If Floyd Mayweather beats Conor McGregor, should it count towards his undefeated record?
ESPN should Browns preseason wins count as regular season wins?
@Espn If Floyd Mayweather wins it shouldn't count. If Conor McGregor wins it counts. Get him out of here coach.
Hell no..if he lost it wouldn't count but celebrated.
Sas just disagreed for nothing. A amateur is a amateur....Connor is just already famous
The fight is a fucking joke
Max gets that serious face when its a boxing topic lol he knows he knows way more than Steven A on the subject
He should just stick with boxing. Not too many analysts can say they know more about the subject.
Yeah but stephen A has said this
Max also knows that May record is so great because he fought 22 champions and hofers but he dont say that. Now listen to older interviews when May was under Bob Aurim then he was the best ever haha
Stephen becomes Stephen B when max is around.
@@maroccomar2334 TBE as far as the business of boxing and maxing out on earnings and having minimal injuries, but he’s not the GOAT.
Mayweather is already 50-0. He defeated the Big Show at WrestleMania 24.
Daniel Orteez 51-0 didn’t he beat his ole lady ass
fake ass floyd
@@godsenddjoker5341 Fraud Floyd sounds a bit better
Mayweather Your fake champion
That’s scripted dumb as
Cringe anytime Stephen A attempts to argue Boxing with Max.
It's like a baby arguing with a professor lol.
Max Kellerman's boxing knowledge is on point
Nelson bolanos never went 50 and 0 he finished 34 and 5 first time I’ve seen him wrong though
So if he lose does it count?
if he wins that shit dont count..and im a big Mayweather fan
Rich Jackson what? So answer bro question if he loses will he be 49-1..if so then the win should count too if not then this just a charity fight and we all know that ain't the case.
If he loses give him 49- 1 but if he wins I dont want to see him bragging about being 50- 0
idk, is the Antonio Inoki fight on Muhammad Ali's record?
rayrza2 they didnt fight in boxing, so the record is not on alis boxing record. It was a kind of free fight
Max kellermans the best hands down
my wife lets me watch espn when he's on
max always looking like he about to spit some bars whenever given the opportunity
If McGregor counts, Then The Big Show should count too.
Robert Wisdom uh Floyd beat Big Show
Robert Wisdom lol
Yeah.. So he's already 50-0
Rap Sure-Exactly. Lol.
Malcolm Little-Exactly. He should already be 50-0
Why the fuck do they have to speak of it in such a complicated way. It's a boxing match that Mayweather wanted, therefore, whether he wins or loses, it should go on his record. It's that simple
Jerome H lets not forget the fact that Conor called him out and then fans wanted it before Floyd even entertained it.
James Jones Very True
I was about to say the same thing. Floyd even said in interviews he didn't even know Connor McGregor was until he heard him calling him out in multiple interviews and press conferences
Jerome H Randy got the W vs Toney.... Sooo
It's true but Mayweather was retired, it's not like he was forced to take the fight. He took it upon himself to accept it
Once Conor got his boxing license, he became a professional boxer. He's no different than Canelo or Mosley. He's entering his first professional fight, but it is a sanctioned and professional fight nonetheless. All the stats in this fight should count and should go on the record of both fighters.
Let's say, instead of Conor, Floyd fought a no name amateur making his pro debut. That would still be counted as a professional fight and it would count as Floyd having a 50-0 record. Just because it's a pro debut doesn't mean it doesn't count.
People only call this fight an "exhibition" because of how lopsided they feel this fight will be. This isn't Thunderlips vs Rocky. Conor isn't stepping into the ring barefoot wearing 4 oz gloves.
Megumi I somewhat agree cause all his wins are knockouts and have been done mostly standing up.
Just haters.
Whacugondowiththeselosers
Max won Unanimous here, Stephen A. was out classed by Max lol Stephen A. is in Maywetaher's pay day. hahaha
Max is 1000% correct. 50-0 will be legit but has nothing to do with the heavyweight record. There are fighters below heavyweight that retired undefeated and some that had more than 50 wins.
Anyone else really happy that boxing is becoming big on First Take?
Stephen A. Smith You are a CLOWN!
Floyd may be an undefeated fighter but clearly he's not the Greatest of all time. 🤭
Name one fighter who can beat Floyd, other than Sugar Ray Leonard
@@markydan1232 castillo. Easy
@@killerbee691 Castillo did not win either of those fights, y’all need to stop
@@markydan1232 Whitaker in my opinion would be the major favourite against Floyd
Floyd definitely the greatest of all time. Over Ali over ray Leonard.
I remember as a child you couldn't pay me to sit and watch sport discussions but now I watch it religiously and always find myself intrigued.
Dayum, I agree with max on the one.
Lol you sound surprised to say that
Max just obliterated SA AGAIN
He's a lot better when it comes to commentating on Boxing.
max is right
SAS has that "I think I know everything" voice in this video. He always thinks he knows everything, but he only speaks in this tone sometimes
Anyone can tell me what's the name of the song at 0:50?
so if Conor somehow ko's Mayweather, everyone would want that loss to be on his professional record.
so then should it be 49-1 if he should lose??? then it shouldn't count either way....
