For anyone looking for a large capacity cup and has a high cervix, this is an amazing cup. I don't need a $40 luxxe cup, I just need one that is comfortable, affordable and leak proof. If your someone that has to empty your cup hourly at times, this is worth a try for sure.
Okay, how does that work for high cervix? Bc the cup gets pretty much lost inside of me every time. Would love to know what you do.
I really liked this cup a lot. The extra capacity really helped on my heavier days. For a small price, it gave me another cup to try without spending a lot of money. I liked how simple it was. I don’t need bells and whistles. I just need it to work. 🤣🤣🤣
Totally get that! I love the "bells and whistles" of amazing packaging and branding. But that's just the kind of person I am. The cup itself is a good design and shape and a GREAT price. :)
Jen Solomon how effective is it I have never used a cup and thought this was a good option
your glasses frames remind me of menstrual discs...lol
Just got my cup and testing it out. Whoa, I highly recommend a dry run! The cup is 30% larger so it didn't slide right in like my other cup (Saalt Soft Regular). I used the Punchdown fold (small point of insertion!), guided it in and used my thumb to pop it open. Retrieval was really easy due to the bell shape.
Can't believe I'm excited for my next period to try it out for real.
ETA: Finally got to use the cup and it went smoothly. I cut the stem and felt a bit of pressure on my bladder for an hour but no problems after that. I'd recommend the cup to anyone who's looking for a high capacity cup that isn't too expensive or too firm.
I just finished my second cycle with the large cup...and I think it’s my Goldilocks cup! I need the large capacity, so it’s always a relief to have one like this available. I’ve only tried 4 different brands of cups over the last decade or so, but this is my favorite so far.
My one complaint with you guys (Kim and Amanda) is that you describe yourselves as cervix twins, and both claim fairly light periods. You don't seem to 'get' how awesome high capacity is!
This is the best cup I’ve ever owned! I’ve never had a leak with either the large or small
I found this cup in the comparison chart after the ball stem of my SJ broke. I bought it because of its capacity and price, and it's my goldilocks! No leaks, not even wipe leaks. I could sleep for 8 hours on my period for the first time in my life!!!
Is it really firm compared to super Jennie? I have super Jennie small but sometimes hard to open I need a slightly firmer cup. Looking into lily cup, lena sensitive, venus cup, or dot cup.
@@Glamrgrl104 it is more firm and easier to open than the super Jennie.
@@mariquiparacristo ty for quick reply. Is the only place to get it on Amazon?
@@Glamrgrl104 I live in South America, so yes, I got it on Amazon and someone brought it down for me. I wouldn't know where else to purchase it.
Solid feedback! The setbacks actually help me want this cup so I know what to look out for
I got the Venus cup on one of the worst periods I've ever had in my entire life. That cup is a LIFE SAVER! However, it is a very tall and wide cup, I would not suggest for someone who has a low uterus or a flow that isn't so heavy.
pretty nice capacity! Cute cup *-*
My Venus cups didn't come in a plastic bag.
this is the best one I've tried.... and I've tried 3 other ones
Thanks for weighing in! It wasn't the cup for me but I've heard many great things. That's the awesome thing about cups... so many options to find what works. -K
I was able to fill up a size 2 diva cup in about 5 hours and it would spill over, so I got the Venus cup and never had any overfill problems. I only use this cup now.
I got the large cup and I tried it for a while but it seemed to be a bit too firm for me or I could feel it on my bladder as well as I just kept having issues with leaking but it wasn't full so I switched to my Super Jenny but I would definitely like to try it again I mainly bought it because of the capacity because I have a very heavy period.
I really like this cup. Dont have to change it as often
I would love to see you do a video on the Yuuki cups.
I have never used a cup but I would be willing to try it
Should've definitely watched this before. So enlightening. I really really really loved this cup when I first got it. Was so excited to find one that could possibly hold more than the usual menstrual cup. Having a heavy flow is stressful enough and the thought of having to insert/remove the cup multiple times a day made me squeamish. But the larger Venus cup seemed promising: good design (check), easy to remove (check)... Knowing that there is a learning curve to every cup, I prepared myself for the journey. But almost a year in and I'm falling out of love FAST. This cup is too soft and difficult to open once inside. There will be times in a day that I manage to get it to open but it's way less than when i epically fail at it. None of the folds were completely successful (although the labia fold works most of the time). I almost gave up several times and it felt like I was giving myself a pap smear just trying to get the blasted thing open. The learning curve is a bit too much and I can't swear by it anymore. This cup is definitely not my friend on heavier days. Too many leaks. Although strangely enough, this cup is a dream on lighter days.
Have a Venus cup I got the part amd its so big. I think its too big. I leak with it every time.
I have heard you have to twist it upward to prevent leaking
Convenient you do a review on this before my next period. I got one (my first cup) that arrived around the end of my last period... tried a couple of different days... wouldn’t go in. I don’t usually have problems with tampons, although I hardly wear them. I tried the small, (I’m 17) just to see because I have a heavy flow. I tried different folds, I was really careful to make sure I relaxed.... It just wouldn’t go in.
