Nixit Cup Review | New Reusable Disc

- You have been asking how the Nixit Cup works and we finally have a video review for you! The Nixit Cup is actually a reusable silicone disc that is similar in size and shape to the Flex disc, or the Soft Cup and Instead discs. Nixit is much softer, and while it worked great for Kim it didn't go quite so well for Amanda.

I'm always so amazed at how disgusted people are by their own bodies.
I've used the instead cups since I first heard about them from a friend. Blew my freaking mind. I just ordered my Nixit last night. I'm super pumped. This is going to be my first foray into the reusable menstrual product.
Thanks for the review video! Very informative. :)
As far as the price goes, people should remember that Nixit does have a refund policy. They want you to try it for 3 cycles and if it's just not working for you, they will refund you and take it back (I'd guess they recycle it). $50 if you already like a disc isn't bad considering how much the Flex discs cost!
Rena McGurk yeah but how much would that cost to send it back to Canada ?
"Due to the nature of our product, we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds. All sales are final." - letsnixit.com/pages/faqs i think they may have changed that policy
They don't do refunds anymore and the price went up to $67
Just FYI this is no longer true. No refund no exchange for nixit
@@marigoldgirl81 get one from aliexpress, mine was 5 eur and I even got a case with it
I love it! I’ve tried the Diva cup and the Blossom and always had leaks and could feel it all the time. It always felt like a tampon that was halfway out. Trying the Nixit was my last try at cups/discs and from the first time I inserted it it was good to go! No leaks and couldn’t feel a thing. My ultimate test was going overnight and not one leak! Nixit is the way to go for me!
I was only here for the Nixit review but that poop story made me a subscriber. I love how honest you are!!
Great review! Trying to find my perfect cup. Never heard of a disc until now. Thank you for being so open and honest :)
I just saw an ad for these and I was curious about it! Thanks for the review!
I finally found my Goldilocks cup/disc after 5 years of searching. The Nixit cup handle my heavy menstraul days like a champ. It holds up on my heavy days for 4 hrs vs 1hr with menstraul cup. It is worth every penny on this product! I don't care about period sex... I care about high capacity and it holds up to 70 ml👏🏾🙌🤸🥂 I've tried every high capacity cup out there and all did nothing for my heavy menstraul days....
I just got my Nixit and have been using it for the last 4 days. I am amazed. I have a low cervix. It doesn't leak, it's comfortable, and period sex is mess free (and my partner didn't feel it). This is so amazing, I am going to test it tomorrow during a workout. All the cups that I have used over the years have leaked, slid out, or were just uncomfortable.
I'm so confused about the sex thing. If you can feel it with your finger, wouldn't your partner feel it too?
Awesome review! I had tried the Nixit because of ItsJustKelli’s review and I’m so glad I did! Traditional cups never quite worked for me. My cervix is pretty high and I had a hard time trying to remove them. I used Nixit for the first time during my last cycle and it’s my Goldilocks cup. It’s much easier for me to insert and remove than a traditional cup was and I didn’t have any issue with it untucking from behind my pubic bone. I’m so glad I finally found a cup (well technically a disc) that works for me! #nomoretampons
Thanks for your reviews and honesty from both!!
Thank you for the honest review!
I don't know how or why ya'll were a suggested video for me but Im kinda glad now. I am 54 now and had a hysterectomy five years ago. At that time I was using the Instead softcup. Those worked well for me as I'm tall and have a high cervix. I never tried a cup but I am thinking the FemmyCycle had just come out and I kinda wanted to try it but surgery happened. (Due to having a double masectomy and two-for-one anaesthesia type situation) I had EXTREMELY HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY periods and was thankful to get that taken care of. Removal for me was always nerve-wracking! I would have appreciated a string of some sort to pull and not have to bear down and finger it out. Bleck! Anyway, I think these reviews are a great service for women!
Thanks for an awesome review! I've been a Diva cup user for years, looking forward to trying my new Nixit (delivered tomorrow hopefully hehe).
Could we have a video by Amanda with her recommendations for people that have medium/low cervix, sensitive bladders, and what cups work best for her.? That would be amazing. I'm new to cups and really needing to find one that doesn't put pressure on my bladder.
Thank you for sharing your vulnerable funny story... I can TOTALLY appreciate that!
Thank you guys for posting this! I’ve had A LOT of trouble getting menstrual cups to work but have had a lot of success with flex discs. I’m about to buy a nixit. Thank you for helping me come to this decision. I think I’m just a disc person.
