- When you start practicing law, your client will not ask you, “Attorney - can you please enumerate and explain at least ten modes of extinguishing obligations?” In the real world, your client will be concerned with whatever defenses or remedies are available, and the chances of securing a positive ruling.
Memorization is the mental process of encoding information in the brain, and keeping it there. The second step is the recall, the retrieval of that information and expressing it in some other tangible form, usually recitation or through our exams. Doon tayo malabo. Aral naman tayo, hirap lang talagang makaalala.
Here are five tips to improve your recall and instantly improve your performance in law school in the Philippines.

"Gawing chismis yung mga kaso".
One of the most helpful way in recalling a case. Go to class early and magkwentuhan kayo ng seatmates mo pero cases ang topic. This was helpful during my Persons and Legal Ethics since sobrang controversial ng mga issues. Literal napapa WTF ako pag nagbabasa. During CRIM 1 & 2 naman napapasigaw ako sa nababasa ko. Sobrang expressive talaga ako lol. Yung mga humane moments ko na yon helped me during exams and recits. "Ay eto yung nakakadiri na kaso" ganon.

Legit yung gagawan mo ng kalokohan yung topic, hindi ko alam kung bakit pero effective sya for me para ma-retain yung information. Mas longer din ang information retention ko lalo na pag walang kwenta kaya minsan pag nag aaral ako ginagawan ko ng scenario na nakakatawa, downside is mag mumukha kang praning during exams kasi pag naalala mo yung inaral mo natawa ka. Please do videos naman, if possible, on the topics/subjects usually being tackled during the first and second sem of first year in Law School and so on.

SUMMARY:
1. Do NOT MEMORIZE at all. Breakdown the law into its important parts, then CONNECT these parts and understand their RELATIONSHIPS.
2. CONTEXTUALIZE memorization.
3. Recall under different stressful situations.
4. Use MNEMONIC devices.
5. Create a STORY or LINK between things you have to memorize and group them into chunks that make sense.
a. Mind Palace - Visualize items into everyday places you are already familiar with
b. 1/4 Sheet of paper - Fold a sheet of paper into four parts. Start a timer for 2 mins and write down the things you wish to recall. Repeat with a gradual reduction of time until you recall everything correctly.

ilang years po ang law school??
Law school can be completed in four years, while there are executive classes that meet only during the weekends. The subjects are limited, and you'll be able to finish your LLB or JD degree in five years. Hope this helps.