You have this one? Venus Small? Maybe try this combo- a labia fold with silicone safe lubricant. You can practice now before your period begins again for less stress and pressure, and the lubricant can help when you're on your period and when you aren't. And if you're frustrated or sore don't over do it. Wait another cycle or two and try again. We have a great group for troubleshooting and support if you want or need it. vag.life/cupnation
Put A Cup In It Thank you so much for the reply! I appreciate the advice
Put A Cup In It Wasn’t able to get a lubricant, but my period came round again and I tried the other fold, worked like the charm! Thank you again so much.
I had the same suctioning to my cervix with this cup! This cup gave me severe cramping...like the worst cramps in my life! I really need a higher capacity cup but the pain this cup gave me was not worth it😔
Does anyone have good pictures of the "grips" on the base. I'm assuming that the ml measurements on the inside are raised? I always need to turn m my Lena's inside out to get rid of the grips as they are super rough feeling. I'm looking for something with really gentle texture.
This isn't the kind of cup you can turn inside out. It has an inner raised ring that you probably wouldn't like. The measurements are also slightly raised. The "grips" on the outside are more of an indented pattern and not rough at all.
Thanks.
I've actually gotten the Venus now. The lotus grip pattern at the base is very comfortable. Even the stem is softer and doesn't irritate me!
Does anyone know if it’s ok to buy a cup and forget to boil it before use?? I put mine in about an hour ago and just realized I forgot to boil it
You're probably fine, it's a good practice just to be safe. But yeah, likely just fine.
Would you recommend getting both sizes? In just don’t know what size to get. I’m in my 30’s but never had kids. I got the regular size Saalt cup and the first cycle I used it , it was painful and awful. I tried it again a second cycle and it fit okay but I can’t seem to figure out how to pee with it in and not peeing in the Cup.
On a really heavy day the large works okay for me. I have made it about 3 1/2 hours with it. It may not be full, but it may leak on hour four. On any weaker day it hurts me. It suctions onto my cervix and is hard to remove from my extremely high cervix. Secondly, I get odd leaks that I cannot fix. After 10 years of cups I thought I could troubleshoot any cup. Well, apparently I cannot. Those dang mystery leaks!
maybe check with a gynecologist to see if you have a tilted cervix? i read someone else’s story similar to yours in which the cups were always leaking. turns out the cups they were using were fine its just that she needed to position them at an angle due to a tilted cervix.
My cervix does tilt. I have had it checked by a gynecologist. It seems to move wherever it wants to. My sister and I have both experienced a "sloshing" happening. This is where the cervix moves more than normal. It is kind of like your stomach when you have have a higher volume of water. Our Dr. had us schedule visits weekly for a couple of months. Or cervixs seem to have no pattern, they just rock where they wish.
The Venus Cup is my goldielocks cup.
Took me till my 30s wish I did this stuff years ago what a game changer lol 😆
Do you wanna do a me luna cup review pleas PS im duch
Mine didn't have any plastic
I looooove this cup!!!! Best than saalt
make bloody body cup review please❤️❤️❤️
Does anyone who has a low cervix, have tips for me? I really just haven’t found a good cup that doesn’t leak
I got the Venus bc I have a heavy flow, but with a very high cervix, removing the cup takes forever (between finding the little beast, pushing it down and pinching out). Need a longer high capacity cup. Still searching.
I understand her point on plastic packaging, however from the stand point of purchasing from places like eBay or Amazon, it can give you some peace of mind that it wasn’t already used and being resold.
I had ordered this one and i am waiting for it, now after i heard that it had a mysterious leek i am afraid it is going to happen to me, my mom would make fun of me (i told youu it is only for married people) goood i can get over this stupid ideas
But i hope it works for me
So I'm set for Over 11 years have everything to keep all things in good condition lol I have way to many things lol 😆
What do I do if I have already bought a cup and it doesn't work for me? Should I toss it??
If you're comfortable with it we have a B/S/T linked in our community. vag.life/cupnation
I sold some of my previous cups on fb groups but PayPal sucks bc never got to use the money. Shipping is almost as much as buying another cup too. So might throw away mine next time.

On my heaviest night the large saalt only gave me 4 to 6 hours before it need changed so I got the large Venus for the capacity because I hoped it could give me 8 hours of sleep before it need changed. It was even better then I hoped I got 9 hours of sleep on my heaviest night. It was amazing and you can’t beat the price.
Elisabeth Arbuckle looks like I’ll be buying the large one then. I’m extremely heavy my first 3 days and I use the large saalt cup and I can get only 4 to 6 hours
That's amazing! Thank u for sharing. Same happens to me with the Saalt large at night. So, seems like the large Venus might rescue my heavy nights!
That is amazing! I am so happy for you. That is a dream of mine.
I have the Saalt duo pack. I use the large and I have to empty it every 3-4 hours on my first couple of days. Is it any good? The shape kind of freaks me out