I have never had a good experience with the Diva cup (uncomfortable, not sealing, etc.). I bought a Nixit, and LOVE IT! No leaks yet through an entire cycle :)
Thanks, I've been curious about these.
Appreciate the honesty...because we’ve all been through similar situations, or will go through haha. Thanks for the review!
This is the review I’ve been looking for I’ve heard good things about this one and hope it works for me
I completely swear by discs, so I’m planning on getting Nixit this summer, and I’m super excited
I just started using the Flex Disc and I have to say it's soooo much better than using tampons and pads. So far I haven't had any leaks and NO MORE CRAMPS ! I'll be trying the Nixit next but I want to get used to the Flex Disc a little more.
Am on my first cycle with Nixit and love it! I've tried 3 other cups and never had success, they ALWAYS leaked. I would highly recommend it! (Definitely don't remove it in public - shower is best!)
I have just used my nixit during my last cycle, I have a lowish cervix and it’s tilted. The nixit worked fantastically, on this particular cycle every cup I used leaked. I think the nixit may be my Goldilocks. Only thing I did notice was it did slow my flow when weeing, more so than cups but i don’t care, still love it xx
Omg!! I have the same problem too and I’m still trying to figure out why nothing, I mean NOTHING works for me. Everything I use just slips and I’m thinking it’s because my cervix is low.. but I don’t know!! Do you think the nixit could be for me too?
Lisa Summer I don’t know why I can’t get cups to work for me but I really love my nixit. It is perhaps a little large for me but it seems to get more comfortable with ever cycle that passes. I have tried the Lumma but I still have issues with that from time to time, I have mastered my nixit and it just works. I have learnt a lot about my body using it and this for me is a bonus. I don’t know if it will work for you but my advice would be to try! They will refund you after 3 cycles if you can’t get it to work and they are really good at responding to emails and comments, if you have any questions they will offer advice xx
Nancy Raftery thank you so much!
Can confirm I have the same issues and nixit works perfectly !
I just started using Nixit! So far I've liked it since I literally just started my period today, but there IS a learning curve. There are only two concerns I have so far: the material and the initial packaging. I have a dog who sheds, so every time I'll put Nixit in, I will scour the disk with hot water, etc, to make sure there aren't any dog hair or anything else on it, since if it's dry it can some how use static electricity, since it is silicone and attract hairs. As cute and well put together the different color magnetic boxes are, to me, and I'm sure many other costumers, a one time use box. I'm never going to use it again and I'm not sure what to do with it. I would have appreciated an option aside from a color of a minimal packaging option, like wrapped in paper or something along those lines. Regardless, I'm excited to continue using Nixit! The reason why I wanted to start using it was bc my menstrual cup before kept moving and leaking, since I move my legs towards my chest often to sit or sleep, and I wanted a better solution than just being even more uncomfortable and rigid on my period.
Thank you for the honest video!!
awww noo the drunk story XD... but so proud that you share that strory. noone is perfect and this is why its fun
I love how the "how to" videos are not even close to the position you would actually be in to insert or remove. ;)
yeah, right!?
This video is called review not how to
Serena E shes not talking about this video, she’s talking about the how to on their website.
Stacey W I was just thinking that! Who actually sits on the toilet to do that? I’m always squatting or have my leg up on the tub or toilet
@@nancyc7819 I do actually sit on the toilets to put on my cup, nice to meet you :')
thank you for this video! I've been wanting to get this for a few months now but really hesitant to take the plunge due to the price. I love my saalt cup but i have a really high, tilted cervix and sometimes the suction becomes too strong up there and it's really a pain to take it. I'm thinking a suction free disc would be worth a try.
Hi! I have a nixit cup and i love it! Ive worn it and am on my second month. I do recommend it. I have never used a cup like diva or saalt.
It does get frustrating sometimes, but ive found that putting it in while squatting works better than just "lifting up a leg" and all that jazz. Definitely takes practice and patience
Interesting. I don't know why people choose to lift a leg or anything. I just ordered mine and reading over their site, their recommendation is to squat over the toilet.
Yes, squatting is the way to go for insertion! I remove mine sitting on the toilet and bearing down.
@@Reeeeeeeeeena89 I agree! Lifting a leg definitely makes it harder to insert.
