) Acid. KIller product. From power drum grooves to pure stupidity. What a gas!
Thanks for your feedback. Your satisfaction is our reward.
very nice! question: when i m using it on 4-5 percussion loops and i like a specific remix of them, can i bounce /save the remix to a new file , e.g via drag&drop into the DAW? Or do i have to use the DAWs record function to record the remix as audio clip? And will you ever increase the amount of loops from 6 up to infinity? (could be called crazymode) thanks
Yes, you can do that via drag n drop. Last played remix will be rendered when clicking to export it.
About more sequencers/loops, we did our very best to keep the app as less CPU demanding as possible, so it can run perfectly on all systems regardless of the complex audio processing it performs in real time. As with all of our apps though, it will only be improved as new updates roll out.
Stay tuned ✊
@@audiomodern perfect
This is awesome. Anyway that it could add tempo matching to this? So it just time stretches the sample to the BPM you have set in your DAW. I am looking to use my own samples and just got to cut them all at the right length and make sure they are the right BPM which takes time lol
Hi, Loopmix is designed to work with loops. An editor is something that we can try an add as new updates roll out.
@@audiomodern it doesn't has to be a fully editor. just some simple tasks like trim in and out and then stretch automatically to the grid. just like sampling in koala sampler
@@leoerichmann2636 We're on it.
On the ipad, does one have to download the whole 1.5gb sample pack or can one download just one pack, to save space? Great vid by the way. Thank you
Hi, the factory library is optional for both the iPad and the desktop version.
Thank you, but can you install just part of it on the ipad, not the whole pack.
@@noodlingaround2023 The factory library comes as one pack at the moment. Our upcoming expansions will come as separate downloads as always.
This may be the new go-to for vocal chops? 😯
What is the big red button in the middle for ? Can this record live audio ?
Random button. This does not record.
how to export each beat separately?
@@tylergameplayroom You may export your stems or full mix via the export tab.
@@audiomodern I need to export from the generated full loop, separately the kick road, snare road and hats
@@tylergameplayroom Loopmix has been designed to export each sequencer 1-6 separately or the full mix. It doesn’t separate instruments or drum elements.
@@audiomodern wait for loopmix version 2 with this option 😃
Is anyone using this for styles other than D&B as most everything seems to be this kind of style?
You can check out our factory library demo here: ua-cam.com/video/7YpUhdLB_jQ/v-deo.html and the expansions that are available on our page. In any case, the results heavily depend on the loops you 'feed' into the engine. Hope this helps!
@@audiomodern thanks guys
Aphex Twin in a box
How about different samples on each lane with chopping capability.
Yes, you can add different loops on each lane.
Brilliant!
Amazing ❤
great VST.. but, I struggle like how to make a truthful arrangement with Playbeat... and with this VTS , I just seen , just playing but not creating full tracks a less that I still not find a truthfully tutorial in how to do a real working flow
Hi, with Loopmix it is possible to make a midi arrangement using keyboard mode to play back as you would normally do with any other instrument plugin.
This can trigger loops in any of the different modes and remixes to play back in your project.
The same triggering options will be available to Playbeat with our new version update as well.
Awesome! 🤩
A very comprehensive walk through. I do wish, however, you could have chosen some different styles of playing. It's kind of difficult to hear what random is doing when a beat has sound on every step. A very clever plugin, none the less.
Didn't see this coming.
Feeling optimistic!
Very nice! But it's a pity that the panoramic is missing
This would be even more awesome with an option to route each track to its own audio out
Hi, this is already possible in the Desktop version.
@@audiomodern Fantastic!! Thank you ❤️

@@audiomodern I'm using the demo and maybe its not available in the demo. If it is available, how do I set a separate output for each lane?
@@V12_smoke This should be handled by your DAW. You should be able to create new tracks on your DAW and choose Loopmix as inputs on each of those tracks. Can you confirm?
@@audiomodern I see. They are already set and can't be changed. I was thinking that I could select the outputs in the Loopmix Mixer section.
@@V12_smoke Yes, they should be already set from 1 to 6 and you should be able to choose whichever combination works for you.
how does this work with loops of different bpms?
Hi Bele, the loops are automatically adjusted to plugin/host speed upon import. It doesn’t matter if loops in the same preset have different bpm’s.
I'm intrigued by this as an Ableton user but I kept waiting for a description on the slicing abilities and things such as fade in and fade out to the slices and I got tired of waiting. Maybe I'll download and check it out. I think a better demo for a newbie would be to have less tracks and to start from scratch.
Shut up and take my money!🔥