Sometimes numbers are just a numbers
Jimmy Wilde was 94-0 before his first loss, his final record was 131 wins with only three losses and 1 draw
Finito lopez 51-0 retired as champion in the 90s
sports genius who??? Lol
Mr Boot Ricardo ell finito Lopez
sports genius yeah no
Mr Boot you don't know shit
sports genius yeah sure but no he has a lost relax
I bet if Floyd were to lose, every one will say he should be 49-0
I agree with Max he used facts
You ever tried counting how many times Max blinks when he listening to someone else talk......
Mayweather fought anybody who was thought of better than him and beat them easily he deserves this record more than anyone, so what it's gonna be non competitive but he has done over 10 years of world championship fights
Connor I bet you would be okay with Serena Williams vs Roger Federer.
Terrible comparison...
He fought everyone out of their prime or when they were being hyped up and too young
Mayweather always cherry picked his opponents, everyone knows that. He fought Pacman past his prime.
he fought Pacquiao out of his prime he waited too long, enough time when he knew he would win he lost to maidana he lost to castillo he lost to de la hoya he didn't fight GGG i think that says enough of Mayweather
Are they fighting for the belt?
depends on how good the fight is...
I've only heard the media count this as #50.
Well the point both Max and Steven A. are missing (which surprises me given that they are supposedly boxing experts) is that 50-0 is not really a record. Marciano's 49-0 is the longest undefeated streak only in the heavyweight division. The longest record in all of boxing is 87-0 set by Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. Chavez went 87-0 before having a draw, then went 91-0-1 before finally losing a fight, plus there have been several previous champions with more than 50 wins on their resume prior to losing. As I said, 49-0 is only the heavyweight record. Floyd can't touch that because he's never competed at heavyweight. He doesn't qualify to chase the Marciano record due to not competing in that weight class and at age 40 he will never catch Chavez at 87-0. I can't believe how Max, a supposed boxing expert doesn't get that.
Max over there lookin like the undertaker 😂
Max definitely earns this paycheck, he's a knowledgeable SOB
Stephen A: I respectfully disagree with you .. totally. 😐
Julio Caesar Chavez fought cab drivers
Bklynstndup and a part time mariachi band member
It don't matter if he deserves it or not if he wins he will have it end of conversation.
I don't really get how Mayweather fans do numbers but I guess it's the illiteracy thing since 0 is the only number you're familiar with... birds of a feather do flock together. Ask about Julio César Chávez, Willie Pep, Jimmy Wilde look at the numbers then come back and make that noise!
Chavez lost 4 times
Wille fought even more Bums than Marciano.
@@henryix9229 241 fights, it's inevitable
What song is that
Max, we love you.
Steven a is correct. This event is a disgrace and an insult to all boxers
MAX STOP BLINKING!!
regardless of the circumstances its a pro fight, win or lose it counts
Pacquiao at 42, is scheduled to fight on August 21, 2021 against the undefeated / unified WBC & IBF 147lbs champion E. Spence Jr an eleven years younger. They're fighting for the "Lineal', Ring plus WBA, WBC, IBF titles. Spence is much taller, has longer reach, way bigger, heavier. And he's the current # 1 in the Welterweight plus the # 5 in the Pound for Pound best as of June 25, 2021.
This is my whole ordeal with this, Rocky had a real padded record and there's many facts on that. Floyd had come back fights with guys that were tune up fights and would fight the champ the next fight. Rocky would face bums fight after fight and there are stories on some fighters taking dives. Floyd doesn't have that kind of history with questionable losses other than maybe a fight that was very close and he gave him a rematch to just shut him up.
1:25 exactly why I believe it counts as a 50th win, 100% agree with max
Everybody always goes against mayweather ever since he started boxing, and he always prove people wrong. I don't know how people hate greatness. 50-0
The comparisons that Max used to rationalize this are both ridiculous and disgraceful.
Why wouldn't this fight count tf
How do you disagree with max kellerman when it comes to boxing
There's no way it should count. Like Stephen A. Smith said Connor is not even a boxer, so to me I don't think it should count.
why does kellerman blink 3 times a second lol
Thank you Max!!!!!! 100%
Going to 50 for fighting an MMA fighter that's crazy I can't believe this shit Mayweather stealing every casual money.
Only boxing fans who support domestic violence support floyd and think he is tbe. Theres no way imma respect a man that fought his wife b4 and waited for a ko b4 he finally took a fight with manny
Chevaughn Miller bro I can guarantee somebody you like in music, TV shows or whatever has done some shit and you still rock with em. I ain't no damn woman beater at all I don't condone it but get tf over it bruh be went to jail time served. Plus that shit was fishy anyway that lady ain't have no scars or nothing on her but whatever
Alot of those all time greats from back in the day faught guys who were making there 1st pro debut or fighting guys with losing records...Sugar Ray Robinson faught like 31-32 different fighters that were below 500 fighters or making there pro debuts... Thats not even counting guys who had double digit losess...
Floyd lost to Castillo.
