City of Los Angeles - Rec & Parks purchased a couple of these. We basically use them for the front panels at our main yard. These cannot handle heavy work loads nor could they be washed with water. We are asked to scrape and clean as best as possible without water. The average life span we realized is about 4-5 hours. We deal with slopes and rockier parks/landscapes that this struggles with. Along with all that, the deck is right under the operator which makes it a bit more of a hassle getting into certain sections that other brands do not struggle with. To add to that, the front castor wheels become a nuisance when getting into different spots as well as turning. it feels a bit wonky
These are made down the road from my house. Interesting concept. Definitely need a battery swap out pack. Like the forklifts. Then you can have 3 batteries. 1 in the mower, one charged, one being charged.

Also even if Mean Green produced as many mowers as say Exmark They'd still likely cost more because there are likely more custom made parts (Motors, controllers, chargers, etc...) Then on top of all of that there is likely a higher profit margin figured in as well.

they are a little pricey, but the are the leader so far with commercial gas free mowers. We do a lot of Hotels and I am considering a purchase because they run so quietly in comparison. We too are hung up on the price tag, but I think it will be an inevitable Purchase.

I sure do like the idea of an electric commercial zero turn. The worst thing about Z is the motor maintenance, possible failure, buying gas all the time can be a pain in the butt, oil changes, belts, etc.. I don't like the "anderson connector" ... That should be simplified into a main shutoff switch. Those "Anderson Connectors" will wear out and possibly break from repeated plugging and unplugging.

Sure, check out ryobi zero turn.. I bought one to use (proffesionally) while I am having my walker zero turn rebuilt/restored..on my 4th week.. I'm now thinking if getting rid of my walker and buying another ryobi.. I average 40 yards a day with it. On Mondays, I have 3 ranches I take care of, each with a minimum of a half a football field of turf... I mow all 3 in the same day with my ryobi zt.. (I charge it about 15 minutes in between each place using a little generator. Oh.. Best part.. Price tag brand new is only about $3500.. And. One other thing. It actually mows (flat surfaces) nearly 2 times as fast as a walker. And does a nice job at that.

Say if your mowing up againa brick wall and the other two blade was over rock, would just be nice to turn the two over rock off so that is doesnt pick up the rocks and ruin your blade. Yes you could use a push mower and make two runs down the strip of grass or make one strip with one blade and continue on to mow the rest of the yard. Big deal? Not really would just be nice seeing its a beltless deck and each blade has its own motor.

How long does it take to charge. What if you are using it all day and all night 24/7, the gas will keep going but the electric will need to be charged every night. What if you run out of fuel or power on a steep hill. The down side to something like this is the parts. I hate electric vehicles.
Matt Wassam. He does have a point to a certain degree. It says 6.5-7 hours run time. Well sometimes they can have a 10-12 hour day. So can these be charged effectively throughout the day on a less than ideal system like trailer setup between job sites. The batteries can handle up to 8,000 cycles. That is impressive. My main worry with these personally is charge times. Can it keep up on a regular day with a busy lawn business and their gas equipment.

Alot less then gas, going from over a 100 moving parts to 5 moving parts. Electric is way more reliable then gas when done properly

@@michaelbenoit248 power grid . most of the power is sucked up from the earth lol . maybe not . did you know that the wind vibration can cause power build ups in a power line . my dad use to work on the high lines and if they did not connect a ground cable while they were stringing out the lines people would get electrocuted . the unconnected lines between two towers would sway in the wind building up a charge .
How long does it take to charge. What if you are using it all day and all night 24/7, the gas will keep going but the electric will need to be charged every night. What if you run out of fuel or power on a steep hill. The down side to something like this is the parts. I hate electric vehicles.

Matt Wassam. He does have a point to a certain degree. It says 6.5-7 hours run time. Well sometimes they can have a 10-12 hour day. So can these be charged effectively throughout the day on a less than ideal system like trailer setup between job sites. The batteries can handle up to 8,000 cycles. That is impressive. My main worry with these personally is charge times. Can it keep up on a regular day with a busy lawn business and their gas equipment.
