The reason Kobe isn't brought up as much is because he's a carbon copy of MJ, but not as good. They're almost the exact same player. LeBron is different. He's a pass-first 6'9" 260lb small forward that also averages over 27ppg for his career. Kobe is MJ-lite. That's not a knock at Kobe, he's the 2nd best SG of all-time barring James Harden continuing the onslaught he's on for another 5-7 years.

💯💯💯💯💯 which is a Lot of the reason I can't stand Letrash king of getting swept twice James. Because he passive aggressively Disses Kobe when talking about the greats of all time especially when mentioning Jordan you have to say Kobe too because they are the same player It's Jordan then Kobe you can't act like u as gr3at as Jordan but act like Kobe wasn't that same Killer. Bron ain't even close to norther one of them. He needs to stop putting himself in that talk.

@@user-gc1wj8tt2p Lebron James also has more turnovers in the post season then anyother player in NBA history. Also lets not forget how many bad games Lebron had in the finals. An 8 point game with 5 turnovers against the Mavericks and averaged 17 ppg that series and lost. Lebron James has had 8 games worse in the finals the Michael Jordans worse game where Jordan scored 22 points in the finals. Lebron James has only been the best scorer in the league 1 time in 16 years. For someone who is supposed to be more dominant then the other players in his era he has only been the best on offense once and was never the best on defense because he has never won Defensive Player of the Year. Jordan had 10 scoring titles and also won Defensive Player of the Year. Lebron James is great in his era but he is nowhere close to being as good as MJ on offense or defense. He only averages 1 more assist and 2 more rebounds per game then MJ come on and he had to join Wade and Bosh in Miami to win 2 rings. The 3-6 mafia always trying to spread this false narative that Lebron James has somehow passed Magic, Kobe, Shaq, Kareem, Bird, Wilt all the way up to Michael Jordan as being the greatest ever.

Buzz B but you literally just said Kobe couldn’t pass LeBron because Lebron was never the second best on his team. Yet Kareem was the second best on his team once Magic took over. Being the second best on your team is not an issue. Kobe was only second best for a few years, yet still dropped 25+ ppg for the majority of the playoffs. You contradicted yourself by saying Kareem is the greatest Laker and discrediting Kobe by saying Kobe wasn’t even the best on his team when the same thing can be said for Kareem and Magic

      I Am The Night
Bro Kobe is the Definition of the 2000s Era.
      From 2000-2010
      Kobe averaged: 28.5ppg, 5.2ast, 5.8rebs, on 45.6%FG, 34.2% 3pt, 84.3%FT shooting, 1.7stl a game. Won 5 Chips, played in 7 western conference finals (out of 10years)and never lost. 7 for 10!
Where in the West 5 to 8 teams has 50+ wins a year.
      He should have 3MVP’s
2002-2003 this Man Average 30PPG 7rebs, and 6AST on 45% fg, 38% 3pt fg, 84% ft, and 2.2 STL a game! First team All-NBA and First team defense All-NBA... oh and played all 82 games! At Only 24!
If that ain’t the definition of robbed idk what is.
Oh and Shaq only played 65games, they have to give him that MVP!
Plus in 2006-2007 47wins (which is good enough for an MVP, that’s 3 shy of a 50 win season) with bums (IN THE WEST)!
Averaging 31.6 ppg, 5.4ast, 5.7 rebs, on 46% fg, 86% ft, All-NBA first team, first team defense All-NBA, and scoring 81 points in a game (The greatest scoring performance in the shot clock Era). David Stern and the NBA dislike Kobe because of the rape charge. Didn’t was him to be the face of the NBA.
      Now from 2000-2010 Kobe:
      1999-00 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2000-01 All-NBA Defensive (2nd team)
      2001-02 All-NBA Defensive (2nd team)
      2002-03 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2003-04 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2005-06 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2006-07 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2007-08 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2008-09 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2009-10 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
      2010-11 All-NBA Defensive (1st team)
Can you tell me how many All-NBA defensive team Shaq made for his Career? Only 3 and they all are 2nd Team (1999-2000, 2000-2001, 2002-2003) but he so called Dominated the 2000s Era? No
Kobe also defeated Tim Duncan 5-2 times during the period in the playoffs! Also from 2007-2014 Duncan was missing. He won 3 chips in 2000s (1st ring in 1999) vs. Kobe 5.
There is no question 2000s Era has Kobe writing all over. Remember Lebron didn’t start Win until 2012. & Shaq himself called Kobe “the best in player in the NBA/world” in 2001. ua-cam.com/video/02NeajL75e8/v-deo.html
Now please tell me what’s you definition of Dominating an Era?

