Thank you so much for watching, kapatid. It's alright to be unsure but at one point or another, you'll have to galvanize your resolve and to commit to becoming a lawyer, with every fiber of your being. I didn't decide to become a lawyer, until a week before college graduation. It was just another dream for me.
Thank you, bro. Thank you for being here and thank you for sharing. Sana ay may mapulot ka dito sa format ng pagsagot. This will definitely improve your grades. ❤️😊🙏🏻

Another school of thought is the ALAC or Answer-Law-Application-Conclusion. The problem with this method, and my earlier exam booklets bear witness is that, your answers can be too long, or not responsive enough to the question.
Just in time. :'( I was really in need of this. Lalo na modular-style some instructors ko. huhu Considered midterm mga quizzes namin every meeting. Thank you for this. :)

You're welcome, bro. Thank you also for being here. The channel is a labor of love and I hope you learn from my mistakes. Next week, let's talk about slaying every recitation.
Hello atty. lex, thank you for this very informative video. But if may I ask, do you have a video regarding how to spot the issue in a problem? If none yet, I hope you can make one. It will he very a big help.
Hah! Would've beaten you there, had it not been for the cold meds I'm taking. Sleep is erratic, and I am terribly unproductive. But this is the promise - a new episode every Friday.
Looking forward for the giveaway 😍 Haha. Kidding. A BIG THANKS to you kuya Lex. This will surely help me bigtime. (Taking down the letters: CRA method)
Thank you so much, sis. Glad you learned something. I'm also very excited about the giveaway. It's taking quite a lot of work from my end. Just happy to give back.
Hi, kapatid. Thank you for reaching out. The long answer you will find on the episode on how to digest cases. The short answer is - read with purpose. Start with why. Identify the topic under which a case is assigned. Focus on that. One sentence will eventually jump out at you.
Hi, Atty. Been following your channel for days now and, gladly, I found this vid. Also saw your discussion on school supplies but I never heard anything on using correction pens/tapes. Are erasures not allowed in law school? I supposed erasures are out of honest mistakes, too. Or do you just scratch the entire sheet altogether and begin anew clean and spotless?
Thank you for the question, kapatid. During exams and quizzes in law school, you are not allowed to use correction fluids/tapes. The rule is that you have to make a horizontal line across the words/phrases you'd like to erase. Otherwise, it is considered marking. Marking is not allowed because booklets are graded anonymously. A professor will not know whose booklet she is checking, until she has finished the batch/class. For the same reason, tearing the page is not allowed. Magiging palantandaan din kasi yan. I've made a more thorough discussion on how to improve your handwriting here: ua-cam.com/video/eDcZObN8eAA/v-deo.html Here's a discussion on how to answer questions in law school: ua-cam.com/video/_Tn2koTjork/v-deo.html

Just discovered this video and your channel. Glad I found it! Question: Is the CRA Method necessarily "better" than the ALAC method? Took a break from law school (due to a myriad of problems), and will be going back next academic year. Cheers B)
Thank you for sharing, kapatid. Thank you for being here and welcome to the Lex in Motion Community. There’s no silver bullet when it comes to answering bar questions and problems. No method is better than the other. The long term goal is to transcend your ability as a student, and start arguing as a lawyer. The CRA and the ALAC methods are formulas. They reveal you are a student. Eventually, you’ll have to outgrow them and start arguing like a lawyer. When you do, it’ll only be a matter of time until you take your Lawyer’s Oath. God bless you, kapatid and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻

