    What happens when you hit something hard on a lawn? do you have shear pins for the blades or will the electric motors take the full force of the impact?

    • @rustinhallberg6063
      @rustinhallberg6063 5 років тому +1

      My battery pusher just shuts down when I hit something hard or bog it down to quick for it to recover. I move to a safe or less heavy area and restart and off to the races (now with a new chunk out of a blade but still running strong).

    What is the average run time on a full charge? How long does it take to recharge?

    • @mrkilika81
      @mrkilika81 7 років тому +1

      Brent Hill I read on their website that the estate package(one battery) runs for 2.5 to 3 hours. And their contractor package ( two batteries) will mow 6 to 7 hours. Charge time depends on charger. I believe their faster charger takes 8 hours and the standard one takes 12 hours.

    Unfortunately, most "lawn guys" won't see the advantage of these units until they are 'forced' upon them. This IS NOT like the '4-stroke joke' handheld equipment or other gimicks that have been thrown at us over the years- This IS the wave of the future- No bones about it(although it may be a decade or so early IMO)... this is the beginning of it. Either embrace it or hate it, it IS the future. The down time these mowers will save the average company that cares for mainly residential and some commercial properties(say shopping centers and small to medium HOA communities) is insane. NO refuels, NO employees playing 'field mechanic' and the maintenance costs these will save(belts, air cleaners, oil changes and even hydro-drive issues, given these are very rare)... I could go on and on. They aren't for EVERY situation, but for the 'average' 3 man crew set-up with 'clean' accounts to service, a pair(or even 1) of these will pay for themselves in a couple years. Add the compliment of E- handheld stuff(I think Stihl is heading this market?) and you will have VERY happy customers due to less of a carbon footprint and way less NOISE! Also, it won't be long before many communities will be joining the likes of Palm Beach Island and forcing guys to use electric equipment... I want my Little Wonders back- NOT!

    Brushless motors and Lithium polymer or ion batteries are where it's at. This IS THE FUTURE guys- whether we like it or not. We will adapt... and 'THEY'(lawmakers/government) will force us to eventually anyhow. It'd be nice to go home at the end of the day just stinking of sweat- without the 'exhaust scent' added to it, right LOL??

      I'm getting back into the lawn care business after 5 years, and it's a different world as far as electric equipment goes. I found a discontinued Shindaiwa 56v trimmer and hedge trimmer heavily discounted that I just purchased off eBay. I want to use the battery stuff for the early am- lunch yards to cut down on noise, fuel costs, and wear and tear on the gas equipment. If the batteries hold up well then I might just use them exclusively, idk for now.

    You add 300 extra pounds of meat puppet to a full electric mower..... You do realize the more weight you add the more fuel you burn..... Batteries are not a Renewable Resource, neither are nuclear rods. It's only $300 to get an OTC RC controller with servos.
    Use a Makita 36V Blower and save your batteries.
    Also Throw a Maxwell Super Capacitor Pack in it and you will further your battery life.
    Seriously you could probably just run the majority of that off super capacitors..... Plug it in to the wall charger up in 15mins.
    Super Capacitors have 1,000,000 cycle life vs Lithium Batteries at 1,000 - 2,000 cycles which is better than lead acids.... Lead Acids isn't Free or cheaper. It only has 50% usable capacity and at the the very most has 500 cycles . Not to mention they are heavy AF which cost more diesel fuel to transport, even if the fuel is subsidized or tax write-off it still a fkn waste of reasoirces.
    Good proof of concept tho 👌🏻

      yes but basically NO maintenance. No gas no filters no oil no carb adjustments no belts no fuel filter just have to sharpen the blades.

      djkneecaps91 1500 charge cycles or 9000 running hours with the dual battery. It will out last the machine. And the battery is serviceable.