I watched that fight and didn’t see what everyone else was seeing, I honestly thought Mayweather slapped Castillo around the ring. The first Madiana fight was close but Mayweather won the last 6 rounds
Beautifully said by both guys 👍
Whether it should or shouldn't it does. It's on the books. Its a sanctioned boxing match.
Did Randy get a W vs Toney? Yes.. Nuff said
I shouldn't have counted.
So by Stephen A. logic, Randy Cotoure win against James Toney doesn't count because Toney wasn't a MMA fighter.
Based on what was said is it accurate to say if he loses it doesn't count?
Mayweather’s fight against the Big Show on WWE should count.
If your first fight counts, as the beginning of your professional career, your last fight should count as well even if its being against a first timer professional boxer, who by the is the an elite UFC fighter.
Stephen (and Marciano jr.) are correct in saying that this outcome should not effect either of their records because of the obvious.
Rocky Marciana fought bums and won some of them fights due to the Mafia making them guys "dive". Most people forget Marciano had ties with the Mafia.
Floyd changed the game to where if you have a loss on your record your a scrub lol
That wasnt a good change. Fighter are now being "safe" picking matches bc 1 loss could end them. Those are ppl fans, not boxing fans.
He cannot compare himself to rocky Marciano anyway, Rocky had 43 wins by knockout, therefore a better record !!
darren barnes stupid..stupid. George foreman a.c. more ko.than ali...is he better ..stay out of way u Do not no about
Maurice Willims 49-0 26 knockouts, 49-0 43 knockouts ..... there it is right there, so tell me who has the better record moron ....... doesn't matter anyway, it'll be 49-1 soon enough !!
darren barnes a ko does not equate to a better win. Floyd goes out and wins 80% of the rounds in just about every fight. In several of Marciano's fights he was knocked down and had to struggle to a win.
jamal bethune whether he struggled or not he still knocked out all but 6 of em. You keep living up mayweathers arse and throw your comments elsewhere
darren barnes stfu idiot. 50-0
He's applauding his unbeaten wrecked
Ok if it doesn't count to 50-0, then it shouldn't count as 49-1 if he loses
50-0
Bil cosby- r kelly- bobbi valentino- usher raymond- magic -johnson- zach Randolph- including there has been about 3 rappers being shot in the last 3 weeks
I agree it counts but max completely missed on comparing a pro-debut of a guy who won an Olympic in boxing to a guy making his pro-debut and is an MMA... Totally missed it there
Floyd he lost five times but the judges something wrong
Randy couture fought James toney
If you count a loss then you have to count a win as well. If Floyd wins he should be recognised as 50-0
Molly looks so different now
the real question comes if his record goes to 49-1
It should count! Anytime Floyd Steps in the ring AND FIGHTS IN A Professional Licensed Contest It Should count. Because on any give day he can lose... So, if you count the loses, you most definitely have to count the wins....
Rocky jr just wants the rematch to happen, he wanted floyd to hit the bait
Should have been counted as an exhibition fight
Quick question, aren't they in the same building? Why tf they doing this split screen crap?
I love how people think the past was this glorious integrity. Boxing was always corrupt even from the beginning.
chavez sr fought 45 bums in mexcio
i don't think this one is how you feel if it should count or not, it just is what it is. correct me if im wrong but its a sanctioned event with signed contracts so it is a real fight and it should count. Is this being promoted as an exhibition?
Keller man mad confident talking about boxing
Joseph Decesare he been a boxing analyst for years
It's gonna count as a 1 in the defeat section...
If Floyd loses to Conor, I bet they gonna say it counts.
Max brought facts and historical context and SAS brought his feelings smh
This is a professional boxing match sanctioned by real boxing rules in the T-Mobile Arena. Both teams have signed their contacts into having their fighters compete in professional boxing matches, and both teams agreed to have a boxing match with a certified referee. This is a REAL boxing match, it doesn't fucking matter if Floyd is fighting Helen Keller. It's a real fight, it counts towards his record win or lose.
If that's the case then if Floyd lose should it count. This should go both ways
All yall responding we gone see what yall really made of when the time right we all see how crazy shit really getting
people talk all this shit about floyds record but he fought his fights in america every other so called undefeated fighter like chavez, duran, canelo majority of their fights was not in america so im not sayin they wouldnt be undefeated i just kno they wouldnt have that many fights on their record
Stephen A. should not be talking about boxing.
We are NOT in the past.
Why is steven a acting like McGregor is a slouch like he isn't a trained seasoned fighter
Stephen A is a casual boxing reporter who is an basketball analysis
If you are undefeated, it only means that you didn't have the balls to fight better opponents. There is no such thing as an undefeated or perfect fighter. Greatness doesn't come from being undefeated, it comes from facing adversity and overcoming it. Floyd hasn't bothered to take on the best at their best (ie. Pacquiao, Mosely, Marquez, etc)....were all out of their primes or certain conditions they had to meet that diminished their levels (ie see Marquez and how much weight he had to put on in such a short time...he looked fat...then look at him later vs pacquiao how he was ripped and on roids).
Floyd ducked a lot of great fights out there....he should have taken on a prime Sergio Martinez and GGG.