While he’s definitely not in the GOAT discussion, Vince Carter deserves a lot more respect than he’s given. How many players get drafted to a 16 win team and single handedly take them to the playoffs the next 2 years averaging 26ppg and 28ppg? His second best scorer in Toronto was Antonio Davis lol. And they say LeBron has no help. It’s sad that knee and quad injury robbed him of his elite athleticism in 2002. The media ate him alive for not living up to expectations as the next MJ. But he’s still here after they said he was done and a waste of talent. Still respected at 41 and the reason a lot of fans and current players started getting interested in basketball. He also changed his game to a role player better than any superstar. Respect.

    • @dametime128
      @dametime128 6 років тому

Vc. Admitted after he left Toronto that his last year he didn’t work hard and didn’t try hard. He lost alot of respect from fans, he was also very lazy and was never a good defender, carter only had 2 or 3 good years. The rest of his career was dissapointing, he’s just one of those guys that didn’t want to put in the work, one of those guys looking for that paycheck.

    • @SaadJ15
      @SaadJ15 6 років тому +5

Adam Jamison disappointing? Guess you missed out on an amazing career. 25k points, 10 straight years of averaging more than 20ppg, scoring over 26ppg in the playoffs during his prime years...more than 30 game winning shots (top 3 in NBA history) and possibly the most exciting athlete in the world during his first 5-7 years. Your just repeating the same baseless accusations...he never said he didn’t play hard he was responding to a question about working out in the summer and coach John Thompson actually apologized to him for that interview because of the way ESPN edited it. But if I was VC I would request a trade too with that incompetent organization he had to deal with in Toronto. he was dealing with injuries and trying to get his game back on track between 2002-2004...Toronto gave up on him. One example: he wanted Zach Randolph in the 2001 draft. He wanted Andre Iguodala in the 2004 draft...the Raptors drafted Michael Bradley and Rafeal Arujo lol

LeBron will never be better than MJ or Kobe, but like Vince Carter said, he is a special player that we've never seen before. Skill wise, LeBron isnt better than Byrd either, but his size and presence on defense gives him the edge. LeBron is no doubt one of the greats, but it is sad that because the media has to fill their airwaves with controversial topics to get ratings that they have to constantly have this futile debate. MJ and Kobe are better than LeBron and always will be even if LeBron wins another championship or racks up more MVPs. Just talk about how special LeBron is, and call it a day.

Having that “killer instinct” is about individuality. Meaning you are going to do what it takes to win by yourself. Back then that could work but it just can’t work in this day in age. With all the 3pt shooting and ball movement and switching etc you just can’t win it all without another consistent superstar with you.

MJ wasn't a stupid bull of a player like Westbrook is currently, he was smart enough to know how to win, it's the way he wanted it and killed for it that made him different.

The fact that Lebron carried *this* team into the finals is honestly more impressive than any title MJ ever won. Idc if Lebron is 3-100 in the finals, my eyes don’t lie, he’s the GOAT
    EDIT:
    1. MJ facing better competition is a complete myth. He never beat Bird’s Celtics and beat the Bad Boy Pistons after they got old and already won 2. If you’re saying that Reggie Miller’s Pacers team or Patrick Ewing and John Stark’s Knicks team were that “tougher competition”, you’re delusional
    2. On every level of basketball, the greatest player isn’t always on the best team. MJ was blessed to not only have great basketball abilities, but also great teammates and arguably one of the greatest coaches this game has ever had. Lebron has lacked both of those for a majority of his career and still has 3 rings

Kangman02 that’s not “all the greats” lol Oscar, Zeke, Scottie and others have Bron over Kobe. however, Kobe fans need to feel validated so they literally make a list of all the players who say Kobe so that they can feel validated. foh with that nonsense.

I don’t recall Jordan ever getting spanked 0-4 in the Finals so i think it’s safe to say that this matter is closed permanently..........

One thing's for sure. I'm pretty damn lucky to have witnessed MJ, Kobe, and LBJ.

Y'all ever think Vince saying Kobe better than LeBron because Vince and Kobe have very similar games?