Hey! I currently use a diva cup and I really enjoy how convenient it is because I usually only remove and empty and reinsert every 12 hours (all day and all night) but sometimes on day 1 when flow is heaviest, I leak halfway through the day. Does the Nixit last longer for heavier flow days?
I think It would be very interesting a video of you explaining how to take care of your cup in case of diseases like candida, bacterial vaginosis, infections in general. I mean to keep It as clean and safe as possible. Is boiling enough? I just bought my first cup and I already love It, Thank you for all your advices!! You're doing a great job for every woman and our Planet!
(I'm writing from Italy, so Sorry for any mistake I did! ❤️)
That’s a great suggestion, we’ll make a note of it. Thanks!
Eirene _ great idea! My very first cup was a diva cup- years ago. I got a yeast infection like the week before that period and despite sanitizing it intensely I felt like it never got “cleaned” and I had at least two more infections the following periods. I’m 99% sure it was bc of the cup so I tossed it :/
I agree for that reason I just decided to use the soft disc because I can throw them out.
You could just not wear a cup or disc during the infection >.> pretty simple.
I boil it before every period and I wash it with menstrual cup soap everytime I change it. I haven’t had an infections or anything. Always wash your hands before taking it out and putting it in
Nixit is great for me! And now they have a payment plan of 4 payments of 12ish dollars every two weeks for 6 weeks which is amazing because I have to budget and I thought it was super thoughtful of nixit to do that and make it more affordable
I wasn’t on board before but now since I have tried a disposable disc and I love it better than a cup
The idea of "securing it behind my pubic bone" wigs me out so much.
it's definitely a more intimate experience trying to locate bone behind your vaginal tissue but in reality it's kind of intuitive... sort of. Really if you just push up the side unless you have Amanda's hostile vagina it should find that home and nestle in. -K
same, I found some advice on reddit though & it seems to be working so far: The directions on the side of the box did not work well for me. I found a you tube video of someone who said they have you bear down with their cervix while pushing up on the edge with your finger. Then you have to suck up and in. That seems to work for me.
I feel the same lol.
Cups are so intimidating for me. I love my cloth pads. I want to try a cup but gah... idk if I can do it.
I hated tampons. And Cups aren’t that appealing to me.. but I do love watching reviews of them.
@@JaysNest oh man, I was exactly the same 😆 I got tired of putting my cloth pads in the laundry though, so I finally gave cups a try. I freaking love my cup, and I am one of those people who can't wear a tampon. You should think about giving it a try!
@@JaysNest oh hey girl! You inspired me to get cloth pads, haha i love em too!
I love you both!! I’m currently waiting, not so patiently, for my nixit to arrive. I’m praying to the vagina heavens that this thing works for me because I’m not a fan of spending $50+ on period gear, but I’m remaining hopeful!! 😃 Always love hearing positive reviews, especially after I’ve spent the money.
Nixit has a refund policy!!!
Thank you, Rena!! That is wonderful news! I have to be honest, I’m not too happy to be waiting so long for this thing to arrive after spending a decent amount of money in shipping 😑
@@paradisefoundasmr Hopefully it will be worth it. I'm really excited to get mine, but I also JUST finished my period using Flex so it shouldn't be a problem to get it in time.
@@paradisefoundasmr Soo... Have you tried it yet? How do you like it?
Personally Speaking I almost posted about this the other day..honestly, I hated it. It’s just not for me. It’s too flimsy and was hard to insert. It ended up completely flipping around, so there was leaking, which wasn’t ideal. I ended up going back to my Lena cup..needless to say, I’ll be following up with that refund ASAP. They require you try it for 3 cycles before requesting a refund, I believe. It may work for you though!! Good luck if you end up trying it.
I am new to using discs and have a problem with placement. Love your channel. New Subie!!
I'm a long time softdisc user and they work wonderfully for me. I switched to saalt cup and have lots of trouble with it...do you think this would be a better option for me?
I'd been using cups for years before I tried discs. The flex and the original ziggy were a bit too big for me, but I love the smaller ziggy. Imo, they're much easier to insert, although the removal is a bit messy. The best part for me is that there's no suction like with cups, which makes discs more comfortable than cups.
thanks for the review. What exactly is the negative backlash concerning period sex about? i dont get it...
