    I could never go by the recommendations either, I've never had a baby and I have heavy, nasty periods!!! So I'd wear the bigger one anyways to make sure I caught the flow. PCOS isn't a fun thing to have.

      Same!! I'm under 30, never had a baby, and size 2 cups are my go-to. I have a high cervix and a heavy cycle. Even with a high capacity cup, I'm emptying it every 4-6 hours at the heaviest part of the period... Size 1 wouldn't be worth my time.

    I absolutely love the Honeypot Co. I use several of their products. Their cup was the first one I purchased and I haven't use it in quite some time. I have gravitated to the Saalt cup and I feel that after about 6 or 7 cycles I have finally mastered using these things. lol

    Hey, so I’m 17, and about a month ago a bought my first cup thanks to you guys, it’s a diva cup size 0. I’m still trying it out, however, I had a little bit of a scary experience today... it’s my second cycle using this cup, but I only wore it on the last 3 days of the first cycle (last month), if that makes any sense.
    Today, the first day of my cycle, I was trying it again (it was great). But then when I was taking it off, even though I held it pretty high to pull it down, the suction didn’t break 🙈🙈 and it REALLY hurt! After a bit twisting, the suction broke and I pulled it out. But my question is... could that damage my cervix, or anything down there? I’m so scared of hurting something and then it being irreversible or something.
    Most of this fear also comes from an article I read saying a menstrual cup could damage the muscles in your cervix and that rlly got to my head.
    Please help me out!

    Hey girl, you are gorgeous! ❤ Many thanks for your share .. much gratitude for your input. I too have a moving cervix. Yes, agree with the more efficient approach to size and timing. I am completely agreeing with you on the idea of hollow stems being places for bacteria to grow. The stem being a hollow tube is a negative accent to the cup itself. ❤

    I just bought this cup yesterday and it would not pop open. I’ve used cups before and had no problem so idk if it’s firmer but it just wouldn’t pop. I had to stick my finger in there and push it open with my finger. It also has such a strong suction that I can’t get the seal to break very easily. However I will say it’s getting easier as I learn the cup. But it’s definitely not my favorite

    I was using saalt cup and i kinda like the saalt cup because it hold up so well until it is extremely full. But it was the way too hard to release the suction and take it out because it is very slippery. So i tried sth new. Tieut cup. Korean cup. So cool. Suction is good. Very easy to take it out as it is not slippery at all. But sad thing is, when it is too full, there will be one or two drops on ur undie whilst doing yoga. But generally i love it!

    Hey I just found this channel and am hoping to get some advice. I tried the diva cup for the first time yesterday and.. it was kinda painful. Like just inserting it and taking it out was really painful. Once it was in properly it was fine. But especially when it was time to take it out, the top thick lip of the cup kinda hooked into the tissue surrounding my entrance and it was really painful taking it out. And that's with me squeezing the base of the cup properly. Any helpful suggestions and hints would be welcome.

    • @sanyuktaparab8811

      I too face the same problem
      ... so according to my experience i suggeest to remove it in such a way that the cup is fully folded (C shape) and if it's not folded then it makes suction around the wall when removal like how u expained it so... at that time don't pull it just break the seal first...pinch the base and then use ur thumb..first finger and middle finger and fold the cup... the cup is super easy and painless to remove...
      Hope it helps....😊

I'm doing a life guard training course and part of it swimming down to the bottom of the pool to retrieve things (It's a 2 meter or 6 foot deep pool). I would go for the A size. I started using the A size when I was 16 without any problem with inserting or removing. The teen size might be a good option if you also never used tampons but normally the A size should fit. Also the capacity of the teen size is very low so if you have a heavyer flow that might not be an option

    • @helensalisbury1910
      @helensalisbury1910 4 роки тому +1

      The recommendation is to wear it for a maximum of 12 hours before you take it out and wash it. As soon as it’s emptied and rinsed you can put it back in. And therefore use it for the whole period. You may need to take it out and empty it more frequently if you have a heavy period. Hope that clarifies.
