Ever since then the Cavs have only scrambled to even out the odds but nothing has worked, and now they have no trading chips and a team that is built for LeBron to leave, a team that’ll instantly get them back into the Draft Lottery when he leaves, a team with a good amount of youth and Veterans that they can start a rebuild with. The Cavs have to get over this “can’t do anything without LeBron era” that’s lasted 17 years now. Even when LeBron was still in High School all Cleveland could think about was drafting LeBron at #1... If LeBron wants to compete, he has to leave Cleveland. The Cavs put this new team together as a last minute resort to have something to rebuild with if LeBron leaves, which is looking more likely than ever.