I’m excited to try this! I used to have NuvaRing for birth control so I’m thinking putting this disc in will work just about the same. So far cups haven’t worked for me. My cervix is suuuuper high during my period and I’m not able to get good suction. I’ve gotten a good seal on 2-3 times
Thanks for your review)
Did you experience any constipation or urinary retention? I feel like there's always so much pressure on my parts when I use a disc. Or like I'm unconsciously clenching and causing the additional pressure. I used the flex disc for the first time and it was amazing but I had some extreme constipation...I had to hold my knees to my chest just FART TMI, but at least the flex cup allowed me to put my knees to my chest on such a heavy flow day 🤷🏾♀️.
I like the soft cups so I need to try this since it’s reusable.
There's always a little blood when I pee with discs but they rarely pop out from public bone unless I'm unusually swollen. I have a light flow so it empties a little through out the day I can go 12hr before cleaning.
I used Nixit for the first time today. I’ve been using the Lunette cup for the last 5 years and overall I’ve been happy with it. My problem is many cups seem to be to long, even with the stem cut off. I suppose I have a low cervix? I liked the disc shape of the Nixit as length wouldn’t be an issue. I seem to have placed correctly on the first try. For those struggling my suggestion is don’t “overthink”. It really is as easy as, getting in the right position and inserting it folded towards your tailbone. You’ll feel your public bone when you have your finger on the rim, and push up. It did seem that when I was bent over it seemed like the rim was sticking out. What I realized is when I stood up the Nixit moved slightly and was then tucked under my pubic bone. Also, if you’re not relaxed it’sgoing to be difficult to insert - so take a deep breath.
You guys are so funny I love your videos their amazing thank you
Great review.
Thanks!
I have a tilted cervix and during the first 2 days of my period discs work much better than cups. Mine also empties when I poop.
When will we get a review on the Lumma?
I already use an Instead disc and love it. I want to get a Nixit so bad, but they do not ship to Canada yet! Waiting for that to happen!!!

Just tried it for the first time. I like how I don't feel it at all and I think it eased my period cramp a little while tampon and regular cups usually make it worse for me. It did leak a few times which is unfortunate since I really like how it feels but won't be able to fully trust it...
I am currently testing the nixit disc and it’s amazing. The only issue I am having with it is it keeps coming untucked from behind my pubic bone even though I don’t bear down ( to get it out you have to bear down).
I use the flex disk and love them. I bought the nix and thought I would love it. It would not go in, I wanted to love it and honestly i will continue to try it. But for my first impression I tossed it in my sink and grabbed a flex disk.
Rebecca Yarbrough did you get the nixit to work? I just got mine today and after using the softdiscs this is super frustrating. I feel like it’s too soft to get it in and it’s causing cramping and just really not a great experience!
Ive never been able to use the diva cup I really wish I could but I tried plastic discs and they’re really really easy to use so I’m hoping this one is as easy to put in
Has anyone tried exercising and lifting heavy weights wearing the Nixit? I find when doing heavy deadlifts the pressure can sometimes make a cup slip, would like to know if anyone has experienced this with a disc
Great review. I just tried mine today. It was difficult to insert the first two times. The material seems a little grabby and it is very soft so it is hard to slide it in place quickly. So far the trick I am learning so far is to go slow and be fully aware of which direction you may tilt.
Thanks for the review and I actually just ordered one! Too bad I didn’t get to use the discount code. Can you guys do a Cora cup review please?
Working on it, we had to buy FOUR cups :( Now we both have one of each size for our resources and to review.
I had the same problem as Amanda and was unable to tuck it. My anatomy just didn't allow it and the nixit kept sliding back out. Was so looking forward to this solution as I've never been able to get menstrual cups to work. Nixit does have a "try it for 3 cycles" policy, but read carefully as it also says "due to the nature of this product, we CANNOT offer refunds if nixit is not for you". That said, please stop saying the nixit is fool-proof because I feel pretty foolish when it leaks and keep thinking I'm doing it wrong.😔
Hello ladies!!! I have the nixit cup and love it. The only issue I have is that it’s pretty soft. I know you have tried both the nixit and Lumma disc. Which one is closest to the instead soft cups??
Thank you so much for your content. After 20 years of menstruating and 10 years of searching for a reliable and reusable menstrual product, I can finally say I found a comfortable, reliable and reusable menstrual product (menstrual discs). I can finally sleep a full night without a towel under me when I'm menstruating.
I have a heavy flow, a tilted uterus, a sensitive bladder and my cervix is considered high. For reference, I would change a super tampon every hour or change my menstrual cup that supposedly holds up to 50ml every 1.5-2 hrs. For this reason, I also wore a super reusable menstrual pad in case the tampon or menstrual cup overflowed and leaked... and they almost always did.
