You know the first Toy Story movie had less than half the budget compared to this garbage, and that movie was the first computer animated movie ever and was well made and written.
Well you have to take account of 20 years of inflation so their budgets wouldn't compare that well, but yeah even that Toy Story's animation is million times better then this movies. It's ironic the movie about plastic toys look more realistic then a movie with a bunch of humanoid characters.
+Brandon Lyon Right, the first movie does not hold up good compared to Pixars recent stuff, and the people in it did look odd. And it was the first computer animated movie ever, but it still animates way better than this.

True story: when I was a little kid, I heard about this movie and was exited. I thought this sounded great. Back in 2008, I was supposed to get a Food fight book about DareDevil Dan and cried my eyes out when I didn't get it. However, it got pushed back so much, I totally forgot about it. So when this started becoming The Room of animated films and whenever I see reviews and talk about this film myself, I always feel ashamed for looking forward to this movie before it grew into the monstrosity it is today.

Yea not everything is really quote worthy
Each main character gets at least one sexual innuendo.
Dex: "There are some stains you can never wash out."

Personally I think Food Fight is worse. Ratatoing was made to be cheap and crappy for that shitty studio to earn a quick buck. Food Fight was apparently supposed to be good, the creator of this abomination actually thought his studio could be the next Pixar. Well considering the history behind it, the TV show's animation would've probably been worse than a Filmation cartoon.
If there was ever a movie that needs to be remade, it’s this one. Someone needs to get on it.

Wantaplay Entertainment Even though I wouldn’t compare a movie to a game, I will definitely take Sonic 06 over this piece of shit. At least, 06 is enjoyable at times and the soundtrack makes me want to keep playing. This movie however has nothing.