Hi po Sir Lex. I really like your videos po sa youtube lalo nato on how to answer questions in law school like a barista. May additional questions lang po sana ako to have a clearer understanding in relation sa topic po ng video. It would also really mean a lot Sir, nasa first year pa po ako kaya curious na curious ako. Questions: 1. When answering enumeration questions and alike do you need to word per word answer po like how it was stated exactly in the law/codal/decided case? Or do you just need to have the same idea po without it having the same words and sentence structure? 2. May recommendations po ba kayo na books or articles na pwedeng basahen po to further improve the way students answer law questions po both sa law school and bar exams? Salamat po Sir Lex. God Bless po.
I think I've answered this on a private message, kapatid. 1. You get full points for verbatim answers. Partial points for substantial reproduction of the provision. 2. Currently working on a workbook for incoming law students and bar reviewees. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you, kapatid for waiting. All the new episodes go live at 6:00 pm every Friday. It’s pretty much automatic from my end. Even if I go on vacation for a week or two, you’ll have new episodes delivered to you. 😊❤️🙏🏻
You’re welcome, sis. Thank you also for being here. I hope you pick one or two things from the mistakes that held me back for many years in law school. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊🙏🏻❤️
Is there a difference between using 'not correct' and 'incorrect' in negating the correctness of a party's correction? Is a matter of style or basically same lang sila?
Thank you for this question. My teacher from high school explained that both are acceptable but incorrect is more appropriate. I hope this makes sense. 😊😊😊
Not sure what you mean, kapatid. It’s a comprehensive discussion on the format, templates and the form of the kinds of answers you’ll need to meet different kinds of answers for law school exam questions. ❤️😊🙏🏻
Mismo, kapatid. I spent an entire year, year and a half, thinking the same. I realized answers needed a structure. It doesn’t matter if you write creatively. If it doesn’t meet the structure, no full credit. If it’s correct but does not meet the format, marami na ang 7/10. Hope this helps you in your next exam. Salamat, kapatid for being here. Friday’s episode is a special and I’ll be sharing with you how to improve your handwriting. At the end of the episode is a gift, a giveaway for you, for all of you because you have supported me for the last eight months. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hello sir. Sir ganito po ako minsan magsulat ng legal basis kasi ang hirap po imemorize exAct article ng law or title ng case. “As a rule............” “Under the civil code.......” “In a case decided by the supreme court,.........” So is it okay to site my legal basis this way sir if im not sure of the law or title of the case?
Thank you for your question, kapatid. 1. "As a rule" is vague. You are essentially calling a statement a rule without pointing to its origin or source. 2. "Under the Civil Code" is also vague. I don't recommend it because there are over 2,000 provisions on the Civil Code. The better citation is, "Under the Civil Code provisions on Property" or "Under the law on Property." 3. This is acceptable but could be too long to write and cite 20 times for an entire exam. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hi, kapatid. Thank you for the question. I’ve been called out twice by my professors for using capital letters for keywords and phrases. It’s considered marking and a ground for disqualification in the bar exams. The rest of my professors ignore it and I’d like to think I score 5% better when my answers are presented this way. Some professors do not read our answers in their entirety. This gives emphasis and makes it easier to grade. The downside is - isn’t it insulting that a student must put emphasis on his work? Does this student presume that professors do not read in full? That’s how it was explained to me. Again, capitalize at your own risk. Hope this helps.
There is a more detailed discussion of this in the Lex in Motion One-on-One Coaching and Mentoring Program. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you, kapatid. The PHILSAT is out of my coverage, at the moment. It's another requirement that we didn't have back in the day. Do the hard work now, and you'll certainly reap that LEB Certificate. From there, I got you all the way until your oath taking. I will see you on the other side.

Hi Atty. Lex, please confirm if kayo po yung co-editor ng Answers to Bar Examination Questions (compiled 2005). Salamat po.😃
Yung line mo Kasi na "good karma" ay nakita ko sa FORWARD page. 😅 I just thought you made this.
No, that wasn't me. 😊❤️🙏🏻
thank you Lex
You’re very welcome, sis. Thank you also for reaching out. There’s a special episode coming this Friday. I hope you’re able to watch it too. 😊❤️💯
Thank you sir for mentoring us through your videos! Super helpful.
Nakakapressure huhu pero kakayanin
Sir what about the form?
Not sure what you mean, kapatid. It’s a comprehensive discussion on the format, templates and the form of the kinds of answers you’ll need to meet different kinds of answers for law school exam questions. ❤️😊🙏🏻

Salamat, bro. Thank you also for being here. ❤️😊🙏🏻
pwede ba na hindi cursive ang handwriting during exams?
Hi, sir Lex! We haven't heard from you for a while na. We hope you're fine 💖
Happy to help, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Can we be friends? I need a lot of guidance and tutorial.. I'm a freshman ☺️
Now I know bakit laging di ako nakakakuha ng full credit kahit alam ko naman yung sagot. Thank you for this! 😊😊
Thank you po! God bless
katatapos lang ng exam hahaha na enumerate ko kaso walang legal basis shet paano na yun 🤧🤧
Apir! Lahat tayo may lutang moment na ganyan. I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hello sir. Sir ganito po ako minsan magsulat ng legal basis kasi ang hirap po imemorize exAct article ng law or title ng case.
“As a rule............”
“Under the civil code.......”
“In a case decided by the supreme court,.........”
So is it okay to site my legal basis this way sir if im not sure of the law or title of the case?
Thank you for your question, kapatid.
1. "As a rule" is vague. You are essentially calling a statement a rule without pointing to its origin or source.
2. "Under the Civil Code" is also vague. I don't recommend it because there are over 2,000 provisions on the Civil Code. The better citation is, "Under the Civil Code provisions on Property" or "Under the law on Property."
3. This is acceptable but could be too long to write and cite 20 times for an entire exam.
I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hi Lex! Is it okay to write some words in all-caps for emphasis?
No. Don't. That's very informal. Babagsak Ka pag ganyan.
Anong tawag po sa nag law pero di nakapasa sa bar exam?

Parang hindi ko pala talaga kaya mag law.. hahaha
Just like any skill, the skill of answering law school questions can be improved with practice, time and application. 😊❤️🙏🏻

Hi Atty. Any tips po para sa mga katulad kong magtetake ng PhiLSAT next month po? Thank you and get well soon po. 😊
Thank you, kapatid. The PHILSAT is out of my coverage, at the moment. It's another requirement that we didn't have back in the day. Do the hard work now, and you'll certainly reap that LEB Certificate. From there, I got you all the way until your oath taking. I will see you on the other side.
