[LAW SCHOOL PHILIPPINES] Practicing Mindfulness to Improve Focus for Law School in the Philippines
- One of the biggest problems we have as law students in the Philippines is the sheer difficulty of focusing, especially when we are reading our long cases, the codal provisions and the confusing textbooks.
We are distracted because we lack focus. We lack focus because our attention is pulled away by distraction. Now let me help you reclaim your lost focus, your lost attention with the simple activity of mindfulness.

thank you so much Attorney Lex lablab po....
abdullah here
This is so timely po. I've been having difficulties on staying focused during long hours of reading. My attention span is an issue, too. Law books are purely texts din kasi. Thanks, Sir Lex!
Thank you for sharing, sis. The only reason I conquered the National Internal Revenue Code (to a certain extent) is by breaking it down into a table. The Corporation Code, I studied mostly by drawing buildings and arrows, showing their interactions with officers and stockholders. I know it takes a bit more time but it works for us who learn best using images.
God bless you, sis. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️💯
Thank you 💞
By spending your time here, you are telling me and telling us that the hard work we do here actually matters. So thank YOU kapatid, for being here. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you very much Attorney for always reaching out to us. We can't thank you enough for being a channel of God's providence to us. With awe and a grateful heart from Cebu.
Thank you for sharing, kapatid. God bless you too and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
grateful for this episode. 🙂
I hope this helps, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. See you again on Friday! 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you po for this! I'm gonna try this so i can stop feeling anxious before doing anything. I hope it works!
1st year sa college here 💛💚💛 taking BS Legal Management, thank youu Sir Lex
This is so helpful since I'm always so distracted and end up shortchanged after studying. Thank you, Sir Lex!
One foot forward, one after the other. Things will get better. God bless you, sis and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion Thank you po. 🙇

Thank you so much for a very profound insights, Atty! :) I surely know this will help me a lot! God bless you po.
Another great video! Thank you po! ❤️
Thank you, sis. Next week, let me share about the discipline of single mindedness and how to use it to conquer law school. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you for this Kuya Lex :) . This reminded me of Luke 10:41-42. Really choosing what truly matters in our walk with God.
Thank you for sharing, sis. If you keep your eyes on the big picture, the big goals, it’s easy to stay the course, to stay motivated even if you haven’t finished much for the day. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Slamat sir lex😁
You’re welcome, kapatid. Hope this helps. Next week, let’s talk about the discipline of singlemindedness and how to conquer law school with it. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you for another great video. Sobrang hirap talaga mag focus but I will surely practice mindfulness. :)
Thank you for watching, sis. Thank you for being here. I’ll be sharing more of this in our future episodes. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you Atty. Lex! This is very helpful as I’m struggling with staying focus lately, and as our final exams get closer I feel more and more frustrated.
Salamat, sis. Thank you for the kind words. Recommended for viewing din ang episode on why the finals matter more and how to get back your law school motivation.
God bless you, kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. You are loved. ❤️😊🙏🏻
Sir Lex maganda po siguro if one of your future episodes talk about interpersonal relationship in law school.
Thank you for the suggestion, kapatid. I'll add this to the queue of our episodes. Salamat ulit! ❤️😊🙏🏻
Thank you Attyyyyyy ❤️❤️
Awwww... Thank you, sis. Happy to help. I think mindfulness is a huge part of success not just in law school, but almost everywhere else. Thank you for taking the time to reach out.
Focus is the key. Whatever people say dont mind them. 😊
Thank you, kapatid. Thank you for watching. Focus is easy for those of who don’t battle with anxiety. It’s almost usually the case that a law student has anxiety but simply chalks it off as worry, worry for school, worry for recitations or worry for work. I’ll be discussing more of this in a future episode.
@@LexInMotion Damn, on point. Pero, nung nadagdagan ng pressure and anxiety dahil sa law school, naglalabasan ulit anxiety ko before. I.e. social anxiety, fear of the unknown, fear of being ridiculed, fear of making myself look stupid. I got to deal with this head on, I need to win.
This soo accurate kuya lex. 👏 thank you po dito
Thank you, sis. Thank you for being here. One of the biggest burdens we have in law school is the sheer number of things that demand our immediate attention.
Mindfulness will help you deal with the moment, embrace the moment and act according to the moment.
Sana makatulong. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thank you, Atty! This is super helpful since sobrang dami talagang distraction sa panahon ngayon. Thank youuuuuu!
As a matter of policy, I keep my phone on airplane mode and hold all calls during the hours I need to engage in intense focus. The only reason for me to stand up is if I have to go to the restroom, like really have to go. Or if the MMDA calls for an earthquake drill yan lang.
Hope this helps, kapatid. Thank a full minute to just breathe and acknowledge the work before you. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion Noted po! I'll try that. 😊
that was intensely profound wow
Thank you, kapatid. 😊❤️🙏🏻
I have doubts if i have adhd, but i will take note of this
Thank you for this video atty! I just passed PhiLSAT at undecided pa ko kung anong gagawin after. 😊
Thank you for watching, kapatid. Thank you and nahanap mo rin ang channel. I started this project about a year ago. I started planning the work I’m doing here precisely because I want to help you, the incoming freshman become the best lawyer you can be.
May God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hello Sir Lex in your future videos pls. make a list of daily routines that we need to make to stay sharp.
and also our stress outlet outside of law school. thanks kapatid very informative video again.
Thank you for the suggestion, bro. My daily routine is savage, considering my work and my travel time but I’ll make a discussion of this in a future episode. 😊💯👌🏻
this is so true Sir, me not being focus as a result makes me incompetent with all I do.
Thank you for sharing, bro. Not every will admit it but having so many things on your mind will hamper your ability to get things done. I hope that this will help you somehow clear more space up there, so you can accomplish more.
God bless you and your law school dreams.
My 16 year old scar from college always helps me focused sir... WELCOME TO THE DARKSIDE PO sa mga nakakarelate :)
I use anger and thirst for vengeance as an ingredient to focus ;)
This may be a 3-year-old comment pero relate to the max! I find I can accomplish more when I‘m irked or pissed off haha
Thanks Sir Lex!
Thank you, sis and welcome to the Lex in Motion Community. This is safe space and feel free to share. Remember that a burden shared is a burden halved. I’ll always be here for you. Minsan, late lang mag reply but I do read all of your messages.
Find mentorship wherever it makes sense. If this is working for you, then thank you kapatid. God bless you and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Hi atty! I hope you can produce hoodies!
Thank you, bro. We will add new designs when the store re-opens in two weeks.
This Friday, let’s talk about the changes brought about by the Revised Corporation Code. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Sir lex discuss naman po kayu about sa mga subjects sa law school or mga target matrix sa Philsat. Thanks po
The PHILSAT is presently out of my coverage, bro. Kaya mo na yan. Past that, I got you until you take the bar. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion Thanks for motivating Atty. Lex
thank you ✨ hope this works on me! palagi akong nafafail sa mga 4hr study sessions attempt ko 😂
Stretching to four hours of intense focus is a process, sis. I’d always like to think of it as a muscle. If you use it with intensity and use it with duration, you will eventually go from 25 minutes (pomodoro) to four hours (deep work). Mindfulness is my warm up.
Be gentle with yourself when you fail. You’ll get better at it someday. 😊❤️💯
I have Autism, and probably ADHD and Anxiety disorders doing this is somewhat hard but i'll try
Haha
Hindi ka nag-iisa, kapatid. Your pain is my pain. Your struggles are mine too. Together, we can make it through.
God bless you, kapatid and your law school dreams. 😊❤️🙏🏻
@@LexInMotion God bless you rin sir Lex.
Yung intro 😅