I tried several menstrual cups (Diva 1&2, Super Jennie L, Merula OS & XL and Yuuki 1 & 2), all different capacities and firmness. They all leaked because I couldn't find the right position for my tilted uterus and no matter how hard I tried, the suction holes would always clog up which caused the cups to leak. The bigger and firmer cups put too much pressure on my bladder, and I often had a UTI as a result of not being able to fully empty my bladder.
I finally tried the Nixit disc - GAME CHANGER. It is SO comfortable, I can't even feel it once it's inserted which means I also don't have any issues emptying my bladder. I have had ZERO leaks, not even at night, since I started using it a few months ago. I can wear it up to 8 hours at a time on my heavy days because of the self-emptying feature, which only happens when I purposefully bear down over the toilet.
I also use the Hey Zomi disc (52 ml capacity, 65ml diameter) on moderate to light days because it has a loop which makes removal easier than the Nixit. The reason I don't wear it on my heavy days is because I cannot self-empty by gently bearing down over the toilet, which means I would have to manually remove it every couple hours. In Period Nirvana's review of the Hey Zomi disc, they self-emptied very frequently, but that is not the case for me.
I considered the Hello disc, but it would be too firm for me.
I HIGHLY recommend menstrual discs to anyone with a tilted uterus and a heavy flow. If you're not in a hurry to buy another product, I suggest subscribing to their newsletter and waiting for a promo code/sale.
I have been using a diva cup for 6+ years and just tried a disc, the ziggy cup, and I just couldn't seem to get it behind my cervix. I couldn't even find my cervix which doesn't seem to be a problem normally.
I think every woman needs to try out for herself what works. It's not cheap to try cup after cup, but it's a process that happens over a long time, at least it was for me.
I tried many different cups and none of the regular cups worked for me as my cervix comes down quite a bit and moves to the right side, so no regular cup ever fit. I gave up on trying as I had felt I tried all shapes, sizes, etc, and just used pads then, which is really my least favorite option.
Now I happened to see an ad for the Nixit, which was a new concept for me, and since it works without suction and doesn't require my cervix to be in a centered position I decided to give a disc a try, and it works like a charm (I got a Ziggy for now as it was cheaper and available with free shipping on amazon). I find it easy to insert and remove, absolutely comfortable to wear and I love that I can empty it by bearing down without having to remove it. No mess in public restrooms! It's not entirely perfect as it tended to slip a bit on my heavier days and there were some leaks once a fair amount of blood had accumulated. But just as I would have to do with a tampon on my heavy flow days I can just go to the bathroom every two or three hours and take care of it without it being messy. Insertion requires sticking my finger in to make sure it goes under my cervix. But that's nothing compared to the struggle I had with all other cups, and I don't mind this at all. I only have to do this in the morning and evening and never during the day in a public restroom, which was a huge issue with regular cups and sea sponges for me.
Ladies, don't be afraid of your own bodies. Be patient and kind to yourself. I'm pretty sure most women can find a cup or disk that works for them eventually.
Thank you for your review! I was super excited about the nixit because I’ve used Softdisc with no issue for a while, but hated that they aren’t reusable. I’ve been trying it for two cycles now, and unfortunately, my experience has been similar to Amanda’s. It just WILL NOT stay tucked. I assume this is due to how soft it is because nixit is exactly the same size as Softdisc. I’ve had the same issue with the ziggy disc, too. I’m going to give it one more shot, and then probably ask for a refund since they will offer one if you’ve tried for three cycles without success, which is nice since it is so pricy. On to the Lumma Unique I guess? Thanks for all of your helpful information. I would have never heard about all of these options if it weren’t for you!
It's not resuable ????
Nixit is reusable. Softdisc is not. Sorry for the confusion!
@@alliecurtze oh ok thanks
The Lumma is definitely a firmer disc, and yes I think you're right that the Nixit being softer than the Softdisc would possibly be the culprit for you. They may have some suggestions and they were very nice in helping Amanda try and get her Nixit to work.
@@PutACupInIt Thanks for the tip! I did reach out to them regarding my issue, and they got back to me SUPER FAST and here was their reply: "Thanks so much for getting in touch! We have found that some disposable disc users are finding it tricky - mainly due to the difference in how flexible nixit is, but we have always got it figured out!