Here's how my ideas for a Foodfight! Reboot could be. Let's Find Out!
The Story: Even if it's a Toy Story clone, the Concept is that food mascots come to life in a supermarket that closes to become a city is unoriginal. But it's a INTERESTINGLY UNIQUE WAY! It's a story about suspense, drama, love, forgetfulness, murder, mystery, violence, and humor. If I combine a detective and invasion stories to be not predictably bland and become looked upon to be focused. The story is about Dex, a super sleuth dog who is a detective to find the bad guys and clues to solve any case. One night, his girlfriend bride-to-be Sunshine Goodness mysteriously disappears to help a friend which causes Dex to give up and thinks he'll never see Sunshine again, even though he still has fond memories of his happy kitten girl. Six months later... A representative for Brand X named Mr. Clipboard bursts through the supermarket to bring in Brand X. With Brand X in the supermarket, they try to kill off every icon for a deadly surprise. Now, Dex must solve his biggest mystery ever on who catnapped Sunshine, who killed the missing icons, and save the supermarket and everyone from Brand X's reign of tyranny. The Humor will contain sarcastic witty remarks from Dex, slapstick jokes, Dan's goofy but well-meaning demeanor, funny puns, and hilarious low-brow comedy with no toilet humor. No sexual innuendos so you'll be comfortable with the movie and not feel the bad dirty. There is consistently done right/plot holes are that Dex was flying on a soda bottle that was attached to a string like in the original trailer, humans don't see the living icons but babies do yet the humans think their babies are playing, Marketropolis transforms into a city because it does when it's really dark at night where the moon appears, Sunshine didn't get recalled because Brand X motive was to trick Mr. Leonard that Sunshine was recalled by putting a recalled label to fool him but it goes off when Dex and Dan enter the store to the computer which reveals it say kidnapped to lure Dex to save Sunshine at the climax to kill them both. The plot twist was revealed that Brand X hired Fat Cat Burglar to kidnap Sunshine because he is one of Dex's mose dangerous villains and he steals cats where he despises Dex and Lady X combined all Exrobots to make a giant Mr. Clipboard to destroy the icons. The final battle/climax is not tediously long and pointless with the icons vs Brand X with some characters dying and the food not just exploding into goop.
The Animation: If the movie will have a budget like 45 or 65 million dollars, it will make up for it with nicely detailed backgrounds either in 2D style like the merchandise books or 3D like The Original Trailer from 2002 with appealing character designs like the models from The Original Trailer for 3D or 2D character designs from the merchandise books. Make sure the movie will NOT get stolen if it has copies or hard drives being guarded carefully. As a finished product, it will look fine. The textures will look fine with moving fur and many other textures. The effects are repetitive or watchable with it not just always exploding into goop in the third act or look like it was taken from a royalty-free effects site. No motion capture so the characters don't move awkward or weird. The squash and stretch will be used fine with it for the expressions of the characters and how the characters move to emphasize the icons are supposed to be cartoony.
The Characters: The characters are not bland and forgettable. Even if they are generic, they make good characters. There's Daredevil Dan who's not only Dex's sidekick and a Comic Relief, He is a helpful pal. Dan is wacky, outgoing, smart, loyal, upbeat, and crafty. He invents contraptions and inventions, he learn from his mistakes by trying to fix them. He invents gadgets for Dex to help along on his mission. He rides a biplane where he flyes it around to make pictures in the sky to show how crafty he is. He is a icon for "Daredevil Dan's Chocolate" which has chocolate that comes with extra nuts and mint for his green suit with mint sprinkles on his tail for texture. He is willing to help out Dex on dangerous cases and missions. Incase Dex is alone, he makes sure to come for him when he's finish. He is that instead of a womanizing pervert.
Lady X is not only a villain, She is a seductive but manipulative villain who sees Dex as a desirable icon to force him to go on her side. She is a flamboyant over-the-top villain that loves how Brand X is a successful icon and is ordely to make sure her cohorts do what she says. She is power-hungry woman who wants all success with Brand X where to will stop at nothing to exterminate all other inferior icons to make Brand X the supreme icon of the world. She is a mysterious icon who acts like a nice girl but despises the other icons except Dex to get rid of them. She is that instead of a dirty Sex symbol.
Dr. Si Nustrix is not only a scientist, he is a doctor that is protective. He makes sure to stay healthy and other icons stay healthy except that are toxic and deadly. He is a no-nonsense nagging scientist who warns other icons about the dangers of bad icons like Brand X or diseases. He is a intelligent doctor that makes up antidotes and cures and knows everything on how to be a scientist and a doctor. He also is willing to do the unexpected and unexplained to help other icons in a serious time. He is that instead a Jewish stereotype and has a annoyingly stereotypical jewish accent.
Sunshine Goodness is not only a love interest, she is a bubbly, feisty, yet compassionate cat girl. She is a motherly figure to all pure of heart icons that need help. She is cat girl that is willing to respond to do favors. She is nice and respectful. She is playful where she loves to play melonball and encourages her icon friends to support them if their feeling bad. She is also has a motherly side where she messes with anyone that is bad who lays a finger on either Dex or her friends. She is a happy go lucky tabby cat girl Dex or you is willing to protect from any danger. She is quirky too. She is a humanoid cat who is a mascot for cat food and fish because raisins are poisonous to cats and dogs and cat food is edible for cats while fish is edible for cats and dogs. She is that instead of having a questionable intelligence.
Cheasel T. Weasel is sleazy, silly, sneaky, wily, trickster yet salesman weasel who provides beneficial information and has many different things in his jacket for all icons special needs. Even though there is a catch about him, he is a unlucky weasel where every time he tries to make a deal, he gets hurt in the process. He dosen't store living icons in his coat. He is also a weasel icon for a brand of swiss cheese where every time he gets hurt, he gets holes in him. He is that instead of being a disgusting poop rat. He is a yellow texture.
Maximillius Moose is The Copabanana's runner and boss when Dex isn't around. He is informative by-the-book moose who tries to explain what's happening all around. He is also a icon for a brand called Moose Juice.
Polar Penguin is a kind, brave, innocent but naive penguin who is willing to help Dex is a dangerous situation. He also has a undying loyalty to Dex where he looks up to him as a hero. He believes in Dex in the toughest of troubles. He also has a father-son relationship with Dex where Dex protects Polar from any danger he ends up in. He is a icon for Polar Pleasures ice cream and popsicles.
Hairy Hold is a soothing, stylish yet anxious fox for a hair cream item. He makes sure to run things right perfectly while he is president of The U.S.D.A. when Dex gives up. He promise order, discipline, and justice in the supermarket where he is a peacekeeper.
Vlad Chocool is a charismatic smooth-talking bat that adversites a brand of vanilla strudels with chocolate syrup. He is a lovey-dovey hopeless romantic charmer that finds it to be love in the air. He is persuasive. He is also a fanatic over Daredevil Dan.
Then there's Dex Dogtective, The main character. He was at the top of his game by being a successful detective where he stop bad icons from stealing or breaking laws and solve any case that's happening in the supermarket. When Sunshine disappears, he retires to being a hopeless, broken-hearted detective who onws a nightclub called The Copabanana. Everyone believes in Dex to save them at all costs, but Dex feels in his eyes that'll his friends will be taken away again someday soon from doing something nicely like Sunshine. But when Brand X appears... He goes back to his old roots to make sure his friends and all icons in the store don't get taken away again like his precious Sunshine. He has to solve his biggest case ever to save the people he love from the evil Brand X. He also dosen't speak any food puns from time to time to make him unlikeable.
The list goes on with the crazy Lieutenant X, the dumb but funny Hairless Hamster Henchman, the courageous Francois Fromage, the kindly Leonard, the grumpy Kaptain Krispy, the awkward but easily excited Mr. Clipboard, the cowardly but fun Twinkleton, and the bored yet impressed Lola Fruitola.
The movie will have moments that will keep you emotionally invested.
The characters are not racist stereotypes or speak like racist stereotypes.
The Brand X army are soldiers instead of nazis who are interesting villains with distinct personalities.
The climax will be epic and the food won't be exploding into just goo while Brand X injure the icons with scars and scratches which will cause some of them to die.
If you think these ideas are decent for a Foodfight! remake or reboot for the creators, reviewers, and you. Leave your thoughts in the comments.