When inserting, it's helpful to think of pushing nixit back and down (rather than up like a traditional cup or tampon). I like to try and aim towards my tailbone (this helps it to get back and down). There are some useful videos on our instagram and facebook pages that you may also find helpful to watch.
It can also help to pinch nixit at one end and then pinch down and along as you insert (rather than pinching in the middle) - this makes some people feel like they have more control over it.
Using a different position could also help to get nixit positioned correctly - if you are currently sitting on the toilet, we would suggest either a half squat position (in between standing and sitting) or standing with one leg raised. It can take a bit of trial and error to find the insertion position that works best for you.
Don't be afraid to push nixit up as far as you can when you tuck it up behind your pubic bone. Some people also bear down when inserting and then relax once inserted so that this draws nixit up a bit (if that makes sense).
We hope that helps and of course, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!"
I was really impressed with how willing they were to help me out, so I wanted to share this with anyone else who might have the same issue I'm having. My next cycle is coming up, so we'll see how it works this time around.
I have an anteverted uterus and so whe I have used cups I can get a seal but the stem always seems to annoy me even when trimmed so I have recently got this disc to try. Hoping will have less comfort issues
Yeah I’m not a fan of mensural disks however I just got the large Tampax cup and can’t wait to try it.
The rim looks a bit scary at first but it was very comfortable for both of us! Good luck!
I have a VERY short cervix, recommendations? No regular cups or even size smalls fit, still sticks out
I wish I saw this before I bought the nixit. I have the same issue as Amanda. I just can't get it tucked in and then it leaks. I wish they had a way for you to know before you buy if it might fit
i saw an add for this and immediately knew to come here
I feel like a free bleed day would be needed after that 🙈 glad you didn't get any kind of infection 💜 hopefully
why would they get any kind of infection? this is much more sanitary than most menstrual options
I’m new to the whole disc idea. I’ve been using cups fairly successfully, but really prefer the disc idea. The problem I’m having is I have to wear a pad anyways because suddenly, with no warning, it will pop out from behind my pubic bone and just pour the last several hours of blood all at once on my underwear and it’s a mess. Any advice for me as to how I can feel like I can rely on it??
How much does it *actually* hold? I've used both the diva and the Tampax cups and generally like them but I can fill them fully within 2 hours on my worst days and go all day on the lighter ones... Is the volume similar?
I know this video was from 2 months ago but I hope yall can see this comment. Did Kim have a hard time removing the Nixit? I remember her saying that she couldnt get the Flex Fit to hook on her finger when she reviewed them and I had the same experience and it was awful! Now in terrified to try anything else!
I'm really interested in the reusable discs since I love the SoftCups. Do you know when you're planning to review the Lumma?
It's on the way!
Today!
I have used the soft cup and it empties every time I pee and when I check, it its still in place so i am glad i am not the only one
These look so interesting but I know it won’t work for me. I have a lot of inflammation during my cycle and it looks like it won’t sit in my canal comfortably.
Hi ladies, would you consider reviewing the femmycycle low cervix please? I have a heavy flow and a low cervix, but I am finding the merula a little too firm and difficult to open, whereas the me luna shorty xl does not have a high enough capacity. Does anyone have any suggestions for other cups? Xx
I'm not sure if I have a very low cervix or a medium low one with a long cervix... (cervix does take a lot of room up in the cup)
But!
With a moderate to heavy flow I am finding the largest luv your body a big relief! Finally I can go 4 to 6 hours before it leaks- ie is full.
It's a bit tricky to open, but worth it for the extra capacity... and pretty cheap too..
You could always sell(or buy) test cups on the PACII fb swap group if cost is an issue with all this experimenting... :)
Are there still any coupons for the Nixit? Really want to try it but it's so pricey...
Do you have a video listing your favourite discs/cups?
Discs fit my anatomy so much better than cups!
Why didn't we hear more about the failure?? My experience with the soft cup years ago taught me I'm not shaped properly to "tuck" anything behind the pubic bone. I want to hear WHY it didn't fit her, or how it behaved. How come there was zero elaboration there?
She did kind of explain that all her cups and that disk slips during a bowel movement, i guess it would have to be something you figured out for your own vaginal shape?
Same! I was hoping to get more info or closure on that but no 🤔
I am leery of trying it because of the price. I have a fairly low cervix and the disposable ones I have tried, the hard plastic ring would get so painful after tucking it a few times.
Cups didnt work that great , probably the wrong size. Tried the nixit and absolutely love it!! Super confortable and easy i forgot i had it in!
I will try the disc. I have not find a cup that works for me. The end of the pinch me and the suction was awful to break and It hurts
Okay, I've been a cup for a 100 years, the thing about the disc that I've been afraid to try is the removal. Here they state it's a shower required process. Is it truly that messy? (Please note I'm coming off a Dexter experience last cycle where I was wearing a long hoodie and not paying attention removing my cup. Nuff said)
Edit- have read through the comments, so it really is shower required?
For women that havent had kids, would this be recommended.thinking of getting it seems easier to take out.
Question about "capacity" ....i know discs are different but still wondering. Backstory first. My gateway into cups was actually by using a soft cup disc! Whilst I definately prefer cups there are some days in the beginning of my cycle that the pressure and suction even from the softest cup causes ungodly pain and cramping. But depending on my schedule I dont want to have to wear my cloth pads on my heavy days if I am out and about or have events....I prefer them for at home. But discs dont cause the same pain for me because I 1. Have a high cervix and 2. They don't create suction. But I was just wondering what the capacity would be like for someone as heavy as the friend you had on the heavy period video (I probably bleed a bit more than her in the first few days). Soft cup always slipped even when I peed so I had to clean up and change it every bathroom break so I dont really know if a disc can hold up to a heavy period for a "whole day" (like 6-8 hours). Your thoughts?
I'm wondering the same thing! There seem potential for a disk to hold heaps more than a cup...
@@ceelp908 yeah because it seems like discs hold the blood in instead of collecting it so it's not like it needs a capacity?
Would you suggest this for someone that cups don’t work for? Horrible time removing cups...
Do you have any suggestions on where to start as a first time user? I'm epileptic that requires medication that makes me heavy but I'm also super petite and inverted. So I am only interested in using it during sex. Any suggestions as far as cup or disk?
Can the nixit cup leak if you sneeze or cough?
The softdisc and flex disc never stays in place because it keeps slipping no matter how hard I try to keep in behind the pubic bone.. do you think the nixit wouldn’t be for me because my cervix might be too low? I don’t know, someone please help 😭😭 I really want it to work out but somehow it never does!!
Just bought one and im so hopeful! I've never been successful with a cup it always ends up soooo high up and leaks so bad.
I had the same issues with cups. The nixit has been awesome for me!!! Good luck!
@@kellymiller6981 I've used it for 2 cycles now and i didnt know I could love a period product so much! Its a whole new world when im not having to change a tampon every half hour
Thank God you guys did an actual review. Stop disrespecting the company it’s a cup!
No, it's not a cup. Cups sit lower in the body than a disc.
I tried Menstrual Cups and I hate them. I used a Diaphragma for years so I hope this will work.
Why do you think it slipped? I tried the Flex Disc before and never had a leak-free day and I used it for the better part of a year of periods. I was never really sure if it was positioned right. Was it too big? Too small? Not popping back into shape after folding to get it in? I’ve since switched to the MeLuna regular and still leak. 🤦🏼♀️ I don’t know what my problem is!
The Ziggy? I don' know why it slipped because to me I always felt when I put it in that it was in the right spot. Some days it did stay put and others... not so much. -K
Can you guys review the blossom cup?
im waiting for that too haha tired of seeing only expensive cups' reviews lol XD
I am not experiencing any leakage, however I am experiencing a dent being formed inside my vagina, that is concerning me, because when ai touch it, or try and take it out, where the dent is being formed it really hurts. Was wondering if you have experience with this?
I NEED to know what brand Kim's glasses are.
SEE Eyewear
I just ordered one :) Now I’m looking to get some period underwear. I’ve ruled out Thinx and am hesitant about ModiBodi because I don’t know how natural/healthy their panties are. They won’t say what they use and I don’t want chemicals or anything leaching out. I saw FLUX and they said they use natural fibers and not nano-silver so I’m happy about that, but I can’t find any reviews from people like you. Is this something you guys could review soon? Please and TY
We haven't heard of FLUX, we hear people love their Dear Kates and Knix
Put A Cup In It Thanks, I will check those two brands out and see what I think. Here’s the FLUX site if you’re interested. They’re a UK company. I guess I haven’t checked to see if they ship to the US. www.fluxundies.com
Are disks good for really low cervixes + heavy periods?
yes!! i have a nixit and a very heavy flow, it works like a charm
Is there a coupon code? :)