To answer one of the questions at 2:39, the "How is Dex flying with that soda bottle?" one, if you watch the original 2002 trailer, the one with the older and slightly better animation, when it shows Dex riding the soda bottle, there is what appears to be a white string behind Dex that may have been attached to the bottle. So maybe that's how?

I've actually been going through these movies to find the different music you reserve for each rating. The really triumphant music for 9s and 10s, the slightly less triumphant but still good music for 7s and 8s, the threatening but still pleasant for 5s and 6s, the grating but silly music for 3s and 4s, and this 2s and 1s music which clearly says "You are approaching danger and despair if you try to watch this."
Where the dead go to die is way worse than food fight.

However, it’s the first and, so far, only animated film to receive a 1/10 with the Lion King music playing.
The history behind the production of this animated atrocity is much more entertaining than the film itself.

The movie can actually be blamed on Larry Kassinoff because of the crazy direction he made the film in. But the animation would have been better if they didn't steal the files

You know it's saying something when Beast Wars, a CGI TV show, made in 1996, with the first season having a budget of 18 million dollars, still looks miles ahead better than Foodfight with a budget of 45-65 million dollars and taking over a decade to make.

This movie was supposed to be animated much better, but halfway through production, one of the hard drives with 60% of the work was stolen, so they had to start over from scratch.
It still had the script to work with, so even if it had looked better, the writing is still garbage. This film was wasted potential.

You know it's funny Larry said that Foodfight would make Threshold the next Pixar well not only didn't it help his company and ruined any good will given to them prior but is the main example of doing a toy story but failing so badly at it. This is what hell looks like if it was animated.
